Vesper
Vesper is a 10 month old Border Collie in Chino Valley, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Pin and Plate Placement for Mid-Femoral Fracture.
Chino Valley, AZ
Vesper came into my life when my service dog SD Djinn passed at 15yrs. At 10wks Vesper was a gift from friends at MM Stockdog Ranch to replace SD Tessa (6yrs) who was killed in a traffic accident. Vesper at 10mo is well into her training as a mobility assist, PTSD and medical alert dog on a small farm in AZ with SD Kei, a 3yr old English Shepherd, doing both service dog and farm work. Vesper broke her right rear leg (spiral compound fracture) between the knee and shoulder jumping out of the car at a training facility. Triage was at Yavapai Emergency Animal Hosp. in Prescott Valley. Surgery was done by Dr. S. at Prescott Animal Hosp. in Prescott AZ where a tungsten rod was inserted in the bone to repair it. Vesper is basically on bed rest until her leg heals, about 2-3 months. I am a 79 year old disabled Vietnam veteran with 65+yrs experience with working border collies and using service dogs since 2009. Losing SD Tessa then SD Djinn was a severe emotional catastrophe for me. They were a team, SD Kei was still in training. I am 79! How much time is left to me? I have one more dog to train. My last border collie. Her name is Vesper. I was not going to lose her. I live with my 2 service dogs on a fixed income. My dogs are my life quite literally providing mobility, medical alert and help around the house. Vesper is already alerting for 2 conditions. I paid out what I had, friends helped me a bit, still I had to borrow the rest.

Jill
Jill is a 1 month old Australian Shepherd in Prescott valley, AZ, who needs $550 for Fluids and Antibiotics.
Prescott valley, AZ
This is Jack and Jill and as of today they are the only 2 siblings left out of a litter of 8. Due to unfortunate circumstances we are living in a 5th wheel and recently new work. Unfortunately I had to suffer through the 6 deaths that came to soon. We are currently at the Prescott Hospital and they think it was a viral infection and want to put them on fluids and antibiotics and prayers. I do not get paid till Friday and can not get them any services but prayers. It's to soon to tell. Jack is more playfully and use to bark at his sister's and one brother. Jill is quite and adorable. They are both fighters and strong. I was in an abusive relationship that resulted in death and the family came in and took everything from my son and I. We have been trying to recover emotionally and financially but its been difficult.

Jolene
Jolene is a 3 month old Dachshund in Prescott Valley , AZ, who needs $2,000 for Internal Femur Fixation.
Prescott Valley, AZ
We had just got Jolene 2 days prior to her accident. We instantly fell in love with her. When we brought her home she fit right into our family including her rescued sister who is 10 times her size. We look forward to her coming home after her surgery. While working in the garage she insisted on being by my feet. A small log fell off the workbench and landed on her hind end. She ended up breaking her rear femur bone and required surgery. Prescott Animal Hospital went out of their way for emergent surgery to place the bone back where it needed to be. We have lost an older Dachund last July during a surgical procedure. She was cherished in our family and we waited until now to even try to get another puppy. Jolene filled the missing gap immediately. We can’t wait for her to come home. This was definitely unexpected. The total will be between $3400-$4500 depending on the procedure needed. She will have a long road to recovery even after she gets home. But I guarantee she will be as spoiled as any dog can be u til she is back to her happy little ball of joy

Zoe
Zoe is a 6 year old Mix-Breed in Prescott Valley, AZ, who needs $1,200 for Antibiotics and Steroids with Removal of Teeth.
Prescott Valley, AZ
Zoe is a very sweet and gentle cat. She is the opposite of her sister. She just wants to cuddle with the kids or with me all day. She lives to lay and play in my daughter’s hair. We took her and her sister in as foster kittens at 3-4 weeks old and the whole family fell in love with them. She is gentle and loves to just be loved. I couldn’t imagine our life without her in it! Zoe had one surgery to remove her break teeth already. She has an autoimmune disease that her gums act like her teeth are a foreign object. The gums then try to push the teeth out and causes her gums to get infected. So now Prescott animal hospital needs to remove the remaining front teeth. She is losing weight, her breath smells, she seems to be in pain, and she seems to be very ill. Help please! Zoe is my daughter’s emotional support animal. My daughter had a spinal fusion done and the Zoe helps her with her pain and depression on really hard days. She sleeps with me and helps me ever since my service dog passed way a little over a year ago. My son who is 12 loves when she goes in and lays on his head/pillow. lol. It’s so cute! Her sister would be lost without her too. Please help us! I am a single mother. I lost my job a few months ago. I have been doing Lyft, but live in an area where I don’t make that much per day. I start a new job August 12th, but don’t have money for anything including bills at the moment. I don’t want to lose her due to no money:(

