Ginger

Ginger is a 9 month old Mix-Breed in San Francisco, , who needs $10,002 for Testing, Treatments, and Bronchoscopy.

San Francisco

Ginger came into our lives only 7months ago and has broken our hearts wide open. We rescued her from a T and T Pet rescue and everyday with our girl has been sweeter than the last. She was born in Stockton where conditions were quite poor for her and have done our best to give her a life full of puppy kisses, snuggles, and PLENTY of treats. While our girl is home, this journey has just started. Ginger was rushed to SF Animal Medical Center on Friday, January 30th after struggling to breathe. Admitted in critical condition, she spent two long nights in the ICU undergoing bloodwork and testing as doctors searched for answers. X-rays revealed her lungs are severely diseased, functioning at only 40–50%. We are now waiting to learn whether she has Valley Fever or a different fungal infection. Ginger radiates pure joy in a small body, silly, sweet, and endlessly curious! She is filled with so much love she doesn’t know how to contain it, greeting the world with boundless energy and wide-eyed wonder. Anyone who meets her & looks into her soulful eyes, knows how truly special she is. Ginger is only 9 months old & has already been through so much. With emergency testing and ICU stays, her vet bills are nearly $8,000. We are deeply grateful for any support! Every bit helps Ginger breathe easier, heal, and grow into the happy, healthy life she deserves.

Photo of Zeeke

Zeeke

Zeeke is a 3 Year Old American Shorthair in San Francisco, CA, Who Needs $2,000 for FIC Surgery.

San Francisco, CA

I adopted Zeeke and Trixie as kittens in spring 2022 in Humboldt. After moving to San Francisco, they’ve lived with me full-time and are part of my daily routine. Both are emotional support animals who help me manage PTSD from my Marine service, and they’ve been my constant companions ever since. On December 8th, 2025, I rushed Zeeke to San Francisco Animal Medical Center (SFAMC) after he began crying in pain, struggling to breathe, and vomiting. The veterinarian on duty quickly diagnosed him with a life-threatening urethral obstruction, along with severely elevated kidney values and a dangerous spike in potassium—a combination that can be fatal without immediate intervention. Zeeke is truly one of a kind. He’s the kind of cat who doesn’t just live in the home—he becomes part of the heart of it. Zeeke has a gentle, calm energy that fills whatever room he’s in, and he has always had an incredible ability to read people’s emotions. When family or friends visit, he sits with whoever needs comfort the most, quietly laying his head against their hand or curling up Right now, the biggest challenge I’m facing is the overwhelming cost of Zeeke’s emergency care. His condition—urethral obstruction with dangerously elevated kidney values and potassium—is life-threatening, and the veterinarians at San Francisco Animal Medical Center

Khuen is a 5 year old Dogue de Bordeaux in San Francisco, , who needs $2,000 for Bloat.

San Francisco

My dog is a 5-year-old female Dogue de Bordeaux. I’ve had her since she was 3 months old. We used to go on walks three times a day, and her favorite time was always our midnight walk — she loved it. But over the past few days, she hasn’t been herself. She doesn’t come to me, even when I repeatedly say, “Let’s go walk,” which she used to respond to with excitement. I’ve also noticed that her belly Recentl I noticed a concerning change in her behavior. Over the past few days, she has stopped responding to me when I ask her to go for a walk, which is very unusual for her. She has also become less active and doesn’t come to me like she used to. The most alarming sign is that her belly feels unusually hard, which has never happened before. My pet is a 5-year-old female Dogue de Bordeaux. I got her when she was just 3 months old, and we've been together ever since. She is strong, loyal, and very affectionate. Her breed is known for being protective but also gentle with family members, and she definitely shows those traits I’m in a tight financial spot vet bills for diagnostics and possible treatments are overwhelming. I don’t have the funds needed right now, and I’m humbly asking for support. Your help means giving us both a chance to heal: her health restored, and my mental wellbeing

Nova

Nova is a 10 year old Chihuahua in san francisco , CA, who needs $1,600 for Cardiologist Performed Echocardiogram.

