Bailey

Bailey is a 13.5 year old Mix-Breed in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,500 for Supportive Care, Meds and Potential Ultrasound.

Colorado Springs, CO

Bailey is the sweetest rescue ever! We adopted her from the AARF foundation in 2013 when she was 1 year old and have had her this whole time. She is now 13.5 years old and a happy girl that loves car rides, cuddling with mommy and being with her family. She recently got sick with vomiting and after an expensive vet visit, she’s not eating, drinking, and won’t take her medicine anymore. I’m extremely worried about her, as this is the worst it has ever been but I cannot afford any more vet visits. I’m asking for your help to get her taken care of. God Bless! She loves cuddles. Does NOT know how to play with toys, yet she does zoomies and loves people! She’s a little timid at first but warms up to you quickly! She’s been my boys and I’s ESA since being divorced in 2013. I am finally recovering from ankle surgery but don’t have any money right now. My ex got approval from court to significantly reduce child support and I’m still not working like I was before. I’m still getting back on my feet—literally.

Koda

Koda is a 5 month old Mix-Breed in Pueblo, CO, who needs $4,000 for Emergency Exam and Possible Surgery.

Pueblo, CO

Koda is 5 months old. She was from a litter of puppies my daughters dog had. She was the last one left and we built a bond so I kept her. She was always the fiesty puppy always curious but so sweet and loving. She loves to lay with me and rests her head on my neck and hugs me with her front legs she loves to cuddle. We have her mother which is my daughter's dog and I have a schitzu named Milo. Koda is a 5 month old puppy who lives chewing on things which is how we got here. She ate a pencil and has been vomiting unable to keep anything down including water. She has been having some blood in her vomit. It is approx. 1000.00 just to go through testing and probably surgery after. She needs to get on IV fluid asap as she can't keep anything down. She is so friendly playful and loving. She loves people, kids and other dogs. She loves cuddling and giving love back. She is curious but deserves to have a chance at life she brings joy to me and my grandkids who she is very good with. Koda is only 5 months old and when feeling well full of life. I just had a huge expense with my other dog as he got attacked by a stray dog and has to have surgical intervention to remove his eye 2 months ago. I have to come up with 1000.00 just to figure out what is wrong.

Tecca

Tecca is a 10 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $500 for Exam and Antibiotics/Wound Care.

Colorado Springs, CO

Tecca was a rescue from a very rough home as a puppy here in Colorado. He is currently living with us in our camper doing the nomad thing and loving every second of it. Tecca had a cyst that was draining and healing on its own. We unfortunately had a run it with a not so friendly dog that was territorial over food and nipped at Tecca for getting too close. In the encounter his cyst was torn off which has caused a large wound on his leg. The wound itself is healing but he has an infection in his blood. His opposite paw has swollen and I know he needs meds at least Tecca is such an outstanding companion. He loves his family so much and all the snuggles he can get. He is an outdoorsmen and loves to go hiking, swimming, camping, and exploring. He is such a good boy and I wish there were for humans like him. We had to move out of state to help family which has left us creating a new life in a new state. My fiancé and I both had to leave our jobs and home behind. We have been hired at a camp but worry the money won't come in fast enough to save him. He is our family's rock.

Lulu

Lulu is a 1 year old Bombay in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $850 for Lower Urinary Tract Disease.

Colorado Springs, CO

chipped, and vaccinated, and have her tooth fixed very soon, and most likely will require other care we are not yet aware of. All of which will add up to being very costly, very quickly. We are able and willing to take on these costs, although it will be difficult for us in these first few months, especially with the holidays approaching. We don't have any background information but we did take her to Animal ER Care and she was diagnosed with feline lower urinary tract disease (flutd) there. We have an appointment to see our regular vet on Wednesday. Lulu is incredibly smart and loving. She has perked up a lot since we took her in and started her medical treatment procedures. She absolutely LOVES kids and has created a syringe bond with both my children, especially my youngest who rescued her. She has met our other pets and seems at ease around them. We are keeping her separate from them for now and are very slowly introducing them to each other. Lulu came to us unexpectedly and we were not prepared to pay a $850 dollar emergency pet bill. She still needs lots of care, she is not spayed, has no microchip, needs vaccinations, requires prescription food and for life and needs all the supplies required to care for her.

