Gabby

We got Gabby along with her sister Lola on Christmas day 2017. I only planned to get one puppy for the kids (when I say kids I mean 2 teens). Our older dog Sheba is 14 and she is going blind and deaf and we wanted not only another companion for her but one that we could continue to love long after Sheba passed away. Persuasive as my kids can be, we wound up with two puppies on christmas. Gabby along with her siblings have the best life ever. I really mean that. They are not only our fur babies, but a part of the family. I don't think she has favorites of the household humans, she takes her days and goes and finds one that she wants to spend more time with and that is her goal. She is abundantly playful and loves to interact with everyone. I unfortunately as well as all of our household have been laid off due to the pandemic. Financially, I can't afford it, but she needs it done. The infections are more frequent and she itches and bites at it. I cant continue the vet trips w/ no relief and peace for her. We did not realize until after she was 1 1/2 or more that she had a screw/inverted tail. Her tail instead of growing outward, grew inward. Unfortunately we have been so the vet so many times to help with this, meds, wipes, cream, etc. The bills keep mounting & no relief for her has came from this. I spoke to Dr. Sven K. Kohlmyer and he suggests tail amputation. She has the biggest heart of a dog I have ever seen. The love that exudes on her face when she snuggles or grabs your arm with her paw just shows she has so much love to give. She is goofy as all get out. She will find a ball and put it in her mouth and just squeeze on it. This causes her face to squish up and I swear it is the funniest thing we have ever seen. Its all about balls and squeaky toys

We live in a two bedroom home that I’m about to lose because I can’t pay rent. We have a cute little house that that is our home. Sky hasn’t had her vet visit yet since we got her because of financial struggles. I know maybe I shouldn’t of adopted her because I can barely provide for us. My son has always wanted a German “Chipperd” as he always called them. She is like a service dog to Jared. My little boy always one of the dog. My son is 10 years old it has ADHD. This dog has helped him tremendously I’m not only helping him it’s his best friend. I am a single mother with no income and no family all we have is me my son and sky girl. It devastates me to think about losing her because I can’t afford to take my little boys dog to get help. I lost my job because of Covid-19 and I’m unable to work because my little boys school is closed due to the pandemic. He is home schooled so that means I cant work. Single mother no support and I struggle on a daily basis. Sky girl need seen by a veterinarian ASAP. I’m ashamed that I had to ask for any kind of help but it’s reality that if she don’t get the proper medical assistance she is going to die. She is part of our little family. We have had her for only 8 months We got her from a lady that couldn’t afford to take care of her either. She is so loving. Please help give sky a chance at life. She is the most loving dog. She lays in bed with you right beside you and she will put her arm around you just like she is a human being. Very therapeutic to both of us I also struggle with mental health conditions. I have bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and drug abuse history. Just being honest. I have been sobor for two years and she has helped me maintain my sobriety.

Spooky is a trap and release that chose to live with me and become my baby girl. My fiancé and I moved into an old farm property 6 years ago and she was living there and being cared for my the prior tenant. Unfortunately he couldn’t take spooky with him because he was allergic so we promised we would care for the tiny cat, low and behold she chose to stay with us and become an indoor house cat. Spooky is friends with anyone she meets and is highly loved especially by not only us but our pet rabbit. They are best friends! She is truly a one of kind animal. Her heart is bigger than she is and she doesn’t deserve to have these issues. She’s tiny but has a BIG personality that resonates with everyone she meets! Due to COVID I lost my part time job last March which was an extra 1500 a month and most recently my fiancé was injured at work and still has not received any compensation! We are struggling to stay afloat and keep our car and home and don’t have the extra funds for this For as long as we have had her she has had absolutely no health issues. Even living outside for many years! This started with a cough that has led to severe congestion, bloody snots, and diminished ability to breathe. She’s been on 3 different antibiotics and is now on prednisone for inflammation and to stimulate her appetite. She requires specialized care we cannot afford. Spooky is unique not only the fact that she’s tough at only 5.8lbs but she is extremely affectionate and friendly. She’s fearless and let’s nothing stop her. She just wants to be loved. A true lap cat in every sense of the word! She has become an expert at being in the shower for steam time and absolutely loves when I feed her, she gets syringe fed once a day now as she has difficulty eating.
Joey
Joey is a 9-year-old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $162 for Cushing's (LDDS) test.

