Beni
Beni is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Alexander, NY, who needs $210 for Idexx Wellness, CBC/Chem27/SDMA, and Trazodone 100 mg.

I have autism and fibromyalgia, meaning I'm permanently disabled. My mom was appointed my rep payee when I was young, and she had complete financial control over me until just last year, when I was finally able to take charge of my own funds. I moved out, but had to leave my cats behind with her. I would like Fergus and Beni to join me in my new place as I work towards gaining more independence. Beni had FIP as a kitten. She was weak, didn't grow, and completely lost her eyesight for a while. She was in so much pain. I was able to get her treatment and she is now in remission, but something stressful like moving puts her at risk for relapse. She needs to be tested by Flint Veterinary to ensure she is well enough to handle it. FIP treatment is grueling and expensive, so prevention is best. Beni serves as my other cat Fergus's "emotional support animal" for his anxiety. Once she overcame her FIP, she blossomed into quite a character. She's very silly, and you can tell not much goes on in that brain of hers. She knows just what kind of attention Fergus or I need when we're having a tough time. Her antics always put a smile on my face and her snuggles recharge me like nothing else can I'm on a fixed income due to my disabilities. I also have debt from when my mom was handling my money. I pay for my cats to stay with my mom, so I will be able to afford their upkeep and routine visits. It's hard to save extra right now, but I need my cats safe at home.
Fergus

To get him an "emotional support animal" of his own- Beni! Beni has helped Fergus feel much less stressed in the house he is used to. To move him, he will need to be cleared by Flint Veterinary and given any necessary meds so he doesn't pick up old habits. Fergus and Beni have been my best friends for several years. The three of us have a bond unlike any other. We've cared for one another throughout our illnesses and disabilities, and being apart for so long has been tough on us all. Fergus is shy and puts on a "tough guy" act to scare off strangers- hiding under the couch and staring menacingly. Don't be fooled! To me he's a big, sweet, softie. Chaz
Chaz is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in Tacoma, WA, who needs $700 for Enucleation.

This is my best friend Chaz. He's the bestest Papa. He loves belly, chin and nose rubs. He greets me at the door every time I come home (it's probably for food, let's be real) sleeps with me every night and loves to be held and cuddled by any and everybody. He has 2 other fur friends (Snickers the dog and Cece the cat) and a momma who is desperate to keep him around! Chaz is in desperate need of an Enucleation (eye removal). The cost is approximately $1,200-$1,500 depending on difficulty of the procedure and after care (pain meds, follow up visits, etc. Who doesn't love this cat? He's so quirky, inquisitive and curious about everything around him. Even Cece (the cat who only likes my daughter) tolerates him and our dog Snickers loves him. I can't imagine him not being at the front door when I get home or begging for teriyaki chicken. He truly is one of a kind! I have been trying to save up for this surgery for a while now but unexpected car issues amongst other emergencies has depleted the "pirate" kitty fund.
Nikki
Nikki is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Clio, MI, who needs $435 for Bloodwork, X-rays, and Heartworm Test.

I was at a low point in my life and I thought I needed a dog to love. I fell in love with nikki at first sight. The day I bought nikki she was so scared, I put her in bed with me. When I woke, she was staring at me, about 4 inches away from my face. I laughed and she jumped all over me and gave me kisses. That was instant bonding for both of us. Recently she starting panting and coughing non stop. I took her to the vets for this and he put her on cough meds, liquid gabepentin for arthritis and antibiotics for respiratory infection. The vet wants to run tests that will cost between 400.00 and 500.00. Without these test they can't properly diagnose her. It breaks my heart when she goes into her coughing and heavy panting spells. Nikki is so loving and gentle. She loves to growl and act ferocious with the kids and then gives them kisses. She has brought so much happiness and love to me, I feel as if she's my child. We have to limit her play time because it puts her into coughing spells. She is my protector and snugglebunny. She never leaves my side. I am on social security and I do not make enough money to have the test done. It breaks my heart to see her go through this. Nikki is a certified emotional support dog and goes everywhere with me. Nikki goes to Flint Animal Hospital.
Nugget
Dumped & Abandoned: Please Help Sweet Nugget

Little Nugget was dumped, literally, in the middle of the night at a local shelter. When her stray hold was up and no one came for her, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue took her into their sanctuary. Understandably, she's fearful of most humans, but she formed an immediate bond with her "mommy caretaker" and is happy to be held and carried around all day. Nugget came to them in heat, and she's started exhibiting some abnormalities with her estrus cycle and needs to be spayed soon to prevent any further complications. Madison Vet Hospital is treating Nugget. This little 16-pound "nugget" is finding her courage. She's quiet and sweet and gets so excited when her "mommy caretaker" walks into her room. She's yet to bark and likes to chew on nylabones. She's still learning about living in a house and going potty outside, but she'll get the hang of it eventually. As a registered nonprofit animal sanctuary and hospice, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for vet bills and medical care. They have been able to raise money for Nugget's lab tests, but they need help to pay for her surgery. Will you please help little Nugget and this rescue continue to help as many animals as possible? Frankenstein
Tiny but Mighty: Help Little Puppy Frankenstein Fight

