Schultz
Schultz is a 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer in Monroe, CT, who needs $650 for dental surgery.

Schultz came into our rescue as an owner surrender at the beginning of January 2019. His owner was dying of liver cancer, and no family member could take him. An advocate for the family took him very temporarily and thought she had an adopter for him. However, when she took him to the vet for dental care, he was diagnosed with a significant heart murmur. He could not have surgery until his medical condition was evaluated, and neither the adopter nor Schultz's advocate could commit to further evaluation. Our rescue was contacted and we agreed to take him into rescue. Our vet did bloodwork which was normal, and x-rays that showed a slight enlargement of the heart. We therefore took Schultz for an echocardiagram and evaluation with a board certified cardiologist. That evaluation showed early stage mitral valve disease, but the cardiologist happily determined that Schultz is, at this point, a good candidate for surgery. We need to get that done as soon as possible - his mouth is in awful condition and he will need 12 teeth removed.
Lando
Lando is a 1-year-old German Shepherd in Wichita, KS, who needs $2,000 for surgical correction of hypospadias.

Lando was surrendered to Kansas K-9 ResQ for a birth defect. Upon physical examination it was noticed that his penis did not form properly at birth and is in fact not functional. He is able to urinate, but it is out of an opening directly below his anus. Without the help of the rescue and the funds to be able to take him to a specialist, this amazing 12 week old German Shepherd puppy would have to be euthanized.
Sid Jingles
Sid Jingles is a 12-year-old Silky Terrier Mix in Steilacoom, WA, who needs $2,000 for treatment of a bacterial infection.

Sid Jingles was found as a stray and brought to the local Humane Society. Due to his extensive medical issues in need of immediate attention, the shelter transferred him to Kindred Souls Foundation. Our medically fragile program is for animals who still have quality of life, but need more than basic medical care. We pair them with a long-term KSF caregiver and if they do not adopt out, then they have a safe and loving home with KSF for the remainder of their days. Sid has good quality of life, so we are providing all of the medical care he needs in preparation of his new and improved life!
Hudson
Hudson is a 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Cedar Park, TX, who needs $1,800 for chemotherapy.

Hudson is a 10 years old bucket loving boy who sometimes resembles a potato. He was adopted from Austin Pets Alive! on April 29th, 2017, and was a staff favorite. Before he was transferred over to Austin Pets Alive he was dropped off at Austin Animal center weighing 50 pounds (he’s 80 at a healthy weight now) and heartworm positive. Hudson truly connects with his people on a different level and he brings joy to everyone who meets him, and is a true poster boy for how sweet bully breeds are. After he was returned by his first adopter, I got lucky enough to grab this sweet boy. Hudson has been a great help to my husband who is a veteran and suffers from PTSD and it has come naturally to him. When my husband is having a nightmare Hudson has even learned to get on top of him and start licking his face to wake him up. They both are attached at the hip.

Eisley is a 6-year-old Rottweiler in Vilas, NC, who needs $1,212 for mass removal and biopsy.

I adopted Eisley (pronounced I-zlee, formerly named Roxy) in March 2013 from a co-worker who could no longer keep her. She was 8 months old and I was barely 23. I had just moved to Boone about 6 months prior from my hometown of Virginia Beach and I was not looking to adopt a dog. But the moment I met her, tied to a tree in my co-worker's front yard, I knew I wouldn't be leaving her there. She came home with me that same night and we've been together ever since. A year later, I adopted Emma from the Watauga Humane Society so that Eisley would have company during the work / school day. These dogs have seen me through the death of my mother and cousin, the near death of their bird brother, multiple knee surgeries, working my way through my bachelor's and master's degrees in social work, getting my first job in the field, and countless other transitions and hardships (big and small) throughout the years. Including multiple surgeries on Emma - most recently emergency surgery in February 2019 to remove an intestinal blockage caused by a ball of grass. Through all of these hardships, I bury my face in Eisley's fur and breathe deep to find renewed strength and solace. I'm not exaggerating - that's one of my primary coping skills. I swear I didn't know love - how to give it or receive it - until she came into my life, and my life has revolved around her and Emma since our first day together. I wouldn't change it for anything.
Shadow
Shadow is a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever mix in Toledo, OH, who needs $409 for mass removal.

Hello Shadow is a amazing dog. I got her around 7 years ago. She was being abused by the person taking care of her. I happen to catch it and bought her off the person. She has been the best thing to come into my life. We have such a close bond. Where ever her mama is that's where she wants to be. Shadow will do anything for a treat. She loves to dance and shake her butt. Her favorite thing to do is go bye bye in the car with mom and dad. I love shadow so much and she has givin me nothing but love and understanding despite what she has been through. She is a big sweetheart. She loves her brother and her babies*our kids*. She loves to wear pretty clothes we call them pretties. She always so happy when I come home. Shadow means so much to me. She has been there when I needed it. I always can count on her. She is my fur baby and I would do anything for her. Shadow can sit,shake, lay down, high five, stay and dance. We are working on new tricks. Shadow is just a amazing dog and I'm truly blessed to have her apart of my family.
Joe
Joe is a 10-year-old Boxer in San Ramon, CA, who needs $1,784 for a mass removal.

Joe is ten years old and hasn’t had an easy life. His most recent family adopted him from a rescue group a little over 2.5 years ago – we don’t know anything about his history before then. Joe’s family lost everything in the Camp Fire in November 2018. They had a home in Paradise, CA which was destroyed. Joe’s family is still trying to get back on their feet and unfortunately can no longer keep him. Joe was kept in several different boarding kennels after the fire and wasn’t doing well. He was very stressed, scared and unhappy in the kennel environment. Joe’s family wanted to do what is best for Joe and made the heart-wrenching decision to give him up rather than have him wait for them when they have no certainty of having a place to keep him. That’s where I came into the picture. I’m Joe’s foster mom. Many dogs who are stressed in kennels do really well once they are out of that environment, and I wanted to give Joe a chance. And guess what? It worked! Joe is a sweet, loving and playful dog and gets along well with my family- kids, dogs, and cats. But Joe also has trust issues – he is wary of people he doesn’t know which is making it more difficult for me to find him a new home. But I’m not giving up, and in the meantime, Joe has a few medical issues that need to be cleared up to help his chances of adoption. Joe was coughing up blood. I brought him to the vet and he was diagnosed with bronchitis, which we’re treating with medication. He also has two cancerous lumps (one is a mast cell tumor) on his back leg, which need to be removed to prevent them from spreading. That’s why I’m posting him here. I’m hoping to raise money to pay for Joe’s surgery.
Emma

Hiroyuki is a 10-week-old Domestic Short Hair in Seattle, WA, who needs $575 for eye removal and cryptorchid neuter.

Hiroyuki came to Saving Grace Rescue from a high kill shelter. He was born with severe eyelid agenesis and cystic lesions behind his eyes causing pain and blindness. At only ten weeks old, sweet Hiroyuki needs surgery to remove both eyes. He is also crytptorchid requiring abdominal surgery for his neuter procedure.
