Maggie

Meet Maggie, a 7 y/o Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound mix. She was on the euthanasia list at the Saginaw TX shelter. She had been found as a stray and was in HORRIBLE shape, absolutely filthy, had incredibly long nails, looked like they had never in her life been cut, she was skinny and she has a plum sized lump hanging from her belly. She was shivering with fright, and obviously, she had not been well taken care of. Maggie needs exploratory surgery on the mass (the vet thinks it's a hernia, but won't know until surgery), dew claw removal, and to be spayed. Our moto at Pooch Savers is "Every dog deserves a second chance." In the few days we've had her, she has already made strides with her fearfulness. She loves to get belly rubs and really, any attention, and likes to give kisses. She will come through all this with a new chance at life!
Tinkerbell
Tinker Bell is an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in Dallas, TX, who needs $1,000 for Hardened Mammary Cyst Removal.

Meet Tinker Bell, an 8-year-old yorkie. She came to us from the Palm Valley shelter, in South Texas. She was on the euthanasia list because of the ENORMOUS growths on her underbelly. Our vet took x-rays of her chest to see if there were any signs of “spreading” - thankfully, the lungs & heart appear clear. The two hardened mammary masses are the size of fists and make up about 20% of her body weight, which is all of 9 lbs! She is another one that has obviously been SEVERELY neglected; these growths didn’t get this big overnight. Our moto at Pooch Savers is "Every dog deserves a second chance." She needs surgery to remove the growths, at which time she will be spayed and microchipped. Tinker Bell is full of life and very sweet and we anticipate a full, long, healthy, and happy life following surgery.
Chief
Chief is a 5-year-old Chihuahua in Antioch, TN, who needs $300 for Wound Dehiscence.

We adopted Chief almost 3 years ago after being surrendered because they had to move and couldn't take him with him. He was in three fosters homes but they couldn't handle him. He obviously had some issues which made him seem difficult but one look at those eyes I was hooked. I think all he needed was love. He loves to eat especially food that we might have in front of us. He has been known to grab a sandwich or a cookie from your hand or plate. He enjoys long walks and barking at every dog that we see. He loves going to the dog park and chase all the big dogs When going on walks he is always on the lookout for anything he can eat, food or dead birds. We have been dealing with financial stress with my husband losing his dog and we work everyday in order to keep the bills paid and not lose our house. The last few weeks have left both of us tight and this is again unexpected. We need help to get him well again. Chief had surgery last week for a hernia which caused his bowels to get twisted into it. They had to work on getting the parts that were killed off. They also had to keep him overnight to give him fluids and keep watch over him. It was serious and we brought him home last Thursday night. He has stitches and staples which have come loose. He has to be sutured again because his wound came open. He seems fearless at times but is afraid of thunderstorms and hides in my closet. When my neighbors try to pet him he will try to bite them. He loves to torment his dog brother and sister, he loves to play tug of war with his big sister. He like to keep me up at night also and bite my husband when he comes to bed. He is also the sweetest dog I have ever had and is very loving.
Corbin Dallas
Corbin Dallas is a 4-year-old Great Dane/ Pit Mix in Howell, MI, who needs $2,000 for Chop/Wisconsin protocol.

We adopted Corbin in November of 2017. We adopted him from a rescue that helps to save animals from kill shelters and other terrible situations. Corbin came to us after being pulled from an area with a breed ban. When we got him he was about 30 pounds with giant paws. Corbin is a 65 pound Dane mix, that is scared of everything and is the best cuddler around. Corbin lives with his 2 fur siblings, and his new baby brother that he is very fond of. He is the most loving pup! He loves to play tug of war with his dad! Corbin loves to cuddle his fur siblings, even if that means he’s laying on top of them! Corbin is always checking on the baby and in close proximity of him. Within the last 6 months we have had some major financial stresses. We have a mew born. Corbins brother Titan had to have emergency surgery for a broken leg. This took all of our emergency funds. Our boy Corbin is a strong and loving and we just love him so much. Corbin was diagnosed with Cancer. While going through multiple ultrasound scans, and X-rays, we have determined it’s lymphoma. Which makes Corbins prognosis good with chemotherapy. The recommendations from the oncologist vets at Blue Pearl to achieve remission is 6 treatments of the CHOP chemotherapy. Corbin is super playful! He loves his big fluffy rainbow ball! Although he doesn’t say no to any toy! Corbin is just like scooby doo! He’s easily scared! Corbin loves his cookies, especially when they are in his Kong! He loves to play with it on his back, while showing you his “bear skin rug” shape on his chest!
Uly
Uly is a 4-year-old Russian Ovvharka in Fairfax, VA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

