Chee is a rez (turned city) dog rescued from death row in Fort Duchesne. Like many cattle dogs, she’s smart, stubborn, loyal, and very much a “velcro dog". She can be bossy and intense, and also a sweet girl who wants to be held during thunderstorms and fireworks. She loves treats, bones, fetch, car rides, barking at the mailman, and catching up on "pee mails” during walks. Chee was diagnosed with an acanthomatous ameloblastoma on May 6, 2026. It doesn’t spread to other parts of the body, but is locally aggressive and invades surrounding bone and tissue. Our regular vet removed the mass and affected tooth, but some tumor cells remained. We were referred to Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico to see Dr. Bannon who recommended a partial mandibulectomy. Chee is a support dog for my partner. She always knows what's happening in the house and takes her self-appointed job of supervising everyone very seriously. She loves being close to her people and has an uncanny ability to sense when someone needs comfort. She's remained resilient through moving states, losing two dogs, and welcoming another rescue pup and a cat. Chee’s surgery is estimated at $4,856-$5,942. This unexpected expense is a bit more than our household can comfortably absorb. We're going with the recommended treatment because she has a lot of life left and good years ahead of her. Molly is a 4-year-old family dog who lives with us in our home in Watertown, New York. She has been a healthy, happy companion her entire life and is a beloved member of our family. Molly lives indoors with us and shares a close bond with everyone in the household, especially our young son, Luca. Prior to this accident, she had no significant medical issues and enjoyed an active, playful life. Our beloved dog was recently struck by a vehicle and suffered multiple serious injuries. She was rushed to CNY Veterinary Medical Center, where she has been receiving intensive emergency care. Her injuries include a partially collapsed lung with fluid accumulation requiring aspiration, bruising to her lungs, a fractured ramus of the mandible (jaw), and a concussion resulting from the trauma. Molly is the heart of our family and never misses a chance to make us smile. She's playful, goofy, and absolutely convinced the world revolves around her. She adores our baby boy, Luca, and is always by his side. Whether she's demanding attention or smothering us with kisses and cuddles, Molly fills our home with unconditional love and joy every single day. Gobber is a five-year-old Mastiff with a gentle soul and a heart as big as his paws. Without warning, his stomach flipped—a life-threatening emergency that can turn fatal in hours. There was no time to wait, no time to hesitate. He was rushed into emergency surgery, and $3,000 later, his life was saved. We are beyond grateful he made it through. But the financial strain of an unexpected emergency like this is heavy, especially when caring for multiple animals. Chubz

Chubz has recently digested a pork bone and the bone is now stuck in his intestines. He is currently suffering and will need emergency surgery. We pray the surgery goes well so we can have our Chubz back. He’s a loving caring dog, he’s very attached to his owners and has attachment issues. Gets jealous when he doesn’t get pet and pushes his friend so that he can get pet. He eats and sleeps a lot. Chubz rolls around and stretches on the floor, he chases flies around the house, he hogs his food, he runs to his food so his partner Whinney doesn’t get any, he barks for attention, he rubs his head on your hand when he wants to get pet, and he wants to go in your bed to sleep with you. Since the check up at an urgent care vet, Chubz hasn’t been eating, drinking and he’s been fighting his sleep. He is low on energy and can’t even move to where he wants. We would have to move him around but he doesn’t have comfortable position because of the discomfort from his intestines. He used to be aggressive when his tail and back legs were touched but now he doesn’t care when its touched. We had no idea this would come up and we were financially unready. We didn’t want to put him to sleep because it was one of the only options we had but we were able to find an animal hospital that offered less towards the surgery.

Bailey is a beautiful chocolate Labrador Retriever born 9/10/2018, and she came into our lives through a truly special gift. Through the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and a generous breeder whom donated the puppy to my son Evan, who lives with multiple disabilities. We welcomed her to our family when she was eight weeks old, and Evan proudly chose her name. Bailey was recently diagnosed with a Spindle Cell Tumor by her Veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital in Tracy, California. The tumor on her leg needs to be surgically removed, although we have reduced some swelling it continues to grow. We were told that time is critical. If the tumor continues to grow, it may reach a point where surgery becomes more difficult or may no longer be an option. From the beginning, Bailey formed an extraordinary bond with Evan and has been his loyal companion, source of comfort, emotional support and best friend ever since. Bailey has remained by Evan’s side through countless medical challenges. Bailey is an irreplaceable part of Evan’s life. This is why Baileys health crisis is so heartbreaking to our family, she truly has been there in Evans need. Now it’s time to take care of Bailey, our family is doing everything we can, but we live on a very fixed income, and recent medical hardships our selfs. We need Bailey healthy and well so she can continue to be Evans life line, and best friend.

