Help Music City Animal Rescue keep saying YES to animals in need.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
At Music City Animal Rescue, our work doesn't stop with the animals who need the most intensive medical care. We have senior pets, special-needs animals, long-term residents, puppies, kittens, and so many others waiting for their chance at a forever home. Every single one of them depends on us—and on you. There are so many behind-the-scenes costs that keep a rescue running. Our liability insurance alone costs approximately $2,100 a year. Without it, we can't participate in adoption events or fundraisers, making this coverage essential to our ability to save lives. Earlier this year, an ice storm completely destroyed the building on our property where we stored our rescue supplies. Now, we have to rent a storage building at $150 per month to keep our crates, food, and other essential supplies safe and accessible. And then there are the animals themselves. We currently have three puppies who came into our care at just 5 weeks old. Before they can find loving homes, each will need complete veterinary care, including vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter surgery, food, and preventatives. We estimate that each puppy will cost approximately $250–$300 to prepare for adoption. We also have multiple groups of kittens and their mothers who will need the same care. Every animal we rescue represents another set of veterinary bills, food, medications, supplies, and daily care. That's why we're asking for your help. Your donation to Music City Animal Rescue doesn't just help one animal—it helps all of them. It helps keep our doors open, our supplies stocked, our animals healthy, and our rescue moving forward. It helps us care for the animals who may take longer to find homes and gives us the ability to say "yes" when the next animal desperately needs somewhere safe to go. No donation is too small, and every single one is greatly appreciated. Whether you can give $5, $25, or $100, your support makes a difference. Thank you for standing behind Music City Animal Rescue and helping us continue our mission of saving lives, one animal at a time.

Max
Max needs your help to make the most of his remaining time.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
Max is around 11 or 12 years old, and just like his brother Sporty, he is one of the sweetest, most loving boys you could ever meet. Sadly, Max's health is declining, and he is now in the end stages of heart failure. Max takes several medications to help keep him comfortable and give him the best quality of life possible, including Enalapril, Vetmedin, and Lasix. These medications are essential to his care, but they are also expensive. Because of the Lasix, Max also struggles with incontinence and needs belly bands to help keep him comfortable and clean. Despite everything his little body is going through, Max still finds joy in the simple things. He loves his soft beds, cozy blankets, good food, and being close to the people who love him. Right now, Music City Animal Rescue's goal is to make every moment he has left as comfortable and peaceful as possible. They urgently need your help to continue providing Max with the medications, senior food, belly bands, and supplies he needs. They don't know how much time they have left with this precious boy, but they do know he deserves to spend whatever time remains feeling safe, warm, comfortable, and loved. Please consider donating today to help Max. Even a small gift can help them keep up with the ongoing cost of his medications and care. Max has spent his life loving people. Now it's our turn to make sure he knows just how deeply he is loved.

Sporty
Sporty needs your help in his golden years.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
Sporty is a sweet senior boy, around 11 years old, who came into Music City Animal Rescue alongside his brother, Max. When they were surrendered, Sporty had severely damaged teeth and several large lipomas, or fatty tumors, that needed attention. They knew he deserved to feel comfortable, so Sporty underwent a full dental procedure and had his large lipomas removed. Thankfully, he's now doing well and enjoying his days with his brother in the loving care of their foster hospice mom. As Sporty gets older, he does have some special needs. He requires small-bite senior dry food and enjoys having wet food mixed in, too. He also has a new tumor that has started to grow. Thankfully, it isn't causing him any trouble right now, and given his age, they may decide that the kindest option is to leave it alone and simply keep a close eye on it. Their goal now is simple: to give Sporty and Max the happiest, most comfortable golden years possible—together. But they can't do it without you. They're asking for your support to help cover the cost of his dental procedure and surgery to have his fatty tumors removed, along with the food, medications, and supplies he needs to live a comfortable life. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them continue caring for Sporty in the loving home they deserve. As the medical bills stack up, we are thankful for your help in giving Sporty the love and comfort he deserves in his golden years.

