Vida
Vida has suffered unimaginable neglect. Please be her hero.
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
When Vida was found, she was barely hanging on. She was severely emaciated, covered in ticks, dangerously anemic, and suffering from unimaginable injuries. Half of her ear and part of her neck were missing, and maggots have infested multiple wounds throughout her body. No animal should ever have to endure this kind of pain and neglect. Thanks to Compassion Kind, Vida is receiving emergency veterinary care, where doctors are working to treat her wounds, stabilize her condition, and give her the chance to heal. The road ahead will be long, and her medical care will be extensive, but this rescue refuses to give up on her. Vida deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and free from pain. We're asking for your help to cover the cost of her emergency treatment, medications, and ongoing care. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help give Vida the second chance she so desperately deserves. Together, we can show Vida that her life matters.

St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
Baby's story is heartbreaking, but Compassion Kind Foundation is determined to give him the chance he deserves. Lilly
Lilly will need her leg amputated. Please show her love and care.
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
Meet Lilly. This sweet girl was found in Jamaica by a compassionate Good Samaritan who couldn't ignore an unthinkable sight. Lilly was lying outside, severely injured, with part of her leg completely torn off and lying beside her. It's hard to imagine the pain and fear she must have endured. Thanks to the person who stopped to help, Lilly is now at an emergency veterinary hospital receiving the care she desperately needs. Her injuries are so severe that amputation is her only option. While we are grateful she is finally safe and out of harm's way, the cost of emergency treatment and surgery is significant. Despite everything she has been through, Lilly is still here. Still fighting. Still deserving of a chance to heal and experience the love and comfort every dog should know. We are asking for donations to help cover Lilly's emergency veterinary care and amputation surgery. Every dollar will go directly toward giving her the medical treatment she needs and the opportunity to begin a new life free from pain. Your support, whether through a donation or a share, could make all the difference for this brave girl. Thank you for helping us give Lilly the second chance she deserves. 7/11/26 Update Lily has been released from the hospital and is continuing her recovery. While she still faces a major amputation surgery in the coming weeks, she is finally strong enough to take the next step toward a pain-free future.

Aura
Please help Aura fight her skin infection.
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
For more than a week, Aura wandered the streets of Jamaica alone. Terrified of people and desperately trying to survive, this sweet stray was so fearful that no one could get close enough to help her. Day after day, she remained just out of reach, suffering in silence as her skin condition worsened. Finally, after being spotted for over a week, she wandered into an outdoor storage cabinet. It was the break everyone had been hoping for. Rescuers acted quickly and safely transferred her into a crate, ending her days of running and hiding. Now she is finally safe. As we begin the process of triaging her medical needs, we already know she is suffering from severe demodectic mange. Her skin is inflamed, painful, and in desperate need of treatment. We don't have all the answers yet, and we don't have invoices in hand, but we know her road to recovery will require extensive veterinary care, medications, diagnostics, and ongoing support. For the first time in a long time, she doesn't have to worry about where she'll sleep or whether she'll survive another day. Now it's our turn to help her heal. We are asking for donations to help cover her upcoming medical expenses. Every contribution will go toward giving this frightened girl the treatment, comfort, and second chance she so desperately deserves. Thank you for helping us show her that people can be kind.

St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation

Angelina
A Brain Injury Left Little Angelina With Severe Seizures—Help Impact Her Future ❤️
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
3 year old Angelina is a very special little girl. After suffering a brain injury as a puppy, she has continued to navigate the world in her own way. She has been taking medications for years now, which helps with the seizures but does not fully prevent them. Our vet team at Compassion Kind has been working extensively with Angelina and now recommend she get advanced neurological care and an MRI to help understand her seizures and the best path forward. This care is essential to giving her the best quality of life, care, and comfort. Her current estimate for diagnostics is already up to $5500. Angelina, known as Beanie to her close friends, is the sweetest pup once she opens up to you. She has her gentle moments and loves to cozy up to you, and also gets quick bursts of zoomies. Her foster family has learned her quirks and knows she will need a calm and predictable environment. She is dog and kid approved and can live with another dog or two, but her ideal home is a quieter one where someone is around often and she can be the center of her person’s world. She needs a family committed to continuing her daily seizure medication, keeping her routine consistent, and loving her for the beautifully unique girl she is. Right now we are asking our community to help us get Beanie the neurological care she urgently needs while we continue searching for her perfect forever home. Every donation brings us one step closer to answers and better care for this very special bean. 8/6/26 Update Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Angelina this far on her healing journey. Even though she still has a way to go. She is slowly improving and is surrounded by lots of love and care. Because you helped Compassion Kind cover Angelina's bills this far, she is now able to move forward with getting an MRI, which she really needs. Thank you!

Zuzu
Zuzu is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in St Petersburg, FL, who needs $2,000 for treatment.
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
When tiny Zuzu arrived at the Kern County Shelter in LA, she was only six weeks old—just a baby—yet already facing more challenges than most dogs ever will. Her little legs were deformed, making it hard for her to stand, let alone play the way puppies should. Because of her condition, she was heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list. But Zuzu’s story didn’t end there. Just in time, she was pulled from the shelter and brought into safety. Today, she wears casts to help realign her legs and will soon graduate to braces—but this process is long, delicate, and costly. Zuzu meets it with a wagging tail and a sweetness that lights up the room. She is incredibly social, affectionate, and full of love, but her resilience doesn’t erase how vulnerable she still is. To keep her moving toward a healthy future, Zuzu needs ongoing veterinary care—regular checkups, x-rays, and the high-quality, high-protein food her growing body needs to get stronger. Her deformities may be part of her story, but with the right support, they don’t have to define her future. We don’t know how Zuzu ended up in the shelter, but we do know she deserves every chance at a full, happy life. If her story touches your heart, please consider donating. Every contribution helps her take the next step—literally—toward the life she was meant to have.

Poppy
Poppy’s Fight for a Pain-Free Future
St Petersburg, FL • Compassion Kind Foundation
Poppy’s life was almost cut short before it even had a chance to begin. At just 1.5 years old, she was brought to a shelter with severe injuries to both of her back legs, likely from being hit by a car, leaving her in pain and unable to walk properly. Tragically, she was placed on the euthanasia list, facing the end of her story before she ever got the chance to know love and safety. But fate had other plans—Compassion Kind stepped in and pulled her to safety with just one hour to spare. Once in the care of Compassion Kind, Poppy’s journey to healing began. In addition to her badly injured legs, she was also battling pneumonia, making her fight for survival even harder. Thanks to the rescue’s dedication, she received immediate treatment for the pneumonia and began a care plan for her legs. Now, she needs a major surgery to repair her legs and give her the chance to run and play again, something every young pup deserves. Despite everything she’s endured, Poppy’s spirit remains as bright as ever. She wags her tail, soaks up love, and shows us every day that she’s ready for the beautiful future ahead. Now, it’s our turn to help her. With this surgery, she’ll have the chance to live a life without pain—a life full of joy, adventure, and the love she almost never got to experience. Poppy’s second chance starts with you. Your donation will help fund the surgery she needs to walk again and live the happy, pain-free life she deserves. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to healing. Thank you for giving Poppy hope!
