Tater

Tater is a 5 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Ann Arbor, MI, who needs $8,436 for Chemotherapy Regimen for Large Cell Lymphoma.

Ann Arbor, MI

Tater joined our family in early 2022. We were lucky enough to adopt him from a rescue agency after he had been abandoned in the middle of winter on the street in Detroit. In spite of his abusive beginning, he is full of love, and is the happiest, most cuddle loving dog I have ever had. I strongly believe Tater rescued me as much as we rescued him. On a regular vet visit for a mild infection, we got the devastating news that Tater has Lymphoma. He is undergoing chemotherapy to extend his young life by a fabulous team of veterinary oncologists at Emergency Veterinary Hospital and Specialty Services in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tater is the most loving, loyal, fun, joyful, smart, cuddly dog I have ever had. He loves walks/runs, car rides with his head out the window, chasing sticks, and swimming in Lake Superior! At home, he greets visitors with a delighted tail-wagging enthusiasm. He follows me around the house, cuddles next to me on the couch, and sleeps by my side. This 70 pound pooch truly believes he is a lap dog! I am retired on a fixed-income so the cost of the chemotherapy treatments that Tater needs to extend his young life is more than I can manage. Any support, no matter how small, would help Tater get the care he needs, and would be very much appreciated.

Sammy

Sammy is a 30 Year Old Blue and Gold Macaw in Flint, MI, Who Needs $1,000 for Heart Failure and Seizures.

Flint, MI

Sammy, has been in my life for five years now since I was about thirteen years old, she was a friend of my mother's via work, and she had gone through a divorce and Sammy was owned by her husband, and the wife didn't have time for Sammy and offered her to my mother in which I took her because I was in search for a bird for awhile just didn't expect such a big one to come along. Sammy had just started showing symptoms of a huge illness, she was rushed to emergency and I was told it could be a heart issue or a brain issue, they most likely said a heart issue and that she's in critical condition, my budget was 300$ my mom currently just lost her job and I'm searching, and they wanted 1k to give her a diagnosis not even including treatment, I would do anything for this bird. Sammy is a semi aggressive bird, she loves to chew and break things she is not friendly at all towards people but she is bonded with me we have a great bond she is just very unfamiliar with a lot, I never learned more about her background cause yet again she was abandoned by her original owner, she doesn't like loud sounds she likes calming music, and loves blueberries and bananas. I currently live in a motel, my mom was the housekeeper so we have a 2 bedroom in this motel, and my grandma is on social Security, me and my mom are currently looking for jobs, we're in a really tight spot right now and I refuse to lose my girl.

Bouncer

Bouncer is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Jackson, MI, who needs $2,000 for Continued Parvo Treatment.

Jackson, MI

We rescued he from a bad situation hoping to gind him a better home but he ultimately turned into a foster fail and ESA, he is 1 of a pack of 5 fur babies. He has been with us for almost 6 months. He was about 18 months old when we got him and already knew his name so we decided not to change it. His condition will require ongoing treatment as there is damage to his intestines. He ending up with parvovirus after getting out while we were at work. He had to be transferred to AnnArbor EVH after he had stopped eating and drinking and and was throwing up and at one point and is still having bloody diarrhea. And he going to require an NG tube to be able to get any nutrients from vomiting. His best friend is a 10 lbs chihuahua mix, when he gets around water he sounds like a dinosaur, when he gets excited he starts to grumble, he is the type of dog that would enter your skin if he could, he loves to crawl under the blankets to cuddle, he is yet to find a favorite toy, he will lay in bed next to you all day if you let him. Fixed income, permanently disabled and cut hours. Not having him at home is like there is a piece of our family missing, not having him home is affecting everyone (2-legged and 4-legged)

Pixie

Pixie is a 9 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Jackson, MI, who needs $1,500 for Oxygen Chamber to Reduce Brain Swelling.

Jackson, MI

Pixie came into our lives not too long ago. We have loved and cherished her spunky energy ever since. She has truly brought joy to our home. Pixie is the tiniest member of our family, full of love, energy, and so much personality for such a little pup. We’re doing everything we can to give her a fighting chance, but we need help. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Pixie, our sweet 8-month-old mini Yorkie, has suddenly fallen critically ill. After a rushed visit to the emergency vet, we received the heartbreaking news that she has brain swelling. She is currently undergoing intensive treatment, but the costs are quickly becoming overwhelming. Pixie is our tiny bundle of energy who bounces from room to room spreading joy. She play-fights with our cats, chases toes, and loves to wrestle with socks. Her quirky little hops and playful spirit light up our home—she’s the heart of our household and keeps us all smiling. The treatments she needs are extensive and urgent. As two retirees living on a fixed income, this medical crisis has placed a heavy financial strain on us. We are doing everything we can to fight for Pixie, but we simply can’t do it alone.