Weeble
Precious Weeble needs your help to live a pain-free life.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
Weeble is an adorable 2-year-old cat who was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), also known as "wobbly cat syndrome." He found himself at a local shelter struggling to cope, but Music City Animal Rescue knew that CH is not a death sentence. So many cats with CH go on to live long, happy, fulfilling lives, and they wanted to give Weeble that same chance. After a few weeks in foster care, they realized there was more to Weeble's story. He wasn't startled by anything—not barking dogs, loud noises, or even other cats approaching him. That's when they discovered that this sweet boy was also deaf. Being both wobbly and deaf makes navigating the world a little more challenging for Weeble. He can't hear a warning growl or know when another animal is approaching from behind, so he needs a patient and understanding environment where he can feel safe. But when it comes to people, Weeble is absolutely precious. He loves attention and would happily let you pet him all day long! Unfortunately, Weeble is facing another painful challenge. He has stomatitis, an autoimmune condition that causes severe inflammation and discomfort in the mouth. In his case, the only true treatment is a full extraction of all of his teeth. They know that sounds scary, but they've cared for other cats with stomatitis and have seen how life-changing this procedure can be. Once their painful teeth are removed, many cats recover beautifully and go on to live happy, comfortable lives. Some even continue eating dry food, while others prefer a little wet food. For now, Weeble is in foster care receiving antibiotics to help keep the inflammation and pain under control while we work to raise the funds for his dental surgery. His procedure will be expensive, and with his other medical needs, they want to make sure we can give him the safest care possible. They're asking for your help to give Weeble the chance to live a life without chronic pain. Your donation will help cover his dental surgery, full-mouth extraction, medications, and ongoing medical care. Weeble has already overcome so much, and they refuse to let his disabilities or medical challenges define his future. Please consider donating or sharing his story. Together, we can help this incredibly sweet boy finally feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

Sassy
Please help this senior sweetie through extensive medical needs.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
Sassy is a precious senior girl who may weigh barely 5 pounds, but she has a personality that fills the room! At approximately 10 years old, this little lady loves being the center of attention and is being treated like the tiny princess she truly is. Unfortunately, Sassy arrived at Music City Animal Rescue with some serious medical needs. She has severe dental disease and at least one fairly large mammary tumor that will need to be removed and tested to determine whether it is cancerous. She also wasn't spayed before coming into rescue. Sassy's upcoming medical care will include a full dental procedure, removal and biopsy of her mammary tumor(s), and a spay. It's a lot for such a tiny senior girl, but they're committed to giving her the care she needs so she can finally enjoy the comfortable, happy life she deserves. Once her veterinary care is complete, Sassy already has a forever home waiting for her. Until then, Music City Animal Rescue has the honor of caring for this sweet little princess and making sure she gets everything she needs to heal. They're asking for your help to cover Sassy's medical expenses. Your donation will help pay for her dental care, surgeries, testing, and recovery. Every gift, no matter the size, helps give this tiny senior the chance to start her next chapter healthy and pain-free. We truly appreicate your support.

Sprite
Please help Sprite who is now adjusting to life without eye sight.
Nashville, TN • Music City Animal Rescue
Sprite is a beautiful white Husky who was found as a stray in Nashville, TN. When he entered Music City Animal Rescue's program, he was extremely thin and in poor condition. It was clear that this young boy, estimated to be around 4 years old, had been through a lot. Sprite is blind, but thankfully, he still has his hearing. They don't believe he has been blind his entire life, which has made adjusting to his new reality especially difficult. Imagine suddenly losing your ability to see the world around you and having to learn how to navigate everything from scratch. That's the challenge Sprite is facing right now. Because of his medical needs, Sprite is part of their Golden Guardian program, which helps provide the specialized care and support he needs as he learns to live comfortably without his sight. Despite everything he's been through, Sprite deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and secure. With patience, medical care, and a supportive environment, we're hopeful that he'll gain confidence and learn that being blind doesn't mean he can't have a wonderful life. Music City Animal Rescue is asking for your help to give Sprite the care he needs. Your donation will help provide his veterinary care, nutrition, medications, and the ongoing support necessary to help him adjust and thrive. If you can't donate, please consider sharing Sprite's story. Every share helps them reach someone who may be able to help this sweet boy on his journey toward a brighter future.

Rey
Rey is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Clarksville, TN, who needs $6,000 for Heart Valve Repair.
Clarksville, TN
Rey is the baby and the only boy of the pack. He has two sisters that were not too happy when he came home. My mom was depressed, and we brought Rey as a puppy to the house so he could keep her busy. She has passed way since and he became my baby boy. Rey was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, and without immediate surgery, Rey’s condition will continue to worsen and eventually lead to congestive heart failure. Even more heartbreaking, we were told that if we wait too long, Rey will no longer qualify for the life-saving surgery he desperately needs. Rey is a sweet mama boy, all toys and attention belong to him and he believes he is the boss! He has me convinced the we have ghosts in the house because he barks for absolutely no reason! I love him with all my heart ❤️ The total cost of Rey’s surgery and medical care is $8,000, an amount that is difficult for us to manage alone on such short notice. We are humbly asking for help from our friends, family, and compassionate animal lovers to give Rey the opportunity to survive and thrive.

