Oreo, a sweet puppy farm rescue; climbed into my sons arms and right into his heart. And just like his boy? Oreo is very sassy, mischievous and absolutely adorable. He is the final glue piece to our home Oreo has a boy, Zaidyn. Whom he loves very much, and Zaidyn loves him back. He is also a mamas boy and is attached to my hip when his boy isn’t (and sometimes is) home. He’s very playful, smart (i taught him sit, both paw shakes, lay down) by the time he was 7 months old. However; he’s not the brightest when it comes to getting into things he shouldn’t be… He loves fetch, jumping high for any toys. He’s a spoiled boy who gets all the good boy treats! When he doesn’t get his way; he coos like Chewbacca… lol he keeps us laughing by just looking at us. He’s verrrrry cute; especially when he wants out of his crate? He puts his mouth on the door and his teeth show like he’s trying to woo us by smiling lol Like i said; Oreo doesn’t always know better when he gets into things… he got into the trash into.. well. Some used tampons… i feel awful… he ate them.. and now he’s blocked up. He’s at Oviedo veterinary care and emergency. I don’t know the treating vet because it’s an emergency 24 hour care. The bill is climbing higher and higher. I can’t afford any of this. We can’t. Even family pulling together we only have half of what’s needed. My boy went to sleep crying tonight. I’ve been a mess all day.. we miss our buddy. We just want him ok!!😞
Princess

Almost three years ago my life turned upside down. Difficult life circumstances and challenges caused me to joke with friends about getting a dog.. my friends would tell me to get a Tibetan Mastiff for my protection. The joke turned into reality when princess was in need of a home, all her siblings found a home and she was still waiting to find a family. The universe made the decision for us. Princess is a goofy, loving, caring, and sometimes stubborn pup. She loves to protect her house and family no matter what it takes. She enjoys playing with other dogs, playing soccer, going on car rides, or snuggling with her family. She prefers her water with ice cubes, and her food needs to be fresh; otherwise, she would rather starve than eat. Princess got her name before she moved to VA. Initially, I was planning on changing her name, but when she arrived, the name Princess started to make total sense. She is sassy and really set in her own ways. She doesn't trust strangers, but once she lets you in, you will have a loyal friend forever. She has many dog friends at the dog park, and she is known for her flips and rolls. Princess tore a ligament in her knee and the only way for her to get better is to get surgery. She was seen at Pender veterinary and got an X-ray, which confirmed the ligament tear. We had many life challenges lately including my own health issues, which already put us in a tight financial position. Her accident was unexpected and is not covered by insurance. The expenses are high and we can’t delay the surgery to save up.
Toby
Toby is a 6-year-old West Highland Terrier in Newton , MA, who needs $2,000 for Radiotherapy Post Amputation.

Toby came to my life 6 yrs ago, as an anniversary present from my husband. It has been the best gift I have received in my life. We were not able to have kids, so Toby is my world. He is very spoiled by my parents and brothers, and he loves to watch TV, eat cheese and play with other dogs at the park. Toby sleeps with us in our bedroom, half a night with us then the other half he goes to his bed next to my bed. Like most dogs, he enjoys being with someone and not alone, so I get to work from home and spend time with him. He loves to go out, anywhere he doesn't really care, he just cares about going on car rides with us all the time. Toby is very special to me, he has been with me in my worst moments and if it weren't for him, I wouldn't know where I would be today. He was with me when I got diagnosed with CKD stage 3 in 2017, he was with me when i lost my job in 2018, he was with me when I separated from my husband in 2018 and with me during covid pandemic in 2020, SO, I feel super attached to him in every way. Toby was diagnosed with sarcoma in his limb (peripheral nerve sheath tumor) AND on the roots of his spinal cord. He had his back limb amputated and also had a semi pelvectomy. The oncologist said Radiotherapy was a great option for Toby, to make sure all the microscopic cancer cells disappear. MSCPA Angell in Boston is his hospital. I have spent around $25.000 in credit cards just to have him a few more years with me. I beg God to let me " borrow" him for a few more years, he is my only fur baby. The veterinary costs are so high, but I am willing to sacrifice everything so I can enjoy our life together.
Fletcher
Fletcher is a 10-month-old Pitbull, Boxer Mix in Burns, TN, who needs $160 for Emergency Care.

Fletcher was found in a ditch, alone and abandoned. His poor body was severely damaged, with an extreme curve where his spine should have been straight and compressed discs from a potential birth defect. His leg is also injured and believed to be from a vehicle accident. Fortunately, Dickson Animal Control recognized Fletcher's urgent need for help and reached out to us at Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue. The rescue took action quickly to get sweet Fletcher the necessary veterinary care. It broke everyone's hearts to think he might have been dumped because of his deformity. Fletcher is full of love and affection. He's gentle and affectionate, always eager for attention and cuddles. He is now in a foster home and getting exceptional care, including water therapy in a pool. Can you help Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue with his veterinary bills? Edith
Edith is a 2-month-old Mix in Burns, TN, who needs $3,575 for Surgery for Hydrocephalus.

