Bodi

Bodi is a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog in Sparta, NJ, who needs $20,000 for Septic Shock.

Sparta, NJ

We brought Bodi and his half sister Kinzie home 3 and a half years ago. Bodi is the most loving and affectionate creature to ever grace our lives. From his goofy antics to his never ending need for cuddles. He has been the son I didn’t have. Two weeks ago he eat a pair of ankle socks. He passed one but the second got lodged in his small intestine. He had surgery to remove the sock which was thankfully covered by insurance. However a few days later his abdomen began filling with fluid from a ruptured suture and became septic. He had to have a second surgery to repair and clear out the bad tissue. He lost 1/3 of his small intestine. Bodi has the personality of the forever loving 2 year old. He loves to give and get hugs. He loves to be the giant goofball he is. Care free as the day is long. He is currently in critical condition and his vet bill is over $20,000 to date. We are at a critical point of having to choose filing bankruptcy or letting go of our precious pup but will still be responsible for the $20,000 bill he has already incurred

Ivy

Ivy is a 4 year old Maine Coon in Jersey City, NJ, who needs $3,521 for Acute Kidney Injury.

Jersey City, NJ

I adopted Ivy in 2024 into my home in which there are 2 brothers and a sister. She gets along with all of them, often sleeping in big cuddle puddles. I chose her name as I was inspired by Batman's Poison Ivy. We currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment in which she mainly loves to be lazy and lounge on my bed, though she can get zoomies from time to time. Ivy stopped eating Tuesday evening and began to vomit. A friend was able to help us so we went to vet. They found that she has acute kidney injury but don't quite yet know the cause. They would like to do more diagnostic testing as well as life saving care as she still isn't interesting in eating and is consistently becoming dehydrated. The vet we took her to is Crown Veterinary Specialists in NJ. Unlike the Poison Ivy mentioned earlier, mine cuddles with me every night, where she is always the little spoon. She is a purr machine who likes to yell if you aren't petting her. Whether it's on my lap or back, or anywhere in-between she loves being near me. Whilst she isn't too interesting in toys, she can be seen playing with one if her siblings are playing, especially the laser! My partner is the breadwinner and his main funds are supplied by the VA, unfortunately the VA has not provided his necessary money this month so the only money we did bring in, went to rent. With the hardship loan declined, we are out of options.

Rangeley

Rangeley is a 13 month old Maine Coon in Washington, NJ, who needs $10,000 for Emergency Surgery for Gastrointestinal Blockage.

Washington, NJ

Rangeley came into my life as a kitten and quickly became part of the heart of my home. He is now just over a year old and has grown into a gentle, affectionate presence. Rangeley has a special bond with me, one that I’ve never shared with another pet. This sweet boy will follow me from room to room and he has been my constant companion since the day he arrived. Rangeley was rushed to Crown Veterinary Specialists in Lebanon, New Jersey, after becoming lethargic, refusing food, and showing signs of abdominal distress. Imaging showed severe abdominal gas and concern for a possible intestinal obstruction or torsion. He required emergency hospitalization, IV fluids, pain management, and is likely facing urgent surgery. Rangeley is affectionate, intuitive, and deeply bonded to my granddaughter and myself. He seeks out closeness, curls up beside me when I’m upset, and has a calm, comforting presence. He loves to play, he knocks everything off of any counter he can reach, He loves the window perches, and being near people. He is just a year old, full of life, love and brings warmth and joy to my home every day. This emergency came without warning, and the cost of care has been overwhelming. The estimate for Rangeley’s treatment is $7,637.59–$11,635.95, and I’ve been told that surgery is very likely, placing his care toward the upper end of that range. My heart hurts.