Motor T (Tank)
Motor T (Tank) is a 2 Year Old American Bulldog in Brentwood, TN, Who Needs $4,000 for Foreign Body.
Brentwood
I work at an Emergency Specialty hospital and Motor T was brought in as “Snoopy” at 9 mo old. He was brought into our ER barely alive after he was attacked by another dog. He had puncture wounds everywhere and both of his front legs were broken. His left front leg was so badly broken it needed to be amputated. His owners decided to euthanize him,but I pleaded to them. They surrendered him to me. He had a linear foreign body surgery in July that I am still paying off and now has another obstruction. He is not able to hold down food and is becoming more lethargic. I can not afford a second procedure. He is such a spunky loving boy, him being a tripod does not hold him back. He started as a very timid shy baby to the most cuddly goofy boy with so much personality. He is so gentle with my son and loves belly rubs. He is a power chewer and he helps keep our old dog young with his playful antics. I have had him for 2 years now and his first surgery was $6k, the one in July was $4k and now we are faced with another $4000. I’m a single mom to a son with autism and he has never bonded with any dog like Motor T. I can stand the thought of my son losing a best friend.

Sylvester
Sylvester is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Nashville, TN, who needs $6,500 for Unilateral Arytenoid Lateralization.
Nashville, TN
When Sylvester came into my life I promised to love him and take care of him for his whole life. I kept that promise. Throughout the 12 years I have had him, he has given me so much more than I have given him. He taught me what unconditional love is, something I had not known until I had him. He was there through everything, and I can only repay him by keeping my promise. He is my best friend. On 9/16 Sylvester went to the emergency vet hospital. He has laryngeal paralysis and tracheal collapse. He can't keep his airway open and he will die from this. He needs a specialty surgery to tie his airway open, so we can have more time together. With that borrowed time I will continue to love and cherish him for the rest of his life. His care is with nashville veterinary specialist Sylvester is so intelligent. He talks to me with different sounding meows and has taught me to understand him. He has a specidic meow for everything he likes and dislikes. This added to his sassy sweet personality. He is my best friend. Everyday he purrs and shows his love to me. And everyday I show my love to him. He loves to sit by the window and watch the world go by. This surgery is ~6500 dollars. I have a rare headache condition that causes me to get stroke like symptoms. Because of this I have no emergency fund and cannot come up with that amount of money within a month. Without medical care I wouldnt even be able to drive or work.

Wynn Angel
Wynn Angel is a 12 year old Pomeranian in Franklin, TN, who needs $2,000 for Hernia Repair.
Franklin, TN • WeHelpAnimals.net
We received a text saying the owner of Wynn Angel (WA) had passed. WA was left in the apartment & needed to be GONE by 8/10. We picked her up immediately. Her back side was covered in poop that had been there for some time. She came from a smoke environement & had a persistent cough due to a collapsing trachea.Upon bathing found the large hernia. It was obvious she had not had vet care. WA was taken to the Animal Health Center and referred to Nashville Veterinary Specialist. Surgery was scheduled 8/19 but went to ER on 8/17 due to increase size of hernia. The hernia has intestinal entrapment. NVS took her to surgery 8/18 but due to pulmonary edema had to postpone. She has been in ICU since waiting for lungs to clear and surgery. This has added to the cost of hospitalization. WA is an amazing little girl with such a positive spirit---twirling, dancing, giving kisses even with the loss she has suffered, and her medical condition. Eveyone falls in love immediately. We are so happy she came to us so we can provide the medical care needed. WeHelpAnimals.net is a small rescue with limited resources. This $10K emergency was unexpected. Once we commit to a rescue we provide the needed medical care. We need help in funding part of the hospitalization and surgery.

Diamond is a 12 year old Rat Terrier in Nashville, TN, who needs $1,000 for Echocardiogram, EKG, Xrays, and Exam.
Nashville, TN
I adopted Diamond at 9wks old from the Nashville Humane Society. She is now 12 yrs old and lives with a cat sibling named Eclipse. I dobt have any children of my own so all my pets are like my children. I try my best to care for them like family. Diamond was diagnosed with heart disease right before Christmas of 2024 by Nashville Vet Specialist and Emergency Vet near me. They have a cardiologist there that diagnosed her. She also has a heart murmur she was born with. She needs to see the cardiologist for a recheck and the estimate is $985.00. She needs an echo, xrays to check for fluid in her lungs, and an ekg. Diamond loves her no stuffing toys and barks all day for food. She would eat 24/7 if I let her. She has a cat sibling she gets along with for the most part. She loves to sleep in the bed with me and follows me around the house. She's always wanting to be involved in whatever is going on. She is very much still lively and tells me what for daily, lol. She is an important part of the family. I am currently unemployed and looking for a remote job so I can be home with Diamond more to keep an eye on her. Diamond has a chronic disease but I am determined to give her the best life possible as long as she has a good quality of life.

