Ireland

Ireland is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Pooler, GA, who needs $12,000 for Pulmonary Valve Stent Implantation.

Pooler, GA

We met Ireland at a fundraising 5k for the rescue he belonged to at the time. I opted to run with a rescue baby, never expecting to spend every day thereafter together. We took him home for what we thought was a two-week break from the shelter... that merged into long-term fostering... which we failed miserably at and ended up adopting him in December 2025 with our Shih Tzu Rosie's blessing, Ireland has a grade 5 out of 6 heart murmur resulting from severe pulmonic stenosis, and two cardiologists have determined that he is not amenable to a standard balloon procedure. The most viable treatment option for him is pulmonary valve stent procedure, which he is scheduled to have the week of June 22, 2026, at North Carolina State Veterinary Hospital. Ireland is the family member we didn't know we were missing until he joined our world. He's a runner, completing 5ks and a 10k before we got his diagnosis and had to scale him back until after his procedure. He still runs, but not the long, exhilarating runs that he enjoyed so much. He is such a patient big little brother to Rosie, our bossy six-year-old Shih Tzu. He's our special fun-loving boy. Although not disclosed to us at the time of adoption, his murmur had been discovered several months before. Therefore, the insurance we have on him won't cover any related expenses, as it's a preexisting condition. The procedure is estimated to cost between $10,000-$12,000.

Sunny

Sunny is a 5 year old American Shorthair in Carrboro, NC, who needs $900 for Lung Radiograph, Sedation, and a CBC.

Carrboro, NC

Sunny became part of my life at six weeks old, from a foster home while I was living on Maui. I was going through a very difficult period after losing both my grandma and my soul cat, Carlos. When I saw Sunny’s photo in a cat rescue group, I felt an instant connection unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It truly felt meant to be, as if my grandma and Carlos sent her to me to help me heal. Sunny is a happy healthy girl, but we have been seeking care through the NC State Veterinary School’s internal medicine department for her chronic rhinitis and gastrointestinal issues. We have recently been conducting food trials, as well as an endoscopy and a head CT, to better diagnose her condition. While she was on a round of antibiotics, Sunny aspirated and has since developed pneumonia. Sunny (legal name Sunshine Rainbow Princess) is full of spunk and curiosity, and she is truly my shadow—she never misses a chance to help in the garden or watch a good show with me. She was a huge fan of her brother, Taco, and is remarkably gentle. Her friend Nova, who is blind, comes over occasionally, and Sunny is always so patient with her. She truly makes a special connection with everyone. I recently used my Sunny fund to cover the procedures required to diagnose her condition. Unfortunately, before I could recover financially, she contracted life-threatening pneumonia just two weeks later. Given this emergency, I am asking for help. She is my everything.

Coacoa

Coacoa is a 4 year old Mix-Breed in Burlington, NC, who needs $25,000 for Glioblastoma.

Burlington, NC

CoaCoa is my 4-year-old dog and my best friend. She came into my life during one of my darkest times, right after a very painful breakup. Since then, she has been my constant companion, helping me heal from the loss of my longtime friends and giving me the strength to keep going when I felt completely alone. Without family support, CoaCoa has truly become my everything—my family, my comfort, and m Recently, CoaCoa was diagnosed with cancer. She has seizures really bad, shortness of breath, and red eyes this news broke my heart, and I am doing everything I can to help her fight. The cost of her treatment and veterinary care is overwhelming, and I simply can’t do it alone. Every day with her is a gift, and I want to give her the best chance possible to recover. After Hours Paws She is sooo loving to everyone. We sleep together every night. When I used to travel for work she was my roll dog. When I’m in the hotel she is beside me. She helps me cope with lost. I am reaching out to the community for help. Your donation will go strictly toward CoaCoa’s cancer treatment and medical bills. Please help us. Your support means everything to us, and together, I believe we can give CoaCoa the chance she deserves.

Freya

Freya is a 8 month old Ferret in Knightdale, NC, who needs $2,000 for DIM.