In our short 4 years together, Uly, my Russian Ovcharka, has been with me everyday (except a vacation last year) and every step of the way since I adopted her just before Christmas of 2016. We explored from the California coast during her first year of life in which she discovered her passion for chasing deer and a debilitating fear of bird feathers. Uly currently resides in Fairfax, Virginia. Uly's size may be outweighed only by her personality. Her guardian instincts emerge like spring-time plants when she's around children, as well as her almost comically gentle nature. This is dramatically contrasted when she goes into play mode with her two GSD besties. At home though, Uly can usually be found making a bed sheet nest, demanding attention during WFH hours, or snoring comfortably. This vet bill is the last thing I thought I'd have on my plate this winter. Combined with the cumulative effects of the Pandemic, missing work to care for Uly, and buying assistive equipment to rehabilitate a 160 lb doggo, I cannot stubborn my way through this.I need help. Uly has a severed CCL in her right leg in addition to a weak left knee. It happened with no incident, slip, misstep, or fall that we know of. I recall glancing back and she was walking fine, a literal few seconds later and she couldn't walk. Under the care of Dr. Denney at Pender Veterinary Center, Uly is scheduled for TPLO surgery on March 4th, followed by an 8 to 12 week recovery period. True to her lineage, Uly lives her best life in the deepest, fluffiest snow. The excitement that overcomes her when we hit the snow reminds me of Derek and his whiskey. On the other hand, we are at the mercy of her condemnation for daring to give her a monthly bath, for which we usually receive a day of 'silent treatment' from her though she can always be swayed with a bribe of raw veggies.

He as a great home, he gets feed twice a day and we live and a modest 3 bedroom and 2 bath tralier but after taxis and bills and cat food we are broke. So need help. I love my baby boy. Blue is a silly lady's man. Hince the name lady's man which is we need to get him fixed. So we humblely ask for your help. Thank you. Blue is a funny cat, he loves everyone. When we walk out of the bedroom he meows till we come back in. Then he nuzzles us to greats and we nuzzle right back, he sleeps most of the day, and mostly on us lol. We love him very much and love all the other cats his sisters and brothers. He has three sisters and one brother. Thank you. We had to pay out $500 in taxes so we don't have the money right now and then we had to pay bills after the taxes after all that was paid we have no money left for this month and after we pay bills next month will only have a little over 50 to $60 left and it cost $300 to ge He has no medical conditions he just needs to be fixed in the vet hospital is Animal medical clinic of Punta Gorda Florida the veterinarian is doctor Dan Bowen He is a great doctor we like him and he loves the pets very much like the hospital too they are very nice they have reasonable prices and they love the pets but unfortunately after bills in taxes or broke so we need help thank you Yes he does hes sometimes will jump on us and start nuzzling us and it's so cute he will sometimes sit there and stare at the door until we come back in and sometimes he will follow us around the house is so adorable he also sleeps on us even though we can't get comfortable we don't have the heart to move him We let him sleep thank you
Joey