Bindi
Bindi is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Pulaski , TN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Pulaski, TN
In 2019 we had seen a post about a cat rescue in Huntsville AL. We were in a position to help with saving a kitty and decided to visit the rescue. That's when we saw a little face peeking out from behind a chair. She was shy and a little nervous but we learned the she had been abused and in a hoarding situation. Someone had beaten her, she had some neurological damage. We gave her a home. 2 weeks ago I noticed a mass on Bindis face. After an Xray and looking at some cells she has nasial lymphoma. It is growing quick and has already eaten into the bone. Nashville Veterinary specialists can treat her, but it will cost upwards of $5000. Her next visit is on Jan 13th. She is currently still eating and drinking good but expected to degrade quickly if we can't get treatment. Bindi is the sweetest baby. She always looks at you sideways due to her head injury. She loves snuggling in the bed with my husband. He says she is his cat. She always lays at the door watching the birds in the yard. She never claws the furniture and has always been so good. She flip flops all over the bed wanting to be petted. Her name fits her to a tee. She is Bindi! This came up so suddenly. I have had no time to prepare at all. Our hearts will be broken if we have to end her life or have to wait too long when there is treatment. She has had a hard life and we have only had 5 years to love her.

Teddy Bear
Teddy Bear is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Portland, TN, who needs $2,000 for Head Trauma Treatment.
Portland, TN
Teddy Bear was a rescue. We adopted him from the Nashville Humane Society when he was about 8 weeks old. We don’t know much about his past though. He’s been the best dog ever. He has always been an indoor dog, except when we let him out to potty. He is very much a people person, always wanting to be around someone. Teddy unfortunately was hit by a car in front of our house. He’s holding steady, but has head trauma and we are preparing for the worst. He is currently at Nashville Veterinary Specialists and his bills are adding up. They gave him pain meds, did X-rays, and have him in their oxygen kennels to help with the trauma. He’s been the best dog ever. He saved our son from a dog attack 2 years ago by distracting the other dog and getting him away from our son. Without him, our son may not be here. He was a protector to our ducks and geese, and loved trying to play with the neighbors horses. He also loves playing in the snow and chasing mice. He loves his people fiercely. This is very unexpected of course, it’s right during the holiday season. I have already lost one day of work, and looking at a second day. I don’t have any PTO to use to cover these days either. It would mean the world to Elijah to have his best friend healthy again.

Charles
Charles is a 10 year old Maltese in Antioch , TN, who needs $2,000 for MRI + Potential Spinal Surgery.
Antioch, TN
Prince Charles is a Maltipoo who truly is royalty in my house. He’s a spoiled pup who is fiercely loyal and loves me, his stuffed lamby, and watermelon Charles started struggling with movement, and within days, he couldn’t use his front leg. After an emergency vet visit, they recommended an MRI to check if it’s a slipped disc or possibly a brain tumor. The MRI and surgery will cost almost $11k from Nashville Veterinary Specialist + Animal Emergency Charles is a mama’s boy through and through. While most dogs run to greet new people, not Charles. He is happy to stay in my lap or by my side at all times. My family often jokes that they don’t know who has more separation anxiety - him or me. Charles is the light of my life and I would do anything for him. The sudden and expected extremely high cost truly shocked me. I couldn’t believe that assistance for my animal would be almost $11,000

Ramsey
Ramsey is a 8 month old Poodle in Ashland City, TN, who needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusions.
Ashland City, TN
Ramsey was a gift to our little family. Sadly I lost my best friend of 9 years to cancer his name was Hank. Hank was my little mutt and unfortunately on Dec 27, 2023 a tumor that had gone undetected in his liver suddenly erupted. Ramsey was our fresh start with a new family member but also helped me realize he wasn’t filling Hanks position but was instead beginning a new chapter of his own. Very similar to Hank, Ramseys condition was sudden and undetectable. IMHA is an autoimmune disease that causes his body to attack its own red blood cells and rapidly. Ramsey stayed at Nashville Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency for a week and underwent three blood transfusions and much more in Oder to stabilize him so the other drugs could help regenerate. So far so good. Ramsey hasn’t been here long and due to his condition we have been instructed to keep away from other animals and not allow much activity. All that puppy energy is contained within the home now. Watching him jump and spin 6-7 times consecutively when food comes, jumping to greet, flinching at him to get a little attitude back all carries a whole new meaning. My wife and I just purchased our first home and were aware of some of the things that needed to be fixed but with numerous inspections we were told nothing urgent. We have since learned the basement floods and our roof is busted. Ramseys Vet bill so far is 11k+ all on credit

