Pepper came into our lives in September 2021 at 9 weeks old. She was a tiny kitten with a lot of heart and was ready to provide the love we always looked for in a pet. She is an absolute joy in our lives. Pepper was injured on June 29, 2025. The details of her injury are unknown. She was called into the house for breakfast and showed up with a broken leg. She was immediately rushed to VCA for care. Pepper is the best snuggle kitty ever. She knows when we are not well and her presence brings peace and joy. Although a shy cat at first, she does eventually warm up to newcomers in our home and is nothing but sweet and gentle. Pepper suffered a break/fracture to her tibia that requires surgical intervention. I was told average cost of surgical care and treatment will run nearly $10,000. I do not have this kind of money for surgery costs and will take her to her normal vet for less costly treatment

Sir Purr came into our lives 2 years ago - we rescued him from the shelter and he has been apart of our family ever since. He currently is an inside cat with lots of personality. On Saturday sep 19, I came home from work and noticed he could not walk on his hind legs. After 4 vet visits we found out he has a disclocated hip. Since we could not afford the vet bill, instead of a simple fix he will need surgery now within the next 3 days. Our vet that we have chosen to go to is Complete Pet Care in Raleigh NC. Any and all help with be used strictly for his procedure. The theories about orange cats are true! He is a crazy little dude who loves his dog brother and sister as well as his human sister. He is super sweet and makes every human he meets fall in love! Unfortunately this of course was not planned and nothing something I would think to ever happen. As to how this happened - we still aren’t sure. I just recently lost my car and had to use all of my savings to get a new one so I can’t do anything right now to help him.

Bella is a cherished member of her family and community. The beautiful yellow Labrador is an emotional support dog to her human mom, Angela M., and her community. "She serves everyone from small children to the elderly with terminal ailments," Angela tells Waggle. "From physical to emotional needs, Bella is there to sense who needs her. She never fails to put a smile on their face either with kisses or a toy." But Angela and those who rely on Bella were devastated when she had breathing problems and soon after needed emergency surgery because her stomach flipped. On top of that, she developed post-op pneumonia and is hospitalized in the ICU. Angela is distraught, trying to visit Bella in the hospital while struggling to pay her enormous medical bill. "I work seven days, two jobs, and 60 hours a week," Angela says. "One job is a small business and the other as a babysitter. My savings are gone. Payment is due at discharge, and all three of her issues have been life or death. Please help any way that you can."

Harper is a 10-year-old female Corgi who has been the absolute center of my world for the last decade. Weighing around 37 pounds, she is a sturdy, happy-go-lucky girl who currently lives with my family and I. Despite being a senior dog, she still has a lots of life & spark left in her! Our world was turned upside down recently when Harper suddenly began showing signs of severe pain and discomfort. We rushed her to Rainbow Vet in Darlington, PA. We found out that Harper has a mass on her spleen. This splenic mass is causing her ongoing distress and carries a high risk of rupture and is possibly cancerous, making immediate medical intervention a matter of life and death. Harper is so much more than a family pet, she is my ultimate soul dog. I took her to college with me, and she has faithfully stood by my side through almost every major stage and milestone of my adult life. She was my rock and my comfort through the devastating heartbreak of my dad passing away, she anchored me through college and the chaotic post-college transition. This medical emergency hit us completely out of nowhere, leaving us blindsided both emotionally and financially. Right now, I am doing everything I can to balance the demands of day-to-day life while desperately trying to provide the absolute best care for Harper.

Chico

Chico is a 16-year-old Bluenose Pitbull Lab Mix in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

Chico was our first family dog. We rescued him from the home he was living in over 13 years ago. He was clearly abused and fearful when he came into our home. He cowered his head, walked away and did not engage. Over time, he learned to trust us and allowed us to pet him and he gained confidence in approaching us. My brother even trained him on basic commands (sit, speak, down, roll over, paw). When I moved out, I took Chico with me. I was the one who fed, walked, bathed and played with him. I made sure he was up to date on vaccines and purchased his food and supplies. Chico loves people of all ages. He will approach people and say hi or wait for them to acknowledge him. Chico is docile. He sleeps a lot which is normal for his age. Chico loves car rides and going for walks. Chico became my ESA and has been my saving grace in treating my ptsd and depression. Chico has accompanied me to many museums and miles and miles of hiking trails. When no one else was there for me, CHICO was there. Chico helped me overcome the grief from the passing of my late boyfriend. Most recently, Chico protected me from an abusive ex boyfriend. Chico is everything to me. Chico is a senior dog. As he ages, his energy and health is declining. He was recently diagnosed with vestibular disease. A tumor was discovered on his spleen that needs to be removed surgically. If the tumor ruptures, he will be in physical pain and will bleed internally. This is a sudden and costly procedure. Please help us. I wish Chico could live with me forever. He is my furbaby and best friend. I work as a server and I work very hard to keep a roof over our heads. This surgery would put me in debt.

