Mona was a gift for my kids from their dad, Mona has a biological sister named Luna and brothers names Rocky and Toby that are not biological. My husband new her name before we even brought her home, which makes her unique because when we picked up her sister Luna first, he had one look at her and named her before she was even ours. Mona came into our home April 18, 2018. Mona came into our lives 2 years ago, we first got her sister who’s name is Luna. We felt that once we brought Luna home she was lonely, so a few days later we went and got her sister Mona. Mona was a gift to my kids from their dad. She brightens up everyone’s mood day to day. She’s playful and loving and very well loved by my husband, 5 Children and myself. She loves to sleep with our kids. This is a sudden unexpected major expense that we cannot afford my husband is the only one working I myself am a stay at home mom, we five kids that will greatly be heartbroken if we had to make an alternate decision due to this major expense & would mean a lot to have her I’m looking for help because Mona developed a pancreatic infection which has caused her not to be able to eat or drink she is currently at the Veterinary Emergency and specialty Hospital of Wichita Kansas. She got admitted on January 28, 2021 and is still in there. I spoke with the doctor this morning and apparently she’s having trouble urinating and could possibly have cancer in her bladder. Even though Mona was a gift for the kids I am her favorite person. She makes me happy when she greets me every time I come home, she’s playful with the kids and loves to play in the snow, and is not a big fan of rain. She can sense when somebody is sad and she’ll just give that person all her love and kisses until she puts a smile on their face!

I adopted Honey into our family in February of 2018. She has a birthday coming up on November 28th she’ll be 3 years old. She has 5 human siblings. Honey is my 6th baby in our household. My youngest playing with her sometimes all I can think is “just a boy and his dog” She's such a sweet girl and loves us and attention. Honey loves to play with the kids and sit with me. She helps us in the yard while we do yard work and she’s always guarding the perimeter when we’re outside. She lets strangers know they better stay away LoL. She greets visitors she knows expecting lots of petting and loving when they enter. She likes to take toys and treats into what I call her Honey Holes. She’s just part of the family! We’re in a pandemic and I lost my job when we were sheltered in place. I’m a single mom now. A couple of the kids have moved out. I am medically fragile as I'm a thyroid cancer survivor and recently had neck, back and hand surgery. Christmas is around the corner, birthdays too. Honey did something she’s never done before and decided to chew the cord on my moms electric blanket and burned her mouth and tongue severely. We moved a year and a half ago and I’m still looking for local doctors for the whole family and in the meantime have been driving an hour or more to our regular doctors. We were blessed to be referred to Barnesville Animal Clinic and they have saved Honey! I love watching Honey run through the field in front of the house. Her long legs and the way she runs and jumps and leaps; she just looks like a mini deer. She scratches your hand when she sits next to you and wants more petting. She’s the sweetest loving little girl. She’s definitely one of my kids.

Patsy has been in our life since she was born. Her mother was our beloved dog and put her in my hands moments after she was born. She has been a vital part of our family since that precious moment. She grew with our children and is extremely sweet, loving and protective. Watching her learn and grow with our children makes her so very special to us. Patsys always happy to see all of us. She spends her day playing and being loved on. She provides emotional support when any of us are not feeling well or feeling sad. She has helped us through deep loss such as the loss of my mother last year and my father 3 years prior. She is such an important part of our family we can’t imagine life without her in it! Sadly we have no emergency fund it was wiped out with her diagnosis. We currently make enough to pay major bills and provide food for the household. It would mean the world to us for our precious baby to be back to her healthy happy self. Patsy is suffering from a dislocated hip. Her right hip is completely displaced. VCA Becker Animal Hospital’s Dr. Daniel Arrington’s diagnosis is that she will need surgery. They will need to administer anesthesia and she will need a sling after surgery. Her prognosis is a full recovery after surgery. When Patsy is happy and wants extra pets or cuddles she lays on her back and does what we call praying hands. She puts her paws together and waves them at us while giving us her precious doggie smile. When she is getting a special treat she will dance on her back feet in circles without being commanded.