Dennis
Dennis is a 5-year-old Pit Bull, Dalmatian, Basset Mix in Prescott, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).
Prescott, AZ
Dennis came into our lives as a rescue puppy in October of 2018, he was four months old. Dennis was put up for adoption on Facebook and as soon as I saw him I knew that he was apart of our family. I drove to the town next to ours to go rescue him. As soon as I picked him up he snuggled right into me, knowing that I was the mama that he needed. Dennis has made our family complete. Dennis normally goes between sleeping with my son or myself, since he got hurt he can no longer get on the beds or couches without assistance. He does enjoy sleeping in his bed with his favorite toy. He loves to hang out with my son, and he loves sitting on the porch with me in the summertime. He loves being outside, and playing frisbee. Dennis is a HUGE love bug!! He is such a silly boy, he does the craziest things like getting the zoomies and he tries to eat all of the veggies out of our garden. He loves howling with us and in general making noises he always has a story to tell. Dennis is very protective and loves catching lizards and other things on our property. He is truly one of a kind. Dennis tore his ACL and we need to get it fixed. Prescott Animal Hospital has provided us with a quote but unfortunately does not take payment plans. Dr. Kyle Norman is the veterinarian that is gong to be doing his surgery. I am a single mom with a teenage son. This would mean the world to us to have our boy back to normal. As soon as he can get surgery to fix his leg then he can be up and running around as he normally would be. This would help give him his old life back.

Oscar Meyer
Oscar Meyer is a 13-year-old Dachsund in Prescott, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostic Followed by Emergency Treatment.
Prescott, AZ
Oscar was born July 11, 2010. Oscars parents belonged to family members. His mother Dixie was my mothers companion and his dad Dach was my sisters companion. He is the last of 6 brothers and sisters alive today. I helped his mama with his birth.and he was given to me an my birthday of the same year from my mother. Oscar has his companion Daisy a Catahoula mix and they are inseparable. Oscar is very vocal and sounds alot like a guinea pig when hes excited. He is very expressive when needed to get what he wants. He is a absolute lovebug still full of energy and love to go on walks and truckrides whenever he can. Most days he just finds a sunspot and lounges around. He loves when I sing and gets mad when I stop! He is very empathic to and goes where someone needs him often without permission but he is a beautiful warm spirit and he saved my life on more the one occasion Nd I don't know what I'd do without him! It appeared that he had been run over kicked or stomped on an the left side of his face it was bloody severely swollen and he could open his mouth which his bottom jar is crooked. Upon taking him to the I was told it could be possibly 3 things: trauma, whole mouth disease, or a tumor behind his jaw. I was laid off but am supposed to return in January 2024. My spouse was diagnosed with a severe rare terminal heart condition and cant work any more.

Citra
Citra is a 10-year-old Terrier Mix in Prescott, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Blood Testing.
Prescott, AZ
Citra came into my life in 2014, we got him from a shelter in the Phx area. That day I remember so clearly he was scared shaking in a corner scared. When I saw him he looked up at me and I think we both knew he was meant to be apart of our family. We currently live in a home in Prescott and have fallen in financial hardship. For the last 9 years citra has brought so much joy to our family. My son recently turned two and they are seemingly inseparable. He is the protector of our home all while being the biggest love bug. Citra is the most relaxed little guy, he has always been so calm and cuddly. He honestly can make any bad. Day a good day. He absolutely loves belly pets, and long walks in the park. We take citra to the Animal Hospital here in Prescott. We recently found out he may be sick. His tummy is incredibly bloated and he pants like he can't breath. Testing needs to be done but I am unable to provide what it takes to get it taken care of. He recently stopped being able to jump on the bed to cuddle so now I have to pick him up. My heart is broken knowing him time may be cut short. Citra is one of my best friends. He has been my rock in every situation. He is all I have had at some points in my life and I'm not ready to say goodbye.

Tonka
Tonka is a four-month-old Black Lab in Chino Valley, AZ, who needs $2,000 for emergency care.
Chino Valley, AZ
Tonka is my beautiful 4 month old boy that we got from another family member. He has already lost two siblings to parvo. But he's a fighter. His family, daddy, grandma and uncle want him so bad to come home healthy. He loves jumping backwards when it's meal time. I plays with all of us and won't leave my side. He has a big brother that he plays with that wants to sit on his head.:). And a chihuahua keeps the house in line. He is so sweet. Never aggressive, but playful. Until this morning. Tonka is the lover of the home. He just wants to be with us and play with his housemates. He tries to keep everyone young. He has the cutest hop backwards when it's time for food. We adopted Tonka and soon found out that he has parvo. He had two other siblings that got sick too, but did not make it. We have tried at home treatment but today he became lethargic. But he's a fighter. He shows me that he wants to live, but hospitalizing for parvo is expensive. We want to do everything we can to save Tonka. He deserves a chance. But even with the family pulling together, parvo treatment is expensive. He stole my heart the first moment I saw him and he is the life of our home. We just want him to have the life he deserves.