Edith was rescued by Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue from a very poor community where there were no local rescues to save her and 18 other puppies. Sadly, Edith has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a congenital disease that causes an excess of cerebrospinal fluid in the skull leading to brain swelling. Without treatment, this condition can cause severe brain damage or even death. Edith lives in a foster home with experienced caregivers doing everything possible to make her comfortable. Although she sleeps a lot due to hydrocephalus, she still manages to play with her sibling and wag her tail when given attention. To give this precious pup a chance at a better life, surgery is necessary to drain the fluid. Edith is just eight weeks old and deserves every chance she can get. Panini
Panini is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in Huntington, WV, who needs $1,300 for emergency care.

Three dogs attacked Panini after she wandered into the wrong place at the wrong time. Now, she's fighting for her life and needs your help. "She was a stray cat and had a terrifying experience when she walked into a fenced-in yard," Heather A., with One By One Animal Advocates, tells Waggle. The dogs' guardians heard the commotion and quickly intervened to stop the attack, saving Panini from further harm. Then they rushed her to the animal hospital but could not afford her emergency care. The clinic asked One by One Animal Advocates to rescue Panini, and the nonprofit group couldn't say no to such a sweet kitty with such a sad story. Panini was in shock and needed IV fluids. The veterinary team sedated her so they could care for her wounds, including a leg injury so severe she lost all the skin on the limb. "Amputation would be the quickest solution, but we are determined to save Panini's leg," Heather says. "She's receiving wound care and laser therapy, which helps stimulate healing, plus antibiotics and pain medicine to keep her comfortable." This kitty is shaping up to be a loving companion once she heals. "Panini is so affectionate and grateful for every meal and loves being pet," Heather says. "Your support towards her medical care is much appreciated. Thank you!"
Chance
Chance is a one-month-old Domestic Shorthair kitten in Marshall, TX, who needs $700 for urgent care.

Chance limped along a searing asphalt parking lot, baking in the Texas sun alone and in pain. His rescuers discovered his entire backside was an open, gaping, oozing, infected wound. They rushed him to the animal hospital, and now he urgently needs your help. "We don't know what happened to Chance, whether it's a case of cruelty or an accident," Linda H., with the Friends of Marshall Animals, tells Waggle. Chance's veterinary team is treating him with antibiotics, painkillers, and fluorescent and ultraviolet light to speed his healing. He's living in a foster home and receiving treatment three times a week. "Despite everything, he's affectionate and craves attention," Linda says. "Unlike most kitties, he loves a belly rub, even if he can't put himself fully on his back to get it. He shows every sign of being the sweet and curious kitten one would expect." The nonprofit group hopes you will give so Chance can heal and have a family of his own one day -- leaving this traumatic experience in the rearview mirror! "We work closely with our municipal shelter, taking ill and injured dogs and cats that need extra care and time that the shelter cannot provide," Linda says. "Given his "chance," Chance will make a great companion."

How long had the poor pup lived with a hideous, cancerous, painful tumor nearly the size of a softball growing from his mouth? The growth is so massive Modo can barely eat! He has slowly starved and become emaciated. Mutt Misfits Society discovered Modo suffering in an animal shelter. They immediately raced him to an emergency animal hospital. Modo's veterinary team biopsied the tumor and sent it to pathology. They are creating a game plan for his surgery and care. The main priority is stabilizing Modo's fragile condition and ensuring he receives proper pain relief during his challenging journey. "It's clear that Modo is in rough shape beyond just the physical pain of the enormous mass on his face," Shyloh B., from Mutt Misfits Society, tells Waggle. Reba

Reba is very special to the owner. Reba is very loving, loyal and gentle with both people and other animals. Her owner stated that she is her constant and only companion. And is trying to do everything possible for them right now. Not only are they having to deal with Reba being sick and requiring hospitalization, but they have lost everything at home. Reba is a happy dog. She loves her family and is very loyal. Despise being hurt and requiring medical care, she still wants to check in on her family to make sure that they are okay. Reba likes everyone, humans and other animals. Reba has been given a guarded prognosis but she is a fighter and we are all hoping she can pull through this! Reba and her owner's house burned down on Monday night. Reba was found unresponsive and had to be revived by the fire department. Reba is what woke the owner up during the middle of the night to let her know that the house was on fire. She saved her owners life! Not only is she her companion she is her guard dog! Reba is very special to the owner. Since being found in the housefire, Reba has required medical treatment. She has been coughing a lot. Today she started having blood in her water bowl. Her owner rushed her to the veterinary emergency hospital for around the clock care. Reba is requiring hospitalization for the next 2-3 days, supplemental oxygen support, IV fluids, and medical management. Reba and her owner just lost everything in their house fire the other night. They are going to have to figure out everything and rebuild from here. Her family needs her to get better and back with them while they are trying to figure things out!
