Floyd

"He was found as a stray and ended up at a very caring shelter who contacted our rescue for help," Lynne A., with the group, tells Waggle. "Floyd was either attacked by animals or beaten with something like a shovel. He is covered in wounds. He's been abused; his body and legs were bleeding from bullets. He is very thin under his fluffy fur. He's had the worst life I could imagine." His eyes and general condition tell his sad story. Floyd had a fever and a significant infection from his wounds. A bath was impossible due to his many skin lesions; he needs extensive medical care but is expected to eventually heal with all the TLC he's getting at the Animal Medical Center of Gahanna. Although the rescue does not know his past, the severe weight loss, gunshot wounds, bites, and skin infections suggest he was on his own, trying to defend himself for months. Despite everything, he still loves people and craves being near them. "He is so forgiving. You think he'd be afraid of people. He only wants love. He will sit on your lap," Lynne adds. The rescue takes in numerous sick and injured pets. Floyd's recovery, both physically and emotionally, will be long. The rescue depends on donations to survive and hopes you will contribute to help Floyd live happily ever after. "Thank you," Lynne says. "Everything that's done for him is going to change his life!"
Murphy
Murphy is a ten-year-old German Shepherd mix in Flintstone, GA, who needs $800 for urgent surgery.

Chloe F. has a heart of gold and she needs your help! She rescued Murphy, a blind senior dog, from a local animal shelter. Immediately after she adopted Murphy, she brought him to her veterinarian at Animal Clinic Inc. of Chattanooga, who discovered the poor dog had a malignant tumor. "We need to remove whatever this malignant growth is," Chloe, tells Waggle. "The shelter won't provide any help because once the dog is home, he's no longer their responsibility. Murphy is our responsibility, our companion, friend, and sweet boy. We want him around as long as possible." Chloe was not expecting a big surgery bill days after adopting Murphy. "I am a full-time student and part-time web content editor. My fiancée does stone engraving," she says. "The cost was much more than we were prepared for. We love Murphy, and he is truly our family. Any help is appreciated." Chloe says Murphy fits in so well at their home, and they love him so much already. "As far as we know, Murphy has always has been blind," she says. "His blindness doesn't slow him down. We say, 'Bonk' a lot in this household because that's what Murph does. He bonks into stuff but never feels sorry for himself. He's not a fast-paced dog, so he doesn't injure himself when he bonks, but when he's searching for pets and bonks into us, it's the sweetest thing!" Please help Murphy get his tumor removed and finally live happily ever after with his new human family, who adores him!
Bella
Bella is a Golden Retriever puppy in CT, who needs $2,000 for emergency care after being hit by a vehicle.

At 11:36 am on October 20th, everything changed for Luis P. and his family. That is the exact moment their puppy, Bella, was tragically hit by a car. They carefully picked her up and sped straight to the vet. "She is seriously injured right now," Luis tells Waggle. "She is in the hospital and currently being monitored. She has internal bleeding and may need a blood transfusion. She needs help." Even more tragic, Luis can't afford the amount of round-the-clock medical care Bella needs. It's been heartbreaking for his family, and they are so worried about Bella. "I am a father with two daughters, a wife, and three dogs. I take care of everyone alone, and I don't have sufficient money to pay the bill. I just need the help as much as possible," Luis says. Bella means so much to her family, and they miss her dearly. "She has a loving home with two young girls that miss their puppy," Luis adds. "They love to walk Bella outside and love to dress her up. She loves attention. She especially likes to cuddle and get her stomach rubbed." Bella even likes to watch TV. Please help Luis and his family get Bella home and something to celebrate this holiday season!
Nick Fury
Nick Fury is a five-month-old Lab mix puppy in Athens, TN, who needs $649 for urgent surgery.