Tommy Tom-Tom

Tommy Tom-Tom is a 6 year old American Shorthair i

Belvidere, NJ

Tommy Tom-Tom came into our lives and our home in July 2023. We found that two years before that his owners moved and left him. Tommy is a best friend and emotional support cat to our other cat who is diabetic. Paul also was a stray. Tommy looked like a huge tomcat, so we named him Tommy Tom-Tom. Tommy suffered with an infestation of ear mites that he endured for over 2 years. When we first saw him his ears were packed with black crusty mites and from scratching he was bleeding way down his neck. This caused a severe infection that has turned into a cancerous tumor in the ear canal. Different medications alleviate some of the pain, but the tumor must be removed and the sooner the better. Tommy has 2 two-legged friends, me and my husband. His best buddy is Paul, the diabetic cat. Tommy is very gentle for a large cat, and loves the company of people. He is a lap cat and a good friend to my husband who is a retired vet with a very bad back. Tommy has a plastic tube toy that he carries while meowing so loudly that one time I thought he was hurt. He loves, loves cat t.v. I am currently an unemployed caregiver since my client just passed away.. My husband drove for a transport service transporting disabled and mentally challenged adults to day care. He hurt his back and is going through physical therapy at this time. We have social security.

Cooper

Cooper is a 4 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi in Flemington , NJ, who needs $2,000 for CHOP Protocol.

Flemington, NJ

My husband Keith found Cooper on a pet page. He was the “runt” of his litter as he has an umbilical hernia as a puppy. When we went to pick him up, we saw how loving he was with the children and immediately fell in love. We brought him home to a fur brother Duke, who is exactly one year older than him. They fight and play like siblings, but love each other immensely. Cooper had a routine dental appointment and the vet noticed that he had swollen lymph nodes in two parts of his body. She ordered blood work and a biopsy and it was confirmed a few days later that he has Lymphoma. We immediately took him to an oncologist and learned about his options. We decided to start a CHOP protocol. Cooper joined our family when he was 4 months old and immediately clicked within our family. When we welcomed our son Hudson in 2020, he fell in love with him right away. They are inseparable as Cooper stays near him all the time and plays with him. Our son would be heartbroken if he did not make it. We are welcoming a baby in May and I will not be receiving my usual salary. This is a constant concern. It would break our hearts if we are unable to afford care for our loving Cooper.

April

April is a 14-year-old Shih Tzu in Hackettstown, NJ, who needs $600 for UTI Treatment and Urinalysis.

hackettstown, NJ

April was a christmas present to me in 2009 and has continued to be a gift in my life all throughout my life. we quite literally grew up together looking back… she’s playful and always a sweetheart. she has a sense of knowing who is our family and who isn’t! her favorite season is christmas naturally and is always excited to open presents! April always finds a way to communicate with me. She has a great memory and is so expressive with her emotions. She likes to dance and go to work with my mother in her office. she’s the family’s secretary! April is over 14 years old and she’s so determined not to show it. Despite sickness or discomfort she tries to push through. This time though she is struggling. A simple uti has escalated quickly and now she is unable to fully walk and especially get up and down the stairs. She’s also developed a cough and shakes while breathing. I recently lost my job and haven’t been able to find a new one, not even entry-level retail positions where i live. I don’t have a car or I would try to arrange rides for something further.

Pandora

Pandora is a 1-year-old Pitbull Mix in Catasauqua, PA, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Care for Severe Neglect and Abuse.

Catasauqua, PA • Outcast Rescue

Pandora has batted through extreme physical and emotional abuse. Outcast Rescue rushed Pandora to the animal hospital after she was discovered on the streets of Philadelphia - barely standing. Her severely underweight frame shaking in the freezing cold. "When we picked her up, she just curled in her blankets in the back of the car and went right to sleep." says Beth. The rescue has seen their fair share of harrowing cases and Pandora's is one of the most heartbreaking. "How it is even possible she can stand is beyond us but she clearly has the will to want to live." The vets reported that her blood work was an absolute disaster, so extensive tests and diagnostics were needed to determine the root cause. Pandora was dangerously anemic; before anything else, she needed to be stabilized with an emergency blood transfusion. X-rays then showed several oddly shaped bone fragments in her belly with possible internal bleeding, which will need to be investigated further. Everyone is praying it is not an obstruction that will require putting her weak body through surgery. Pandora remains in critical condition - dangerously dehydrated, emaciated and unable to eat on her own. She will have to remain in the animal hospital, receiving around the clock care and eating small, nutritious meals throughout the day. Despite all this, she still managed to muster a weak wag of her tail as if trying to reassure everyone that everything will be alright. "Pandora just took everything in, watching every little bit of movement. She is very sweet and just sat there patiently as everything was done to her." Outcast Rescue has responded in full force, but they need your help! Please consider a donation towards her medical care!
