Uzi
Uzi is a 5 year old Pug in Denton, TX, who needs $700 for 3 Months of Addison's Disease Treatment.
Denton, TX
Uzi was originally gifted to my brother by my mom and he was our family pet for 2 years. My family came down on hard times and my mom was debating giving Uzi up because my brother stopped taking care of him and it was hard for her/us to financially support him. This was also the time that I was going to college so I made the decision to take him with me. He has lived with me for 3 years now! Uzi has been through a lot in the past year. He had a bad UTI, then we found a mass that required surgery, and now he is diagnosed with Addison's disease. I left him with my family while I was out of town and he went into Addison's crisis. The vet said he was in critical condition and I was lucky to bring him when I did. Now, Uzi will need daily/monthly medication to avoid going into crisis again. Uzi is hilarious and has the best comedic timing in any dog I've ever met. It feels like he truly hears and understands everything going on around him but always plays dumb to get what he wants. He is super sweet and cuddly but also protective of his family. He might be stand off-ish to strangers but once you give him some treats and pets he will follow you around like a shadow! I love him dearly! I have struggled to care for Uzi for some time now. I am in school and work part-time but hope to be more financially stable in just a few months. I budget EVERYTHING but do not make enough to handle these surprise costs and my family is also struggling and cannot supplement

Baiely
Baiely is a 7 year old Bloodhound in Pilot Point, TX, who needs $1,600 for Mass Removal.
Pilot Point, TX
This is my dog Bailey. My husband always wanted a bloodhound so I found a breeder 8 hours away and they sent me pictures of all their puppies. When I saw her picture I immediately fell in love with her. She was so silly and dorky and fit right in to our family. Her brother (a miniature poodle) became her best friend, they have been inseparable since day one. About a year ago I noticed a growth coming out of her gum, it looked like she had a wad of chewing gum in her mouth. I tried to reach out to multiple vets in my area and they all said they would put her to sleep for a dental cleaning and remove it. Recently, it has gotten so big that I was told by one vet that she is so old she may die on the table. Or that she will need part of her jaw removed. Bailey is the best dog I have ever had. She is such a people dog, I have 4 kids and she has let all of the kids climb on her and she just lays there until they are done. She feels when you don't feel good and will lay on you until you tell her to get up. Bailey loves to go to the lake, as a puppy we have taken her fishing with us. She gets upset with my husband if he smells like fish without her. My husband lost his job in October, he was the primary breadwinner, with only a month notice. We have 4 kids and I have been at home with them for 6 years. I've tried to call every vet near me explaining our financial situation and no one is willing to help my poor baby.

Valerie
Valerie is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Little Elm , TX, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.
Little Elm, TX
Valerie's gotcha day was just over a year ago. We rescued her from a caring shelter/organization. She's only 2 years old and has had it rough. She rules the roost in our home. She's so loving and gentle. About 3 months ago she started limping. We promptly took her to our vet and found out she has a torn ACL. We have kept her on medication since, as was recommended by our vet (Hooves & Paws). Last week we noticed she was having a hard time moving at all. Our vet has confirmed that she has now torn the ACL in her other hind leg. We are now looking at $4700 per leg for surgery. Valerie is so sweet. She cuddles with my husband and I all the time. She also loves to cuddle with my extended family. She is super friendly and a couch potato. My husband and I both switched jobs 3 months ago. We are fighting to catch up with bills and we now have no medical insurance ourselves. We are desperate to get our sweet girl walking again.

Halloweena
Halloweena is a 5-month-old American Domestic Long Hair Kitten in Denton, TX, who needs $2,000 for Broken Leg Surgery.
Denton, TX
We got our little baby from a woman on Facebook looking to get rid of an accidental litter. She was a late birthday gift for my 9 year old. We got her around Halloweena and because of her black white and orange coat my daughter chose the name Halloweena. We've had her since October. she instantly became one of the family. Our other cat has bonded with her and none of us can being without her We got Halloweena as a birthday gift for my 9 year old daughter. We've had her for 3 months and we are all in love with her. We have another cat and they are the best of friends. She's so full of life and a little wild one. All the kids love playing with her and she gives the best snuggles. Halloweena is so special because my daughter had been wanting and waiting for a cat of her own for a very long time. The day we brought her home we all immediately fell in love with her. She's so talkative and loving. We all look forward to her morning greetings and head bumps. My children would be devasted if anything were to happen to her. Shes been a happy and healthy little baby since we got her back in October of 2023. She recently got stuck in one of my kids dressers and in that process broke her leg. She now requires surgery. I'm a recently divorced single mom of three children. I'm doing my best to support my family on my own and take care of our pets. Both of our cats mean the world to all of us. Ever since the accident my children have been so worried about their baby.

Finch
Finch is a 1-year-old Domestic Long Hair Cat in Denton, TX, who needs $1,850 for Obstruction Surgery.
Denton, TX
Finch lives with me and my sister. He is mostly my sister's cat, but we both rescued him and bottle fed him after our dad found him abandoned at 3 weeks old. My sister has some extreme mental health struggles, and Finch is basically the only thing keeping her going at this point. We rent our home and he lives with myself, my sister, and my service dog, Atlas. Finch is the sweetest little thing! He loves to snuggle and is very active. He's a very curious little guy who always wants to know what's going on and what you're doing. He loves my dog, Atlas, who helped us raise Finch since he was a baby. They can often be found snuggling together or playing with each other. Finch is probably one of the cutest cats I've ever met, with the sweetest little baby face. He loves to snuggle and is very silly, often running around the house at odd hours and climbing the cat trees and bookshelves. He likes to be mischievous and always wants to play. As mentioned previously, my sister has extreme mental health issues, and Finch is vital as an emotional support animal for her. Around 4 AM Friday morning, Finch started throwing up and expelled part of a pink cat toy. We took him to the vet ASAP on Friday, and he was treated and sent home. Very early Saturday morning, he started throwing up again, so we took him to a different vet and they took x-rays, which showed an obstruction. They attempted to move the object with fluids, but ultimately he required surgery. My sister and I are both disabled, relying only on my SSDI income and VA education benefits to get by each month. We struggle month-to-month, but Finch is the only thing keeping my sister going through her extreme mental health crisis.