Knightdale, NC

I saw 2 ferrets in a small cage at a pet store when I was there to get bird food. I couldn’t leave them. Decided to get them immediately, I just instantly fell in love. Within seconds I knew both of their names, Freya and Lilith. They sleep in a 4 story cage but throughout the day they free roam around their room causing havoc and playing with eachother. They’re sister and have an incredible bond. 7/25 I noticed her not really running around like her crazy self. She was laying around barely moving, eating or drinking. 7/26 i woke up checked on her immediately. Rushed her to Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care. We all thought it was heat exhaustion or stroke. Left her at vet over night. Next morning they called saying it’s more then likely DIM. Freya and Lilith’s bond is like no other. They are constantly connected at the hip. They do everything together. The pet store said they only had Freya at first but noticed she was depressed so they got Lilith to and it brightened both of them up so much. They share toys, food & water dishes, hammocks & blankets. They have brightened my life up so much too. I can’t imagine life without either. Ever since I got them I’ve been putting money aside. Just off the heat stroke prognosis that moneys gone and my credit cards are stacked up. I been applying left and right to new ones trying to pull it together but I’m barely getting anywhere. I need my baby to be okay.

April Clover

April Clover is a 13 year old Maine Coon in Asheboro, NC, who needs $2,000 for CT Rhinoscopy.

Asheboro, NC

I was there the day April Clover was born. Her mum was a first time mom, and she wouldn't hold still while she was in labor. Tiny little Clover entered the world as her mom was jumping through the air onto the bed! It was a dramatic entrance! Clover had some health issues as a kitten and has needed extra TLC on and off throughout her life. We have been together every day for the last 13 years. Clover needs a CT Rhinoscopy to figure out why she has had constant nasal discharge that is unresponsive to different antibiotics for the past year. She sometimes struggles to breathe and has lost so much energy. My vet is sending a referral to NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, as they offered the lowest estimate of $2000-$4000. Clover is a mama's girl through and through. She is stand-offish to strangers, but she is my little shadow. Her whole face lights up when I walk into a room, and she gets so excited when I sing or play my flute. She loves to watch the birds outside the window, and before she started having these breathing problems, she would play with her fishing pole toy until my arm fell off! My savings is gone. My family lives paycheck to paycheck. Our other cat Teagan has been ill for the last 5 years and is undergoing cancer treatment with a poor prognosis. Without this procedure for Clover, we won't know what is wrong with her or how to help her.

Ciara

Ciara is a 2018 year old Rough Collie in Burnsville, NC, who needs $2,000 for MRI.

Burnsville, NC

The Ciara and I have been together since the very beginning. I raised her from a neonatal puppy. Ciara is my heart dog. I absolutely adore her. She sleeps on my bed has her own place on the couch and in my eyes is the perfect collie. Up until a few weeks ago, Ciara was living a perfect life. I had no idea we would be dealing with either brain or neurological issues. She’s always been active and alert. On May 27, 2025 was the first hint that something was wrong. She has been staring off into space with a far away look. Wasn’t sure if she was in pain and have had a complete work up of everything but her brain which is next. I have three collies and Ciara runs the show. She’s smart, alert and has a great appetite. But she and I are wanted at the hip. Typically when she feels OK she follows me all around and always has. She and I have a tight bond and I adore this girl probably more than any other dog I’ve ever had. Up until a few weeks ago, she was living a happy and vibrant life. Now not so much. We’re going to North Carolina State neurology department. Most likely they are going to require an MRI to make a definitive diagnosis. The cost of the MRI could be between $2000 and $3500. Ideally, I would like to raise enough for her diagnosis and treatment.

Paris

Paris is a 3 year old Doberman Pinscher in Raleigh, NC, who needs $2,000 for Canine Liver Treatment.

Raleigh, NC

A little over 3 years ago Paris was rescued from an overbreeding situation. She now is the only dog in the household, but has a bunny sibling named Coco Puff. Her name came from her dad's last name being France, so we thought it would be cute/funny to name her Paris. Paris became acutely ill in the last few days and her liver issue progressed very quickly. She had to be rushed to the internal medicine department at NC State Veterinary Hospital e so they could figure out what was going on. It was discovered that her liver was not properly functioning. She had to have surgery to have a liver biopsy and also needed a blood transfusion. Paris is a loving, sweet, and gentle dog. She loves to lay on the couch wrapped in a blanket to sleep. When she is not taking her beauty rest she is running around outside and barking at everyone that passes by. While Paris is shy at first when meeting new people, once she trusts you she loves to cuddle and play with I am a 3rd-year veterinary student who lives on a fixed income. As a veterinary professional, I understand the expenses that occur with unexpected illnesses, and I am trying to do my best to provide Paris with the best care to give her the best chance at survival.

