Mieko

Mieko came into our life by seeing her posted on line, we immediately fell in love, and took her in as a rescue! She immediately became a big part of our family. Mieko got her name from a favorite video game character, but also has a few nicknames as well, like Mieks and Mieko Dieko! She is definitely the little princess in the family. Mieko has always been a wild child, full of life, but in the past couple months we’ve been noticing major changes in her. Sometimes it’s lack of energy, some days she can’t go to the bathroom, having trouble getting on the furniture or getting into the car for car rides, so that’s when we knew something is going on. That’s when we took her in for a check up, when we learned of her condition. Mieko plays such a huge part in our life, she goes everywhere with us. She loves swimming, going on adventures in our woods, cuddling and belly rubs, loves the snow, playing fetch, watching over her chicken sisters, and driving the cat nuts! She just loves us and life so much, and is just the best dog, even when she doesn’t listen haha! So I’ve been off work for over a year with a severe back injury, so we’ve been living off one income. So paying for the Analsacculectomy Surgery will be very difficult, priced out at around 2 grand. Her anal glands are positioned wrong in her, so they are always infected.
Oliver
Oliver is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Trinity, NC, who needs $305 for Dental Extraction, Cleaning and Exam.

I first noticed Oliver (he was a stray) in February. Then again a few months later. I knew I wanted to keep him at that time. He is mostly an outside cat as he doesn't like to stay inside for long at this time. Oliver allowed me to inspect him while he was eating. He was scary skinny & his beautiful tail was matted. He was eating quite slow, which I thought was unusual. When Oliver laid down I checked his mouth. There are several rotted teeth and some infected gums. We took him to the vet to get him neutered & was told about his next steps for full health. Vet: Humane Society of the Piedmont Oliver is such an unusual cat! He's very friendly and so gentle! I have two special needs and one elderly cat. He doesn't hiss at them at all. He basically ignores them, except for one of the special needs cats. They like to sniff each other! Oliver has been through so much. There are several scars on his little body. He is so brave! I have fallen head over heels in love with him! My husband and I were able to get him neutered. With 3 other cats (two are special needs) and a semi-expensive kibble diet (due to one cat having an extremely sensitive tummy) we are reaching out for help for this unique, special fur baby.
Zuzu
Zuzu is a 2 month old Poodle in Oakland, NJ, who needs $2,000 for deadly Parvo-virus.

Zuzu is eating and brighter after a plasma transfusion…but our sweet girl has a long way to go! Zuzu, a 9-week-old Cockapoo is riding the awful roller coaster that is parvo. She was surrendered in critical condition and remains extremely fragile. This deadly virus attacks the gastrointestinal tract of dogs, damaging the intestinal lining, causing blood and protein to leak, potentially leading to sepsis, anemia, infection and a severe drop in white blood cells. Parvo is as awful as it sounds. New treatment options have given dogs a fighting chance against this often fatal disease, and we are so grateful to you for allowing us to provide Zuzu with the best medical treatments. Given Zuzu’s petite size and young age, she requires aggressive treatments and extended hospitalization. Her protein and phosphorus are dangerously low and her white blood cells are non-existent. With her first blood transfusion, she has brightened up slightly and begun to eat, but still remains quiet and lethargic. It will take time for her body to build up strength. Please share! The goal now is to stabilize Zuzu. Please also consider a donation towards Zuzu’s hospitalization as she continues to fight, heal and start a new life! When others have failed Zuzu, you are her hope!

Meet Merv, our half pound miracle - he needs your help! We are at the point in kitten season when funds from our medical fund have dwindled, but the desperate calls for help have not. Merv came to us at only HALF of a pound, critically ill, covered in fleas and underweight at 6-weeks-old. He was found outside and surrendered to local animal control, where we quickly stepped in to save him. With a severe respiratory infection and emaciated, it is a true wonder that Merv survived. He received immediate medical care, including fluids, heat support and antibiotics. Merv went home with our cat kennel manager, as he was unable to eat on his own and needed round the clock feedings. This is the true dedication of our team at RBARI. At a time when cat rescues are overflowing, funds are depleted, temperatures are dropping at night and rescuers are exhausted, we must continue on strong. Together, we can show Merv, and so many other kittens in need, that we are still here for them. We know kitten season is not over until the last kitten is rescued. He came into our lives when he was just 8 weeks old, he is now 3 years old. He is a sweet boy we love him very much. He lives with us a several other kitty siblings. He has been having chronic utis, He has been on antibiotics twice and has a uti again. I worry he could potentially be blocking again and would like to have him fully checked out starting with an exam and probably urine analysis and antibiotics. He is the sweetest boy,We love him so much. He loves to snuggle and is a huge part of our family. without him we would be completely lost. He loves to snuggle and get snackies. Times are extremely rough right now, we have had medical issue after medical issue pop up for the cats and im still caring for quite a few that arent even ours. I would be so incredibly grateful for any help for our sweet boy!

