Smokey
Smokey is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in seattle, WA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Care.
seattle, WA
Smokey came in our lives 6 months ago. Before becoming a part of our family, Smokey first belonged to a friend of my husband who had become homeless, fearing that he wouldn't survive on the streets he asked my husband would we be able to provide a loving home for him? Of course, we said yes! Smokey suddenly became ill two days ago, experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite, energy, when you look in his eyes, you can see the pain and discomfort as well as feel his pain. We don't have a vet for him due to financial hardship Our baby may look aggressive, but not at all, he loves people of all ages. Everyone loves our baby, he's very sweet, loving, and gives lots and lots of kisses! But he does snore... loudly! lol. The outdoors he just can't get enough of! He loves his park time, running around everywhere especially with our other dog. Now that he's sick, we haven't seen our energetic, outgoing, silly pup-pup. We have been facing financial and emotional hardship ever since my husband and I had to bury our 17-year-old son.

Rufus
Rufus is a 3 year old Mix-Breed in Everett, WA, who needs $2,000 for Cellulitis Mass Removal.
Everett, WA
This is our beloved dog, Ru. We rescued him from the Everett Animal Shelter in August of ‘22. He’s an only dog-child, so he’s used to getting lots of attention, but he’s such a love with other pups. We moved into our own home a 2-3 weeks after adopting him and we’ve made so many memories with him here. He loves to run around in the yard and our neighbors have grown to love him, too. He has developed cellulitis and is very sick. He has a mass that has developed on the back of his neck, and fluids have started to pool around his lymph nodes. He needs an operation as soon as possible, or necrosis will begin to set in and his condition will be life-threatening. With surgery, his prognosis is great. The team at Animal Medical Center of Seattle are confident in that he’d recover. His personality is so distinct — he is emotionally intuitive, empathetic, and snuggly. But, he’s also very sassy when we ask him to do something that he doesn’t want to. He’s so smart, it gets him into trouble sometimes, but it’s one of the reasons why we adore him. I’m a type one diabetic and he knows when I have low blood sugar before I even do, and he’s not even a service dog. He’s our world. Ru’s dog-dad and I are going through a divorce, so money is tight right now. We plan on co-pawrenting as much as possible. The operation would be a little over 3k, but a CT (+3k) is required to map out how they will operate, as the mass is located next to the jugular.

Nova
Nova is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Everett, WA, who needs $2,000 for Broken Leg Repair.
Everett, WA
5 years ago this little angel came into my life totally unexpected. Multiple ciggerett burns covered her tummy and her paws and ears with super glue. My friend had saved her from that terrible situation but couldnt keep her permenatly so without a second thought in mind, Nova was taken in as my own. An irreplacable bond only grew stronger than I ever imagined possible from that day on. Nova got into a terrible accident and has unfortunetly broken her front leg. The vet explaned little guys her size tend to just not have the correct blood flow it takes to heal an injurgy of her statute. Seattle Medical Emergency Clinic gave a splint and a week worth of pain meds. The next step in this process is ampmutation or putting in metal plates. Both cost far beyond my current budget. When the sun is shining Nova can be caught soaking up some rays. She loves big ol' soft blankets, fuzzier the better. Bigger dogs are her fav playmates forgetting that they tend to have chew toys that are bigger then her! Brave and so smart shes sweet beyond imaginable. Many have admitted little dogs are not for them but agree that Nova steals their heart instantly and is a special dog. Unnexpected and sudden medical expense, without any sort of emergancy fund. Nova doesnt deserve to suffer because of my inability to pay for the procedure. She watches other dogs run around and play and it absolutly breaks my heart she has to go through such pain.

