Duke
Duke is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Vacaville, CA, who needs $7,500 for CT Scan, Biopsy, and Surgical.
Vacaville, CA
Duke is our beloved young pit bull and has been part of our family since he was a puppy. He lives with our family and has always been our loyal protector, constant companion, and a source of unconditional love. His gentle nature, unwavering loyalty, and joyful spirit have made him an irreplaceable member of our family. Duke is truly more than a pet—he is family. Duke is being treated through VCA Loomis Basin Hospital after a large mass developed on his left chest wall near his rib. A fine-needle aspirate identified a malignant spindle cell tumor with osteosarcoma as the primary concern. Additional diagnostics, including a CT scan and biopsy, have been recommended to determine the exact diagnosis and treatment options. Duke has the gentlest heart and loves everyone he meets. He greets us each day with a wagging tail and is always by our side. He loves going for walks, playing at the dog parks, and simply being wherever his family is. Even while facing cancer, Duke continues to fill our home with happiness, comfort, and unconditional love. His resilient spirit and sweet nature are unmatchable. Our family of eight has experienced unexpected financial hardships that have made Duke's cancer diagnostics and treatment impossible to afford on our own. Despite our best efforts, the cost of his care is beyond what we can manage. Any support would give Duke the opportunity

Cito
Cito is a 7 month old Yorkshire Terrier in Roseville, , who needs $7,500 for Oxygen and Antibiotic Treatment.
Roseville
Last December, my husband barely survived a Neuro ICU coma. To help heal our children's trauma, we got Cito, a teacup Yorkie. He brought the immediate laughter, comfort, and joy we desperately prayed for, holding our family together. I know many face impossible choices, but I am begging you to hear our story and help us save the little pup who healed our broken hearts. Our 7-month-old teacup Yorkie, Cito Ruiz, is fighting for his life in the ICU. He has pneumonia after a seizure caused him to aspirate. He is in an oxygen chamber, struggling to breathe, but he is fighting. He is getting stronger. He wants to live. He is staying at the Vet Hospital nearest us. He is the light of our day although we have no idea what brought this on. Last Dec, my husband survived a Neuro ICU coma. To heal our kids, we got Cito, a teacup Yorkie. He brought the comfort and joy we prayed for. I know many face hard choices, but I'm begging you to hear our story and help save the pup who glued our family back together. His zoomies, licks and morning cuddles have healed every single one of our 7 member family. When Cito comes home - because we believe with all our hearts that he will - we will spend our ives paying this kindness forward. We already believe to never take things for granted, given our family fear of losing a loved one, we will continue to live this and bless others.

Alfie
Alfie is a 7 year old British Shorthair in Elk Grove, CA, who needs $8,000 for Cystotomy with HCM-Safe Anesthetic Management.
Elk Grove, CA
Alfie is a beautiful soul we adopted a year and a half ago. We were originally looking for a kitten and had no intention in adopting an adult cat. However, he quickly changed our minds. He had the cutest cheeks and friendliest personality. We knew we had to bring him home. Alfie bonded quickly with the entire household, including his kitty sister, Pippa. He was the best decision we ever made. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when Alfie was diagnosed with a large bladder stone that requires surgical removal. Prolonging treatment risks painful urinary obstruction, which can be deadly. To make things even more difficult, he also has HCM, a heart condition that requires specialized care. The estimated cost of surgery at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Specialists is around $8000. Alfie adores music and loves to lie by the piano while it's being played in our home. He is also very patient—even with the tiniest of little humans who are far from gentle. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. Everyone who comes in contact with him comments on his confident and friendly demeanor. Meeting Alfie has inspired so many of our friends and family to get cats of their own. We are a low-income family made up of two young kids and two student-parents working hard to better our lives. We have used most of our savings on vet bills, and taking on thousands of dollars in debt simply isn't something our family can realistically manage.

