Lucky came into my life when I was consumed by grief. Little did I know, he would soon heal me in ways I could not imagine. I came across a sweet advertisement for a kitten who was very loving and cuddly. His pictures were mostly of him intertwined with his twin brother bear. Nose to nose. I immediately put in an application for him without hesitations. Just instinct. Lucky has presented with constipation since he was 2 years old. After his first hospitalization revealing that he had no symptoms that could explain why he was unable to use the bathroom but after the switch to prescription fiber filled food and the occasional laxative, he would manage his symptoms. During October of 2025, Lucky started showing signs of constipation. Lucky loves to love. Although anxious to strangers, to his favorite beings, he is always there loving you. Lucky is one of the rarest kinds of cats that you come across that can make you feel so special and important. Just by how he looks at you with big yellow eyes that are full of admiration and affection. He is not just a cat but a healer. To his bonded brother, he is everything. With my grandmother needing financial help with medication after my father’s passing, I jumped right in as anyone would. As the eldest sister, providing help to my grandmother and sister. My younger sister is a single mother. Now I am needing to help my sweet cat.

Kari joined our family after the passing of our previous tabby, Rini. My husband and I walked into Petco, saw that there was a new tabby, and we instantly knew we needed her to heal She has 7 siblings. Lately, she has had bloody urine and has been bullied by them for smelling sick. She has a chronic condition regarding her bladder that we haven't been able to keep up on the meds, unfortunately. The irony surrounding Kari's medical situation is that she is always there for my anxiety attacks, to both prevent and overcome them, but she also has anxiety of her own that we manage. She also has a chronic thickening of her bladder walls, which makes her have UTIs, bladder infections, and other problems. We want to get her into Clearfield Veterinary Clinic ASAP since she's now peeing blood. Kari is my ESA. She's always by my side so I put a cat bed on my desk to make her comfy and she always has to sleep between my legs at night. She MUST be in the bathroom with you and will beg for water fresh from the faucet, but only if it touches your hands, too. If you just turn it on, she won't touch it. Kari must be in EVERYTHING you do. She's the center of attention and the class clown! My husband and I are on Disability and SNAP. With the government shut down we struggled to have money to eat since SNAP wasn't paid out. We could barely afford food with the other bills and had to let some bills go unpaid to be able to eat and are trying to catch up on them.

Hank is an Australian labradoodle that came into my life almost 13 years ago as my second service dog. After a battle with cancer he was retired at 10 years old. He now lives a quiet life resting at home with his furry brothers and sisters. He is my entire world. Hank has had a relatively healthy life up until he was just shy of 10 when he has a large cancerous mass removed on his back and a small tumor removed on his foot that was also removed. But within the last few years he has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis from his years of working, severe reflux and the beginning stages of a collapsed trachea. He is currently a patient at Jarrettsville Vet. Hank and I have an incredible bond being as he was and will always be my service dog and we are glued at the hip. He absolutely loves his large stuffies that he lugs around everywhere. He loves going in the car to go get pup cups. He was also featured in the newspaper for giving me my sedation medication for one of my surgeries. I am fully disabled and unable to work so the financial responsibility falls onto my parents which is sometimes very difficult. My mom is currently in between jobs so our income has decreased. Hank will never be my young guy again but I just want to make him comfortable.

Sweet Dora’s story began outside a yoga studio in West Palm Beach, where she was spotted by a kind patron who couldn’t ignore the gentle senior cat lingering nearby. No one knows how long Dora had been living on the streets or what she endured—but it was clear she once belonged to someone. She’s friendly, affectionate, and loves people, the kind of cat who’s used to curling up on a couch, not searching for scraps on the sidewalk. When Dora came into our care, we immediately took her to our veterinarian for a full senior exam and blood panel. Because she’s older, we wanted to make sure nothing serious was hiding beneath her calm demeanor. Dora also showed signs of a urinary issue, which our vet determined was due to inflammation and stress—likely from being lost and scared for so long. She’s now receiving treatment, love, and comfort from our volunteers while we await her lab results. Once we know more, we’ll make sure Dora gets every bit of care she needs to live out her golden years in peace and safety. Your support will help cover Dora’s vet exam, lab work, treatment for her urinary issue, and follow-up care as we learn more about her health. Lucky Deserves a Second Chance After Unthinkable Cruelty