Shadow
Shadow is a 5-year-old Queensland Blue Heeler in Chino Valley , AZ, who needs $2,000 for Fracture Repair.
Chino Valley, AZ
Shadow are in our lives 5 years ago She's the most beautiful gift ever my girls can have it. Her old owner, bought 2 dogs, her & her sister. But he can't trainer both (they want to play) so he give her to us. Shadow was just a puppy when she arrived into our lives and my youngest baby was newborn. So they are the same age! She is so adorable, my girls love her, always are playing together. We made a wood house for her but she only like sleep there in winter... in summer she enjoy stay at the porch or resting under the porch because she had a igloo house and a big bed. Shadow run over the yard all day... she enjoy running and when the rain begins she run and try bite the rain drops its too funny see her do that. The love the treats and she knows a few tricks, she lay down, sit, jump Shadow love when we pet her, she lies down and waits for us to pet her stomach. whwhenever she sees me lies down and start rolling, she love the attention. She's afraid of storms, but love the rain. Water she love the water, every time I turn on the waterhose she want to bite the runningwater... and runs all over the garden so excited for play whit the hose, she streches out and love hugs. Today Shadow was rolled over by a car, and I immediately took her to the ChinoValleyAnimalHospital, she broke her right back leg they can put a SplintLimb and today's bill was over 1300 so I needed to ask for a CareCredit. But the bad news are she needs surgery because her bone its crushed and the costs 4to5000 or amputation 2to3000. I feel so bad because I don't have the way to afford the costs I have4girls (11-5),the expenses are crazy for me, I can't afford this unexpected emergency. My family recommended putting her to sleep, but we don't want that. She's a healthy young dog, we love her. And with the credit I owe is enough, I can't afford that additional cost

Negro
Negro is a 4-month-old Lab Mix in Prescott Valley, AZ, who needs $1,800 for Parvo.
Prescott Valley, AZ
Our puppy Negro (black in Spanish) became part of our family on Easter of 2023. My husband saw someone giving puppies away and immediately wanted to take one. He surprised us with him and we all fell in love with him he has always been so happy, energetic, and cuddly. He is such a little love bug. Negro is another one of our kids. We have three kids two girls,7 and 4, and a one year old boy (Negro’s best friend). They all chase each other around all day. Wherever the kids go negro goes wherever negro goes the kids follow. He even finds a way onto the trampoline with them. As soon as the baby wakes up he yells for him he really is his best friend and partner in crime. Negro is special in many ways but the bond he has with our baby is just the cutest. You will always see the two together it could be running around chasing each other or just laying on the floor together. Other than playing with our kids Negro enjoys relaxing under the trees when he can escape the kids and gain his engergy back. Our sweet Negro was diagnosed with Parvo evening of Sunday June 25th. We believed it was a heat stroke because we were visiting family in Cottonwood where it is way hotter than our home in Prescott. We drove back to Pv to the only open animal hospital in the area and decided to let him stay the night to increase the chances of his survival. We are asking for help because we want to give him a full recovery and can’t afford to give it to him. He is part of our family and are doing everything possible to bring him back home.

Jake
Jake is a 8.5-year-old Bichon in Prescott , AZ, who needs $450 for Surgery, Antibiotics and Pain Meds.
Prescott, AZ
Jake came into my life approximately a year ago. He became my Emotional Support dog, helping me with my PTSD for trauma in my preteen years. He is the World's best dog! He is so loving towards everyone. We currently reside in an assisted living facility. Everyone here knows and loves Jake. At the Walmart, the cashiers all know him by name. Everyone here at assisted living loves Jake. And he loves everyone too. Always greets everyone with a wag of his tail and a kiss. I have often said he is everyone's dog because of how much he loves everyone here. He and I get our exercise walking around the facility. He gets to visit with everyone that way. He brings joy into everyone's life here. Jake always brings a smile to my face. I love his kisses. He always greets everyone with a wag of his tail. Never stops wagging in Walmart. He loves putting on his vest and escorting me around Walmart. He always walks on my left side. Right along side of my purple walker. If you see us in Walmart, Jake would love it if you said hello. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, June 12th, to remove Foxtails from his paws. He is never leaving the pavement again. Unfortunately he needs more care. It breaks my heart to see him suffering so. If you can help, it would truly be a blessing. While I have a decent SS income, the vast majority of my monthly income goes towards "rent" here. In the past month, I have spent more than $500 already on vet bills. It has wiped out my savings.

