How did your Pet come into your life? I have a cat that gave birth to Koba so we’ve had him since birth. we have other pets. I also have Koba‘s parents, his mother and his father and his siblings. How his name come about my daughter gave him his name. Koba started off with a UTI about a month ago he was on medication we thought everything was good. He was urinating and poop in the litter box and then yesterday things changed. He stopped eating. He started throwing up so we took him to our vet at Banfield Pet Hospital and we had him jarrettsville veterinary center Koba is a really sweet cat. He loves to talk to you and tell you how his day was he’s very vocal and he loves pets. He loves treats and catnip. He loves toys and he loves the sisters. We are on a fixed income. We are disabled and can only do so much per our disability so that keeps our money low and what would it mean to have our pet healthy again it would mean the world to us we might have many cats and two dogs, but he’s unique in his own way

He Looked Like a Lion… But He Was Fighting for His Life

Meet Leon, who is now under Stray Dog Support's care in partnership with a rescue in Egypt. They named him Leon because he looks like a lion—but the truth is, he shouldn’t. His body is riddled with ulcers and tumors, causing severe swelling and making him much larger than he should be. Leon is currently at the same hospital as their other dog Justice, receiving the best care possible. Right now, they are still in the discovery stage. Tests have revealed that he has blood parasites, and X-rays show a lung infection. They are now waiting on an ultrasound to understand the full extent of what he’s facing. For the first time in a long time, Leon is safe. He’s receiving antibiotics, hepatic food, fluids, and vital supplements. Once we have the ultrasound results, they’ll be able to create a clear treatment plan and move forward with his care. This giant, noble boy has been suffering—but now, he finally has a chance at a fresh start surrounded by lots of love. But we can’t do this without you. Leon will need to be hospitalized for weeks, and his care will be extensive. So what’s next? We need your help. Whether it’s donating, sharing his story, or keeping him in your thoughts—every bit of support matters. Let’s give Leon the fighting chance he deserves. Trouble has a beautiful home with me he's attached to me he sleeps with me he eats with me he's not just a dog I saved him from a horrible life and gave him a life that every dog deserves and wants he's very well taken care of he actually has more than he needs but that's okay he's allowed he's the baby when my husband was dying he laid on his bedside trouble deserves this surgery Trouble came into my life when he was 6 weeks old he was full of fleas and ticks so bad they were biting and chewing and eating his neck in the back of his head the girl that had the dogs I called the police on her when the police came they were taking them and I asked him can I please take him he just kept looking at me so sadly I've had him eight years now. Trouble is not just my dog he's my baby he helped me get through taking care of my husband on hospice and we lost him last May trouble laid by his side till his last breath he is more than just a dog to me he's my child he's a wonderful dog and my great granddaughter is so attached to him he just loves her we can't lose him please we need help any help you can give us we appreciate I lost my husband May of last year that took 3/4 of my income away now I'm living on disability getting ready to go on hospice myself with lung failure and liver but trouble has a chance at a healthy life if we get this Mass removed from his mouth he is all I have

Squeaky came from a high kill shelter with 12 hours left on her clock, she was only 5 months old but the only one who was reaching out of her cage to grab my attention. She was in a high kill shelter with 12 hours left. The worker walking with me said, she is black, which makes her less likely to be adopted out and she also suffered from a terrible URI as a kitten that caused her eye to ulcerate. It needs an enucleation. The shelter did bare minimum for URI but the enucleation couldn’t be done. She would have died if I didn’t take her home. I promised her the day I picked her up, she would be okay. She would be safe and happy. And she is. I just don’t have the funds to cover her enucleation. She is the most amazing little girl. She loves her fish that flops around, her scratching posts and pushes little items off tables and such. She also picks her food up with her paw to eat it. She is the best. Family financial crisis took a nose dive due to medical reasons, my Squeaky means the world to not just me but our whole family and if we could get her enucleation, she would be so much more comfortable.

