Jett
Jett is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Scheller , IL, who needs $5,500 for Cataract Surgery.
Scheller, IL
Jett came into our lives in 2017 as a puppy from an unexpected litter. She was the runt of this litter. We came up with Jett because she is jet black. We like to call her Jetty, or Jetty Spaghetti. In 2024 Jett was diagnosed with diabetes. She has since developed cataracts and she is having a hard time navigating. We have taken her to a pet ophthalmologist specialist at the university of Illinois and he would like to do cataract surgery while her vision is still able to be restored. Jett is one of a kind, she is the sweetest girl that will do anything asked of her. She has been my soul dog & my son’s best friend. She gives unconditional love to my family, and has been the biggest blessing. The surgery she needs for a better quality of life has came unexpectedly, and I am struggling to come up with the cost. I would do anything to have her eyes healthy and to have my happy girl back. I love her so much.

Precious
Precious is a 10 year old Mix-Breed in Iona , MN, who needs $2,000 for Adrenalectomy.
Iona, MN
Precious was a farm kitty. I got her back in 2015. I remember the first time I held her, it was so special. She was so scared and held onto me but wouldn’t let go. All she wanted was to be held and loved. This is an emergency situation and very urgent. I took Precious in for a checkup to follow up after her previous health issues. All her bloodwork and urine samples showed that she had liver disease. She was treated with IVs and meds for a week, however her condition has only worsened. Her liver values are now 5x worse. The vet suspects she has an adrenal tumor. She now needs an adrenalectomy. Precious is a tripod kitty, she had her leg amputated back in 2021. Since then she has defied all odds and has adapted so well to only having 3 legs. She loves to talk, she is very vocal. She LOVES treats, when you say the word “treats” she will go crazy. She is the most kind and loving cat I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. She loves going under blankets and taking naps laying on me everyday After receiving a $1,151 vet bill due to her liver disease. I spent all my life savings on her and even then, I still needed help with the bill. However I don’t regret it at all, as I love her. I now do not have anything to my name. She needs this surgery sooner than later.

Bamboo
Bamboo is a 10 year old Shih Tzu in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for Soft Tissue Amputation.
Chicago, IL
Bamboo is a beautiful little family dog bringing love and joy to her 5 family members. She is a rescue dog who was abandoned in a remote warehouse district. She was taken to a nearby dog shelter where we rescued her as soon as we laid eyes on her. She developed a lump on her front leg and was determined to be cancerous. The staff at Summit Animal Hospital confirmed Bamboo had cancer and amputation was the recommended next step. The surgery costs anywhere, depending on the vet, from $5,000 to $10,000. Our family loves Bamboo and Bamboo loves our family. When we took her in she fell in love with our young children immediately and always likes to play with young children. She is a wonderful companion sleeping with every family member, hanging out with us, she loves taking naps and loves to play. Bamboo natural gift is to make anyone who sees her smile. We currently have only one income in our family and it would be difficult to raise $5,000 to $10,000. We found a teaching veterinary school who could do the surgery for approximately $5,500. Giving Bamboo a second life would mean the world to our family, we lover her dearly!

Mocha
Mocha is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Chicago, , who needs $2,000 for Radiation Therapy for Chondrosarcoma cancer.
Chicago
I have 3 dogs that are inseparable and we love very much. Most of our free time is spent hiking & exploring trails with them they mean the world to us. 5 years ago I drove to Genoa City, Wisconsin from Chicago to finally meet Mocha, she was at a foster home she was a rescue dog from K9 lifeline Rescue. When I first saw Mocha, I knew she was meant to come home went me. I love her dearly. Mocha was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her nasal cavity that attacks her cartilage called chondrosarcoma. We have already spent almost $5000 diagnosing this rare form of cancer and the only treatment that would give her a hope of life is a battery of radiation therapy. Mocha loves cuddles, belly scratches, head massages. Mocha is a very affectionate dog especially to human beings. She gets along with children and other animals. She has 3 sisters and they love each other. I do not want to separate them. I am in a fixed income, and do not have the funds for this. If you are a dog lover and feel that you'd like to contribute to giving a beautiful sweet dog a second chance at life we would be extremely grateful, we want to do whatever we can to save her. Thank you

Kenji
Kenji is a 11 month old Mix-Breed in Decatur, IL, who needs $2,000 for Soft Tissue Surgery.
Decatur, IL
We rescued Kenji and his brother Oso from a poor living situation where they had to fight to eat. We brought him home at about 8 weeks old and have given him and his brother the love they deserve. They have learned their food is theirs and they no longer have to be the first to the bowl. Kenji got his name from the Japanese meaning of strong. Kenji’s illness showed signs on July 22nd prior to finally finding out the issue. Our family had been traveling from vet to vet with them all doing test after test to tell us there was something showing in his radiographs but not know what it was. We have finally found out that surgery was urgent. He had intussusception where his intestine was moving into the other intestine blocking his GI. Kenji loves to play with his brother. He loves to chase balls. His favorite part is when he puts us on high chase to try to retrieve the toys from him. He is usually a very active and playful pup. I had the ability to pay a majority of the vet bills. Due to the extensive amount of visits due to unknowing of the cause each vet charged. At the end I was then put into a bind with another large estimate for surgery after my finances had been depleted.

Mittens
Mittens is a 12-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Treatment.
Chicago, IL
My furry friend came into my life in 2012. I always wanted to rescue an animal and I started on my journey. I wanted a kitten or a puppy. I've never had a pet of my own, so I couldn't decide. The type of pet I acquired really didn't matter. I simply knew that I wanted to help a pet in need. I went to my neighborhood animal hospital. This where I met a rescue animal that stole my heart. My rescue pet was found by animal hospital staff in a box found in the hospital parking lot. She was found pregnant. People adopted the kittens in her litter but left her behind. I did not want to leave her. My pet is one of a kind. She is so smart and very sweet natured. She loves everyone she meets and always wants to cuddle. Pets are her favorite. She loves to follow me and to sleep close. My cat is amazed my the tv, she is often caught watching cartoons. When she first came home with me, we watched the movie Balto. There is a cat in the movie that looks like my pet, her name was Mittens. I decided to name my pet Mittens. She always is so caring and follows me around like she is trying to watch over me. She is truly my guardian angel. We both saved each other during a rough time. My pet was recently diagnosed with right sided nasal carcinoma. She has nasal cancer and a tumor has began to grow very large. As the tumor grows, it is pressing against her brain cage, causing nasal, eye bleeding and facial swelling. She is very uncomfortable. She is currently being treated at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital by Yishan Kuo, DVM, MS and Kim A. Selting, DVM It would mean everything to me to see my pet healthy again. She is such a sweetheart and it hurts me to see her suffer. I am doing the best I can but radiation treatment is very expensive and I need help. I am contributing thousands of $$ to her care. She deserves to live!