Paw McCartney
From The Shadows Of A Hoarding Case To Emergency Surgery, Docile Survivor Now On A Long Road To Recovery
Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno
Poor Paw McCartney has had it rough from the start. He was rescued from an animal hoarding case. He reeked of cigarette smoke & cat urine when we got him. His mom was so stressed out that she overgroomed & essentially ate his ears off. He recently tore out his claw playing and needs a toe amputation. He can't seem to catch a break! We want him to heal and be available to find a loving forever home! He deserves it He will need to have 1 toe amputated. He tore the tissue around his claw so deeply that bone was exposed and the tissue is dying off. He is being treated by the veterinarian team at VCA Loomis. Paw is truly the sweetest feline I have encountered in all my years in this field. He is docile, sweet, calm and loving. He loves to be held like a baby, purring and slow blinking. We are a very small non-profit helping where we can. We have had 2 emergencies pop up and have no funds to get these kitties the treatment they need and deserve to be healed, happy and healthy. Medical costs in cases like this are incredibly high, and we are determined to get Paw across the finish line so he can finally find the forever home he’s deserved since day one. No amount is too small. Every dollar goes directly to Paw’s surgery bill and post-op care. ❤️🩹 4/14/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported sweet Paw McCartney on his healing journey! Thanks to you, he is well on his way to recovery and has received the best medical treatment and care. This boy deserves to live out a life full of health and love. Thank you!

Kilchi
Kilchi is a 2 year old French Bulldog in Grass Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for Intestinal Blockage/Perforation Surgery.
Grass Valley, CA
Hello! My name is Kilchi, I was born 1/24/23. I am only 2 years old and I share a birthday with one of my human siblings! I was a gift for my mom from my dad and mom thinks I hung the moon! I live with my doggy sister Cheeba and my human brother too. My dad was not too nice to my mommy so we haven't seen him in awhile (I chased him away, hehe) Mom says I am the best boy! Sometimes I let my stomach do the talking though and I ate something bad when mommy wasn't looking. I got very sick and mom got very scared so we went to the VCA Loomis Basin ER. The vet said it's a piece of metal. Not good. She said I could probably "pass" it and mom looked (Eww) but never saw it. I am still very sick and I wont eat anything, for 3 days! I even throw up water if I have too much. I know my mom is so sad even if she tries to hide it from me. It's my job to make mom safe and happy and I take that very seriously! I can tell she isn't happy right now. I don't know why I'm hurting or why I throw up all the time but I live to protect my mommy and make her smile and laugh. And for food, I really really love food. Having just survived domestic violence and separation, resulting in half the amount of income. I have been struggling to keep my head above water. I sold everything I could to pay for the ER vet on 1/31. I have nothing left and I cannot lose my little man! Please help us 🙏

Riley
Riley is a 5-year-old Mix in Grass Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for CLC repair.
Grass Valley, CA
I have had Riley since she was 8 weeks old. Her nickname is Chubchub due to her love of food! She lives with myself, fiance, parents, and 2 dog brothers (Ranger is 5 and Jackson is 6 months). Riley has allergies and takes daily medication to control her symptoms. She is an amazingly sweet girl who loves to explore new places. Riley loves to cuddle, take naps, and eat always! She just started swimming in the creek. She lives with her 2 dog brothers and myself. She loves to be with everyone and loves her butt being scratched. She is definitely the center of attention and spoiled by everyone in the house! She does anything to make you smile. She loves to smile and wiggle her butt when happy. When she wants attention she will grumble at you until you pet her. The cutest thing she does is climb under the blankets for cuddle and nap times and will remind you she wants under by licking your face. No matter how bad of a day I am having Riley is always there. Riley tore her left and right CLCs and will need surgical repair. Right now we are looking to fix the right CLC as she is almost lame in that leg and the vet can feel and hear her meniscus pop when moving it around. She is on three different medications just to move around a little bit. I just graduated school and also have a few medical emergencies that is making finances tight. I would love to be able to take Riley on hiking adventures again with her brothers.

