Freddie

Freddie is a 12 year old American Shorthair in San Leandro , CA, who needs $1,645 for Elspar -L-Asparaginase.

San Leandro, CA

Freddie came into our lives almost 9 years ago. We found each other one day at a park while I was walking for break at work. It took a few weeks before he would let me touch him. I would feed him several times a day even when I was off. One day it was raining and I decided to take the chance to take him home. Freddie was very thin with a gash on his neck. He made a full recovery. Freddie was diagnosed with granular lymphoma in April of this year. He has been fighting ever since. He has insurance but it ran out after first chemo treatment. Freddie is being treated at VCA Bay Area Specialist. Freddie is a big part of family. He if known as the snuggler and daddy cat to many fosters over the years. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He deserves the world. We want to have Freddie with our family as long as possible. He is a fighter and full of love. His insurance ran out right after first chemo treatment and it has been a struggle. All costs are going on credit at this point. We are in dire need of help.

Misha

Misha is a 2 month old Mix-Breed in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Treatment for Aspiration Pneumonia.

Oakland, CA

Misha is a 2-month-old rescued kitten found alone in our backyard on Memorial Day. She lives with us in a quiet, loving home. After initial vaccinations, she developed aspiration pneumonia and is now critically ill. We are providing round-the-clock care with a nebulizer, antibiotics, and syringe feeding. Misha was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia after showing severe breathing issues and loss of appetite. She was seen at Bay Area Veterinary Specialists and prescribed antibiotics, but needs further intensive care. We're providing home treatment, but her condition remains critical without hospitalization. Misha is a gentle, curious, and affectionate kitten who quickly bonded with our family after we rescued her. She loves being held close and purrs softly when comforted. Despite being sick, she tries to stay close to us and responds to our voices. She's brought warmth and joy into our home in such a short time — we love her deeply. We’re doing everything we can to save Misha, but the cost of her treatment is beyond our means. The estimate for hospitalization and intensive care was over $6,000, which we simply cannot afford. Having her healthy again would mean the world to us — she’s part of our family,

Kahlua

Kahlua is a 10 year old Havanese in Oakdale, CA, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Mass Removal of Soft Tissue Sarcoma.

Oakdale, CA

Kahlua was adopted from Pupz N Pals at 8 weeks old and is now nearly 11 years old. Her name was chosen even before we laid eyes on her, a name we had already fallen in love with. When we finally met her and saw her sweet brown and tan coat, we knew instantly that she was the perfect match for us. We are reaching out to share a situation that weighs heavily on our hearts. Our fur baby, Kahlua, has recently been diagnosed with cancer (soft tissue sarcoma) from VCA Bay Area Veterinary. We are committed to doing everything possible to provide the treatment she needs to fight this illness. Kahlua’s surgery to have her mass removed is scheduled for this month and we are hoping for a full removal Kahlua is truly Mama's girl, there is no denying that! Working from home has allowed me the blessing of spending every moment with her. She has a special way of communicating with her love, whether it is through her excited barks when we come home or the way she cuddles closer during quiet moments. I often find myself lost in her soulful eyes, feeling a deep connection that goes beyond words. Kahlua’s treatment are $7,000, which covers surgeries and medications (this does not include any other medications, or treatment she may need after surgery). While we are doing our best to manage these costs, we are reaching out to ask for your support, as this is a lot 4 us

Sophia

Sophia is a 4 year old Siamese in Pleasant Hill, CA, who needs $2,000 for CCNU Chemotherapy.

Pleasant Hill, CA

Sophia is a rescue cat that I adopted when she was 8 months old. She and her sister, Chloe, were the last two of their litter so I adopted both. I have been Sophia's mother ever since. She lives happily with my other cats (family of 6 total). Sophia is a sweetheart and loves belly rubs. She and I have developed a very close bond through her illness. Sophia suddenly became ill in March with what appeared to be an upper respiratory infection. After exhausting all efforts with my general vet, I took her to an internal specialist at VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists and got the unfortunate news that she has a nasal tumor, most likely due to lymphoma. I would like to move forward with some type of treatment for her. Sophia has been a wonderful cat. She gets along well with all her fellow cat siblings and she and I now have an extremely close bond. She feels my unconditional love for her and knows I am doing everything in my power to help her feel better. She has responded positively to one dose of Elspar so that is telling me chemo may be a good option for her. Sophia purrs very loudly. She's a happy cat This is a sudden unexpected expense and I did not have pet insurance in place prior to her diagnosis. I am using as much credit as possible to pay for the vet care, but I am ask for support as it's beyond what I can realistically afford. I just want Sophia to be happy.

