Suni
Help Suni Get the Training She Needs for a Second Chance
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
When Suni, a 10-month-old Belgian Shepherd mix, first came to Operation Liberation, we knew she was special. Sadly, her original owner abandoned her, leaving her confused and in need of stability. One of our wonderful fosters stepped up to give Suni a chance—but it quickly became clear just how much help this young, energetic pup needed. Suni is a true “working breed” dog—smart, athletic, and bursting with energy. Unfortunately, her drive quickly turned into frustration when she wasn’t given the mental and physical stimulation she craved. Despite hours of running and exercise each day, Suni began screaming from boredom and even bit her foster and her foster’s tolerant dog. We knew Suni needed more than we could provide in a foster home. To give her the best shot at adoption and a happy future, Operation Liberation has enrolled her in a highly respected board-and-train program. This intensive training will teach Suni structure, self-control, and the skills she needs to thrive in a forever home. The cost is significant—$4,500 for the first 3 weeks of training—but we believe Suni deserves this chance. After her initial training, her progress will be reassessed with her trainer so we can continue setting her up for success. Review 11/28/25 We’re thrilled to share that Suni is doing incredibly well in her board-and-train program! This smart, high-energy Belgian Shepherd mix is finally getting the structure and stimulation she’s been craving, and her trainers say she’s thriving. Thanks to this program, Suni now has a much better chance of finding the right forever home—one with someone experienced with working-breed dogs who can give her the mental and physical engagement she needs. We’re so proud of her progress, but we still need help covering the cost of her training. Your support will ensure Suni finishes the program strong and steps into her new life fully prepared. Thank you for believing in her!

Strudel
Strudel is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Fort Lauderdale, FL, who needs $223 for Soft Tissue Injury.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
For at least four years, Strudel survived the harsh realities of outdoor life as part of a feral cat colony. She weathered bitter winters, fought for food, and lived with no guarantee of safety. When Operation Liberation trapped her for spay surgery, the plan was simple: spay and return. But Strudel had other plans. To everyone’s surprise, this quiet, resilient girl turned out to be friendly — not just tolerant, but affectionate. It became clear she wasn’t just surviving outside — she had been waiting for a second chance. Operation Liberation made the easy decision to bring her into foster care, where she quickly began to thrive. Recently, Strudel began to limp, and the condition worsened throughout the day. Concerned for her well-being, Operation Liberation rushed her to the emergency vet. After a thorough exam, the veterinary team diagnosed a soft tissue injury. She was sent home with pain medication and anti-inflammatories, and strict instructions for rest and monitoring. Strudel’s prognosis is good, but her care has already come at a cost and as a volunteer-run rescue, Operation Liberation relies entirely on community support to cover emergency expenses. Please consider donating to help give Strudel the future she deserves - safe and loved.

Boots
Boots is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Fort Lauderdale, FL, who needs $731 for Emergency Exam and Abscess Treatment.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
It’s been a whirlwind week for Operation Liberation, with emergency rescues coming one after another. Among the most urgent is Boots, a stray tomcat who recently appeared near the home of a longtime supporter and foster. Boots had been frequenting the area around an Operation Liberation foster's house, gradually coming closer as she began to feed him. The initial plan was to trap him for a standard TNVR (Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return). But once he was safely trapped, it became immediately clear that something was seriously wrong—Boots had a large, painful abscess on his face, swollen and visibly infected. Despite the discomfort, Boots showed surprising signs of friendliness. He allowed gentle pets, lingered close to the foster, and sought out her presence. His body carried the scars of street life, but his eyes held a softness that couldn’t be ignored. This wasn’t just a feral cat in need of medical help—this was a cat quietly asking for a chance. Operation Liberation made the decision to step in and give Boots that chance. He is now receiving veterinary care to treat the abscess, along with antibiotics, pain relief, and supportive care. Please consider donating to help Boots receive the care he needs. Update 7/30/25 Boots has healed amazingly! He has put on weight and filled out and you cannot even tell that he had such a big wound on his face.