We rescued Apollo when he was only 7 weeks old. He’s a small chihuahua. He’s white with brown spots on his ears and the left side of his body. He’s a very loving dog and has a brother captain. We’ve had him for 2 years and has been a great addition to our home. Both dogs are two years old and practically attached to the hip. It’s been very hard for both of them being separated. Apollo is a very calm dog but does get excited whenever we get home. He loves catching tennis balls and frisbees. He loves running around with his brother and taking naps on our couch. He loves sunbathing in the front yard in the grass and he loves laying down and napping with the house cat. He’s very protective of his owners and has a very strong will. Apollo love cuddling and sleeping on on your stomach. He’ll jump and spin when you give him a treat and high fives. He always perks up when he hears the word treat and play or outside. He loves running around and just being outside. Every time he goes out side he’ll always look back to make sure I’m there. Apollo was attacked by three large dogs Saturday March 11,2023 and has a fractured pelvis and will need surgery within a the week. We took Apollo to our local vet and they didn’t have the equipment to determine the extent of his injuries. He was taken to the emergency pet hospital. From there we were recommended to a vet hospital where they have veterinary surgeons My family has suddenly received a lot of debt and we are going through a financial hardship and unfortunately cannot afford the entire bill for this surgery. It would mean so much to us to be able to receive some help in getting our dog better as back to his happy self

We rescued Bixby in August 2020. He spent over a year in a South Carolina shelter, surviving only because he was a "staff favorite." He came to us with heartworms & carrying the scars of a tough past—he’s still scared of hoses and can’t stand being in a kennel. Despite everything he’s been through, Bixby’s heart is pure gold. He truly believes that every human and dog he meets is his best friend, Bixby has spent his life navigating a "floating kneecap" (luxating patella). Unfortunately, the strain has finally taken its toll. He has now suffered torn CCLs in both of his hind legs. For a dog who just wants to run up and greet the world, being unable to walk comfortably is heartbreaking. Bixby is truly a huge part of our family. Prior to getting Bixby, our son was uncomfortable around dogs due to his previous experiences. Because of Bixby's unconditional love and "snuggle bug" nature, our son loves Bixby and no longer has issues being with other dogs. We are a single income household. We currently have two vehicles that are over 16 years old and we keep nursing along. This unexpected situation with Bixby is creating even more financial stress and we truly don't know what to do.

I rescued Sir Anthony from a improper breeder, at only 4 weeks old. When I got him he had numerous problems including infections in his eyes and tummy, and had to be bottle fed. Other than those issues, he has been a healthy chunk boy. He is a completely indoor cat, and has a brother KitKat, and a sister Maci. The brief overview of Sir Anthony's situation is that he is currently hospitalized at MedVet Mandeville, and is in need of a biopsy and a blood transfusion. This all started two weeks ago with a urinary blockage which had him in critical care. Between 3 different vets, 15 total days hospitalized, a feeding tube, and countless bloodwork ultrasounds ivs and X-rays we now only have one route to take. While he loves his brother KitKat and sister Maci, he is the stereotypical middle child. Sir Anthony likes to start every morning by pawing my face for my attention. Sir Anthony is a very talkative baby, who knows exactly what he wants. He has an undeniable hatred for closed doors, and an obsession with freshly worn shoes. He loves to bully his sister, and cuddle his brother. I'm a college student, who works full time. I thought my baby would be protected by my emergency fund and CareCredit. I was mistaken as the fund is fully depleted, and the CareCredit is maxed. Im out of resources and in desperate need for a life line for me and my baby <3

This sweet orange cat is one of numerous stray cats recently trapped and removed from government housing in Crystal City, Texas. Of all the cats rescued, he was the most critically injured. He had been used for target practice and suffered a devastating wound to the top of his head. Bear Den Sanctuary immediately stepped in to get him the veterinary care he urgently needed. Bear Den Sanctuary is dedicated to ending the suffering and overpopulation of homeless and feral cats by providing permanent sanctuary, veterinary care, spay and neuter services, and compassionate support to cats with nowhere else to turn. For cats like this one, that mission means the difference between continued suffering and the chance to heal.
