Autumn
Autumn is a 4 year old American Shorthair in East Elmhurst, NY, who needs $600 for Hyperthyroidism Treatment and Bloodwork.
East Elmhurst, NY
We rescued Autumn from the streets. We gave her name due to her coloring and the current seasonal changes. We heard rumors from friends that there was a kitty out there who was in urgent need of care and us already being an owner of five other cats, could ignore a possible cat in need. We currently have no medical background for her since we got her of the streets. We took her to a local vet and we were informed she may have hyperthyroidism and is extremely underweight. She needs an extensive bloodwork up, possible medications and shots and supplements. Autumn is gentle soul. Although human haven't given her reasons to trust them, she immediately warmed up to us. She has the deepest meow out of all our cats and isn't afraid to tell them off if they're being overbearing. She likes playing with shoelaces and loves napping in cubbie-like spots. Due to health issues along with trouble finding stable jobs, our financial situation is to be desired. We live paycheck to paycheck and are already having troubling keeping up with our bills and even rent. The only thing that keeps us in good spirits are our fur babies.

Feral
Feral is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in New York, NY, who needs $2,000 for Trap/Neuter/Return.
New York, NY • City Veterinary Care
These cats are part of a feral colony in Queens in the Richmond Hill Section. They are cared for by a community member that feeds them, provides shelter (car tires, boxes with straw bedding), and a winter water bubbler to prevent the water from freezing These cats are feral so they are always at a distance. They stay in the colony neighborhood because resources are provided. We can however, see relationships (good and bad) between them All cats are special.:). The feral ones require a lot of empathy because they are wild animal and do not want our assistance. They are terrified of humans, so trapping them for sterilization surgery is stressfull but we make it a kind and humane as possible These cats, left on the street, sexually intact, breed and multiply. The chances of a kitten making it through the winter is only about 20%, so by sterilizing them before that happens, truly saves lives! The supply of feral cats in the 5 boroughs of NYC are seemingly endless. Every dollar helps to get to them all. The assistances goes to paying spay/neuter veterinarians, support staff and supplies

Feral Cat Spay & Neuter Program
Feral Cat Spay and Neuter Program in New York, NY needs $2,000 for TNR Sterilization.
New York, NY • City Veterinary Care
Join The Toby Project's mission to control the feral cat population by donating towards their spay and neuter program. Your generosity can provide a better future for these stray kitten and cats. The Toby Project provides free spay and neuter, by appointment only, for feral cats brought to us by registered 501C3 nonprofit TNR ( Trap, Neuter, Release) rescue groups in New York City. We've set a goal to raise $2,000, which will cover the cost of 16 cat sterilizations each month. By reaching this goal, we can ensure that more feral cats receive the care they need, helping to control their population and improve their overall well-being. Each year, approximately 6,000 cats taken to municipal shelters in New York City are killed simply because there are not enough homes to account for the overwhelming number of cats in need. This intolerable problem exists because the City's uncontrolled stray population reproduces naturally -- and too many pet owners allow their cats to breed without contemplating the consequences. Sterilization is essential when it comes to managing the population of feral cat communities. This not only helps control the population but also prevents the spread of diseases that can harm both humans and animals. Donate today! Every little bit helps.

Maher
Maher is a 1-year-old Tibetan Terrier in New York, NY, who needs $500 for Annual Physical and Shots.
New York, NY
Hi All! Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I brought home my Tibetan Terrier puppy, Maher, one year ago and she has been an absolute delight. Thanks to Maher I have met so many wonderful neighbors in my NYC neighborhood and she is a fun (and funny!) little girl. Maher is named after a family surname (rhymes with Mayor) and her Instagram is the Maher_of_NewYork Maher and I enjoy lots of walks, playdates with neighbors, and we love going to the dog park - our favorite dog park is at the American Museum of Natural History! One of my favorite aspects of Maher is how wonderful she is with children; she would make an excellent therapy dog. Maher is curious, spunky, sweet, and the watch dog for the Upper West Side. I love how she leaps up the back of my chair and she perches herself on my windowsill (don't worry, it's very safe!). My apartment is situated on the 18th floor with beautiful natural light - Maher loves watching the world and scaring the pigeons on my windowsill! Maher needs her yearly physical and her annual shots. She is a very healthy, smart, well trained and vibrant puppy but needs her basic medical needs taken care of. I would love to have this done asap because last week I heard a case of kennel cough going around the neighborhood and I don't want her at the dog park if she isn't up to date with her shots! I resigned from a remote Producing/Business Development position last July and have struggled finding full time employment. I've taken odd jobs (babysitting/hostessing) while interviewing and applying to jobs but I'm officially destitute. I appreciate your help!