Elvis

Elvis is a 5-year-old Shepard/Lab in Richlands , NC, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.

Richlands, NC

Elvis Prancer is the love of my life. We adopted him 5 years ago from a rescue. He actually rescued me! His name was already Elvis and he was 12 weeks old and he knew his name so we kept it. I added on the Prancer because he prances when he walks and runs. He was found buried alive and had many applicants to meet him, but the rescue chose my application. Elvis Prancer has the run of the household. He has a fur brother named Scout Dasher. They sleep in bed with us every night. Elvis loves to play, go on walks, and make new friends at daycare. He absolutely loves butt scratches, belly rubs, and snuggling. He is such a funny, quirky, and amazing boy. He is afraid of the world and very protective of me (his mama), but at home he is the King. I am currently 8.5 months pregnant, with my first child through IVF it was very expensive and we are still paying that off. Elvis’s bill was just under $8,000 and he now requires physical therapy to maybe walk again. I can’t imagine my life without him. I came home from work and Elvis was paralyzed. His back end was completely paralyzed. I was so scared I scooped him up, all 55 lbs of him and me being 8.5 months pregnant. Rushed him to his vet and they couldn’t help him. He needed a specialist, so I drove him over 2 hours away to NC State Vet Hospital for MRI and surgery. His neurologist is Dr. Sabol. Elvis us special because he makes the bad days good. He has this way of making you smile and laugh even when you feel broken. He lets you know what he wants and tells you vocally when it’s time for him to eat, go potty, or when he needs to go on a walk. He absolutely hates thunder or any bad weather. He loves to wear sweaters to calm him down and will fight you when it’s time to take it off.

Savannah Grace

Savannah Grace is a 5-year-old Havanese in Rolesville, NC, who needs $2,000 for Surgery - Omentalization and placement of pleural port.

Rolesville, NC

I found Savannah Grace on Internet and fell in love with her immediately. I knew as soon as I saw her picture I could not live another day without her, so on Easter Sunday I became her "mommy". Talk about an awesome day, it was the best day! She has been with me 5 years (just turned 5) and is an only "child". Her nickname (that I call her:)) is "poodle pumpkin". She is not a poodle though:) Savannah Grace sleeps with us every night. When we go on vacation, she goes on vacation. Savannah Grace is very smart and I am certain she understands exactly what we are saying when we talk to her. When I say certain words, she tilts her head like she is acknowledging exactly what I am saying. She does not know a stranger and loves everyone. I am currently the only one working as my husband lost his job. We are in need of financial assistance to continue with Savannah Grace's ongoing treatment. We never imagined the costs would be so high & we have exhausted all monies. I appreciate anyone that can help! Savannah Grace has been diagnosed with cancer. She had to have extensive surgery to remove mass, 5 ribs, and portion of chest wall tissue. After surgery we received news that they were able to get it all, BUT then she had complications. She has been in & out of hospital since. We just found out hat she requires another surgery. She is being treated by Dr. Traverson at NC State Vet Hospital. Savannah Grace is so special because she came into my life when I could not find happiness due to the loss of my parents. She is my entire life. My friends are her friends. Her favorite friend is her godmother, Becky. She gets so excited to see her I almost get jealous:). Savannah loves to play with her "pinkbo" (pink bone) and "pinky" (pink elephant). When I say either word, she gets excited.