Echo

Echo is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Pueblo , CO, who needs $2,000 for Hepatic Lipidosis.

Pueblo, CO

Echo was born to the cat of a family member, we met him on the day that he was born and he was the tiniest thing I had ever seen. My wife and I immediately fell in love with him and as soon as he was old enough we adopted him. He went from that tiny kitten to our Big MoMo who is now larger than both of our dogs. Echo lives with his 4 pet siblings and is the most regal of them all. Echo has had a rough month, he began losing weight and we rushed him to the vet. He has had to receive fluids, blood and plasma transfusions as well as a feeding tube in his nose just to get him stable enough to find more answers. Current diagnosis is hepatic lipidosis that will require a surgery and long term care and visits. He is currently at the Animal ER in Colorado Springs, Colorado Echo is the wise leader of our pet group. He sits upon his perch and observes the others all day watching to make sure they stay safe and out of trouble. His cat brother Oliver also encourages several wrestling matches throughout the day, all of which Echo comes out on top with his wits. He loves to beg for bacon and is the best cuddler in the world. Echo's condition has required many days in the Animal ER and has been transferred to the long-term team. My wife was laid off work a couple weeks ago and we have spent our last savings and credit balances to save our baby. The house feels empty without him.

Simba

Simba is a 6-year-old Orange Tabby Cat in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.

Colorado Springs, CO

I got Simba when he was around 10 weeks old. He fit right in our little family. I am a single mom to two little girls who quickly became attached to this sweet boy. Simba is the most quirkiest, energetic ball of sunshine there is. Simba sleeps with my four year old, cuddles with the dog, and lays on my chest at night. He plays with the dog like he is a dog. He stands by the door when he hears the knob open, greeting me every time I come home. Simba is always getting into something and learning new things. He does a jump and fly in the air when playing, he jumps in the air to climb up and perch himself on my shoulder. A few nights ago, Simba ate hair ties that he found. I had no idea he found them but he did and unfortunately ate them. He threw them up, and was acting normal until he started throwing up, not eating, and just not his normal self. I am scared if he doesn't get the treatment, my kids and myself are going to lose the cat that we have come to seriously love. As a single mom on limited income, finances are tight and money is scarce. A lot of vets in the area have quoted over 3,000 to 4,000 for surgery that I cannot come up with. I do not want him to suffer anymore and I really do not want to give him back to the HSPPR.

Chapo

Chapo is a 1-year-old German Shepard Mix in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $2,000 for Blockage Removal.

Colorado Springs, CO

We got Chapo at only a couple months old. He was born December 22nd 2022, we took him home February 18th 2023. He has a basket full of toys that he never chews up or destroys. His favorite treats are peanut butter flavored. Chapo plays very well with other dogs and cats. He’s sweet and gentle around people and children alike. He never bites or plays rough. He rarely barks or growls at anyone or anything. Chapo is special because he is and always was the biggest sweetheart. Anyone could approach him and pet him without being worried or intimidated by him. He makes people smile everywhere he goes. His good behavior and calm nature are praised by everyone he came in contact with. He loves cuddling and playing with his toys. He’s a boy that always loves having love and attention. Chapo changed the end of December when he refused to eat. We took him to a vet who accused us of not feeding him and calling Animal Law Enforcement on us. After following up with a different vet a couple days later because of the continuing situation we were told he actually had a blockage in his intestines which was preventing him from digesting/taking in food. He is now needing urgent surgery. We need money at the moment because the first vet bill with a really bad vet cost over $600 for them to find nothing wrong with him and send us home. The second vet was over $400 to get a check up and X-rays. His surgery will vary from $3000-$6000.

