his name is day, i adopted him and his best friend night 3 years ago from friends of strays, actually i originally only wanted one cat but they would not let them be separated as they are such good friends, i call them night and day because one is all white and the other is all black and they just both have completely different personalities. over the last several months day has had to stay over nite at the vet due to his condition, and night gets depressed and hides in him room and will not eat till day returns

I am seeking financial assistance for my 6-month-old puppy, my world, my River. He was in an accident yesterday and tragically fractured his leg. He is such a happy, active, loving pup that it is tearing me apart knowing he is at the vet alone right now. I work for a nonprofit where I help victims of trauma, and unfortunately, I do not make enough to cover his medical expenses. Anything helps. River is such a sweet boy. His favorite activities are hiking and terrorizing mama. He comes with me to the office every day and is loved by my coworkers and clients. My plan is to get him trained to become a therapy dog soon. He loves playing fetch and twirling for treats. He is loved by everyone who meets him and always greets you with a wagging tail and wet kiss. Due to covid, I recently moved in with my dad to help him (he has stage 4 cancer), so he needed help with some bills and just general care. I am providing for both of us off of very limited funds. River is the most important thing in my life and I just want him home safe. I was at work and I left River with my dad for the day (he usually comes with me, but I had a very busy day and felt he would have more fun with grandpa). My dad was playing with him and River jumped up to get a ball out of my dad's hand and fell backwards, landing on his leg wrong and snapped it. I rushed home and took him to Loomis Basin VCA emergency vet, where he is currently being treated. I have never laughed so hard as I do now daily. He brings so much joy into my life and is so goofy. He has such a personality that everyone is entertained when they meet him. He loves sleeping on his back and taking up the entire bed. And filling his mouth with water, to then just open it and walk around the house creating a creek for mom to walk through.
Luna

As many know Luna came into mine, Mama Coco and Baileys lives on Saturday night, 16 January 2021. She is a puppy from Bailey's same litter whom the previous owners were unable to keep. She had adapted well that same night and was loving all the play time with her fur sisters and cuddling in the bed with all of us. Luna loves to give kisses and cuddle. She has her very own "teddy" ( just like her two sisters) whom she loves to cuddle with. Luna and my mastiff mix, Mama Coco, bonded very quickly and even shared night time cuddles and kisses. Luna has been a huge addition to our fur family with her sweet and gentle nature. I recently purchased a home so that Mama Coco would have a large yard to play in before I adopted the other two puppies. I was not prepared for an extreme emergency in any forms nor financially stable after purchasing a home. I currently work for the Army. Luna decided to jump out of the window on my moving car, the very next day after I picked her up. She suffered a spiral fracture in her left rear femur which required a 5 day hospital stay and surgery to implant a plate, rod and screws. Currently she is requiring 4 rounds of physical therapy and at home care. Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty with Jeremiah Moorer DVM and Brandy Cickocki DVM. Luna has a very gentle nature and is very tender hearted. She loved playing with her sisters, running around the yard (prior to injury) and jumping on the couch to snuggle. She is very smart and already knows commands and is eager to please. Luna is quick to come give kisses and always wagging her tail, she loves getting pets and cuddles.
Little Bit

I rescued Little Bit. She was malnourished and skittish. I paid the people to get her. They didn't care about her.She took to me in about 3 hrs. She just sat under my bed and my other min. Dachshund jack was 4 mo. old, she was 6 mos. I knew here living situation before was motels to motels. She had a hard 6 months. She relaxed in a few hours. She warmed ip to me pretty quick. Little bit acts like she's the alpha of the pack when I say pack I'm talking about miniature dachshund American Bulldog lab mix and my baby little bit when she barks it's like barking at command it's hilarious she loves everyone. She plays around with jack and molly. She sees my mom and barks and sits up pretty When is bedtime she's up in the bed under the covers and right in the middle of me my bf. I took care of my grandma for 2 yrs. She passed 10 / 20. Its very hard out there looking for a job due to covid 19 virus. It would mean alot to see my baby healthy again and id be so very Thankful for the help. I pray everyday for a miracle. I love my little girl so much! she needs her teeth cleaned the tartar buildup on her teeth, her gums are swollen she has gingivitis. Ive used a cloth which wont take the plaque off she has a little gap on the side of her mouth from the birth defect which makes it hard to keep moisture in the mouth and hard to clean her teeth. Her gums are real bad and a few more teeth need pulled and tarter build up which is bad on her heart. During the Spring and Summer she loves to chase the squirrels we have two black squirrels that like to tease her and Jack and Molly they start making their little noises and little bit starts barking like she's barking a command and she chases them and they go around the tree and she's going around the tree along with Jack and they go up to the branch and they bark way up there in the tree its a game
Mew Mew