In 2021 my daughter and I rescued a stray mom and her kittens. Puppy was the tiniest one, and my daughter was instantly smitten, so we kept her. She’s an affectionate indoor cat who fills our cozy two‑bedroom apartment with calm and love—always ready for lap cuddles, fresh water, and a soft spot to rest her chin. Puppy is in need of an urgent right leg amputation. Her leg has stopped working, due to muscle degeneration and lack of blood flow. Over the past week, her quality of life has significantly decreased and we just want her feeling better and to live out all the years she has left. She is being seen by Dr. Volz at The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park. Puppy is a lively, quirky part of our family. Her favorite spot is on our chests, and she’ll slow motion army crawl up, even nudging our phones aside with her head to get cozy. When she’s not there, she’s sunbathing, laying on her back, resting her chin somewhere soft, or hanging out with our other cat, Paxton. I’m a single mom doing my best to care for my family, but the cost of Puppy’s surgery is more than I can handle alone. She’s only four and deserves many more happy, healthy years. Sadie Anne is my lovable, crazy and happy 5-year-old Yellow Labrador. She came into my family when I moved to LaPorte, Indiana and adopted her to be a younger sister for Gracie Rose, who is my nearly 12-year-old labrador. A couple of weeks ago, she had - what appeared to be - a puncture wound on her left rear leg elbow. Too much running with sticks was my first thought. Time for the Vet! After making an appointment and having my veterinarian examine her, her lab work came back inconclusive. Dr. Andrea at Pine Lake Animal Hospital is the best and when she suggested the possibility of a surgical procedure/removal/biopsy to examine this growth, I became concerned, The estimate of $1000 is more than I have to help Sadie Anne. So...what makes Sadie special in my life? She's always happy! She follows me and sleeps with me every night, she 'requires' treats regularly - whether it is a bite of cheese, egg or anything I'm eating.:) She is constantly ready to have me throw a stick and will continue until I say STOP. She is just my big goofball, and I want her to be healthy. Asking for help for anything is not in my DNA. This, however, concerns me. There just are no resources for a surgery to rule out cancer. While waiting to see if the lump looks any better in 1-2 weeks, I'm reaching out for any help I can. She's my 70 lb. big baby love bug.

Lulu has been part of our family for years and is truly one of us. She lives at home with me and our other dogs, and they are very bonded—she always tries to keep up with them. She’s gentle, loving, and has always had a quiet, sweet presence. Her name just fit her soft personality, and it stuck from the beginning. Lulu has been battling PIMA, a serious autoimmune condition where her body attacks her red blood cells. She is being treated by our veterinary hospital and has required multiple transfusions, along with intensive medications. This is not a quick fix—it’s ongoing and unpredictable. She’s fighting, but the cost of continued care is overwhelming. Lulu is the kind of dog who asks for nothing but gives everything. She’s calm, affectionate, and deeply connected to our family. She loves being near us, quietly following from room to room. Even now, she still tries to be part of everything, wagging her tail and staying close—it’s impossible not to love her. We’ve been managing Lulu’s care for months, but the repeated transfusions, medications, and emergency visits have become overwhelming. This was sudden and unexpected, and we simply weren’t prepared for costs at this level. Having help would mean we can continue her treatment

Hector is a senior beagle mix who should be spending his days resting comfortably, enjoying gentle walks, and soaking up love. Instead, he’s been surviving in pain. This sweet boy was found as a stray and brought to a rural Kentucky shelter, where his condition quickly broke hearts. Hector is overweight, older, and struggling—but what hurts him most is a severely damaged front leg. An X-ray revealed the devastating truth: Hector’s leg was broken long ago and never treated. The injury has healed incorrectly and is now far beyond repair. While our team always does everything possible to save a limb—even for balance—Hector’s leg is no longer helping him. It’s only causing him pain. He holds it tightly against his body, unable to use it, and cries out when it accidentally touches the ground. The kindest and only option left is amputation. In addition to his orthopedic care, Hector also tested positive for Lyme disease and is currently being treated with doxycycline to help address that infection as well. As expected, recovery has come with a few challenges. Because Hector lost a front load-bearing leg and is also carrying extra weight, adjusting to his new balance and center of gravity is taking time. His care team is carefully assisting him through this transition while also helping him slim down with a healthy diet plan to make mobility easier on his body. The wonderful news is that Hector continues to show everyone exactly who he is: a very sweet, happy boy who is taking each day in stride. He is healing, adapting, and getting stronger. Most importantly, Hector is no longer living with the constant pain of that unusable limb. Chimbo is suffering from severe, chronic ulcerative skin lesions and painful ear infections that have already caused hematomas and ongoing discomfort. His skin is sensitive, he tires easily, and he needs consistent care — something street life simply can’t provide. The team at Amici Cannis stepped in to give this sweet soul a chance. There’s even someone interested in adopting him — which is wonderful news — but they don’t have the financial means to cover the diagnostics and treatment he urgently needs. To truly help Chimbo, veterinarians must perform important diagnostics, including biopsies and cultures, to determine the underlying cause of his chronic skin disease.