Daisy is the love of my life. We came together at my daughter's house about 10 years ago when both of us had no where else to go. We bonded instantly. She felt the depression and sadness I was going through but she was not accepting that. She would do the silliest thing to make me laugh. She became my emotional support dog and we have been together ever since. We definitely have separation issues She has been seeing her special friends at Dr Burkes office at The Animal Wellness center.she just loves all the attention A little over a year ago she was diagnosed with liver issues and has to be on medication daily so her liver doesn't fail and I would lose her. Her medicine is almost $90 a month and I have been doing all I can to make sure she always has it Daisy has 3 feline friends. They are here kitties!! She is very loving and protective of them when they are all out side. They like to go on walks with us. Daisy has the whole family s heart everyone just loves her so she is very affectionate and insist on being right next to me and of course sleeps right next to me I am on disability and have always struggled to be able to afford her medicine but that's ok I will do anything for her The kids all help with her medicine as much as possible Lately I've been having some major health issues and I m getting overwhelmed and stressed about her

Prince Charles is a Maltipoo who truly is royalty in my house. He’s a spoiled pup who is fiercely loyal and loves me, his stuffed lamby, and watermelon Charles started struggling with movement, and within days, he couldn’t use his front leg. After an emergency vet visit, they recommended an MRI to check if it’s a slipped disc or possibly a brain tumor. The MRI and surgery will cost almost $11k from Nashville Veterinary Specialist + Animal Emergency Charles is a mama’s boy through and through. While most dogs run to greet new people, not Charles. He is happy to stay in my lap or by my side at all times. My family often jokes that they don’t know who has more separation anxiety - him or me. Charles is the light of my life and I would do anything for him. The sudden and expected extremely high cost truly shocked me. I couldn’t believe that assistance for my animal would be almost $11,000

Wembley Roo came into my life in October of 2021. I scrolled upon his picture on a Lost & Found pet page. He had been found in the street. Although I had followed lost pet pages for years, it was different this time. I immediately thought, "I'm can take care of him." I called for him and had to wait to see if he would be claimed. About a week later, he came home with me. My whole life changed! Wembley has been very healthy- just two breed-specific dental procedures. On 11/2/24, he had his annual check-up and did great! On 11/3/24, I woke up to Wembley having a grand mal seizure. We went to the ER vet, and he seemed to be doing much better. A week later he seemed to have another seizure or stroke. The neurologist is recommending an MRI. Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center. Wembley changed my life. I never thought I would have a dog of my own and tend to be very busy and focused on work. Wembley has given my life a new purpose. He has also impacted his other family members. He loves his Mimi, Gigi, "Friend" (my twin sister), and his cousin dogs. He says hello with a lick (aka a kissey), and protects us with his 14 lb stature and 3 remaining teeth! He is very special. Within that last 10 days, the vet bills have come to $1,840. I was prepared for initial ~$400 for his routine visit on 11/2, but did not expect these emergencies. I am working full time as and working an after-school program. I am open to a third job, but have limited time.

I began fostering Athena in CA. during Covid, I wound up adopting her because I didn’t feel comfortable giving her back to the person who I fostered thru who did not inform me that she had Asthma and wasn’t treating it. She was found on the streets of L.A. abandoned. Athena was a mess when I began fostering her and immediate opened up with me. We are bonded and in love♥️ Athena has had ongoing issues with her mouth as long as I’ve had her. She needs immediate c-rays and treatment to support her being able to eat comfortably without nagging pain during and after eating. We are currently at Banfield Pet Hospital in Milwaukie, Oregon. Athena is an extremely shy and sensitive cat, clearly traumatized by being abandoned and abused by the person that took her off the street-she was put in a tiny apartment with multiple other dogs and cats, had thyroid surgery and gave a blood transfusion to dave’s kittens life at the same time. She’s had most of her teeth removed. She is talkative, loving, caring and incredibly loyal/beautiful. I am currently unemployed and receiving the bare minimum in benefits.I am also dealing with some health issues myself due to living with 2 immune diagnosis. Athena is all I’ve got, it’s been extremely painful to watch her in so much discomfort all the time.