Madeline
Her Human Is Gone. Her Mouth Is in Pain. But Madeline's Heart Still Hopes.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Meet Madeline — a gentle, soulful senior cat whose golden years took a heartbreaking turn. After her beloved human passed away, Madeline was left alone in the world. Confused and grieving, she found herself without the home and comfort she once knew. That’s when Operation Liberation stepped in — to make sure her story didn’t end in sadness. Operation Liberation recently took Madeline to the vet for what they hoped would be a routine senior check-up and dental exam, but what they discovered broke their hearts. She was suffering from such severe dental disease that she needed a full mouth extraction — every single tooth had to be removed to relieve the constant pain she had likely been enduring in silence. They're also waiting on the results of her senior panel to check for any age-related health concerns. On top of that, Madeline has started having trouble using the litter box, which may point to a urinary issue. Unfortunately, she was so scared during her vet visit that she urinated in her carrier, so the vet team wasn’t able to collect a sample for testing that day. She may have lost her home, but she hasn’t lost her spark. Madeline still seeks out a gentle hand, a warm place to rest, and someone to love her — and we believe she deserves all of that and more. Please give what you can to help Madeline find peace in her senior years.

Sparrow and Robin
Help Sparrow & Robin Soar to a Bright Future: Support Their Journey to Healing and Happiness
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Operation Liberation received a heart-wrenching request from one of their vet contacts who reached out to them for urgent help. Two sweet, friendly kittens, just under two months old, were brought into the clinic by a client who wanted to euthanize them. The reason? Each kitten had an eye on the brink of rupturing, likely due to untreated infections. This could have been their end, but Operation Liberation couldn’t stand by and let it happen. These precious babies deserve so much more. They immediately stepped in to offer them a chance—a chance for healing, happiness, and a full life ahead. Despite their current condition, these kittens have the kindest souls and are full of life. They’ll each need one eye removed (a procedure called enucleation), we’re confident they will thrive. Kittens recover quickly from this surgery, and after a little time to heal, they’ll be ready for a bright future. At the same time, they will be spayed, ensuring their health and preventing future struggles. Every donation helps us move one step closer to giving them a happy life full of love, adventure, and endless cuddles. Your kindness will give Sparrow and Robin the opportunity to live the life they’ve always deserved. Update 3/20/25: Both of these sweet kittens recently underwent their surgeries to remove one eye and to be spayed. We’re thrilled to report that the surgeries went smoothly, and their recoveries are progressing beautifully! Despite the challenges they’ve faced, Sparrow and Robin have shown nothing but courage and resilience, and they’re doing so well in their healing journey. But that’s not all—these precious kittens even had the chance to meet with a potential adopter! The meeting went wonderfully, and they are now eagerly waiting to see if they’ve found their forever home.

Andy
Help Solve a Medical Mystery and Save Andy's Life!
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Meet Andy, a brave domestic shorthair whose journey has been nothing short of a medical mystery. His story is one of struggle, uncertainty, and hope—and with your help, it can be a story of survival and a second chance at life. Andy’s journey began when he suddenly started struggling to breathe and foaming at the mouth. Desperate for answers, the local shelter rushed him to the veterinary clinic. Despite extensive diagnostics—x-rays, bloodwork, and an ultrasound—no one could determine what was wrong. All they knew for sure was that Andy was in serious distress, and his condition was rapidly declining. Unable to afford the continued care Andy needed, the shelter made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. But Operation Liberation couldn't let this sweet cat give up without a fight. They took Andy to an internal medicine specialist, who believes the key to solving this medical mystery lies in a CT scan. Andy is stable for now, but the road ahead is still incredibly challenging. His foster mom has to extract air from his stomach every 6 hours to keep him comfortable. This scan—scheduled for the coming days—could finally give answers needed to save Andy. With your generous donation, you can help Operation Liberation provide the life-saving diagnostics and treatment Andy needs. We need your support to give him the chance to live the healthy, happy life he deserves.

Ollie
Ollie is a two-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Fort Lauderdale, FL, who needs $2,000 for urgent care.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
When Operation Liberation first saved Ollie, they were shocked how he survived with his long list of ailments. Ollie struggled to eat because he had a cleft palate. He has an ulcerated eye that has not cleared up despite trying multiple medications. It may need to be removed. Ollie also suffered from a mycoplasma infection, which caused upper respiratory problems for weeks. He has gingivitis and may need surgery to remove some teeth. "Despite everything he has been through, Ollie is the sweetest cat who loves attention, cuddles, and pets," Amanda G., with the rescue, tells Waggle. Operation Liberation takes on special animals who need extensive medical treatment. Please help Ollie receive the care he requires.