Mew Mew came into my life about 8 years ago. I rescued her from the humane society as a kitten. Mew Mew got her name because she is very vocal and mews whenever you call her. She's an amazing cat. Loving, affectionate, she's awesome with my 3 year old daughter who loves her beyond words. We have a dog who also gets along with her really well. Kiki and mew mew play and snuggle together. Mew mew loves to be around us. She comes and lays on the dogs bed or on the couch. She also loves to lay beside my daughters toy box between that and the piano. She likes to snuggle with our dog and also myself or my daughter. she's an indoor cat and refuses to go outside. she lives a good life laying around in sunlight beams, playing on the stairs and eating and sleeping her day away. Recently there has been painful family issues within my household that have caused financial hardship on us. We have always been able to care for our animals. Unfortunately we cannot afford the $ to do the biopsy as Mew mew's vet is saying needs to be done. Recently I noticed mew mew limping. I took her into her vet at angel animal clinic. She's been there three times. Her paw pads are swollen and purple. they are tender and hurt for her to walk on. Our vet put her on steroids which seemed to help but did not completely heal her paws. She suspects an auto immune disease and possibly something else going on. She wants to do a biopsy to find the issue Mew mew is just a all around sweet cat. She is the sweetest cat I have ever come across. Some cats hide and attack, others are extremely independent but mew mew is just consistent, loving and sweet. She loves to be petted and loved on. She is beautiful. All white with yellow eyes. She was the last kitten left in the shelter. Last but not least!

I purchased my puppy in Frederiksburg, VA. I currently live in Chelsea, MA I have a studio apartment. I am a first time pet owner and am eager to get Luxor back to 100%. She was born to a tan and chocolate Frenchie. She had 3 other siblings whom are happy and doing well in their new homes. She has been doing great here with me so far. She is very energetic and loves to play and cuddle. She is very playful! She loves to jump (hence the accident) and loves to cuddle. She does great with children as she came from a breeder with 4 children under 4 at home. I've introduced her to many people and have taken her to the dog park which she enjoys. When she is not playing she is sleeping, as most babies love to do, I was furloughed last spring due to the pandemic. I recently became employed for the school year but am digging myself out of the debt that was created due to the combination of no finances coming in and not being eligible for unemployment. Luxor is currently at the VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital- she has a broken elbow and needs surgery. As of today, she has a 105.5 fever, is vomiting, and not keeping down liquids. She may have pneumonia and/or other GI issues. She's taken a turn and I am hoping with some financial support she can get the care she needs to get back to normal. Shes special because she makes me feel important, She makes me feel like I matter. She was going to be my emotional support companion. Of all the therapies I've experienced, animal therapy helped me the most, which is why I got Luxor. Although I've only had her for a short period of time, we've created a special bond. I am devastated at what we are dealing with right now.
Gus