san francisco, CA

I rescued Nova from Muttville Animal Shelter in San Francisco. Me and her have been a happy family since December 2022. She was 9 years old at the time! Now 11 in October 18. Ever since having her shes been glued by my side, following me everywhere. Nova and I have moved around quite a few times since being together but each time she has been my rock. Nova has a level 4-6 heart murmur which causes breathing and heart complications. On Oct23, Nova will be having an important cardiologist visit that will help us navigate her health and plan our next steps for her to live a more comfortable life. She will have her cardiologist appointment at SF Animal Medical Center with a phenomenal cardiologist. If left untreated Nova may only have a year left. I love Nova because she is my velcro dog. She loves being outdoors hence why I bought her a stroller. Due to her heart she cannot walk much anymore, but with the stroller I take her everywhere. Nova lets me dress her up and she has so many outfits. Shes curious and friendly - she has never barked at a dog when when they bark first. She loves to "nest" and sleep and watch King of the hill. Nova is my daughter through and through. I have invested in her medication, stroller and vet visits all on my own. If left untreated Nova may only have a year left with me which crushes me for she is my world. Help would change Nova's life literally.

Photo of Moca

Moca

Moca is a 8-year-old Boxer Mix in San Francisco, CA, who needs $2,000 for Tanovea.

San Francisco, CA

In 2017, my husband and I adopted Moca from SFSPCA, her 4th home. Drawn to her goofy personality, we were smitten when she rolled over for belly rubs at our first meeting. Moca's sweet nature and beauty instantly stole our hearts. We showered her with love, treats, and her first toy, a squirrel plush. She effortlessly fit into our lives, getting along with everyone and loving the company of guests Moca's my constant shadow, our bond unspoken yet profound. More than a pet, she's our beloved baby girl, completing our family like the final puzzle piece. Her care during COVID and joy for walks deepen our connection. She would take turns going to the rooms we were working on making sure to give us kisses and her plat time with her fav toys. Moca embodies both intelligence and sweetness; she adores cuddles and kisses, reveling in being showered with affection. Her magnetic personality attracts not only us but also our family and friends, who adore spending time with her. There's a calming aura about her that puts everyone at ease. During my husband's father's battle with cancer, Moca intuitively provided him with extra love. She knew. At the beginning of the year, Moca began showing signs of slowing down, which we initially attributed to arthritis. However, after undergoing lab tests, the veterinarian recommended consulting an oncologist. Sadly, Moca was diagnosed with leukemia and lymphoma. It's devastating news for us; there's nothing we could have done to prevent it. We want more time, we want Moca to enjoy life at home. Last year, during my husband's year-long layoff, we faced significant financial strain and emotional turmoil. Moca, my loyal companion of 7+, has been my pillar of strength. Now, despite my efforts, I find it challenging to afford her treatments the way I would like too.

D.O.G

D.O.G is a 10-year-old Doberman in Greenbrae, CA, who needs $1,999 for Chemotherapy.

Greenbrae, CA

Currently my dog and I are staying with my parents because I need a couple of surgeries. During my waiting period we found out he has lymphoma. I started treatment as soon as I could. Treatments started to look promising. Then, they didn't. We are trying the next level of chemo. It is expensive. I'm a disabled veteran who lives off disability. Without my parents help so far, he wouldn't be here My dog has a beautiful nice soft bed. While at my parents house he likes to sleep in their room becaus3 it has the clos3st access to the doors. So, he can protect us. He loves spending time with my elderly dad, I think he is watching over him. I take him for daily walks if he feels up to it. That has changed lately due to his condition. Every morning I'm woken up to my boy smiling in my face. I smile every time I see that. He does the same to my parents and it makes them laugh. When we come home, give treats, play or if he's just happy, my boy is smiling. People who don't know that he does this thinks at first he's growling....I assure everyone, it's the opposite. This is the only medical condition he's had in his life. That's why it came as a shock. He's always been very healthy, active and great fur. He's always has his shots because we are bi-coastal so we fly often. There are 3 hospitals that treat my dog. Redwood pet clinic, SF animal medical center and pet emergency and specialty. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and needed surgery to remove that and now am getting my collarbone surgery. I'm a disabled veteran and that's my income. My parents have helped me as much as they can, however they are retired and have others to worry about.