Colby
Colby is a 7 year old Dachshund in Smyrna, TN, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy- 7 treatments Total.
Smyrna, TN
Colby is 7 years old and he came to live with us with his brother. At that time I had just lost my 12 year old doxie girl to complications of diabetes, about 4 months before getting them. Colby and his brother Jack which yes are named after the cheese saved me from my devastating loss. They gave me a reason to smile and laugh and play again. We lovingly call them "The boys" because they are family One night about two weeks ago, I was holding Colby and his right front paw was swollen. We took him to the Vet and they sent off a sample to be tested. It came back as a Mast Cell Tumor. We are still so shocked that he has Cancer that it does not feel real. We were refereed to Nashville Vet Specialists. We took him for an evaluation and was told he need chemo. This will be around 3500.00. Colby is such a joy and blessing to our family. He looks at you like he has so much to say. At times I swear he is smiling. He is so loving and affectionate and really so sweet. I cannot imagine 😢 how awful it will be without him. The treatment is so expensive and I don't want money to be the reason we could not help him. I work full time and have obligations that 3500.00 plus an additional surgery of between 4000 and 8000 might as well be a million. I really have no shame and will beg if necessary. He is like a close family member. I have never asked for help before but I am desperate.

Cowboy
Cowboy is a 9 year old Jack Russell Terrier in Centerville, TN, who needs $500 for Emergency Office Visit.
Centerville, TN
I got cowboy when he was 4 weeks old and he was so little. I was in a bad place mentally in my life at that time and i felt like i needed something to give me a reason to wanna get out of bed. I found that in Cowboy. He has helped me in so many ways and is my best friend. Cowboy has had UTIs and ear infections since he was a puppy. We used The Medicine Man for years but he retired, so jow we use Corner Stone Animal Hospital. He had food allergies as well but ive finally found food that doesn't bother him. Cowboy is the funniest dog ever. He's very vocal and loves to talk to you. When he sees someone he knows he runs up talking to them then he smiles at them. Everyone just loves him and he loves everyone. Im a single mother of 2 and a full time student as well. My vehicle is down and it has took everything i had to fix it. Ive tried everything i know to help him but it hasn't worked. He has done so much for me over the years and it breaks my heart every day i watch him hurt.

Fandy
Fandy is a 3-year-old Pit Mix in Nashville, TN, who needs $5,247 for Fractured Hind Leg.
Nashville, TN • Pittie in Pink
Fandy ended up at our local shelter because of her severely fractured leg. It breaks our hearts to think that her life could be in danger simply because there aren't enough funds for veterinary care. Thankfully, Waggle, Bev Lambert's Wonderdog Fund, and our amazing supporters stepped in to make sure Fandy received the veterinary care she desperately needed for her fractured hind leg. With their help, we were able to provide the funds necessary to give Fandy a fighting chance and she is finally safe in our care at Pittie in Pink. Now, Fandy is safe in our loving care at Pittie in Pink and has found comfort in her new foster home. We initially thought her leg would have to be amputated. But after the surgical team at Nashville Veterinary Specialists reviewed her charts, they believe they can save her leg! Fandy has been scheduled for surgery in just a few days' time. This procedure will give her the best possible chance at a happy and pain-free life. Thank you for making a difference in this sweet dog's life!

Edith
Edith is a 2-month-old Mix in Burns, TN, who needs $3,575 for Surgery for Hydrocephalus.
Burns, TN
Edith was rescued by Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue from a very poor community where there were no local rescues to save her and 18 other puppies. Sadly, Edith has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a congenital disease that causes an excess of cerebrospinal fluid in the skull leading to brain swelling. Without treatment, this condition can cause severe brain damage or even death. Edith lives in a foster home with experienced caregivers doing everything possible to make her comfortable. Although she sleeps a lot due to hydrocephalus, she still manages to play with her sibling and wag her tail when given attention. To give this precious pup a chance at a better life, surgery is necessary to drain the fluid. Edith is just eight weeks old and deserves every chance she can get. With your support, she can receive the medical care she desperately needs. Please consider donating to her surgery!

Fletcher
Fletcher is a 10-month-old Pitbull, Boxer Mix in Burns, TN, who needs $160 for Emergency Care.
Burns, TN
Fletcher was found in a ditch, alone and abandoned. His poor body was severely damaged, with an extreme curve where his spine should have been straight and compressed discs from a potential birth defect. His leg is also injured and believed to be from a vehicle accident. Fortunately, Dickson Animal Control recognized Fletcher's urgent need for help and reached out to us at Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue. The rescue took action quickly to get sweet Fletcher the necessary veterinary care. It broke everyone's hearts to think he might have been dumped because of his deformity. Fletcher is full of love and affection. He's gentle and affectionate, always eager for attention and cuddles. He is now in a foster home and getting exceptional care, including water therapy in a pool. Can you help Proverbs12:20 Animal Rescue with his veterinary bills? Fletcher deserves a chance at a happy life with a loving family who will cherish him!