Lola

Lola is a 2-month-old Heeler in Colorado Springs , CO, who needs $2,000 for Parvovirus Treatment.

Colorado Springs, CO

Lola came into our lives by accident. I was in the hospital with cancer, my husband was caring for our livestock and other animals, not to mention still going to work and coming to the hospital to see me. We had a friend that was helping when he wasn’t home and he found out that that person wasn’t keeping mom and dad’s diapers on them to prevent accidental litter til our spay appointment. Lola and her siblings have been a great distraction to my cancer appointment and til they were ready for new homes. Sadly for their 2 mo birthday they got parvovirus and we can’t afford to do treatments for them all. Please help us with Lola’s and Cruisers treatment and help finding homes for her other 4 siblings. What’s not to love with a puppy and the fact that they give me some hope through my battle. Now they are facing their own fate and challenge that my heart is desperately trying to find any help possible. Animal Er in Colorado Springs is helping as much as possible but still 4 are coming close to critical. This is not anyone else’s problem but I am asking as an animal lover to please help me get my family feeling better. Again we are doing the best we can, my husband’s hours have drastically changed since we found out that I’m faced with a third round with cancer. We have appointments in place for the parents to be fixed and we are still planning on finding homes for the others and the ones.

On Thursday May 6th aprx 2:40 pm he was ran over completely by my neighbors SUV. Despite my yells to stop, i was not heard, claim's he didnt see him run into the street. I took him immediately to the hospital & here we are asking for help. His best friend is Lucy, she is a pomeranian mix pup, mowgli has her back through it all ❤ his favorite hoomans are tiny hoomas Aiden, Antonio, & Benjamin and he is a great cuddle bug with mom & dad. We love it when we mess around with the boys and he comes to the rescue. He will definitely make himself known.

Luna is a 4-year-old Labrador/Shepherd mix in Colorado Springs, CO, who needs $1,600 for parvovirus treatment.

Colorado Springs, CO

We adopted Luna from a rescue group on Friday April 17. She was a stray found in Texas w her siblings. She was sweet but had scars and missing fur from her rough early start in life. She was a happy energetic puppy and I was so excited to bring her home to my family. My 7yo daughter was ecstatic and my 2yo dog was so happy to have a friend. Luna is very smart. She sits pretty for a treat. She loves to chew and will play w any dog toy. She did wonderful on a leash for our first few walks. Luna is friendly and eager to meet anyone new. She was even good a fetch the first weekend in our house. She loves to cuddle to be talked to. She warmed up to our other dog almost immediately. Friday we instructed to go to ER vet for plasma transfusion. 3 plasma and 1 red blood transfusion later she is still critical. BP meds, NG tube feeds and antibiotics. The bills are mounting quickly and we don’t want to give up. Animal ER Care in Colorado Springs Luna began vomiting Sunday and I thought it was change in food. The rescue contacted me Monday stating the other puppies in her litter were also sick and they were concerned for parvo. I took Luna to the rescue Monday for meds and fluids. I checked in each day and her condition continued to get worse. Thursday I picked her up and brought her to my vet who did IV fluids and anti nausea meds. She loves chewy and squeaky toys. She tilts her head sideways w high pitches noises. Luna insists on riding in someone’s lap no matter what bed or blanket we have in the car. Her favorite toy is a stuffed squeaky unicorn my daughter picked out. Her left ear never a sites the same way as her right ear.

Skyla Mae is an 11-year-old Shepherd mix in Monument, CO, who needs $2,000 for foreign object removal.

Monument, CO

I adopted Skyla when she was six weeks old as a rescue. At one point, during my college years, we were homeless and lived in my car while I attended classes. She would stay with friends during my time in class or at work. Eventually, I had her go through training to become a service dog as my dog trainer friend had noticed that she behaved differently when I was having health issues. She was a huge success and has since saved my life multiple times and kept me out of the hospital consistently. She is the most loyal creature ever and deserves all the happiness in the world for the work she’s done for me and the troubled times she’s lived through because of me.