Lucky’s life on the streets of Miami was already difficult—but then tragedy struck. When a trapper found him for TNVR, they were horrified to see the skin on his forehead peeling away from what appears to be an acid burn. Whether this was accidental or deliberate, we may never know. What we do know is that Lucky has suffered far too much. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club immediately stepped in to give Lucky the chance he deserves. Right now, he is being held at the vet for intensive, around-the-clock care to clean the wound, manage his pain, and prevent infection. Once he’s stable enough, he will move to a foster home where he can continue his recovery in a calmer environment. At the moment, Lucky is fractious and scared. But it’s important to remember—he’s also in tremendous pain, confined, and undergoing treatment. With time, healing, and compassion, we believe he’ll show us who he truly is under the fear and trauma. Pumpkin’s Rescue Club is a very small rescue, and Lucky’s medical bills are already adding up. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in covering the cost of his vet care, medications, and recovery support. ** Update 10/11/25** Lucky continues to show incredible resilience as he heals from the acid burns on his head. Thanks to his dedicated foster family, he’s receiving his daily medications and wound care — no small task for a cat who’s still learning to trust people. His wound is healing beautifully and scabbing over just as the vet hoped. The vet says that as long as it continues to heal like this, Lucky won’t need to return for more check-ups, sparing him the stress of those trips back and forth. Every day, Lucky grows a little stronger and a little braver. His recovery is a testament to love, patience, and community support. Thank you to everyone who’s been cheering Lucky on — your kindness continues to make his healing possible. Update 10/21/25 We have such encouraging news to share—Lucky is healing beautifully! His once red and raw wounds have now scabbed over, and we’re even seeing little patches of fur starting to grow back. It’s amazing what time, care, and compassion can do. While Lucky is still understandably nervous around people, he’s tolerated all of his treatments like a true fighter, as if he knows we’re trying to help him. Each day he grows a little stronger, and we’re so proud of the progress he’s made. He only needs one final vet check to make sure everything is fully healed. Little Einstein is in Dire Need of Funding for FIP Treatment.

Sweet Little Einstein was rescued on Molokaʻi a few months ago, dangerously ill with a fever of 106.8°F. With no vet on island, we fought to stabilize him around the clock and miraculously, he pulled through. He recently flew to our Oʻahu foster team for continued care, but suddenly spiked another high fever. Rushed to WWPH Emergency Vet Hospital, his bloodwork confirmed wet and ocular FIP. If you’ve never seen ocular FIP, the change in the eyes is heartbreaking. His pupils shifted drastically overnight. Einstein is now weak, lethargic, not eating, and has fluid buildup in his abdomen. His foster and vet team are doing everything possible to stabilize him and keep him comfortable, but he urgently needs the full 84-day FIP treatment and continued critical care. We already have two other FIP kittens in treatment, and the combined cost of meds and vet bills now exceeds $2,500. We cannot do this alone. Every donation brings him one step closer to recovery and a chance at the happy, healthy life he deserves. We are so grateful for your love and support of the most vulnerable kitties in Hawaii. Meet Street — A Tough, Gentle Soul Fighting His Way Back

Rescuers from Cat and Release of Palm Beach County found a colony cat in urgent need of help. He was limping toward them, exhausted, with a deep, nasty head wound that no animal should ever have to endure alone. Despite his pain, he leaned into their hands. He wanted help. He trusted them. At the vet, they needed a name to get him checked in… and in that moment of stress and worry, he became Street — a simple name for a cat who had survived so much out there on his own. Street’s wound required immediate medical attention, and without treatment he likely wouldn’t have made it. Infection, dehydration, and the trauma he’d suffered had already taken a toll. But Street fought. And the rescuers fought for him. Now, Street is safe — but his journey to full healing isn’t over. Cat and Release of Palm Beach County is 100% volunteer-run, and emergency medical cases like Street stretch already-thin budgets to the breaking point. I received my pet from a friend, he is a year and a half so I have had him majority of that time. I live paycheck to paycheck currently (as well as everyone else in the world currently) so all my money goes to bills/rent. I have not savings. I really appreciate anything anyone can do to help him. He has been suffering from uti symptoms/possible blockage. The money is going towards initial exam, urine analysis/sample, X-rays, medication and possible blockage removal. The hospital he is currently at is Hulin Veterinary Hospital in Thomasville, NC. When getting Casper I also adopted his brother as well. They are the closest things in the world and him being at the vet is the first time they have been separated since birth. Casper is special because he shows love and affection to everyone and he’s the sweetest boy. He has lots of cuddles and headbutts to offer. Like I said above, no emergency fund. Living paycheck to paycheck, barely can afford food for myself. I will always make sure I can provide for my animals though, even if I can’t do that for myself. This money will go towards making sure Casper lives a long and healthy life.