Sombra
Sombra is a 5.5-year-old Great Dane in Prescott, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Extensive Testing.
Prescott, AZ
I adopted Sombra when she was just a pup. I found her on Craigslist and instantly fell in love. I named her the Spanish word for Shadow because of the color of her coat and because I looked into her eyes and thought it suited her. She has grown up with a Wolf Husky mix named Juno. We are currently living in an RV after being homeless for about a year. Sombra sleeps with me in my bed and is very expressive through facial expressions and vocality. She enjoys all adventures and often tries to hop into random people's cars. She enjoys all treats even when in a bad mood, sometimes eating food from the counter. She is loved by all, being raised and cherished by everyone she meets and lives with. Sombra loves squeaky toys and tennis balls, often carrying multiple toys at once. She enjoys rolling in the grass, which I call her daily "rolls." She is a peaceful dog that enjoys all weather, simply sitting and sniffing the wind. She often takes time to stop and smell the roses, metaphorically and literally, reminding me of the joy in life. Sombra is dangerously sick- struggling to breathe, has a treacherous cough, and constant shivering - sometimes leading to seizure activity, and diarrhea. We have done extensive testing on her situation and have found nothing. She is taking Prednisone which is helping some with her cough but her other symptoms worsen. She will undergo further testing at the Humane Society an emergency clinic. I have no job or funds at this time. She is only five and half, she still has her golden years to live out and adventures to have. Please help us.

MICHAEL JACOB
MICHAEL JACOB is a 11-year-old LAB X in Prescott Valley, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal, Dental Work, and CBC..
Prescott Valley, AZ
I found Michael Jacob (Mikie) about 6 months after my Jacob Harley died. Jacob was only 3 years old and I was heartbroken. I happened to go to my vet's office and found a posting for free male Black Labs! I called immediately and went to meet Mikie. The lady who had Mikie had adopted his pregnant Mom. So Mikie was my Mother's Day present. Mikie has an adopted sister, Breezy Belle and they are besties. Mikie also has Spitzfire Bob, our cat and our bird, Kracker. Mike is very big and sweet and is loved by my son and granddaughters who live close by. Mikie loves all of us and is protective of his family. Mikie has been my husband's and mine since he was a baby. A sweeter boy can't be found. Mikie has the sweetest smile. If we ask him to smile he does just that. He's not too found of other dogs but he loves his Breezy Belle. He's a Lab so he loves to eat. He's had knee surgery which he recovered from nicely. He still runs around though he thinks he's younger than he is and we have to watch him as the other knee is weak too. Mikie has a growth on his eye. The same eye had a growth removed a few years ago. I had an estimate last year and just didn't have the funds. His eye is getting worse. Our veterinarian found another growth on his forearm and that Mikie needs dental care too. I have to take care of Mikie. This time medical care is the only option now. We are retired. We are on a fixed income; I know who isn't. But Mikie is 11years old and deserves to have a healthy rest of his life. After taxes we have $5000 per month. Our house payment is $2236. So we need help for Mikie.

Junie
Junie is a 8-year-old Chihuahua in Prescott Valley, AZ, who needs $1,700 for Enucleation Surgery.
Prescott Valley, AZ
Junie lost one eye already to a previous dog bite injury. She is now going through the same thing, she will be completely blind after this. Any help is appreciated. She has been so strong through everything and we only want to be as strong as her through this. We wish we didn’t have to ask for help, but we also know when to ask for it when it’s needed. She is a fun loving, social dog. She never let her one eye cause any fault to her amazing personality and we know she won’t let this affect it either. We have had to go back and forth between our two houses. Unfortunately a roommate let another dog into the house while we were away without telling us. Junie loves to cuddle, get belly rubs, and jump around when she sees her dad. She makes friends with every dog and cat she’s met, has always been so sweet and kind, made friends with everyone. Has never let her previous injury hold her back, and we are determined not to let this one hold her back either. She has only just lost her other eye. The amazing help of our animal hospital has helped so much already, we just need a little more. Her dad and I recently started new jobs and cannot afford another medical bill of this size. It was very recently that she lost the other eye. Junie’s dad and I are both just starting over. We recently went through a rough patch when she lost one eye, and the worst happened when she got bit again and is losing her second eye. Anything helps.

Buddy
Buddy is a 4-year-old American Staffordshire in Peach Springs, AZ, who needs $2,000 for Amputation Surgery.
Peach Springs, AZ
We were homeless when our beloved Pitt/American Staffordshire mix was run over and died. It broke our hearts. After finding a home and a 2 year Healing period we were ready for a new "Baby ". At the Mohave County Shelter Buddy was the only dog not barking. After a brief play session it was LOVE. That was almost3 year ago. Please help. Buddy loves nothing more than cuddling. A good game of tug is always welcome lol. He keeps Jack Rabbits and Cottontails away from the garden and enjoys a good run around our property. He goes with us everywhere and always makes new friends. He helps keep Daddy warm by sleeping under the covers with him. I have Chronic anxiety disorder and when I have an attack he comes to comfort me. Then he makes me laugh and I can control the emotions. Just watching him play makes you laugh because his whole body is joyful. When he cuddles with you he just sinks in next to and lays a 2000lbs head in your lap with a look that says "I love you " He has a fractured ankle and all the ligaments are torn. Because of the long Recovery process after stabilizing the ankle we decided that amputation would be kinder. He injured himself running off in the snow. He loves snow. We are Disabled. After losing and finding a beloved dog/baby it is breaking our hearts for our Buddy to be in such pain. We currently have 1 income of $1100 monthly. All of you can understand that is NOT ENOUGH. Please help.