Retired from racing at the age of 5 ½, Joey was moved to a bad situation where he was neglected. He went without medical treatment and became terrified of the people that housed him. We rescued him and took him into the Sanctuary for Senior and Special Needs Animals at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue and we have been attending to his emotional, physical and medical needs. Joey lives in a specially designed home with 16 other senior and/or special needs hounds. Joey sleeps on his caretaker's bed, loves to go for car rides, and hangs out with his blind hound friend, Truman. Joey's quiet demeanor and gentleness touch the lives of everyone he meets. Since he became ill with Cushing's Disease, Joey has been more lethargic and acts as if something is bothering him. Our Sanctuary is a registered non-profit animal rescue. We rely on donations for vet care. We've been able to pay off Joey's earlier bills. However, we need help to pay for his upcoming ACTH Stim test to be sure his medication is working properly and not becoming toxic. Joey's been undergoing a battery of tests to get at the heart of his problems. He recently tested positive for hypothyroidism and Cushing's Disease and has started medications. It's crucial that we continue to monitor the medication levels in Joey's blood and make adjustments as needed. Joey gets excellent care from Dr. Tom Zulandt at Madison Veterinary Hospital. If there was ever a deep, sensitive soul, it's Joey. He's quite intelligent, and although very quiet, Joey is affected by his surroundings, and by the humans that have (and have not) cared for him. Ever observant, Joey is constantly on watch and his big brown eyes show his every emotion. Joey usually tells us what he needs, but lately, he's been withdrawn. The twinkle in his eyes is fading.
Oliver
Oliver is a 10-year-old Border Collie/Lab Mix in Dallas, TX, who needs $1,000 for chemo treatment.

I got Oliver as a puppy from the Collin County Humane Society. He was a very sick and neglected puppy as his litter was finally released to the Humane Society since they were mutts while the rest of the dogs in this family were Border Collies. Living despicable conditions Oliver came to me with Giardia, every kind of worm and Sarcoptic Mange which I contracted from him. Oliver had been with me for 10 years and it has been just the two of us the entire time. I am single with no children so far so Oliver has been my child. I take him everywhere as Dallas is a dog friendly city. He has gone to the park across the street to play with his friends everyday of his life. Oliver is definitely a Momma’s boy and follows me everywhere. I am single so I pay for everything myself. I work on commission and because of the pandemic I have barely made any money this year and don’t know when I get paid again. I will do anything to fight this terrible and unfair disease as Oliver is my everything. Oliver was diagnosed August 18, 2020 with Osteosarcoma in his left ulna. Luckily he was able to have leg sparing surgery to remove the tumor and is also a participant in the Yale Vaccine Trial. Medvet performed his surgery and treating his cancer. His oncologist is Dr. Bobbi McQuowan. He has had three chemo treatments and is to have three more. Oliver is extremely close with my parents and my sister. He cries, run and jumps on them every time he see them, which is a lot. He is the smartest dog I have ever seen and I am told that quite often. His knowledge and actions amaze me everyday. My family and I call him Rainman because he has to have the same schedule everyday and he does not like change. He cries if anything is out of place.

I adopted Chief almost 3 years ago from Metro Animal Care Control, his family had to move and they couldn't take him with them. He was in several foster homes but was too much for them. He has many issues, like barking all the time, trying to intimate all other dogs he meets, He will run up to people and try to bite them. He is also the sweetest dog I have ever had in my life. He annoys everyone at some point because he barks all the time and will steal food from your hand. He farts in my face and jumps on me. He just recently warmed up to Herb and just started to let Joseph pet him. He follows me all over the house and is always so happy to see me. He loves to eat Ottie's food and try to steal Skunks food. He chased the cats everyday and never gives up. We have had many financial issues and this surgery has to take place in the next few days, the sooner the better. At this time we don't have $800.00 to get this done in a day or two. If we are unable to pay for it, he will have to be put down. I really don't want to do that He is a very physically dog and is always chasing our cats, he jumps and try to chase cars when out for walks. He needs surgery for a hernia that is affecting him in that he hasn't been able to eat, his abdomen is very swollen and without the surgery it will lead to his death. It's only a matter of days before other organs will suffer and cause him pain. He loves all food and eats all the time. He's a chunk of a dog, thinks he is a pit bull and acts like my little protector. He sleeps with me every night and is most times the first thing I see every morning. He will stare at when you eat like if he keeps doing that you might give him something to make him go away.