Joey currently lives at the Sanctuary for senior and special needs animals at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. Joey was born into the world of greyhound racing and raced until he was 5 1/2 years old. After retirement, Joey ended up with a family that neglected him. We rescued him from that situation and have been attending to his physical, medical and emotional needs. Joey loves the Sanctuary life and we love caring for Joey. He lives in a specially designed home with 17 other senior and/or special needs hounds. Joey sleeps on his caretaker's bed, loves to go for car rides, and hangs out with his blind hound friend, Truman. Joey's quiet demeanor and gentleness touch the lives of everyone he meets. Our Sanctuary is a registered non-profit animal rescue. We rely on donations for vet care. We've been able to pay off Joey's earlier bills. However, we need help to pay for his upcoming Cushing's (LDDS) test. Joey was neglected and he deserves to feel better again. Joey gets excellent care from Dr. Tom Zulandt at Madison Veterinary Hospital. Of late, Joey has been lethargic, gaining weight without eating more and his coat is thinning and lacks luster. We've done a large battery of tests and found that Joey's thyroid isn't fully functioning and that he's at risk for Cushing's. We need to perform one more test (LDDS) for Cushing's and begin treatment. If there was ever a deep, sensitive soul, it's Joey. He's quite intelligent, and although very quiet, Joey is affected by his surroundings, and by the humans that have (and have not) cared for him. Ever observant, Joey is constantly on watch and his big brown eyes show his every emotion. We go slowly with Joey and let him tell us what he needs.

We rescued Bo when he was almost 1 year old from the VA Beach, SPCA in 2012. He had been left at the shelter by friends of his previous owner. We immediately went to meet him and it was a match made in heaven! He immediately licked our faces as well as his adopted big "sister" Daisy. They were very close until she passed in 2018. He now has a little boxer "sister" named Rosie. Bo loves his little "sister" Rosie and enjoys playing tug of war with her, run at the dog park, and go for walks in the neighborhood. She has certainly given him a run for his money and is keeping him in shape! One of his favorite indoor activities is getting treats out of the numerous Kong toys laying around the house. He uses his "Chewbacca" voice if you aren't giving him enough attention! Husband was unemployed from August 2017 until March 2018, I also was not working at that time as I was evaluating what work I could do after being diagnosed with Multiple-Sclerosis. These factors led to an accumulation of high debt and no money to save for emergencies. Bo was recently diagnosed with Anal Sac Carcinoma and bladder stones. This form of cancer is rare but can be aggressive. After many x-rays, ultrasounds, and bloodwork his vet determined the tumor was cancerous but that it had not spread. His closest lymph nodes also need to be removed to prevent further spreading of the cancer. This is a costly surgery but has a good life expectancy prognosis. He is a big love bug and loves to lay on our laps and gaze into our eyes. He is the sweetest boy and makes friends where ever he goes. He's very well behaved especially around young children and all of his family and 4 legged friends. He's made several friends at the dog park including his best friend, Ranger, who is also a boxer. When every we feel down he is there to give us extra love.
Coco
Coco is an 8-year-old Lab Mix in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.