Binx
Binx is a 8-month-old Bombay Cat in Camp Verde , AZ, who needs $1,900 for Exploratory Surgery.
Camp Verde, AZ
Binx is an 8 month old Bombay cat. He was adopted from a Humane Society in Prescott about 4 to 5 months ago. Binx lives in a loving household with two kids who love him very much and an older cat named Piper who enjoys being around him, playing, grooming, and napping with him. Binx also is often around a dog, Bailee, who he gets along with. Binx is a very playful, rowdy, and affectionate kitten. He will often carry his toys around the house until he finds someone who will play with him. He is very close with Piper, the other cat in the house, and they will often play together during the day, and snuggle up with each other during bedtime. As mentioned before, Binx will let you know when he wants to play. While he is often playful and energetic, he is also quite affectionate and will sit on your lap when you are watching a movie, working on the computer, or just laying down in bed. He loves playing with the children in the house and he is just all-around an awesome cat! Binx is currently being treated at the at the animal hospital for an exploratory surgery. He consumed a foreign object, and it is not only blocking his stomach, but one of his intestines is very inflamed and full of liquid. His colon is also backed up as well which is causing plenty of discomfort. Binx's health issues were very sudden and unexpected, since the day before he was perfectly fine and healthy (or at least was acting like he was). Money is usually pretty tight and the sudden $2000 bill was very unexpected and we currently don't have the funds for it.

Mushu
Mushu is a 10-month-old Catahula in Paulden, AZ, who needs $1,700 for Exploratory Surgery.
Paulden, AZ
Mushu was a rescue, he goes to work every day with my husband at his automotive shop. We have had him for about a month. 2 weeks ago my husband and Mushu were in a roll over accident and thankfully my husband and Mushu were able to come out of it alive and no injuries. Mushu had run off after the accident but with everyone's help in our community we found him the next day safe and sound. Mushu loves to play fetch, and is still learning to bring it back. But he will play for hours. He absolutely loves our 2 girls with a baby on the way, he is very protective of our kids and our house. Once he knows your ok to be around he is super loving and affectionate. He loves being around the girls and playing with them outside. Mushu loves to talk back to you when you tell him no. He tries to steal my husbands tools when he is working and tries to bury them. He has a special rock at the shop that he plays with and every day has to make sure he plays with it. Mushu has one ball and one chew toy that he hasn't torn up yet, lost or tried to bury Mushu had a blockage that was causing him a lot of pain. He hadn't gone to the bathroom or eaten in 2 days, We took him to the vet on December 23 and got the phone call Dec 24 that he developed a fever and had gotten worse over night. Surgery was the only option. Surgery went well and they were able to get everything out. Unexpected emergency vet bill that we were not ready for. The Care Credit we have for our pets won't cover the full amount of the bill. With having the car accident earlier this month, having him a check up 2 weeks ago and now the surgery

Lady
Lady is a 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in Prescott, AZ, who needs $1,700 for Lumpectomy.
Prescott, AZ
Lady was brought into our life when she was 2 years old. We adopted from a local rescue who had started she was living in the streets eating from dumpsters. She's been the most loving friend anyone could ask for. Last has had multiple surgeries to remove cancerous tumors. Right now with other issues in our life some assistance would greatly appreciated. Lady has her bestfriend Raymond (maltese) who does everything with her. Her favorite toy is Mr. Fox! She will play fetch with herself all day. Our favorite time of the day is going for long evening walks. Freeze dried liver treats are her absolute favorite! She suffers from separation anxiety due to being dumped as a young dog, Raymond really helps keep her company. She is attached to my hip everywhere I go! She found a painted rock at the doctors office one day and insisted on bringing in the car and home with us. She now enjoys sitting with me and i paint rocks with her. She's truly a one of a kind and i can't imagine not having her around. Keeping her healthy is my top priority. Dr. Peters is her vet at Prescott Animal Hospital. She was spayed late in life and due to tha she ended up with mamory tumors that had to be removed. Other than her health concerns with rumors she's been extremely healthy. The tumor she has now is started to bless on her abdomen along with a small one located on her eyelid. Fixed income, working small part time cleaning jobs when I can find them. I've been a single mom for many years. Lady has had Multiple previous surgeries leaving us struggling to come up with the funds this time.