Rebecca
Rebecca is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Fort Lauderdale , FL, who needs $1,000 for Eyelid Surgery and Heartworm Diagnostics.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Rebecca came to Operation Liberation from the Bahamas to receive the extra care she desperately needs. Rebecca has eyelid agenesis which is a congenital condition where her eyelids did not fully form. This condition means Rebecca's eyes are lacking the protection eyelids provide and she is vulnerable to chronic irritation, corneal ulcers, squinting, and can even impair vision. Operation Liberation knew they had to step in and make sure Rebecca receives the necessary surgery to build eyelids for both eyes. Rebecca also tested positive for heartworm, a rarity in cats. Cats are atypical hosts for heartworm and most worms do not survive to the adult stage. Unfortunately, there is no approved drug therapy for heartworm infection in cats. While most cats are able to clear the heartworms, they may incur permanent damage. Rebecca will need numerous x-rays to track the progression of the heartworms. Operation Liberation takes in cases like Rebecca that require extra care and attention; they are determined to give every animal a chance at a pain-free, happy life. Please consider donating and helping Rebecca on her healing journey!

Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation

Operation Liberation committed to bringing Roxie to Florida to make sure she receives the specialized care she needs. Roxie is scheduled to see a neurologist to run diagnostics including bloodwork and x-rays to determine if this condition can be treated. Despite spending years in a shelter and suffering from this condition, Roxie is extremely loving. She loves receiving pets and meeting new people. She even gets along with her foster dog siblings! Operation Liberation is excited to provide Roxie the chance to live a healthy, happy life full of love. Receiving specialized care is her first step in her journey of healing. Operation Liberation is not deterred by the extra time and money Roxie's care will require. They saw a cat in need and didn't hesitate to take her in. Please consider donating to help them provide Roxie's treatment!

Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is a 2-month-old Mix in Fort Lauderdale , FL, who needs $1,000 for Physical Therapy.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Forrest Gump was found alone next to a canal unable to walk due to severe swimmer's syndrome - an uncommon deformity where limbs, primarily hind limbs, are splayed to their sides. This condition primarily affects newborn puppies and keeps them from standing or walking properly. Operation Liberation rescued the scared puppy knowing he would require much care and attention. Forrest Gump is currently going to physical therapy multiple times a week. After just a few weeks, he is already able to move around much better. Despite this improvement, he will need to continue physical therapy for the foreseeable future to strengthen his legs. Despite his difficulties, Forrest Gump is a happy-go-lucky puppy that loves everyone and everything. He doesn't let his condition slow him down and is enjoying making friends with his fur foster siblings. Please consider donating to her campaign to help her open her eyes and experience her new life full of care and love.

August, September, and Novi
August, September, and Novi is a 3-month-old DSH in Fort Lauderdale , FL, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation.
Fort Lauderdale, FL • Operation Liberation
Someone posted on Facebook asking for help for a case of a family of black cats at a warehouse and the kittens were all blind. We spayed the mom who was not social with people and we brought the kittens into our rescue. They are currently in foster care with our President. These girls are so playful! They are constantly pouncing on each other and exploring every inch around them. They are unphased at being blind and navigate the world with ease. They are in love with our resident dog Charlie and love to play with his tail. She dotes on the babies and it is very sweet. These girls had a very difficult start in life and have overcome so much. Their odds of survival, being born in a warehouse with no humans to provide vet care was already pretty bleak. Being blind on top of that was another challenge. And unfortunately black cats and kittens are still often overlooked by adopters and also by rescues due to the low interest by adopters. These babies have all seen an eye specialist, Dr. Diaz, at Animal Eye Guys. They all have very underdeveloped small pseudo eyes and none of them have any vision. The specialist assures that this surgery to remove these pseudo eyeballs will bring them much comfort and will be overall safer for them in the long-term. We are a non-profit and all of our funds come from donations. Taking in three kittens that all need both eyes removed was not something that we had planned for, but we could not say no to these girls.