Koa

Koa is a 9 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for Xray, Ultrasound, Biopsy, Sedation, Histopath.

Oakland, CA

My heart is heavy as I share that my four legged best friend, Koa, needs help. We’ve been inseparable for nearly 10 years since I rescued him as a 4-month-old from the San Diego Humane Society. Koa has been a central part of our lives ever since. Koa is a gentle soul who’s brought us endless joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Now, Koa needs us as he battles a tough diagnosis. We recently discovered a lump on Koa's thigh, initially hoping it was a pulled muscle. After further testing, it was identified as a likely soft-tissue sarcoma, possibly a subcutaneous hemangiosarcoma. This aggressive cancer may have spread, which we’ll soon find out. If contained, we can explore surgery or even amputation. The uncertainty is devastating, but we’re determined to give Koa the best. Koa is more than just a pet—he's family. He's a smart, loyal companion who’s been by my side through everything. He knows tricks like "bow" and "park it" and loves classic dog activities—digging, car rides, fetch, and rolling in the grass. Once a social butterfly, Koa now sticks to a close group of dog friends but remains a people-loving pup, happiest when visiting his favorite spot, Tiger's Tap. The thought of losing Koa is unbearable, but the financial burden of his care is overwhelming. We've spent $1,500 so far, with another $3,500 needed for tests, and costs will rise with surgery or treatment. We're asking for your help—any amount will directly support Koa.

Bleaker

Bleaker is a 7-year-old Mixed in Oakland, CA, who needs $2,000 for emergency bladder surgery.

oakland, CA

Bleaker is my baby, my protector, my emotional support animal. He and I live in Oakland California and unfortunately times have hit us hard. He’s been there for me for every bad thing that has happened and it’s time for me to do the same. Bleaker is needing to be hospitalized due to UTI's and a block in his urithra. He passed this but suffered kidney damages and has high potassium levels now. Bleaker is the sweetest boy. I got him from a coworker 5 years ago and he’s been my side kick ever since. He’s moved with me from Arizona and has always been my buddy. He loves cuddles and pets and loves. He waits for me by the door every day so he can get pets right away. He’s the sweetest cat I’ve ever met, to his brother, others and me. Due to COVID-19 I had been out of work and just started working again within the last 2 weeks so I have yet to get a full paycheck. With being out of work I was able to save and bought a car that took all my savings, and now I can’t take care of my baby because I didn’t know I’ve taken him to the VCA due to them being the only emergency vet near me. He has crystals in his urine and this time he has become blocked. Due to the treatment being so much, I couldn’t get it done when he needed it so I’m risking his life unfortunately because I can’t afford him staying in the hospital for 48 hours. Bleaker is so special. He loves scratches so much he will lay all his body weight on you so he gets the best ones. His little face looks like an old man and it’s the cutest little face you’ve ever seen 🤗 this little boy loves his brother so much and they’re always galloping around the house together making ruckus.

Dobson and George quickly bonded -- and the rest is history. They have spent almost 15 years together doing everything, and while they don't always share the same opinions, at the end of the night, they share the same bed, bathe each other and defend our household from incursions of other cats, bugs and crinkly paper.

Herbie the LOVE BUG!

Herbie the LOVE BUG! is a 6-year-old Mixed-Breed cat in Alameda, CA, who needs $700 for emergency drainage of an abscess and tooth removal surgery. .

Alameda, CA

Herbie the Love Bug aka Four-Eyes. He is a rescued stray who was living on our block for the last 2 years. We noticed him and his friend when we first moved in and slowly they became out little porch buddies. Herbie is almost totally blind, so when his friend disappeared (we think hit by a car) he grew very lonely and never left the porch. He is very sweet. Always wanting affection. We always made sure he had food, water, and a small little house in case it got too cold or rainy for him. Sadly this poor guy got beat up by another cat or a raccoon and got a terrible cut on his face. We watched him get sicker and sicker and a huge abscess grow. It broke our hearts to stand by and do nothing so we took him to three places that turned us away due to him being a stray and they weren't concerned with his emergency situation.