Samson
Samson is a 1-year-old Boxer in Prescott, AZ, who needs $700 for imaging and treatment.
Prescott, AZ
Hi everyone, I’m Samson. I’m a 3 month old boxer, I don’t want to brag but I’m already a big show off. I love to jump and run around. I can speak to my owner David. I love him and I know he loves me. I met my owner at one of his friends neighbors house a week ago and we instantly bonded. I grabbed his hat right off his head while he was playing with my siblings, lol. It was so funny. We have only been together for a week and I am so happy. I sleep next to David and I suck on his earlobes. Lol. I am learning how to go potty and walk on my leash. We spend so much time together because my master David has heart disease. He promised me that he has a lot of time left since his last surgery was such a success. I wish I didn’t get sick all of the sudden, I know that stresses him Hi, I’m David, I found this little guy a week ago at a house by one of my friends. I am 59 years old. I’m on social security disability now after surviving a few heart attacks and more recently, open heart surgery. I’m single and live in a friends house with a big yard. I’m on a fixed income but with my medical condition the expenses can be overwhelming. I instantly fell in love with Samson Samson came home with me. He is a rambunctious bundle of wow. He took to his new home right away. A couple days later he was slowing down. I took him to the prescott animal hospital where he was seen by Dr Taylor. She didn’t like his blood results and is concerned that he may be in serious distress. That broke my heart because I just found a life partner in him that my life so desperately needed I’ve been on social security disability 3 years now. My income after Medicare is low. I can pay my room and board but that’s it. I know a pet is a big responsibility but I’m a smart guy and figured after shots, he would only cost me food. I can’t imagine life without him now

Nova
Nova is a 12-year-old Alaskan Malamute in Prescott, AZ, who needs $1,018 for tumor removal surgery.
Prescott, AZ
Vikki K. is distraught. Her service dog, Nova, needs immediate surgery to remove a suspicious tumor. "One day, when I was brushing Nova, I found a small mass hidden under her fur," Vikki tells Waggle. "Touching it didn't seem to bother her, but I made an appointment at Prescott Animal Hospital (PAWS) to have it examined by Dr. Lauren Peters. By the date of her appointment, the mass had grown in size, and we knew that the best course of action was to have it removed and tested, which also includes bloodwork." Vikki is having trouble paying for Nova's surgery, and it's been devastating for her. "I have been given a four-legged angel in my life, and her name is Nova," Vikki says. "11 years ago a dear friend of mine had a litter of pups that needed homes. Out of this litter was one adorable pup that came to me, and I couldn't resist. I strongly believe that she chose me to be hers. My Nova became my service dog being there for me as my beloved companion to assist me emotionally and physically." And Nova has become a tremendous partner to Vikki. "My Nova and I are inseparable. She goes with me everywhere, including church which she loves very much. She is naturally kind and caring. On our walks, she never barks at other dogs. She is very obedient and so well behaved. Her character amazes me, especially her love for her little (dog) sist. Shevi, she watches over her with so much love as a mother would," Vikki says. This year has been financially devastating for Vikki, as Nova's doggie sister, Navi, was diagnosed with bone cancer. "I exhausted all my funds on treatments, meds, and doctor visits for Navi to sustain her life for as long as possible," Vikki says. "It would mean the world to me to have the funds for my Nova's operation. She is my heart and my life."

Sir Cuddles
Sir Cuddles is a five-month-old Bohemian Shepherd puppy in Prescott, AZ, who needs $1,200 for emergency surgery.
Prescott, AZ
Sometimes your life changes when you least expect it! That's what happened to Bonnie P. She was in a Walmart parking lot recently and started chatting with a couple who had a puppy. "I asked them if I could pet him, and we struck up a conversation," Bonnie tells Waggle. "I found out they were homeless, camping, and couldn't work because they couldn't leave the puppy alone at the campsite. So now I have a puppy!" Bonnie doesn't regret bringing the pup home one bit. He fit in instantly. "His name was Lakota when I got him. My daughter said we should name him Duke. My boyfriend said we should call him Cuddles cause he cuddles with us on our bed. My granddaughter called him Sir. So I decided to name him Sir Cuddles, the Duke of Lakota. I recently rescued a seven-year-old German Shepherd whom he loves to follow around." And though this puppy has a royal name, he is very similar to other puppies who like to chew on everything they should not! He now needs emergency surgery at Prescott Animal Hospital. "Sir Cuddles ate something that he shouldn't have. He has a blockage that has made him sick. He hasn't eaten or drank in four days. He just lays in the corner, and if I can get him out of the corner, he barely wags his tail. Poor baby is sick, and I'm worried about him," Bonnie says. Bonnie can't afford the operation and is pleading for generous pet lovers to give to his campaign so he can get the care he needs. "Last month, I lost my income," she says. "I haven't got the money to pay for his surgery. I'm at a loss over what to do. I was trying to make some cash last week to pay for my electricity by doing deliveries when my tire on the car had a blowout. Now I'm just devastated, and he is suffering in pain."