Donnie Is Fighting to Survive After a Horrific Injury

Donnie has already endured more suffering than any dog should ever have to face. When he arrived at the shelter, rescuers were shocked by the severity of his injuries. Donnie was found with a devastating wound to his genital area. His penis was severely swollen, deeply lacerated, and showing signs of tissue death. Veterinarians believe the injury may have been caused by something being tightly wrapped around the area, cutting off circulation and causing extensive damage. The pain Donnie must have experienced is unimaginable. While the exact circumstances remain unknown, what is certain is that Donnie is now in urgent need of lifesaving medical care. Veterinary specialists have determined that Donnie will likely require an emergency perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery to survive. During this complex procedure, surgeons will remove the necrotic tissue and create a new pathway that will allow him to urinate normally. Without immediate treatment, Donnie faces the risk of severe infection, ongoing pain, and potentially life-threatening complications. Despite everything he has endured, Donnie is still fighting. NYC Second Chance Rescue has rushed him to an emergency hospital where he is receiving critical care and being evaluated for surgery. His medical team is doing everything possible to relieve his suffering and give him the chance at the healthy future he deserves. The cost of emergency hospitalization, surgery, medications, diagnostics, and post-operative care is significant, but turning away is not an option. I rescued Roxy, from a shelter seven years ago in February. She had been in the shelter since November. Nobody wanted her because she was a senior dog. I was looking for a senior dog. She was so sweet and calm and very loveable. I decided to come back the next day with my grandchildren,too make sure she got along with them. We were a perfect match! She loves kid's, people, and lots of attention. Roxy, has a favorite neighbor name Larry, every time she sees him, she runs to him, because he usually has a treat for her and she just loves him. She is a people dog and loves belly rubs and her fur brushed. She absolutely loves the grandkids when they came to visit. If they fall asleep on the floor she is snuggled up right next to them. Roxy, doesn't like loud noises, she will run and hide under the bed. She cracks me up when she moves her bed from room to room. I always feed her the same time I eat and she gets done before I do, then she sits and stares at me and nudges my leg with her cold little nose too let me know she wants my food. She is the best dog I've ever had. She doesn't bark, she is very well house trained. Roxy, needs several teeth removed they are abscessed to the point that her eye was nearly swollen shut. The antibiotics have helped to take the swelling down. The treating Vet is Dr.Elizabeth Ley atThe Orcutt Veterinary Hospital She is my preisous little girl, I don't know what I would do without her. She is my companion. I am a 71 year old senior, living on a fixed income, in low income housing for seniors. The actual total for Roxys medical procedure may vary between: $940.00 and $1564.00. This would be a great hardship on me financially. It would be a great blessing for us for any help.

Max is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Havelock , NC, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

We rescued Max from a local animal shelter after he and his entire litter were turned in because they were not full bred. He was 3 months old when we met him and just fell in love. He is a mixed breed of chocolate lab and shepherd. He is gentle, walks himself with his leash and loves to play. He is the most laid back of all of our rescues. Max sustained a torn ACL before Christmas 2024. We received a referral for the Vet Specialty Hospital from Max's local vet and after the initial consult, Max had TPLO surgery in March 2025. He is approximately 15 weeks into recovery and has torn his other ACL and needs another TPLO procedure. He loves to play and catch balls and is just very active. Max loves jumping up and catching balls and other toys thrown by his humans. He is also very playful with his 3 siblings. He tried to referee when the others play rough and barks his concerns loudly! With this sudden unexpected additional expense of another TPLO procedure, we are in need of help in trying to get Max healthy again. We understand not everyone can help. THANK YOU!

Meet Trooper, this handsome fella came into my life as a puppy while I was picking up hay for my goats at a local farm. I had previously rescued an adult male chocolate lab, Cooper locally through a rescue facility and had him for about 10 years until his passing of age. It was within this time that I found out what great companions Labradors really are. Loyal to the end.. Recently trooper had stopped eating and losing weight. This was a concern to me obviously, and I took him straight to the vet. They completed x-rays, stool samples, bloodwork etc. The X-rays showed that his intestine shifted behind his lungs and had pierced a hole in his stomach, causing a blockage and making it difficult to breathe and allow food in with this type of hernia. He needs surgery. Trooper is only 2-1/2 years old and is the friendliest dog to everyone. He’s always near me on the couch, in bed or at my feet. If someone broke into my home he would simply lick them to death. He’s a quiet soul who simply enjoys company and a couple of pats on the head or a hug everyday. 2026 has been a tough year for myself. Lost my job in January. Lost my foot in February and now this news. In April I was awarded a prostheses and building back slowly.. I am still unemployed and my dog has been my companion through these difficult months. He deserves this