At just five weeks old, Frankenstein was being given away for free at a gas station, a tiny, broken puppy with nowhere safe to go. One of Purrfectly Wonky Animal Rescue’s volunteers happened to be there and scooped him up without hesitation. Covered in fleas, dangerously dehydrated, anemic, and suffering from a ruptured eye, Frankenstein had barely begun life, and already it had been cruel to him. He was rushed to the vet where treatment began immediately—flea baths, dewormers, fluids, and eye medications to ease his pain. While he's responding well to care, his eye is too damaged to save. Frankenstein will need an eye enucleation once he's strong enough for surgery. Even with everything he's faced, this little guy greets every new day with tail wags and cautious hope. Frankenstein's journey is just beginning. He’s still tiny and healing, but his spirit shines through the hardship. He’s playful when he has the energy, loves curling up in warm blankets, and leans into every gentle hand that reaches for him. With continued medical care, love, and time, Frank has a real chance at a happy, healthy life where he can finally just be a puppy. Purrfectly Wonky Animal Rescue is working hard to cover Frankenstein’s climbing vet bills for his upcoming surgery and medical needs. Update 05/15 Frankenstein Update: Now with 100% less eyeball and 0% chance of fatherhood! That’s right—Frank had his eye removed AND got neutered yesterday, and he absolutely rocked it! No complications, and he’s already back to his charming, one-eyed, cone-wearing self. He’s currently lounging like a king on pain meds, anti-inflammatories, and antibiotics—basically living the spa life (minus the cucumber eye treatment… for obvious reasons). Once he's healed up, Frank will be ready for his next big adventure—finding his forever home!
Bean

Bean came into my life after my other chihuahua passed away. It was an extremely difficult time and my ex husband now got Bean for me when I wasn’t quite ready for a new dog. It didn’t take long for this little guy to wiggle right into my heart. He has seen me through my divorce and the extreme loss of my daughter. If not for Bean I would honestly not have had a reason to go on. He is my world my! Bean has been exceptionally healthy only having a few problems until now. Unfortunately after my divorce lost everything and had to move back home and in with my brother. Bean is coughing really bad and needs to see the vet and with no income that’s impossible. I can’t stress enough how much this guy means to me I would gladly trade places with him any day. Waiting on ssi approval for income. Bean loves going for longer than I can usually handle walks lol. He loves to play with the cats or Georgie my brothers dog. She’s a big girl but she’s gentle with Bean. I am a female however Bean really really loves men doesn’t matter if they are familiar to him or not he loves them and begs for there attention. He’s a special boy I can’t even name all the ways that make him special. I lost everything and had to move back home with brother. Bean has been the one constant in my life seeing me through some dark times and I feel as if I’m failing him now. Waiting to be approved for ssi disability at the moment so I have no income. That is breaking my heart.
Poseidon
Poseidon Returned Against All Odds—Now Let’s Help Him Heal

Poseidon was found curled in the grass near a bus stop on the Kāneʻohe Marine base, starving, weak, and too scared to come close. Someone began bringing food, earning his trust over days. When he was finally brought to the vet, the team scanned his microchip and discovered he was one of Rescue Kitties of Hawai‘i’s own, so they immediately stepped in to help Poseidon once again. He was severely dehydrated and dangerously thin, requiring slow refeeding to avoid complications. Covered in fleas and parasites, Poseidon also had a painful mouth infection and severe dental disease. The vet confirmed he needed full-mouth extractions. No one knows how he traveled so far, but his return felt like fate. He had made it back to the rescue that once saved him, and they are committed to helping him again. Now safe in foster care, Poseidon is eating well, gaining weight, and showing his gentle personality. He purrs through treatments and seeks out affection, but his mouth still causes him pain. His dental surgery is scheduled for July 1. After surviving the streets and somehow finding his way back, he deserves comfort, safety, and a second chance that truly lasts. Rescue Kitties of Hawai‘i is covering Poseidon’s care, but support is needed for his upcoming dental surgery and recovery. Help honor his incredible journey and give him the pain-free life he’s been trying so hard to reach. Update 06/25 Poseidon has his dental upcoming in a few days! Rescue Kitties of Hawaii are continuously monitoring him to ensure his pain is kept to a minimum until his procedure. Update 07/01 Poseidon was scheduled for his dental today, but the vet found he’s still congested—even after a month on antibiotics. He now urgently needs to go to the vet to rule out pneumonia. Help Candy Find the Sweet Life She Deserves

Candy’s life almost ended before it even had the chance to begin. At just two months old, she was thrown away like trash and left to suffer in a dumpster in the heat. She was very sick and completely helpless. Somebody found Candy and brought her to the shelter, but when staff realized she had canine papilloma virus, her future was once again at risk. The shelter had no choice. If they could not find rescue placement, they planned to euthanize Candy to stop the spread of the virus. Canine papilloma virus (CPV) is contagious and causes painful sores in young puppies with weak immune systems. Saving Hope Rescue couldn’t let her story end that way. They stepped in, rushed her to the vet, and made a promise: Candy would be given a second chance. Today, Candy is in veterinary care, fighting to get stronger every day. She’s already had her first bath, is showing signs of appetite, and has a growing spark in her eyes. It will take time, patience, and resources, but Candy’s spirit is undeniable. She’s ready to heal and she’s ready for happiness ahead. Candy’s medical care will be intensive and costly, but she’s worth every effort.
