Mama

I found Mama a few months ago on the road I live on. She was super skinny and in need of a home. I was nervous about taking her in, because I have never owned a cat but something about her made me fall in love. She is so gentle and sweet. We have one dog who loves her so much! Mama loves love! She loves any kind of affection and does so well with everyone in the house. Of course I’m her favorite! She clings to me like glue. Mama loves affection. She’s never but, scratched or been upset with any of us. She loves making biscuits on anything she can and drools when you give her love! Mama has an infection in her mammary gland that led to an abscess that ruptured on 9/4/23. It is so bad. I took her to Lakeland Animal clinic in Flowood Mississippi today 9/5/23. They doctored her wound, gave her a 14 day antibiotic shot and told me she will most likely need surgery to remove the nipple, or at the least close the wound up. I just had a baby in December, and currently work on weekends. My partner works during the week and does everything he can to make sure the bills and necessities are taken care of. I just desperately need help getting my girl the care she needs during all of this. Thank you!
Rocket

Rocket was a rescue that I got when he was a kitten, I’ve had him for six-7 years. He’s an only child, very sweet and so very spoiled. Everyone who meets him loves him, he will rub up on everyone and make friends with anyone who walks thru the door. He is my whole world. Rocket is my best friend. He is still warming up to my fiancé who moved in not long ago, but they are quickly becoming best pals too. For me he is my right hand man, he cuddles up to me every night and lays with me on the couch. Rocket is a Manx, so he was born with no tail. What makes rocket so special is that he is literally the sweetest cat anyone has ever met. The vets at the ER told us to surrender him to get him the help he needs and when he would go for adoption they would try to get him because he’s just a sweet heart. Rocket got tangled in the blinds while we were at work and he broke his leg. It needs to be amputated, but it will cost $3,300. He would be going to the East Springs Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is just a week after we lost his brother. We both work good jobs but don’t have the extra money to foot this bill. I lost his brother a week ago and I do not want to lose this one. He is my world.
Nadia

Nadia desperately needs our help. This poor girl was brought into the shelter, looking almost unrecognizable due to her breed and age being obscured by her poor condition. She was likely discarded when she was no longer needed for breeding. Nadia's emaciated body looks like she's 15 years old instead of the vibrant pup she should be. Her fur is patchy and missing, and her skin is red and irritated from all the fleas crawling around her body. Her nails are overgrown and painful, making it difficult for her to walk or even stand properly. Worst of all, Nadia may be suffering from entropion, which can cause blindness if left untreated. No living creature deserves to suffer like this, especially not one as kind and innocent as Nadia. Nadia needs medical care and lots of TLC to help her feel better. Shark

Shark lives with me, a mid-20 year old graduate student who rescued with hopes to give him a better life. No one else wanted Shark and I am doing my best to do right by him and provide him with the best life that I can. Shark and I live in an apartment together so it’s easier for him, and he sleeps with his “shark blanket” every night! Shark loves to sleep on his back with all his paws in the air like the goofball that he is. He loves rope toys and playing fetch, he has fun splashing around at dog beach when we visit California, he will never turn down a pup cup, and above all, he LOVES people and other animals. He is a very friendly and social dog that wants to be everyone’s buddy and give them all the kisses he has. Shark is special because he’s survived so much and still has the sweetest personality. He is beloved by all and loves people, other animals, and babies. Despite his previous owner suffering a gunshot wound and Shark being beaten badly by the attackers, hip surgery, numerous healed fractures, beating Valley fever, and now an eye tumor, Shark is a happy boy who I am trying to do right by. Shark has a laundry list of medical conditions, but his upcoming surgery is to remove a tumor on his eyelid. He is being treated at eye care hospital for animals, and they did their best to give me a student rate, but even with that, it’s difficult. After the lesion is removed, he’ll be on steroids and antibiotics post-op, and hopefully, that should get him back to his tail wagging self! I am a graduate student in a medical program. I rescued Shark because I wanted to give him a better life, but I am taking out student loans for my education. I do work study to help pay for my education/living needs and Shark, but this surgery is more than I can afford.
Cheeto
Cheeto is a 1-year-old Orange Tabby Cat in Muscoda, WI, who needs $300 for Vaccines and Neuter.

