Boris Badenov Taylor
Boris Badenov Taylor is a 9 year old Manchester Terrier in Round Rock, TX, who needs $12,000 for Surgery to Remove Thymoma and Splenic Mass.
Round Rock, TX
I adopted Boris from the shelter; the previous owner returned him and said he was ‘untrainable’. We have been together for 9 years. He lives with Bullwinkle [16], his older brother, and Natasha [6], the love of his life. They are all named in sequence; I rescued a senior dog named Rocky, who has passed. I rescued Boris right before a traumatic event, and he has cared for me ever since. Boris has a thymoma mass near his heart, which has caused a mass on his spleen. These masses have also caused focal seizures. The vets at VCA Capital Area believe he only needs surgery to remove the masses, and has many more years ahead of him. Without help, he has 4-6 months if his spleen does not burst before that. His favorite thing to do is run, which isn’t safe due to the splenic mass. Boris loved to come to work with me while I worked at a dance studio for adults & children for 3 years. Then, I taught theatre for 5 years. Boris knows how to help people navigate their uncomfortable feelings. He even got his own staff shirt! When anyone was feeling overwhelmed or just needed some love, they could always ask for ‘Boris Time’, and he would help them with golden eyes & heart. We are navigating end of life care with Bullwinkle, and Natasha had a surgery to remove a tail cyst - unfortunate timing. We have already invested $9k into his vet care, imaging, and diagnoses. Us and Natasha would be devastated to lose both Bullwinkle and Boris at once.

Roxy
Roxy is a 5 year old Great Pyrenees in Austin, TX, who needs $15,000 for Tumor Removal Surgery and Radiation Treatment.
Austin, TX
I rescued Rox from a trailer park when she was only a couple months old and shes been the best thing in my life since. Shes the most patient and loving soul ive ever met and absolutely loves to go on road trips together and share a little bit of every meal with eachother. She is a great protector and loves to sit and sleep on the couch where she can see and hear everything at once. I love her She has been diagnosed with a Spindle Cell tumor on her neck, the Oncologist at VCA Austin says it can be removed but will need a full course radiation treatment afterwards. This would give her best chances and has an average control time of 5 years which would allow her to reach adulthood happily and healthily. Rox loves spending time with her brother, shes older than him so shes teaching him the rules and and is such a loving and patient older sister. If shes not playing with him her favorite things are to beg for some small handouts and to play rough house with me. Her absolute favorite time though is when her grammy comes to visit and she gets spoiled like the queen she is 24/7 The doctor says the treatment is going to cost around 15k, i already have paid over 9k in vet bills in scans and tests just getting to this point and am desperate to do anything i can to make this happen for her.

Mond
Mond is a 11 year old Australian Shepherd in Austin, TX, who needs $25,000 for Surgical Tumor Removal.
Austin, TX
Mond came into my life 11 years ago and quickly became my shadow and best friend. He’s an 11.5 year old half Australian Shepherd and half Border Collie with the sweetest soul and endless loyalty. It’s just the two of us at home, and he’s been by my side through every chapter of life. His name, Mond, moon in German, is an ode to my heritage and the calm, steady light he’s always been in my world. Mond is under my care, with my primary veterinarian helping stabilize his health after a very difficult year. Last year he underwent radiation for nasal carcinoma and responded well, but soon after was hospitalized with a new diagnosis of diabetes. During that stay a tumor was spotted on his anal gland. After confirming it is cancer, we are seeking help for surgery to remove it before it spreads. Mond is the happiest dog I have ever known. He loves hiking, swimming, spending time with his mom and bestie, and playing with his toys and sticks. He’s incredibly intuitive and always seems to know when someone needs comfort. Even through his health challenges, he has remained smiley, affectionate, and incredibly sweet. He’s been my greatest source of comfort and unconditional love. Over the past year I’ve spent months caring for Mond through radiation, hospital stays, vet visits, and managing his diabetes. Just when it felt like we could finally breathe again, another hurdle appeared. I’m doing everything I can but the financial strain is overwhelming.

Moose
Moose is a 10 year old Weimaraner in San Antonio , TX, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Lobectomy for Pulmonary Carcinoma.
San Antonio, TX
Moose is currently residing with my parents. When I deployed a couple of years ago and returned during the pandemic I quickly realized moose had become attached to his grandparents I could separate him from that and all the love he recieved from the Bocanegra’s as a whole. He was more than just my dog he was our family dog. Moose has been in the family for 10 years we won’t stop fighting for him. Recently, we received devastating news when Moose was diagnosed with a 10 cm primary lung tumor.. The tumor was officially diagnosed by the oncologist, Dr. Jeff Weinstein, at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, TX, on April 3, 2025. While it’s a relief to learn that the cancer has not spread, we know that time is ticking, and immediate surgery is needed to give moose a chance Moose is very stoic, but the smartest dog I know. He definitely knows how to get a treat out of his honey and papa those are his grandparents and he also knows how to cuddle just right on the couch and remind us he’s also a human that belongs on the couch covered with a blanket. Unfortunately with the compiling vet bills since October trying to treat moose and no emergency fund I’m finding my self going paycheck to paycheck trying to find out how to get this surgery paid.

Milo
Milo is a 8 year old Boston Terrier in Kyle , TX, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal Surgery.
Kyle, TX
I’ve had Milo for 8 years, he was the runt of his litter I had to bottle feed him when he born, I’ve watched him grow for 8 years and he still has a good quality of life. 3 years ago his butt grew and he had to have surgery and the surgeon said he was rare case of his finding was once he opened him up. A couple months the growth started back up again and we’ve tried everything, now the last route is surgery again. VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin Texas. He is a talker when it comes to others especially at the vet. He loves his toys and taunting his dog sister and mom, loves and enjoy being a rock finder in his backyard. It’s major expensive without an emergency fund, I had to use my emergency fund for him the first I hate to see him struggle to poop. He has a good quality of life in him.