When puppy Nick Fury was put up for adoption, he got no interest until Lexus P. saw him. "I was told no one wanted him because of his eye and the moles on his face," Lexus tells Waggle. "All his siblings were adopted, and he was left behind." Lexus adopted him and named him after a Marvel Comics character. "Nick Fury from Marvel is a strong, brave character who has a messed up eye," Lexus says. Fury is so happy to be adopted and in his forever home. "He sleeps on my lap most of the time," Lexus says. "He gets treats from many people. We go for at least six walks a day around our little neighborhood. He and my son play as if they were siblings. I have never met a dog that loves people and other animals so much." Now the poor pup needs urgent medical attention at the Animal Clinic of Athens. "Fury needs his eye removed before it causes him harm. On top of that, he has seizures and needs testing to find out what is causing them so he can get his treatment," Lexus adds. With all the struggles this pup has faced, his namesake could be another character: Underdog. And Lexus wants to help this underdog get the medical care he desperately needs. "I lost my job a few months ago and also have two children," Lexus says. "It will literally mean the world to my kids and me to help him be his best self."
Sir Cuddles
Sir Cuddles is a five-month-old Bohemian Shepherd puppy in Prescott, AZ, who needs $1,200 for emergency surgery.

Sometimes your life changes when you least expect it! That's what happened to Bonnie P. She was in a Walmart parking lot recently and started chatting with a couple who had a puppy. "I asked them if I could pet him, and we struck up a conversation," Bonnie tells Waggle. "I found out they were homeless, camping, and couldn't work because they couldn't leave the puppy alone at the campsite. So now I have a puppy!" Bonnie doesn't regret bringing the pup home one bit. He fit in instantly. "His name was Lakota when I got him. My daughter said we should name him Duke. My boyfriend said we should call him Cuddles cause he cuddles with us on our bed. My granddaughter called him Sir. So I decided to name him Sir Cuddles, the Duke of Lakota. I recently rescued a seven-year-old German Shepherd whom he loves to follow around." And though this puppy has a royal name, he is very similar to other puppies who like to chew on everything they should not! He now needs emergency surgery at Prescott Animal Hospital. "Sir Cuddles ate something that he shouldn't have. He has a blockage that has made him sick. He hasn't eaten or drank in four days. He just lays in the corner, and if I can get him out of the corner, he barely wags his tail. Poor baby is sick, and I'm worried about him," Bonnie says. Bonnie can't afford the operation and is pleading for generous pet lovers to give to his campaign so he can get the care he needs. "Last month, I lost my income," she says. "I haven't got the money to pay for his surgery. I'm at a loss over what to do. I was trying to make some cash last week to pay for my electricity by doing deliveries when my tire on the car had a blowout. Now I'm just devastated, and he is suffering in pain."
Cierra
Cierra is a 14-year-old Yorkie in Haines City, FL, who needs $819 for emergency surgery after being attacked.

Val T.'s life has very specific, devastating, and notable dates. There was the day her husband passed away, which turned out to be the birth date of Cierra, the puppy she ended up adopting soon after he died. Then there was the date Val was first diagnosed with breast cancer. The date she thought she kicked cancer. Then the day she found out, the cancer came back. There was the day her father passed away. And incredibly, the day she received a kidney transplant. The day she got into a car accident and had surgery. Life has been rough for Val, but Cierra has been there for her through it all. "She always kept me laughing. She patiently laid on my feet last year when a car accident broke both of my hands, and I couldn't lift her. It was like she knew," Val tells Waggle. Then, tragically, there was the day this month another dog attacked Cierra. Now the Yorkie, who has been a best friend to Val, needs your help! Cierra requires urgent surgery to close her wounds. Val can't afford the operation, and she's so worried. "I am 60-years-old, have cancer, uncontrollable diabetes, and I am disabled." The medical team at St. Charles Veterinary is ready to assist as Val tries to raise the money. Cierra means the world to Val, and she can't imagine life without her. "She and my other dog are like the old lady gang," Val says. "We are each other's companions. We wear matching outfits, especially around holidays. She is my three-year-old granddaughter's buddy and is so patient when she walks her. She is so feisty and full of life." Please help Val and Cierra be a team once again, ready to take on life's challenges together!
Iker