Nigel
Nigel is a 4-year-old Rottweiler in Dewey, AZ, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.
Dewey, AZ
My family got Nigel at weeks old. He has been apart of our family ever since. We have two other dogs, Herman the Rottweiler and Dax the shepherd mix. We chose Nigel for his name because he’s a goofy dog and the name was just fitting. A funny story about Nigel. He discovered what a trampoline was for at our other house. He would spend half the day outside jumping on it like a kid. Nigel has been spoiled from the day he was brought home. He has slept in the bed with us since. Nigel loves going on car rides and feeling the wind in his face. He will do anything for a treat, or any food in general. He even stole a whole burrito from me one time. He loves cuddling and playing with our other Rottweiler. Our other Rottweiler was recently in the emergency room for a rattlesnake bite on top of Nigels visits to diagnose him has maxed out our limit on spending money. It would mean the world to get Nigel out running around and playing again with our daughter and other dogs. Nigel is a 130 pound dog and was recently diagnosed with a torn CCL in his knee. The only fix is surgery to repair it. Since he’s so large, it’s an extensive and expensive surgery. The healing time will take three months along with therapy. Dr. Skinner at Prescott Animal Hospital will be doing the knee surgery on Nigel. Nigel loves his two brother dogs and will even pout if one is gone at the vet. He also has a one year sister and they’ve become very fond of each other. He lets her crawl all over him! The first time Nigel heard the Mypillow commercial he howled at it the entire time, and has done so to this day. Nigel will hoard toys from the other dogs but will share with his sister.

Pugsley
Pugsley is a 1-year-old cat in Prescott, AZ, who needs $1,400 for Femoral Head Ostectomy.
Prescott, AZ
Pugsley came into our lives when my son needed an emotional support animal. Pugsley was adopted with his brother, Jack, from the pound and the gentleman who rescued him found out that his kids were allergic to cats. I found them on Facebook and immediately knew they belonged with us. We drove 45mins to get them and they were curled up together in the sink which they still do to this day! Pugsley sleeps with his 7 year old human brother! He always knows when Johnathan is upset and will go, curl up on his feet and purr. He is very loving and attentive. He loves ANYTHING fluffy. He is a very soft a talker but when he is excited he chatters! Little chirps and meows! He absolutely loves to go for walks on his harness. His favorite place to walk to is the creek by our house. I am a single mother and have had a hard time with Covid and do not have the extra funds to pay for the surgery, The thought of having to tell my 7 year old that we might not be able to help his baby is breaking my heart. He means the world to us and to his furry brother. Pugsley has always had tenderness in his hip and we think he got in my box spring and hurt it. He started limping and when we went to the vet we found out that the tenderness was from a fracture at the growth plate that probably happened when we was very little and the resent injury made it worse. He will require surgery or will be in pain all of his life and not be able to walk. We are using PAH He loves when it snows! We go play outside in the snow! He chases the falling snow and snow balls Johnathan throws. He loves his likable treats and to be brushed! He and his brother both meet us at the door everyday when we come home! Any time anyone knocks on the door he goes running like a little fluffy guard kitty! We also love going to grandmas and visiting! Car rides are one of his favorites!

Tigger
Tigger is a 4-year-old short haired tabby in Mayer, AZ, who needs $1,900 for a hind leg amputation.
Mayer, AZ
We adopted Tigger from the Yavapai Humane Society after him and his siblings were given up to them from by a farm. When we met him he so playful and was climbing up on us and purring happily, so obviously we took the little orange tabby home. He grew up so fast and loves to give little kitty kisses and is so full of love and cuddly energy. He’s a big derpy boy and really just loves people. Tigger is super cuddly and loves to be held. He’s a thick little tabby cat who likes laps and headbuts and will give you kisses. He’s not super social around other animals but he makes up for it for his super dorky nature and loud motorcycle purr. He’s a big baby and is so loud and needy but he’s so loving. With COVID going on and many people losing their jobs, we’ve been in and out of jobs all year. It’s painful to see him always ready to explore yet being in pain every time he walks Tigger even as a young kitten was a barn cat and was always outside so it was hard to keep him inside. But with a big yard and a place up against the state land we decided he’d be happier being able to go outside. He has chairs and a bed outside for him to stay but recently we brought him inside we realized his leg was swollen and twisted oddly. We took him to the vet to see what the problem was. Tigger is super vocal and loud his purrs are super deep and rumbly. He’s super playful and loves catnip and bubbles but he never likes using his claws when he’s playing. His eyes are always so big and he’s a really good hider. He’s a big goof and a super derpy boy who will just amaze with his occasional stupidity.