Bear is a 11-year-old male dog. He was given to me by my mom when he was just a few months old I fell in love with him right away. It was truly love at first sight he was my first baby. 3 years later meet his human brother Later he would welcome in 2 sister cats that he just loves!!😁 Bear is really the only dog I’ve ever owned he is the best dog I could ever imagine having. He is amazing dog!!❤️ Bear is like any other dogs but sometimes I think he’s a human. lol😁 He loves to chase birds and other animals. He love to think he i is the cats boss😂. He loves to go on walks even if it’s just check in the mail! bugs are his favorite thing all you have to say is “get the bug” he’s on top of it. Until this year!😔 something happened I thought he was having problems with anal glands. I took him into signal Butte animal Hospital& Grooming. She thinks that they are a mess that could be cancer. He was doing good. Then one of them open and now both are open. They bleed and look very painful! They do not look good! He needs medical treatment. I’m worried about him. Bear is a loving dog he just always been there with me right by my side like a shadow. He is my very best friend! He love running after the cats we call him paw patrol😁 He thinks he the cop in the house. I think my most favorite thing about bear is how excited he gets for Christmas when opening presents! He can make whole family smile! He is love very much. It’s hard not to love bear.❤️❤️

It's with heavy hearts we inform you that yesterday morning, Hartje and Ivan's beloved dogs, Tiger and Betty were both badly injured in an accident. Both dogs injuries were extremely severe and unfortunately Betty passed at the scene. Tiger is currently in critical condition and will need multiple surgeries in the next few hours and days. Time is crucial here. Tiger is a pup who adores everyone and everything. He is only 2 years old and we all thought he would get the chance to live a long, beautiful life.Tiger has the kindest soul you'll ever know. Everyone she meets is a friend and her favorite thing to do is play fetch and give you a few "I love you" licks We are going to do our best to raise some money so that our friends can have more time with Tiger, who they love more than anything.We are ALL as a society going through a lot right now and funds for everyone are very tight. Tiger has so many more balls to catch and runs to take and I know if we can give her the care she needs, she'll be strong enough to get better. Right now, we're waiting for an MRI to see what Tiger 's recovery is going to look like and I will update here with as much info as we know along the way. We brought our Tiger home on August 28th and are so heartbroken at his current condition. He is the center of our world and we are continuing this fight to keep him with us. While we wish we could be by his side, we are trusting his doctors to love him like their own, and to do whatever it takes to send this brave boy back home to us. He is currently being treated.

Lovey was adopted 3 years ago from The Simon Foundation. At that time I had just put my dog Baby down at the age of 12 from a bone tumor and I I had received a email with Lovey in it from pet finder and instantly fell in love. So me my wife and 4 kids went to meet her and we all instantly feel in love with her. Her name is Lovey and it fits her well she is the most loyal loving dog. Lovey is a pitbull and is a amazing advocate for the breed she is so loving and doesn't have a ounce of aggression what so ever. We recently just adopted another pit mix puppy and she has been a amazing big sister to Bentley. I have never met a dog a smart and loyal as Lovey every night we go for our walk in the neighborhood with no leash and she stays by my side I feel she is more human then dog I recently was laid off due to covid-19 and had just recently gotten a house and a car thankfully I am able to get unemployment and my wife can continue to work but we are a large family of 6 and just squeezing by right now and then this happened with our precious Lovey So recently we found a lump on Loveys chest and since my dog prior died from a bone tumor we made a vet appointment the vet sent out the aspiration and called me back on September 21 to let me know it was a MCT tumor I instantly broke down in tears why is this happening to another one of my dogs. Fortunately the vet is optimistic that it's a low grade tumor and once removed she will be ok Lovey is my heart she knows when your upset and comforts us. She is not just a dog but a fury daughter and fury sister to her 3 human brothers 8,10 and 12 and her human sister 16.She makes our daily life better in every way she loves to play fetch go for walks. Her favorite thing to do is go for car rides with me if she sits in front and my hand is on shifter she will nudge my hand to pet her.

