Chacho

Chacho is a 5-month-old Miniature Schnauzers in Long Beach, CA, who needs $1,450 for Bone Plate Surgery.

Long Beach, CA

Hi everyone my puppy’s name is Chacho and I named him that because of a K-drama called Hometown Cha Cha Cha and so I call him Chacho Cha Cha Cha. I adopted him about a month and a half ago and although it seems like a little time I truly love him, he’s my little fur baby. It breaks my heart that he got hurt. Chacho loves to play fetch when I take him to the light house. He even listens more to my 3 year old son than he does to me sometimes and is quite sassy when I tell him no. He gets so excited when family members come over even though he has a fractured leg that does not stop him from jumping from excitement. He also knows how to sit haha:) Chacho is such a sweet boy. He loves my 3 year old son and doesn’t leave his side. He’s always excited when seeing new friends. He loves cuddling and loves his favorite toy elephant. He loves going to the lighthouse and run around on the grass. He is a talker and if he doesn’t like something he starts getting sassy. He’s a lover and loves to be loved and give love back. Chacho was hit by a car on Easter Sunday. We were crossing when a car did not make their stop and hit him.I could not pull him fast enough with his leash and the car did struck him. The person did not stop and sped away.He has a humerus fracture on his left leg. We rushed him to the ER where they confirmed he will need surgery. I did not qualify for care credit nor a loan. Please share his story. This was a sudden emergency and I put all my savings into Chacho’s emergency visit. I don’t have enough to pay for his surgery and I don’t want to surrender him. Please if anyone can help I will greatly appreciate it.

Baby

Baby is an 8-year-old Rottweiler/Black Lab Mix in Olympia, WA, who needs $1,575 for Emergency C-Section.

Olympia, WA

Baby came into my life as an animal that I rescued. I have a passion for rescuing animals in need of loving forever homes. Once they get here they hardly ever want to leave. Baby is 8 years old and has had one litter of pups when she was 2 years old. She spends her days playing with her son that was born 6 years ago and also, Princess Buttercup who is a cockatiel that is also rescued. Baby is a docile, friendly, and loving queen of the animals around my home. She is the leader of our family pack and takes care of all the animals around here. She has a natural act of caring for all living beings in a general matter. She sleeps right by my side in my bed and has brought me comfort and joy throughout the many years we have spent together. Baby is unlike other dogs to me because she is like my child. She helps me through my worst days in life and is always there for me when I need a friend. I am not able to count too many humans in my life that are there for me the way that she is. Baby never lets me down. My Foster son gets so much joy spending time with her as well. He Loves to take her on walks and plays with her often. Baby is currently @ Olympia Pet Emergency Hospital and experiencing Dystocia, (Difficult Birth). She got pregnant by surprise and ended up birthing a breach stillborn and since going on 24 hours, has not been able to birth the other 6 pups that the vet found heartbeats for. God is very good and I know her life and the lives of these pups are in good hands at this vet hospital. Prayers. It would mean the world to me for Baby to come out of this situation healthy as well as her babies. I am experiencing financial hardship dealing with covid, piled up bills, and trying to take care of my privately fostered son (NOT state-funded).

Mimi

Mimi is a 4-year-old Domestic LH Tabby in Hidden Valley Lake, CA, who needs $2,000 for Dental Surgery.

Hidden Valley Lake, CA

Little Miss Mimi came into my life as an owner surrender at 3 years old. Her former owner could not keep her when she moved. I took her home on a what should have been an 8 hr & turned into 16 hour car ride due to a freak show storm in Southern CA. She was a perfect traveler and never had to be crated! I planned to foster her & adopt to friend. The friend was not a good match so Mimi is ours. Mimi is a playful sprite mixed with sassy catitude. She gets along with my other cats at play & won't be bullied despite her tiny size & weight of 7.5 pounds, She is fiesty & looks like a mini Maine Coone X. Mimi is a real people loving cat. She loves to snuggling on my shoulder at bedtime & giving hugs. She answers you when you say something to her. She is kind to all humans & just enjoys Love ❤ I had to retire early due to Psoriatic Arthritis preventing me from doing my data entry job & I did not get my full pension. I'm 61 & disabled for life. I volunteer as a foster for a local 501-3C CatRescue. I sacrifice so my cat family only gets quality food & my cars down. I took a look at Mimi's mouth & noticed Mimi had a missing fang & she bad breath. I took her to Jerri Waddington DVM's practice in Clearlake, CA. Upon examination she found 3 very bad teeth needing extraction & her gums were infected. with some gingivitis. She was given a Covena shot for the infection. It looked very painful yet Mimi gave us no signs she was hurting & eats. & drinks normally. Mimi has really blossomed since she came to us. She had no outdoor access before because the desert area she came from was a predators heaven with no place to hide or be safe except indoors. She loves sitting on the porch railing enjoying a gentle breeze romping in the grass and leaping at flying buggies. If I'm sitting Mimi stands on her hind legs put her front paws on me & tells me she's happy ❤

Anakin is a 12-year-old Chihuahua in Claremont, CA, who needs $3,400 for cancer treatments.