Magnolia

Magnolia — 77350b

Carrboro, NC

Magnolia (Maggie) was born in Louisiana. I named her after the tree because her fur is the same color as it's flowers. I got her when she was 8 weeks old. We moved to NC when she was 1.5 years old and we've lived here ever since. Jason entered our lives 1.5 years ago. She quickly accepted him as family. She follows him around, waiting to play or cuddle, and begging him to share the peanut butter. Maggie is very energetic and active. People often think she's much younger than she is! She loves playing fetch, even though she can't see the ball as well anymore. We go on long, hilly hikes every weekend. Whenever we take a break, she barks to encourage us to keep going! She loves the outdoors and is happiest out in nature. Maggie sleeps with us every night and cuddles between us for warmth. I lost my job because of the pandemic and I can't pay for Maggie's veterinary care on my own. It would mean the world to me for Maggie to be able to live the rest of her life in comfort. I can't stand the prospect of her cancer continuing to grow and slowly crippling her. Maggie has pheochromocytoma, a rare cancer in adrenal glands. It started in her right adrenal gland, invaded her vena cava, and seems to have spread to her left adrenal gland and a nodule in her lung. She's fainted 3 times, drinks and pants excessively, and has swings of blood pressure. Her vet recommends a course of the drug PALLADIA to stabilize the growth of Maggie's cancer as long as possible. Maggie is my world. For the past 15 years, Maggie has been the only one I could always count on. She wakes up with me in the morning and goes to bed with me at night. She licks my face all the time to show me how much she loves me. Recently, she started licking Jason whenever she gets the chance. Maggie knows the names of all her toys, loves to play, but hates her feet to be touched!

Deuce is a 5-year-old American staffordshire terrier in 28086, NC, who needs $1,700 for CHOP protocol (chemotherapy).

28086, NC

Deuce came into my life at 4 wks old, 5yrs ago. He had 12 other siblings, so the owner could not care for them all. The funny thing is, he wasn't the dog I chose through the pics but he was the one that was given to me. I say, life put us together. As of right now, it's just me and Deuce in my house hold. He is my companion, my protector, and my heart. My sweet boy. Deuce loves to sleep right next to you, wherever it might be, He will be right next to you. He does love the bed though. He WILL use you as a body pillow so beware. He still thinks he is the little potato he used to be. So you better enjoy being squished. He loves meeting new people and he makes sure that he showers you with love. Deuce is family to everyone he makes a bond with. Deuce is love. Because of cover-19, my hours were cut short and my mother and I, did not receive a stimulus check for extra help. This just hit me at a bad time and just the exam and diagnosis were hundreds already. Im not ready to let him go like this. I need him here. He is my family. Deuce was diagnosed with lymphoma. The option I chose was chemotherapy. I love my dog and it is not in my soul to not fight for him, as I know he would give his life for me, as a dog loves you more than anything in the word. He is being treated at NC State veterinary hospital by Rachael Camiener. He is a fighter and I know he will do everything on his part to be with me longer. I just need help. Deuce's best friend is Milo, the Yorkie. He literally gets bossed around by a yorkie and chased, when it should be the opposite way around!Deuce is special because everything I have gone through, he has always been by my side, happy and proud of me. He makes me feel needed and loved at my worst and I can never thank him enough for getting me through my worst days. He has a way of saying "I'm here"

Boone is a 6-year-old Labrador Retriever in Raleigh, NC, who needs $3,000 for a bone marrow transplant.

Raleigh, NC

Boone is a rescue from Harnett County, NC. He was living alone on a small farm when he was obtained by a nearby rescue agency, Underdog Ranch. Boone came into my life as part of a long sequence of somewhat unusual circumstances. As a result of a change in my domestic status, my (other) dog, Little (also a rescue from Underdog Ranch), had to spend a few months back on the farm while I relocated. When I finished my relocation and went back to get Little, I asked if Little had made a friend who might be a good fit for joining us. That's how Little and I met and adopted Boone (then Moose; I spend about 25% of my time in Boone, NC, so Moose was re-christened). He has been our hiking/playing/sleeping partner ever since.

Haley is a 7-year-old Pointer mix in Seymour, CT, who needs $2,000 for a bone marrow transplant.

Seymour, CT

Haley is a rescue that we adopted from Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. She was saved from a horrible situation in Tennessee and fostered out to find a new home. January 31, 2015, I adopted this sweet little angel from her temporary family to come live with us forever. It took her some time to settle into the family and realize that she wasn't going to be shuffled around anymore like a foster child. She has been a huge part of the family from day one. My son loves her and she has crawled inside the very depth of my heart. I have never been so attached to a pet. She is the daughter my fiancé didn't give birth to. She has impacted my life in a number of ways. She has helped majorly with my anxiety as I have panic disorder and have panic attacks. She knows just when I need her. She not only gives comfort to my fiancé, Teela, she is a sibling to our 4 year old son, Brennan, as they have grown up together. Now it's time for us to save her. Please for the love of Haley, find it in your heart to help our girl. She means everything to our family and we will be forever grateful for every cent that is sent to help us out.