But now their family is preparing for a different battle: To help their beloved dog, Iker, who has been with them through every move, fight cancer. "Iker was diagnosed with cutaneous lymphoma," Nancy tells Waggle. "His chemotherapy just started at Southeast Veterinary Oncology and Internal Medicine. The good news is his cancer hasn't metastasized. The fight just started!" Nancy says they've had Iker since he was eight weeks old, and he is a member of their family. "Iker is priceless," she says. "He (and his doggie sister) have been my companions while my husband was deployed with the Navy. They have been my support, always by my side during the toughest moments. They put and smile on my face when I only wanted to cry." Iker has always been very active, always ready to work and play. He loves walking, running, hiking, swimming, as well as learning. He is very well-behaved and protective of his family. He is kind and gentle with kids and people. "At night, we can hear him walking around the house, checking all the rooms; we believe that he is watching, ensuring that we all are good," Nancy adds. Please help this military family win Iker's battle against cancer!
Jagger
Jagger is a Golden Retriever puppy in New Haven, CT, who needs $2,000 for emergency care for vomiting, diaphragmatic hernia, pneumothorax, and gastric perforation.

Jagger is our 18 week old beautiful playful puppy who we recently adopted for our family. He loves to play with his toys and he is very active. He is a happy silly young pup who loves our toddler, we could not think of having to give him up and separate them because of financial concerns. He is an important member of our family already! Jagger loves everyone he meets! He has won the hearts of every staff member at Central Veterinary Hospital in Guilford CT. Even while weak and sick fighting for his life he manages to tip his little tail. While struggling to breathe he will give a small lick to the nurses faces. He is such a fighter through everything. He is not willing to give up, neither are we. Jagger started vomiting, we took him to Central Veterinary Hospital in Guilford CT for emergency care. We were worried he ingested parts of a toy which the Dr. confirmed on x-ray. Fluids and treatments were started that night. The next day, Jagger became much worse in needed to go into emergency surgery to save his life. Once Jagger was taken into surgery, the surgeon found a Diaphragmatic hernia, gastric perforation with contents leaking into his chest resulting in infection. pneumothorax was noted and he had bilateral chest tubes placed. Jagger has been in the hospital for over 1 week. He continues to improve daily. Our family has raised $3500 to put down as deposit to save our sweet puppy. The bill has grown to over $12,000. This is a huge financial hard ship for our young family and we would appreciate any help.
Buddy
Buddy is a 19-year-old Dachshund in Montgomery, PA, who needs $1,449 for urgent dental surgery.

Buddy's story is one of heartbreak, grace, and kindness. The 19-year-old dog's family lost their home, and the homeless shelter where they are staying does not accept animals. So Buddy's owners desperately searched for a lifeline and thankfully found Gwen U., who agreed to take in the senior Dachshund. "Buddy's family worked tirelessly to find a foster home for him," Gwen tells Waggle. "Surrendering Buddy to a shelter was not an option; this family's drive is what prompted us to agree to foster Buddy. Pets are family, and family sticks together." But immediately after picking up Buddy, Gwen became worried about his health. "When I met Buddy, he was trembling; this dog literally broke my heart," she says. "I could tell he was an older guy based on his gray muzzle. When I learned this little dachshund was 19 years old, my heart sunk even more. On the drive home, I detected what I refer to as death breath and suspected Buddy was in kidney failure, or if he was lucky, just needed a dental. At any rate, Buddy needed vet care." Gwen scheduled an appointment for Buddy with Dr. Pardoe at Loyalsock Animal Hospital. The medical team discovered Buddy had terrible teeth, some even had pockets of pus in the gums, an ear infection, and his anal glands were extremely full. However, Buddy's bloodwork looked pretty good for a dog his age, and he was sent home with antibiotics to help his mouth feel more comfortable until he can receive dental surgery. Buddy's teeth treatments are pricey, but his outlook after the procedure is good. Gwen says he is an amazing dog. "Buddy is extremely awesome and what I refer to as a velcro dog. You can tell he has been well-loved. It's difficult believing Buddy is 19. He runs and plays like a much younger dog. Buddy and my family's 128 pound Doberman became fast friends, and our cats think Buddy is just another one of the feline species." Please help Buddy get the surgery he needs for a happy and healthy future!