Buster’s story began with a desperate plea for help from the streets of Houston. This sweet boy was living as a stray when people in his neighborhood reportedly began encouraging their dogs to attack him. Even children were seen hitting him with sticks. By the time a kind neighbor stepped in to protect him, Buster was battered and hurting, with a deep wound above his eye, a swollen neck, and painful injuries and spray paint covering his body. Thankfully, that neighbor refused to look away. They got Buster somewhere safe and began desperately reaching out for someone who could help him. That plea eventually reached Sunnyside Street Dogs, and Buster’s life changed forever. Despite everything humans had put him through, Buster remained incredibly sweet and loving. Once he realized he was finally safe, his gentle personality began to shine through. Sunnyside Street Dogs made sure he received the veterinary care, vaccinations, and support he desperately needed while his wounds—and his heart—were given time to heal. Rescuing dogs from abuse like Buster comes at a cost. My name is Sarah and I’m asking for help for a sweet rescue dog named Maples who I’ve been caring for over the past two months. When I first took Maples in, she was already very sick and in rough shape. I spent a lot of time caring for her, nursing her back to health, and helping her get stronger. Thankfully, she started doing much better, and I really thought we were finally past the hardest part. Unfortunately, something unexpected developed later on. She is the sweetest dog. She like to wipe down my tears when Im crying. I live by myself here in the US. She is the only family that I have. She is the reason why I learned to smile again. I cannot imagine my life without here. Recent X-rays showed that Maples has an enlarged heart and a blockage on the right side. She also has a significant amount of fluid building up in her abdomen. Her veterinarian explained that they can’t safely drain the fluid until they know exactly what is causing it. She now needs an abdominal ultrasound, additional bloodwork and lab testing, and an evaluation by a veterinary cardiologist she needs a echo ultrasounds for her heart. She is currently goes to Alief Animal Clinic, Medvet Houston. The bond with my pet is meaningful because she is more than just a pet. She is part of my life. She gave me unconditional love, comfort and companionship, and she bring happiness into my life everyday. Her recovery matters to me because I want her to feel healthy, safe, and loved again. I would do everything I can to help her recover because she depend on me, and her well being is an important part of my own happiness. I’m asking for help because I don’t want money to be the reason Maples doesn’t get another chance. She is such a sweet dog, and I truly believe she deserves the opportunity to get the answers she needs and receive the treatment that could help her. I have all of Maples’ veterinary records, X-rays, and recommended treatment information available. If needed, I can also provide her veterinarian’s contact information so her condition and treatment plan can be verified. Any amount of help would mean so much to me and Maples. Annie Stayed Until the End. Now It’s Our Turn to Stay With Her

When Animal Control was called to a rural Kentucky home, they found Annie alone with her owner, who had passed away. We may never know how long this senior girl had been alone, how long she had gone without enough food, or how long her body had been struggling. But one thing is certain: Annie stayed. She remained by the person she loved until there was no one left to care for her. Now, One By One Animal Rescue is staying with Annie. When she arrived at the Carter County Animal Shelter, Annie was severely emaciated and in heartbreaking condition. Most of her fur was gone, her skin was thick, raw, inflamed and painful, and she was covered in fleas and ticks. Her nails were severely overgrown, and her fragile body showed just how long she had gone without proper care. When we saw Annie's condition, we rushed her to the emergency hospital, where veterinarians discovered that she is anemic and Lyme positive. She is receiving IV fluids, supplements, antibiotics for her painful skin and Lyme disease, and constant monitoring to determine whether she will need a blood transfusion. Because Annie has been so severely malnourished, even feeding her requires extreme caution. Her veterinarians have carefully calculated her nutritional needs, and she is being given tiny amounts of food every two hours to prevent potentially fatal refeeding syndrome. Her little body must be nourished slowly and carefully as she begins rebuilding the strength she has lost. Her skin has also been incredibly painful. Annie was so inflamed and uncomfortable that she was biting at herself and crying out. Her vet team approved a Cytopoint injection to help give her some much-needed relief. For now, Annie will remain hospitalized under close observation. Her veterinary team is continuing fluids, medications, nutritional support and frequent bloodwork while watching her anemia and overall condition. We don't know what the coming days will bring. We don't know how long Annie's recovery will take or what additional treatment she may need. But we do know this: Annie has been alone long enough. She will not be alone anymore. After giving her loyalty to her person until the very end, Annie now has people fighting for her. She deserves the chance to know what it feels like to be comfortable, nourished, cared for and loved.