Emmitt
Emmitt is a 2-year-old Shephard Mix in Nashville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Hospitalization and Ongoing PT and Care.
Nashville, TN • Bonaparte's Retreat
Emmitt was found at a church in Nashville & was taken to Animal Control by a good Samaritan. He had to have been dumped because at that time he had no use of any of his legs & could not support his body weight, which was literal skin and bones. A 911 was sent out for a rescue to pull Emmitt and Bonaparte’s came! He is severely malnourished & sweet as can be and is thankful to have a chance. Emmitt is an approximately 2 yr old Shephard mix that now weighs about 14 ½ lbs and has a long way to go in his recovery. Because of his extreme malnourishment his feeding has to be very regulated but he is doing great with his new fosters and gaining strength every day! He is incredibly thankful to be out of the hospital and in a home where he is definitely being spoiled by his new fosters! Emmitt has a spark and a will to live. If he did not there is no way he would have made it to 2 years old in that condition. You can count almost every rib and more bones than I've ever seen in a dog on his body but his will is so incredibly strong! He is inquisitive in his new foster home and continues to show more personality every day! He has a long road to recovery ahead but he is determined! After being released from 10 days in the care of Nashville Veterinary Specialists Emmitt (which is where the bulk of the bills are from ) and can now be seen by our vet Grassmere Animal Hospital as we navigate getting him healthy. He will also require ongoing physical therapy in addition to the range of motion work his fosters are to doing to help him gain strength in his limbs. Although Emmitt has been discharged from the hospital (where the bills are around $10,000) he will need continued ongoing treatment with physical therapy and regular vet visits as we work through the weight gain & determine medical needs for quite some time in the future.

Forrest
Forrest is a 4-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Nashville, TN, who needs $2,000 for Pyometra Surgery.
Nashville, TN
Forrest was actually a family friend's kitten, whose cat Cloudy escaped out of their house and got pregnant. My daughter would walk from school to her friend's house every day after the kitten was born, and became very smitten with her. When our family friends told my daughter that they were not going to be able to keep the kitten, my daughter did not rest until we agreed to let her keep her. Forrest is our household therapist. After a long stressful day at work, she meets us at the door, jumps up on the back of the couch and smothers us with the BEST loving head butts and kisses. She can make every ounce of stress seep out of your body with her loving demeanor and affection. Words cannot describe how special she is to our entire family, and we can't imagine life without her. Everybody loves Forrest!! We have a Russian Blue cat that is her very best friend and watching them interact together makes you think how awesome it would be if humans could be so kind and loving to one another - what a wonderful world it would be. I've never heard her hiss or make an unkind gesture for any reason. She is the most loving animal I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Forrest is an intact female and developed Pyometra after not getting pregnant after multiple heat cycles. We without hesitation had the emergency surgery done to remove her uterus and ovaries. There were complications and she needed a blood transfusion due to her PCV and protein levels. She could not receive a full transfusion due to a reaction to the donor blood so levels are still very low. This was definitely an unexpected, and major family expense with potential costs of $9,000 + and Forrest is not out of the woods yet. She is a member of our family, and we couldn't not try to get help for her, but it has quickly become a financial burden.
Xena Monroe
Xena Monroe is a 7-year-old in La Vergne , TN, who needs $1,800 for Doxorubicin 2mg/mL Injections (Per mL).
La Vergne, TN
A friend of mine found Xena chained to a picnic table in the park. He thought that maybe someone had went back to their car to get something and just had her tied up. He went back the next day with his kids, and she was still there. When I took her in and took her to the vet 7 years ago, she had burn marks where someone had poured a hot substance on her, she was skin and bones. I loved on her and nurtured her back to health. Please help me save my baby, she is the most precious dog you would ever come across and her little sister (the chihuahua in the picture lying beside her) would be devastated also. She loves to sleep right beside me and she just brings joy to everyone she meets. She gets so excited and wags her tail so hard it's like a weapon!:) Xena's best friend is Spice her little sister who is a teacup chihuahua. They play all the time. If one walks away from their treat, the other comes and picks it up. They hid them then look at the other one like they don't know what happened to it. And for some reason when Xena gets excited, she runs with her bottom close to the ground, it's the funniest thing. Xena was diagnosed with Canine Lymphoma. Her prognosis is good if she can start her treatments. She is being treated at Nashville Veterinary Specialist and Animal Emergency. The doctor said that she could make a good recovery and have more years of life with us. She has been hanging in there and she is like my child. I'm begging for help. I lost my mom, sister and cousin with in a year and a half. I had to help pay for funerals. Then I was out of work due to COVID. I'm working now and it would me the world to me to have Xena healthy again. I would do anything to help her.