Ace
Ace is a 11 month old Mix-Breed in Snohomish, WA, who needs $2,000 for Pneumothorax Surgery.
Snohomish, WA
Ace was rescued in December of 2023 from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is a mixed breed that was overlooked and has the most love to give. He has a rescue brother at home waiting for him named Jack who looks identical to him. We named picked the name Ace since both Ace and Jack are face cards and in blackjack, an Ace and a Jack together is a winning hand ❤️ Ace is being treated for what appears to be a pellet gun wound while he was playing in our fenced backyard. This foreign body has caused a pneumothorax and requires emergency surgery to remove since his lungs are filling with fluid. He has been seen at Pilchuck Vet Hospital (Snohomish), BluePearl (Kirkland) and tomorrow at Animal Medical Center of Seattle (Shoreline) for a CT. Ace loves everyone he meets and he truly loves life. He has the most expressive eyes and constantly chooses to be with people no matter who they are. He is hilarious, brilliant, goofy, and inquisitive. He is the bright spot in my life and has given me many reasons to smile when my life has seen dark days. He lives for sunshine and water and loves learning new tricks ❤️ I am currently a full-time student who struggles financially as it is. My life has been devoted to rescuing animals, and every rescue has been a blessing. This dog is my life. I have no way to pay for the surgery required, so I will have to take it out on credit.

Valcor
Valcor is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in Bothell, WA, who needs $2,000 for Ketoacidosis (DKA) Treatment/Diabetic Treatments..
Bothell, WA
I found Valcor thanks to his sister Hanabi. Their mother had them in our shed and Hanabi came out of it to investigate. That is when I saw them. I chose to adopt her first and wasn't sure on Valcor. But when he fell ill as a kitten, we took him to the vet and, instead of being scared, he curled up into my arms and purred. He's been with me since. I named him after the dragon in Never Ending Story. I took Valcor to Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital. They took some tests and urged me to take him to Animal Care Center of Seattle's ER section due to his test results. He has an unknown situation in his lungs (asthma or an infection) and has ketoacidosis. His blood sugar was 478 when normal is between 100-150. They have to keep him in the ICU for a minimum of 48 hours to hopefully drop his sugar. Valcor knows tricks, he knows how to sit on command, but above all, he is my loving snuggle bug. He sleeps right beside me very night. I cradle his head as he sleeps. He loves to snuggle and will lay on me to sleep any chance he gets. He's a gentle giant and super sweet. You can do pretty much anything to him and he won't hiss or growl. He's the sweetest boy I know. I had to take out two loans equalizing about $8000 to cover his costs and ER stay. Unfortunately, that means my monthly payments are around $700. I've exhausted all savings and options I have. Please, I don't want to lose my boy because of money.

Merken
Merken is a 15-year-old Siamese Lynx Point in Seattle , WA, who needs $2,000 for Initial 24-48 hours, Ultrasound, Testing, and NGT Placement.
Seattle, WA
Karl rescued Merken and her sister in Portland as kittens in 2008, and they traveled down to Chile together in 2010. I met all 3 of them in 2015, and we became a family. Merken's sister Mane is in cat heaven, but Merken flew up with me during the pandemic, once there were flights from Chile again. Before that, we spent 6 months away from Karl, and ahe was my rock. I met my husband 8 years ago in Santiago, Chile, where I am from. Merken, Karl and I quickly became a family. She would always knew when I was sad, and would be by my side. This quote from Winnie the Pooh sims it up: Pooh: "Ever Had One Of Those Days Where You Just Can't Win, Eeyore?" Eeyore: "Yup I Know How You Feel." She sleeps with us every night and is in whichever room we are in, always. She is always involved in everything; be it food, plants, decorating for the holidays and birthdays, and even any new furniture. We laugh that everything is hers in the condo, as she has toys all over and we move and place things according to her preferences and safety. My husband would not allow us to share the heating pad, as that is hers and only hers. She started eating less of her food, u til about a week ago, she stopped eating altogether. She would only have Churu and drink water. The last few days, even Churu and Tiki and broth was barely sniffed at, and she was only drinking water thanks to us taking her to her water fountain evry few hours. She has lymphoma, and is hospitalized. Will be aspirated tomorrow I had to wait nearly 2 years for my green card, and could not work here in the US. My husband is a public service worker and makes below the median for this area of the country. We have just started to pay off existing debts and make plans.