Cheeto was given to me as a birthday present from my fiance. My fiance passed away a couple months ago and because I've had to say goodbye to pets in the past I decided that no matter what, I'm not giving Cheeto up and will do whatever I need to do to keep him. He has never had vaccinations and nearly 5 months ago he developed a problem where his balance is off and he shakes his head alot. Cheeto is great with everyone and other animals as well. I had to move back in with my Mom and she has 2 female cats and a male and female dog. Cheeto likes to go outside occasionally and likes when the other cats play with him. He is a goof. He is so resilient and kind hearted. He loves sliding around on the kitchen floor playing or eating catnip. I underestimate how strong he is sometimes, he often falls but gets right back up!! He hasn't had vaccines. Will probably require labs, and possibly medication to treat whatever makes him unbalanced. And ultimately I would love to be able to get him neutered. When my fiance passed away I had no choice but to move again and start over. I don't have a car and owe $ because prior to the move i couldn't find a job. I'm working a part time job but it hardly covers bills. Cheeto deserves vet care, he's amazing. I'd be lost without him too

The rescuers who discovered this poor senior boy couldn't believe their eyes. "It seemed like a miracle he was still breathing. How could someone let such a sweet soul endure so much suffering?" His rescuers raced him to the animal hospital, where the veterinary team found Clancy was saved in the nick of time! "He was extremely dehydrated, anemic, and weak," Heather says. "He tested positive for Lyme disease and Ehrlichia, which explains why he struggles to walk. X-rays also revealed a fractured jaw from being shot in the face." Though Clancy was thrown out and left to die, he still shows so much trust. "Clancy still wags his tail and gives unconditional love to humans," Heather adds. "Now, in his golden years, he deserves love, care, and comfort." Bo
Bo is a 1-year-old Mix in Vietnam who needs $410 for Mange Mites.

Rescued from the scorching streets of Central Vietnam, Bo was discovered by a compassionate stranger who knew that her life needed saving. They brought her to Paws for Compassion, where she could receive urgent medical care. Bo is currently battling mange mites. A treatable condition that should never be allowed to reach this severe state. Her weakened immunity, open wounds, and infection could have sadly become too much for her little body, leading to death. "It breaks our hearts to see her malnourished and weak, but with each day, she is making amazing improvements daily," Dom T., co-founder of Paws, tells their supporters. Bo is incredibly uncomfortable from the painful sores and itchiness the mange mites have caused but is already on the road to recovery with the right care. "We know that with our love and care, Bo will blossom into a confident and playful pup who will one day have her own family." We’ve had cake for about a 8 months - 10 months now. She was dropped on the step at our local PETCO, in a carrier with a trash bag covering it. So, Lou called me and said he was bringing her home. When we got to the store she was crying in the cage, and when I opened it I realized she had thumbs! She is a poly. He decided on the name cake, after an adventure time character 🩵 She is a sweetheart! We got her a friend just to help keep her occupied because she kept getting bored but refused toys, 🤣, typical. She and her play like there’s no tomorrow. She even rained her to drink from the ‘corner’ of the water dish, and how to walk like a supermodel. She has thumbs! I know polys aren’t rare but come on, A FEMALE ORANGE ONE WITH THUMBS? she isn’t a talker or much of anything, she just lays in awkward spots and stares at people 😂 she’s not very affectionate, but when she is her purr is beautiful. She gets excited over looking out of window, loves going on car rides and leash walks. At around 11:30 PM on August 15th, 2023, cake had jumped up on the bed and I noticed her breathing was weird and her mouth was open. After an hour of watching and concerned, we rushed her to the emergency veterinarian. After four hours and three X-rays later, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and feline asthma. She will be on medication for life. This was definitely a sudden change with no money, the vet was amazing and helped up keep the total within budget of $700. If we can afford to keep her medication, it will make Lou so happy. This is his little baby, the one cat that he’s actually been able to keep, in a way.
Finley

Now he's at VCA in Miami, fighting for his life around the clock. Unfortunately, Finley is severely emaciated and dehydrated - which has caused his eyes to sink in and his ribs to protrude from his body. His body score is only between one and two - zero, being unable to survive. Several diagnostics have been done, including finding former trauma to his hip/pelvis area. It's heartbreaking to see him in this condition. "He's barely surviving, but he's still giving kisses to staff. He's such a sweet little guy! We cannot imagine what this dog has been through," Sarah sadly tells The Pittie Party of Central Florida, supporter. "The owner surrendered him to the county shelter. We do not know yet if an investigation is being done. The owner stated that Finley hasn’t received healthcare after being questioned by officers." The Pittie Party rescue desperately needs funding to keep Finley going.