Oliver
Oliver is a 8-year-old Tabby Cat in Nashville, TN, who needs $1,900 for Surgery for Mass Removal.
Nashville, TN
Oliver (also known as Ollie and @oliverchampagnekitty on IG) is urgently in need of a surgical operation to remove a cancerous tumor from his hind limb. He is the BEST cat and gives the sweetest little nose kisses. Oliver deserves the best. I am heartbroken to see him hurting and I want for him to be free of this discomfort as quick as possible. He is an otherwise healthy 8 year old kitty. He is a sweet, cuddly domestic long-haired tabby who loves catnip, treats, long naps on the couch and sunshine. I rescued/adopted him from the Nashville Humane Association in 2013. The staff there named him Oliver and his coat color was described as "champagne." I am so lucky to call him mine. Oliver makes me laugh all the time. He sticks up his nose at new treats I bring home for him. He is very peculiar in that way. He loooooooooooooooves his catnip! He goes absolutely wild when he sees me reach for the tub. He also loves to sneak outside to eat blades of grass. It is charming. Oliver has developed cancer that needs surgical intervention as soon as possible. His vet connected me with a vet oncologist in early January and we are pursuing the surgery this upcoming week. I want Oliver to have a solid chance at beating this cancer. An operation is the first step at getting there. I work as a school nurse in the healthcare field and I have experienced financial distress over the last couple years. I appreciate any support you can offer to help Oliver get his surgery.

Winston McDreamy
Winston McDreamy is a 7-year-old Black Labrador in Nashville, TN, who needs $1,800 for CHOP chemotherapy.
nashville, TN
I first saw Winston on February 26, 2021. I was actually online doing some research for work and by chance came across the Facebook post about him needing a new home. I fell in love with his cute face and sad eyes. I just knew I had to meet him. I sent a message to arrange a meeting with the family that rescued him. On March 2, 2021 I went to meet him and it was love at 1st sight. Winston and I have become the best of buds. I work from home & he is the best coworker I could have ever imagined. He loves to go on walks around the apartment complex saying hi to all the other pups. He is super friendly and everyone loves seeing him and his little nubby tail. He loves getting to go to the dog park and get love and pets from anyone. He knows that when we go home though, he is #1. After losing my job in 2020, I struggled to get back on my feet. I am working a FT job, a PT job & doing grocery delivery to make extra money for his treatments. The 1st 4 treatments were hard to get through financially & he has 12 more to go. I haven't had enough time w/him Winston was diagnosed with lymphoma on May 20, 2021 at the Nashville Veterinary Specialists. I took him in because he had stopped eating and was very concerned. Dr. Vancil is his oncologist and explained that dogs take well to chemotherapy with this type of cancer. We started treatment the very next day. At this point, I had only had him less than 3 months and told him I wouldn't give up on him. Winston has come to love his little pill pocket treats that his medicine goes in. He is such a champ at taking his meds since they are wrapped in a yummy chicken flavored treat. He loves to lick the water when I pour it from anything, especially the Brita water filter. He still gets a little scared of thunder/fireworks but is soothed when I wrap him in his little weighted blanket and we snuggle.

Kiwi
Kiwi is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever Mix in Hermitage, TN, who needs $2,000 for megaesophagus.
Hermitage, TN
It was a gift from a friend to help me cope with the loss of my father, to give me company and love. He became my best friend and showed me unconditional love, no matter the circumstances we faced together. I chose his name at a family barbecue we were all trying to choose a name together and he was such a little thing running around, and my little nephew start calling him kiwi and I loved it. Everybody in the family loves Kiwi! Kiwi is the kind of dog that loves kids, never gets mad, nothing bothers him; and one of his greatest qualities is that he always "protects the weak". For example, when we go to a dog park, and another dog is bothering or barking at another, he jumps right in and protects the one that is being bothered. He just wants everyone to be friends! I lost my job 3 months ago and I am currently going through a divorce. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea after I had a stroke years ago and I finally saved enough money to get me a C-PAP machine ($1,000+). Also, had to spend another $300 to treat Kiwi's kennel cough. About a month ago he was treated for kennel cough with medication and quarantine. He had a teeth cleaning procedure for the very first time as well as a check up. The doctor said that in the middle of the procedure he threw up. Since then he stopped eating and drinking water as well having diarrhea. My vet told me to bring him to the ER today (06/02). Kiwi is definitely a "talker" and he expresses every feeling! When we are at home and he want to go potty, he sits by the door or in front of the TV to get my attention while looking at me and at his leash back and forth. That makes me laugh every time and I am glad he expresses himself that way so I know when he needs to go out.