Buddha
Buddha is a 1.8-year-old French Bulldog in Seattle, WA, who needs $1,800 for BOAS Surgery, Nares Surgery, and Neuter.
Seattle, WA
Originally Buddha was purchased from a backyard breeder by a family member of mine. I was told to potty train him and return him back when he was mature. I had him for about 7-8 months and fell in love. I didn’t love the idea of breeding him so I paid that family member off in whatever loans I could approve for to pay him off, which put me in greater debt. I was ok with that. Buddha is such a good boy. His temperament is amazing. He doesn’t growl, only barks if his older sister barks for attention! He is great with human interaction and loves butt scratches from them. He loves playing/ cuddling with my two cats even though it took adjustments for my cats to love him back. He loves interacting with kids because they match his personality! He’s also my cuddle partner! From every encounter I’ve had people always say that Buddha is such a sweet boy but at the same time a goof. He whines in frenchie when he wants something really bad no matter how many times I say no and he makes sure that everyone can hear. He sleeps with me in bed and he is not allowed by the head of the bed because of his farts. He scoots his body inch by inch backwards to get closer! Buddha has Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, with a level 2 laryngeal collapse, and a sliding hiatal hernia. He recently had surgery and is now recovering! With each day passing by, he’s getting stronger! He also got neutered! Medical bills, school debt, loss of income, my income is less than what I owe for monthly bills, bad credit, you can name it all. I want Buddha to live a long and healthy life! I’m glad I was able to save him from being bred!

Carrot
Carrot is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Seattle , WA, who needs $1,800 for Gastroenteritis.
Seattle, WA
I adopted Carrot in January from a local pet adoption agency in Seattle, so we have not been together long, but in that short time, he has become my best friend. In the apartment, he lives alone, but he has a brother that lives down at my mom's house. His brother who is chunkier is named Pumpkin and Carrot got his name since he was a bit scrawny and lengthy (like a Carrot). Carrot loves sleeping by the window, where he can wake up at a moment's notice to chatter at some crows. I live in a studio apartment with my partner and Carrot, so we are used to always being around each other. It feels like I am missing a very importnat piece of my life since he has been at the vet the past week. Carrot always enjoys watching cartoons and tv with us, he is like an iPAD kid. Carrot is the nicest and friendliest cat. He is loving, playful, and sometimes a bit of a spaz. His favorite hobbies include sniffing the dishwasher, knocking pens of desks, and curling up in the sun for long naps. He also goes crazy for catnip, you can check out the posted video to see him in action. He loves chattering at the birds, although he is actually the biggest scaredy cat alive. Hi, my name is Megan and I am fundraising for my orange friend Carrot the Cat. He currently is staying at Animal Medical Center and has been refusing to eat for the past couple of days. He, unfortunately, got into some grass that triggered a lot of vomiting and dehydration. He perked up for a bit, but unfortunately, he is now experiencing major gut issues that prevent him from being able to eat. I recently graduated from college so I, unfortunately, do not have much in savings. Carrot means the world to me and I want to help him in any way that I can. He makes me so so happy and it has been so hard living without him by my side.

Tucker
Tucker is an 8-year-old Dachshund Mix in Index, WA, who needs $2,000 for surgery to remove cancerous tumors.
Index, WA
Tucker came into my life almost 9 years ago. He was a gift from my daughter. At first I was not very happy with her for bringing a dog home. But the second I looked into those puppy dog eyes, he had me. Hook, line and sinker! I had no chance against such cuteness. He was the best gift I've ever gotten! He has been right by my side through so many hard times as well as good. He is my "happy pill" always turning my frown upside down. He just brightens our days and has been the best dog anyone could ask for. When I walk in the door he is always there to greet me, holding something in his mouth.. a squeaky toy, my sock, I never know what he will bring. This was not an easy decision - it is very expensive and will only extend his life, not cure the cancer. We are ALL as a society going through a lot right now and I know this pandemic has put a tremendous stress, financially on us all. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated It is with great sadness to tell you that my "Tucky bear" has been diagnosed with having cancerous tumors. This cancer is very aggressive and usually grows quickly After a long conversations with our Vet and our Oncologist we feel the best choice for tucky is to have surgery to remove the tumors and follow up with chemo and as he is otherwise in good health! For such a little guy he has always believed he was bigger then any other animal and never scared of anything. He shows no fear when protecting his home, his friends or his family. He even chased a momma bear and her 2 cubs away from our tent a few years ago. He is very protective of the goats too