Pepper

Pepper is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog in Coldwater , MI, who needs $1,000 for Intralipid Therapy and Anti-Emetic Care.

Coldwater, MI

I originally got Pepper and her sister Stella in a box on the side of the road. She was covered in urine and fleas, and I just knew I had to keep her. Ever since Pepper has lived an active wonderful life with me and my family. She loves my sister Kiara, but more than that she LOVES fetch. Yesterday (6/25/2024) we believe she got into my sisters Zoloft. Zoloft is an SSRI. The reason why this is so detrimental is because she can develop serotonin syndrome, which can be lethal. We took her to 24/7 Emegency Vet Care in Ann Arbor Michigan. Where she was being treated. We could only afford the minimal care that she needed. The vet worried that she might develop further symptoms. Pepper is an extremely energetic dog. She loves to play fetch, cuddle with people (she will legitimately spoon you), any person new or who’s she familiar with she absolutely loves. When we were at the vets office every one was so pleased to take care of her because she’s such a good girl to everyone. I lost my full time job. I was previously a service advisor. Since then I’ve been working a part time job while I try and find another one. My significant other thankfully is helping with the costs but he had to sacrifice an entire paycheck to even get her care.

Mopar is very rambunctious and loves to play with us he currently loves tug of war and he will bring you a toy for you to just hold while he chews on it, he loves naps especially right in your lap he has quickly become my husbands best friend when it comes to nap time together as they get on the couch together and will just sleep. Mopar had been full of energy and wants to play day and night he loves stuffed animals and little chewy balls, he quickly took over our bed at night making sure we knew his spot was always in the middle. Saturday February 24th 2024 Mopar had become sick we took him to the vet and found out he had contracted Parvo, we had to make the decision to do the at home treatment as it was the option we could afford as days became nights his condition continued to decline we now have him getting in vet care at emergency vet care in Ann Arbor mi This all was so sudden and with emergency family matters the week before our emergency fund had been expunged we currently do not have the income that it would take to get Mopar all of the care he requires and we so desperately need help

Batman

Batman is a 10-year-old Mixed Breed Dog in Ypsilanti, MI, who needs $2,000 for X-rays, Bloodwork, Medication and Overnight Hospitalization with Fluids.

Ypsilanti, MI

Batman has been my best friend since I was 13 years old. He’s watched me birth two children and is my whole heart. He is a schnauzer poodle mix and is loved by many My doggy loves my children and his sister Akira (my other pet). He has major anxiety and always has to be at my feet. He is the best companion and my best friend. He has a crazy little puppy personality for being 10 years old. He has anxiety really bad and I cannot imagine how he’s feeling right now being sick and in. A new place all by himself. He snores in his sleep and it is the cutest thing ever. He started vomiting yesterday and again today. Drooling excessively and shaking violently. He had X-rays and blood work done and the X-rays showed material in his stomach (unknown) so they are keeping him overnight and giving fluids meds and more blood work. My brother just passed away last month from suicide, and that’s been a huge financial struggle on my family. Now with my dog in the hospital $1,000 deposit and another $1,000 tomorrow possibly more if he needs surgery. I can’t afford this right now.

Roshayla W. is going through a hard time this holiday season. She and her dog, Mercedes, are in a tough predicament! Mercedes needed emergency surgery for a sudden prolapse, and Roshayla could not afford it. "I was involved in a domestic dispute, and my work equipment was broken during it, so I lost my job," Roshayla tells Waggle. "I didn't want her to suffer, so I took her to the veterinarian and will be forced to surrender her if I can't pay for the procedure by a certain date." Right now, Roshayla is frantically trying to raise the money to pay for the procedure, so she doesn't lose Mercedes. "It would mean the world to me to have Mercedes back home!" Mercedes means everything to Roshayla, she even sleeps in bed with her. "Mercedes loves walks," Roshayla says. "We have a trail by my house near the water; Mercedes loves walking over there. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and sleep." Can you help Mercedes get home for the holidays?