Coco was adopted as a puppy by her dad, Nick. She has been his companion for over eight years and helped him overcome his battle with addiction. I was lucky enough to meet Coco a year ago. At first she wasn’t so sure about me, but now we are inseparable. I feel her love every day and I have never cared for a dog the way I care about her. Coco lives with Nick and I in a house with a small back yard. She loves to play and chase her Kong toy when she was able to, and especially loves to bask in the sun. She loves to hike down to the river to play fetch with a stick in the water. On our luckiest mornings she gets in bed to cuddle with us and gets so many pets. Nick is in school and in the process of getting back on his feet after his battle with addiction. He has no savings and is unable to afford the surgery. Coco is everything to him and seeing her in pain causes pain to the both of us. Please help if you can! Coco tore her ACL/CCL in December chasing a ball. We have been giving her pain medication/joint supplements and having her wear a brace since. She is still in pain and is often panting or whimpering and it is breaking our hearts. The TPLO surgery is expensive and it is likely she may need a second one if she damages her other ACL during recovery. She is being treated by Rosedale Vet Clinic Coco takes a bit to warm up. She is queen of the side eye and often stares you in the eyes with a sassy look. She loves to lick the last bits of the ice cream container and will not look away while you’re eating it. Her grumpy attitude makes her lovey moments so special and we can’t help but give her treats all the time.
ZOE
ZOE is a 9-year-old Tuxedo in Braintree, MA, who needs $756 for Biopsy on face swelling lump.

ZOE, the girl with a mustache cat is a 9-year-old rescue tuxedo cat I got ZOE on Mothers Day as a baby back in 2011. She was an outdoor cat (because she would run out) and just became indoor this past year. Zoe loves to sit with me and purr away. That purr soothes me. ZOE has many fans on her Facebook Page ZOE, the girl cat with a mustache. ZOE is a great cat. Zoe came to me like a miracle right after my boyfriend passed and she definitely helped me through deep grief. I made a Facebook Grief page and a ZOE, the girl cat with a mustache page after my boyfriend's death. I could not have made it through it without her. She is a very special cat that everyone loves. Not working due to covid is awful. I am not financially stable at all. I don't know what I'm going to do if I lose her. It would be really nice if someone could please help me out and get my baby healthy. Last week I noticed a lump on ZOEs cheek. I was heartbroken. I took her to the vet and we are trying antibiotics and they are not working so ZOE needs the lump to be biopsied to see if it is cancer. She also needs to be sedated for it and where she 9 ZOE also needs a senior screen and an ultrasound. Zoe saved my life when I was in deep grief and depression. She sat by my side as I cried and cried. She still helps me today. When I feel down she is right by my side. Zoe is always there to help. She puts a smile on my face every day. She also tries to help on her Facebook page where she (I) talk about mental health, cat care, and other things.

Sam is a 7-year-old Long hair tabby in Washington, DC, who needs $1,780 for Surgery .

I found Sam along with his siblings. His mom just happened to come to my house and I fed her and took care of her babies. Sam and his siblings have been with me for 7yrs. And I love them to death. Sam is living in a home with me and my son. He has his own bed, food and water bowl. He is a long hair tabby with white, tan, black fur. Sam has a wonderful life here in my home. He loves to play with my son and his friends. I must say Sam is a Mama’s boy. He is spoiled. He loves to get into the window and just sleep. He has his favorite ball that he hides so that his siblings can’t play with it. He loves to go into my son room and bury himself in his blankets. The pandemic has interrupted with me receiving regular pay. It would mean a lot to me for Sam to receive surgery for his ruptured ACL. I want him back to normal. Right now he is limping and he can’t sit or stand too long. Please help me raise money for his surgery. ❤️ Sam ruptured his ACL in the back leg. Right now he is comfortable with pain medication and relaxing a lot more. He goes to PG Animal hospital where he received treatment/medication. His surgery will be done at Helping Hands in Richmond VA. Right now I have not made an appointment for his surgery as of yet. Sam is fascinated by the trash truck. When he hears the trash truck he just runs and jumps into the window and watches as the truck goes by. Sam wakes me up every morning with his paw on my face so that I can open the window. He gets in the window every morning at 6:30am. He lets me know when he wants more of my attention by tapping me on my leg. He surprises me all the time.

In July 2018 while driving between jobs I found a cat following a man on the street. After observing the man and the cat, I quickly realized that the cat was just aimlessly following people and had no attachment to the person. After retrieving him and driving around the neighborhood I was unable to find his owners, I then went home and made fliers, and submitted his information to the lost pet websites. As the weeks turn into months, I realized that nobody was coming to claim this cat, but at that point he had already grown on me so he became part of the family.