Gus has been a blessing in my life for the last 10 years. I am a type 1 diabetic and suffer from anxiety disorder. Gus and I live alone, and he has been with me through so much. He is truly more than a dog, he is like a child to me. Where I go, he goes. He is well known to friends and family and loved by all. Gus has a calm and sweet disposition and truly understands human situations. Gus loves to ride in the car with me. He likes to be right in the middle console beside me so he can see what's going on. He is a very social dog and likes to visit family. He is very loved by my siblings, parents, and nieces. Gus truly thinks he is a person and loves to wear doggy clothes. He is a member of our family. His bed is right beside mine and he sleeps there everynight. I am a Type 1 diabetic and suffer from anxiety disorder. My only income is disability. My family has been able to help Gus financially but the cost of amputation and a wheelchair is alot. It is heartbreaking to see him feeling this bad. I would do anything to help him. In April 2020 Gus began limping. Dr. Wolfe did lab work that showed he had a fungal infection in that bone. He was put on anti fungal medicine at that point until Oct 2020. The fungal infection was gone but xrays showed it had deteriorated the bone. Recently he has been in pain because of this. Dr. Wolfe said the only option is amputation, bc of his small legs he will need a wheelchair. When visiting family he communicates and interacts with them by barking and wanting snuggles, hugs, and pets. Once while visiting my parents I told Gus to get in the car because we were leaving and he sat right on the ground, looked at me and shook his head no! It is amazing the instinct and realization he has. When he gets new clothes he will bring them to you wanting to wear them!
Rocco

Rocco and I started our journey together in NYC. I found him on Craigslist and picked him up in Brooklyn. He's been my best companion ever since and has been by my side through my many moves and now here in Austin. Through this pandemic we have spent lots of time together and he loves going on long walks with me on the boardwalk on Lady Bird Lake. Rocco is a sweet, snuggly dog and is always cautious yet friendly. He immediately gravitates to the first available lap and loves to bark at rolling objects. He will always greet you with a sniff and a kiss and is stands close by to catch any little scraps from your meal. He also knows when it's time to eat or go out and will tell you with a little sweet growl and his big brown eyes. Unfortunately, I've been out of work since April of 2020 due to the pandemic. It's been tough, things are slowly improving, I just don't have all the extra I need right now to cover this. Rocco has been by my side through so much and I just want him to be better. Recently I discovered a lump in Rocco's mouth, we got it tested and it is cancerous. The lump looks as though it can be easily removed with surgery. But prior to that surgery we need to run some additional tests to ensure that the cancer has not spread and his heart is okay as he has a heart murmur. He goes to Zippivet here in Austin on South Lamar Rocco loves any other dog but has an affinity for fluffy white dogs and gets excited when he sees them. He's sometimes protective of me but for the most part is a chill dog. He is a bit puppy-like and mischievous in his older years but still loves stinky shoes and if you aren't careful and he's feeling extra frisky, you might find your shoes in a different part of the room than you left them.
Ollie
Ollie is a 2-year-old Beagle in Middletown, CT, who needs $1,200 for Fractured rear leg.

Ollie escaped from his home. He was terrified and unable to be caught. He was finally caught in a trap and returned home. We thought it was the happy ending we all wanted but he escaped AGAIN. This time, unfortunately, he was struck by a car and his leg was fractured. He was caught in a trap a second time and brought to our vet for care. Luckily he just needed a splint and not surgery. Ollie's owner signed him over to Middletown Animal Control. Unfortunately, he was more than they were prepared for and they were unable to keep him safely contained. We agreed to get him the care he needed. We then found him an amazing new home where he can get the attention he needs. Ollie is a shy boy that is slowly learning to come out of his shell. He has 3 dog siblings that he loves! Ollie was signed over to Middletown Animal Control because his owners could not afford his care and were not prepared for his lack of socialization. We are a municipal agency with a limited budget. Our goal is to help every animal and to find resources when needed. Ollie was treated at the Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center for his leg injury. Fortunately, his leg was only fractured but not displaced. He was able to get away with a splint that needs to be changed every two weeks. He avoided surgery! He still needs two more bandage changes and another set of x-rays to ensure he is healed. Ollie has been restricted due to his leg splint but he is learning what play is. He is gentle and sweet but terribly shy. Every day starts out slowly but by the end he is running around and playing with his new toys. He rides quietly in the car to go to his vet visits. His new Mom & Dad are working to socialize him and give him lots of love. He is ridiculously cute!