Jilly
Jilly is an 11-year-old Domestic short hair in Prescott Valley, AZ, who needs $1,700 for diabetes treatment and dental extractions.
Prescott Valley, AZ
Jilly came into my life as a kitten in 2009. I saw a listing on Craigslist, "feral cat next door that recently had kittens, if you can catch the kittens you can keep them"...that was 11 years ago. So I caught Peanut Butter and Jilly... And named her Jilly because Peanut Butter and Jelly was too obvious, we had to make it a little bit different. They are registered emotional support animals. Peanut Butter has been lost in 2016, we think somebody took her, she was beautiful. So Jilly has only me as a companion now. She loves to play in the bathtub with her toys. When she was a kitten she slept in the bathtub and it seems to be her safe place. She follows me around and will sit or lay with me wherever i am. She is all of an emotional support kitty, I have past trauma. Because of my disability, (I deal with complex PTSD), and fixed income, my financial needs are pressing at times. This is a strain but it would mean so much to and be so comforting to have her healthy and whole again! So i'm doing all that's possible to make that happen. She is now about 11 years old, which in human years I think would be around 55. She has been fine, never has had any problems, but now that she is getting older, she has diabetes and is needing some dental work done. She is being treated by Dr. Chambers at the Prescott Animal Hospital. They are great! She is now being tested for diabetes and if that is under control, she can have the dental. She "talks" a lot... constantly. Very much a talker, and loves to be brushed every night. We have a "routine" and she lets me know when it is not being followed! I live alone and she's so cute and provides that little extra support and companionship. I love her, she makes me smile and laugh. And very smart... and so polite, omg! So sweet! I know i was meant to have her.

Gracie
Gracie is a 2-year-old Mixed in Dewey, AZ, who needs $650 for Exploratory surgery and Intestinal repair.
Dewey, AZ
We got Gracie from YHS in February of 2018. She came to us as an EMS for my 6 year old son. She has 3 doggie siblings, a purebred Husky, whom we lost in April. A Border Collie whom in 12 years young and a Queensland who in 11 years young. All very active and LOVES thier family. She is normally a very happy puppy. Gracie sleeps with my 6 year old son. When he is sad, she lays on his lap with her head and kisses him and loves on him until he feels better. She also helps my daughter, my other son and myself through some of our mental break downs. She likes to go for walks with the kids and is very protective of her family. We are struggling due to covid and just getting back to work... She is an ESA and makes everyone's day better just by looking at them. She needs to be able to go around with her kid again... She started acting funny and vomiting everywhere. She couldn't keep anything down. Not even water. We took her in and was told she had a foreign object in her stomach and her intestines were damaged. We came to Prescott Animal Hospital and Dr. Kilian because no one else would work with us in our financial struggle and save my ESA. She is very hyper. When we take her into the back yard, she runs around the fence line several times like she's at a doggie race track. She likes to help cook, she tastes the food to make sure it tastes ok. She will let us know when her water dish needs a refill. She will pick it up and bring it to us no matter where in the house we are.

Rāa
Rāa is a 2-year-old Short hair in Prescott valley , AZ, who needs $700 for Surgery .
Prescott valley, AZ
My baby Rāa was found in an apartment laundry room and was posted on Facebook. As soon as I saw her little face I contacted the person that found her asking to meet her. I couldn’t even touch her when we met she was so scared of people. I just played with her and talked to her. I had to have her! I came the next day to take her home. I got her spayed and vaccinated at the appropriate time. Rāa loves to cuddle and sleep on the bed with me. She enjoys sitting on the window sill watching bugs and birds. She always wants to play with dangly toys or paper balls. She is very vocal when she is bored or when I come home from work. She is the cutes most rambunctious little cat. I love her with my whole heart. I work about 38 hours every week while paying rent and full coverage insurance while making car payments and phone bill payments. I can’t pay for this surgery and I can’t lose my baby. I want her to be healthy and I want her to feel good and be a happy kitty. Rāa has a massive hairball blocking her stomach. She has been on hairball control food so I thought there was no problem when in fact is has been building up for over a year. She has been throwing up nonstop and can’t pass it from either end. She had an x-ray at Prescott Animal Hospital and needs surgery to remove the hairball. It is so big she can’t keep food down and isn’t getting the nutrients. My cat is special because she sits up like a little meerkat when she is interested in something or interested in playing. Rāa is special because she is now comfortable around other people and has learned to trust me completely. She purrs the second you touch her body and she loves kisses. She plays fetch with the squeaker from squeaky toys but is not interested in the actual toy haha!

Sammy
Sammy is a 2-year-old Italian Greyhound in Prescott, AZ, who needs $383 for blood work and an ultrasound.
Prescott, AZ
Received Sam from a couple who did not want him because they were told he was a chiwauwa and hes not. I was grieving the loss of my dog I had who died of bladder cancer at age 12. We saved each other from our grief. He makes me laugh with his unstopable energy and love. He is very affectionate and never gets tired of playing.