Bug
Bug is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Austin, TX, who needs $2,000 for Radiation Treatment Plan.
Austin, TX
Bug came into my life during my most turbulent years. I had just escaped my childhood home & moved to a new town. I could barely afford rent, & had no furniture outside of an air mattress. I knew I needed to learn to trust & to love unconditionally. Bug had been at the shelter longest. I swore to her as I made the decision in front of her cage that she would be my forever kitty. Bug has always been queen of whatever roost she is placed in. She has moved to many homes, apartments, towns, & even states with me. She recently flew with me on a trip so I could continue to care for her. Bug commands respect from dogs & radiates a confidence that changes the minds of even those who do not, as a rule, like cats. We watch over each other. When I had no human to talk to, I talked to Bug. And as a result, she has learned to respond. She is now a talker, & expresses her moods to the people around her, because she know she deserves to be heard. She has transformed from a sedentary fearful malnourished thing, to a radiant, confident personality. Our growth over the years has been synchronous & a joy to be a part of. By all analysis done so far, Bug is a healthy 4 year old, despite having been with me since 2012. There is one small problem: A very treatable cancer that has caused swelling around her spine. She has been scanned up & down, had imaging, urinalysis, full blood panels, & more. Her radiation treatment is expensive but the results are promising. Diagnostics to obtain this diagnosis & vet visits, have run me, so far, $7565.51 The treatment plan in total after diagnostics is $8784.50 I don't earn enough to upkeep with basic costs of living & the payments required to complete the treatment. But Bug deserves better.

Raider
Raider is a five-year-old American Bulldog/Mastiff Mix in San Angelo, TX, who needs $1,900 for radiation and chemotherapy.
San Angelo, TX
Raider is just five years old, and he's fighting for his life. Without chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he won't live longer than just a few months. That would be devastating for his family, especially his human mom, Mary-Caitlin S. She tells Waggle her husband is in the military. When he's deployed, Raider is always there for her. "Raider has been my rock and guard dog every time my husband is away. I couldn't have survived those times without him," she says. Mary-Caitlin and her husband adopted Raider when he was just three months old. He has been their faithful and loving companion ever since. "We will never forget the day we adopted him. We could not walk away. We just knew he was the puppy to complete our family," Mary-Caitlin says. "He had paws the size of my palm, already weighed a whopping 30+ pounds, and his personality was like no other. Fast forward five years -- his personality hasn't changed a bit; even though he is sick, he's still a pup at heart." Now Raider weighs a whopping 125 pounds and is still a puppy at heart. He is playful and loves to swim, destroy cardboard boxes, and protect his family. When Mary-Caitlin got the news Raider had a large mast cell tumor, they had it removed immediately. "The veterinarian was able to remove a portion, but not the entire tumor. We were referred to VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists, where we did further diagnostic testing. Raider will only have a few months without further treatment. He needs radiation and chemotherapy to survive his cancer," Mary-Caitlin says. Right now, Mary-Caitlin and her husband can't afford the treatment. They're panicking and devastated. "We have already spent a large amount of money on surgery and other diagnostic tests," she says. "We are about to have our first baby, and I will be out of work without pay for maternity leave. Additional funding will save Raider's life and make him more comfortable." Mary-Caitlin is hoping Waggle's pet lovers will help pay it forward and give to Raider's campaign so he can continue to be a part of their family. "Raider is so unique," she says. "He's a gentle giant, and we have always said he will be the best big brother to our baby one day. We can't imagine not having Raider around to love our new baby. Our dogs are such a huge part of our tiny family, and a world without him would be devastating."

Roscoe
Roscoe is a 9-year-old Beagle in Round Rock, TX, who needs $1,999 for Stereotactic Radiation.
Round Rock, TX
Roscoe aka Beagie aka Roscoe Beaglesworth has been my best friend for almost 10 years. I got him in college and he literally introduced me to my now husband! After my husband and I got married, we adopted his sister beagle named Saucy! A few years later, I got pregnant with twins and Roscoe never left my side. He is now the best big brother to our one year old twin boys. Roscoe is my best bud at home with me helping to raise our twin boys. He likes to lay outside the boys' room while they sleep, and he is their guard dog in the backyard while they play. His favorite times of the day are when we go on walks. Although right now, he doesn't have much use of his right arm, so our walks are limited. We bring a wagon along so he can still enjoy the walks! My husband was out of the job for 4.5 months due to covid-19. He just started his job again, and that is why we were able to afford the MRI. But since we just paid that, we no longer have the funds to pay for treatment. We have 1.5 year old twins to support. Roscoe was just diagnosed with a nerve sheath tumor on his spinal cord and brachial plexus. This has affected his use of his right front arm. The neurologist and oncologist both think he only has about 3-5 months to live if we do not treat with the necessary stereotactic radiation. This is a specific kind of radiation that pinpoints the tumor only as not to damage the spinal cord. Roscoe is the most loyal, snuggly and sweet dog. He loves to burrow under the covers and sleep in between our legs. That is his favorite spot to be. He loves to hike his legs up on my shoulders and give me kisses while I scratch his belly. He has been my loyal protector since college - howling anytime an unknown person is at our door or he suspects we are in danger.