Claremont, CA

Anakin came into our lives on a visit to Barstow, Ca. We adopted him and his sister Alvie. Alvie has since passed. He has other four legged companions running around. Anakin I very dainty and his other companions are a little on the rough side so for the most part he’s on the sidelines. He loves sleeping on my sisters bed overnight! Anakin is such a little ham, he loves being carried like one cradles a baby. He mostly clings to my sister and loves her so much to the point that he looks for when not in the same room. He also likes sleeping on everyone’s bed but loves sleeping under the covers. We all get to cutting our fair share of Anakin love ❤️ I’m in financial distress due to being on fixed income. I’m receiving social security and my daughter can only provide minimal financial assistance due to loss of job because of COVID-19. Anakin was diagnosed with cancer late last year and he’s undergoing treatment with chemotherapy and will be ongoing. The pill for us not working and will need several treatments Intravenously that will hopefully work and keep him comfortable. VCA California Veterinary Specialists-Ontario Oncology department is where he’s having cancer treatment. Anakin is very cute and adorable. He grins and sneezes when he’s happy and gets excited especially when he’s getting boiled chicken. think the grin is literally a smile and that makes me smile and laugh. He loves taking pictures especially with hats and he’s very Photogenic and loves blueberries and watermelon.

Photo of Laila

Laila

Laila is a 5 year old American Bulldog in Lawrenceburg, KY, who needs $901 for Emergency Spay for Pyometra.

Lawrenceburg, KY

Laila was a puppy from a litter that I bred.. I could not sell her and got stuck with her because she had a crick in her tail and would not be able tocompete in shows. Today, I am glad that she had that crook in her tail! She has become my best friend, and has saved my life in more ways than one. Laila is an only pet. And is very territorial with any other animals.. On Feb 20 Laila had to have an emergency spay surgery for pyometria. without the surgery, she would not have made it through that day. I explained to the vet that I did not have the money upfront to pay for the surgery., they insisted on doing it anyway. Now, 4 days later they are saying they are keeping my dog until I pay $500 of the $901 vet bill to Danville KY Animal Clinic. She is very spoiled, and lazy! lol But she get nothing but Love and attention all day, everyday. Laila is also my emotional support animal. When I’m sad or stressed, she knows it. That’s when she will waddle to me for rubs, hugs, and loves. These last 4 days have been hard without her. So I can’t imagine never getting her back bc I simply don’t have the money to pay the vet. Having Laila well and back home again will be a huge releif. I am forever grateful to the vet who did the surgery. They saved her life! When no other vet would do it.. but they should have been clear about the payment in the beginning. I’m just ready for her to come home.!

Zelda

Zelda is a 4-month-old GSD/Rot Mix in Spring Hill, TN, who needs $1,675 for Parvo Treatment - Monoclonal Antibody.

Spring Hill, TN • Rubies and Rogues

Zelda is a stunning young lady who came into our program due to her owner leaving a poor/unsafe living situation. Zelda is currently with our rescue and in an amazing foster home where she is the only dog and is deeply loved by not only her fosters but our team as well. She has several people waiting to meet her to hopefully be the perfect match for this girl to find her forever home. Zelda loves everyone and everything. She is working through trusting people and learning all about life, but this girl has a heart bigger than life itself. Despite having the leave the family she's known her short life, she has shown she is resilient and she keeps her foster mom active with walks, play, and helping her recover from her hip surgery. Zelda is special because she embodies resilience. Despite working through fear herself, she always shows love. She is very loyal and attentive and loves being around her people. She has adjusted so well to the life changes she has experienced and has such an amazing life ahead of her. Zelda came to our organization as a 17 week old pup. She started showing symptoms of parvo and we immediately took her to our vet where she tested positive for parvo. We were able to catch the virus in its early stages and she is currently in observation and care at Animal Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN and has received the monoclonal antibody to work on beating the virus. As a 501(c)3 we rely solely on donations to operate. During the month of January our rescue saved over 80 animals - animals scheduled for euthanasia, neglect cases, and/or diagnosed with medical needs - this large intake has nearly exhausted our funds.

Stoney

After a Lifetime of Ear Pain, Stoney Needs Surgery for Lasting Relief

Wakefield, MA • Paws 4 A Cure

For 11 years, Stoney has been a beloved companion, loyal friend, and cherished member of his family. His mom rescued him as a tiny kitten when she found him sick, underweight, and struggling with green discharge coming from his eyes. She took him in, nursed him back to health, and from that day forward, Stoney became her constant source of comfort and joy. Now, this sweet senior cat needs help once again. Throughout his life, Stoney has battled chronic ear problems, including recurring ear infections and painful polyps. He has already undergone multiple procedures to remove the growths, but they continue to return, causing ongoing discomfort and affecting his quality of life. After years of treatment, Stoney's veterinarian has recommended a Ventral Bulla Osteotomy, a specialized surgery designed to remove the diseased tissue responsible for the recurring polyps and give him the lasting relief he deserves. The good news is that his veterinary team is optimistic about his prognosis and expects him to recover well following surgery. The challenge is the cost. Stoney's mom is doing everything she can to provide the care he needs, but unexpected veterinary expenses have become overwhelming. She needs help raising the remaining $500 needed to move forward with this important procedure. Despite his chronic health issues, Stoney remains the affectionate, playful cat his family adores. He still loves snuggling with his mom and playing with his favorite toys, and he brings comfort and happiness not only to her but also to her grandchildren. Stoney has spent his life helping his family through difficult times. Now it's our turn to help him. Your tax-deductible donation will go directly toward Stoney's surgery and give him the opportunity to live free from the pain and frustration of recurring ear infections. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Stoney one step closer to healing. If you're unable to donate, sharing his story can make a tremendous difference. Thank you for supporting Stoney and helping Paws 4 A Cure provide vital veterinary care to pets and families in need.