Alice
Alice is a 5-year-old Rednose Pit in Clarksville, TN, who needs $500 for nail treatment.
Clarksville, TN
I originally got her when she was 4 weeks old, i fed her with a bottle till she was able to eat on her own, I was fortunate to get her when i did the other party that was there to look at puppies gave me a bad vibe. Alice has lived a sheltered life, where she was spoiled and raised with as much love as i could give her, there is not a mean bone in her body, i have 3 cats in the house 1 that she raised as her own, the others she plays with and takes care of, she loves seeing my Great nephew (10) and great niece (1), she is a very social dog, who loves to be in the middle of everything and wants her belly rubs, when i got her i didn't want a guard dog but a companion not to sound so transparent but it would mean the world to me that i have my baby longer and healthy, she means the world to me, I'm a single guy working endlessly to pay bills and keep everything afloat, and getting hit with this expense was completely unexpected Due to me working so much i have slipped on clipping her nails and one has grown into her Due-Claw and it looks like it may be infected, i applied for all the assistance i could find and got denied over and over, i have no family that can help either, the vet i called can do it and make sure she is fine, but don't take payments when i come home from work she will follow me to my room and run around like crazy cuz she has not seen me in 12 hours, (Cab Driver) she acts like she can understand every word i say, and "talks back" in her own special way, then when i get ready for bed she crawls in and wants to be covered up like a human.

Albie
Albie is a 8-year-old Shih Tzu in Nashville, TN, who needs $1,650 for Oxygen, cardiograph, bloodwork, antibiotic, fluid treatment, chest/lung xrays.
Nashville, TN
Albie came into my life eight years ago, on Valentine’s Day, and I couldn’t have asked for a better companion. I know people say ‘my dog is my best friend’ but he is my BEST FRIEND. He means the world to me, and I’ll do anything to make sure that he’s happy and healthy. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog, he’s a weirdo and he’s not perfect, but he’s PERFECT FOR ME..Albie has a sister dog (Zooey) and a brother cat (Townes Van Catndt), and he loves his daddy Greg very much, but Momma is definitely his number one best buddy. We’re practically inseparable,. He likes to be carried around like a baby, but he also enjoys his independence and will walk off-leash on the sidewalk with momma in front of the house just to show off what an independent guy he is. Greg and I are both currently unemployed, and struggling to pay for Albie’s care. We were able to get him through the surgery, but his current estimate for emergency vet care is $2600, and that will go up if he needs to stay longer.. Albie recently underwent enucleation surgery (removal of his left eye). Initially he was doing well, eating and walking when he came home. Over the next few days he stopped eating or drinking, and his breathing became labored. He’s currently in the emergency vet center in Nashville in an oxygen kennel, and we don’t know what’s wrong. Albie loves cello, harmonica, and vintage Bollywood music, and he’s really into James Blake, but his favorite is when daddy plays the fiddle for him. He also loves when momma plays guitar and sings his favorite song, Luckenbach Texas. He’s not into lightening and thunderstorms, but he enjoys relaxing in the hammock, or watching relaxing videos on YouTube. He loves his stuffed bunny the most!

Maghee
Maghee is a 12-year-old Miniature Dachshund in Nashville, TN, who needs $2,000 for spine surgery , for intervertebral disc disease.
Nashville, TN
Maghee came into my life 12 years ago “straight from his mama,” as I usually say. He was so tiny he fit in just the palm of my hand. We’ve been through a lot together - including 3 cross-country moves to 3 different states. Now we live in an apartment in East Nashville where Maghee likes to think he keeps guard of the whole building. You can find Maghee in our apartment sleeping on his big plush bed, the couch, or taking up at least 2/3 of the queen sized bed in the bedroom. If there’s a blanket anywhere, he’s under it. He’s such a snuggler. He loves going for walks around the neighborhood and going off-leash at the dog park so he can make all the friends. He’s never met another dog he didn’t immediately make his friend. To have Maghee healthy again would mean everything. Without surgery the prognosis isn’t good- we don’t know if he would walk again and he’d be in constant pain. I need my navigator, my partner in crime, my sweet snuggler, or “the monster” as he’s referred to around here. Maghee was checked into Nashville Veterinary Specialists with Dr Cason where he was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his neck. Less than 36 hours from presenting with any pain he lost his ability to walk. He needs surgery to fix his neck so he can walk again. And hopefully run and play and chase lizards and beg for bananas. Maghee’s favorite toys are the ones he has already chewed the squeaker out of. After they’re empty he’ll sit and groom them, holding them between his front paws. His favorite food is bananas. You can forget about eating one alone. He loves chasing tiny lizards that come out in Summer, but he never catches one. I’m not sure he’d know what to do if he did. I’m sure he’d just want to be friends.