Mebrek
Mebrek is a 13-year-old Husky in Sacramento, CA, who needs $1,800 for Surgery.
sacramento, CA
I have had Mebrek for 13 years, since he was a puppy. He currently lives with me, living his best life as an old man. He has traveled with me across the country and my son is his best friend, the two of them have grown up together and share a special bond. Mebrek is always by my side, he is very attached to me and I am too him. Mebrek loves to sit in front of doorways, blocking the way so that people have to walk over him. Even to this day in his old age with his health problems, he lives for escaping from any enclosure and takes off running the moment he is free. He always comes back home though. He is stubborn and incredibly wise. Sensitive and loving. Mebrek has always been such a loving, gentle, and faithful friend and companion. He has brought so much joy to me and my family and friends over the years. Always happy to see familiar faces and make new friends when we are out-and-about for a walk, or having fun at the local dog park. He draws a crowd everywhere we go, and at home he is always by my side. A few months ago he developed visibly, protruding lumps from and around his anal area. The tumors are now larger and causing him great discomfort. They have begun to break open and smell bad. The vet said he needs surgery to remove the tumors. They will then be biopsied. VCA Basin Veterinary Clinic will provide treatment. I am a single dad experiencing partial unemployment due to COVID. When the option was provided to me to euthanize my best friend because I couldn't afford treatment, I was devastated. I believe Mebrek still has a few good years in him and deserves to live in comfort.

Dusty
Dusty is a 6-year-old Tabby in Roseville, CA, who needs $1,500 for Endoscopy/ Biopsy/Gastric Scope.
Roseville, CA
Dusty chose us. We planned to rescue just one kitty from an open access shelter of 300+ cats, but as we were leaving Dusty climbed into my lap and decided she was coming home too. So we got two! Dusty now lives with her brother in Roseville (her sister we rescued with her passed from a previously undiagnosed disease this past year). Dusty is aloof around her brother, since she's the matriarch and he knows it, but she's loving and will groom him when he's calm and sleepy. She's very docile and calm until suddenly she isn't and it's usually when she spots a piece of paper and has to attack. She's the very definition of a lap cat and can always be found there. My partner and I both have lost our jobs and have recently been rehired and working back up. But with her sister's illness and all previous vet visits with Dusty, we can't afford to be proactive for long term care. Since Dusty chose us, I want to give her the best love. Seeking to get answers to her chronic condition: she was diagnosed with Triaditis 13 days into the 15 day waiting period for insurance. After the first hospitalization she relapsed and the vet wants to know why. So we need to get her an endoscopy/ biopsy for greater longterm care odds, or continue to pay for each relapse with no answers. She responds well to treatment which gives us hope! Dusty is all about the cuddles and naps - but they have to be while she is on a human. She sleeps on my head, chest, leg - any part she can lay on. In order to show she needs love, she "flops" onto her back for pets. She chirps since her voice box doesn't work and she LOVES to hunt laser pointers and balled up paper. She's an adventurous patio cat that lives for chin scratches and love.

River
River is a 0-year-old Bernedoodle in Granite Bay, CA, who needs $1,800 for Fracture Repair.
Granite Bay, CA
I am seeking financial assistance for my 6-month-old puppy, my world, my River. He was in an accident yesterday and tragically fractured his leg. He is such a happy, active, loving pup that it is tearing me apart knowing he is at the vet alone right now. I work for a nonprofit where I help victims of trauma, and unfortunately, I do not make enough to cover his medical expenses. Anything helps. River is such a sweet boy. His favorite activities are hiking and terrorizing mama. He comes with me to the office every day and is loved by my coworkers and clients. My plan is to get him trained to become a therapy dog soon. He loves playing fetch and twirling for treats. He is loved by everyone who meets him and always greets you with a wagging tail and wet kiss. Due to covid, I recently moved in with my dad to help him (he has stage 4 cancer), so he needed help with some bills and just general care. I am providing for both of us off of very limited funds. River is the most important thing in my life and I just want him home safe. I was at work and I left River with my dad for the day (he usually comes with me, but I had a very busy day and felt he would have more fun with grandpa). My dad was playing with him and River jumped up to get a ball out of my dad's hand and fell backwards, landing on his leg wrong and snapped it. I rushed home and took him to Loomis Basin VCA emergency vet, where he is currently being treated. I have never laughed so hard as I do now daily. He brings so much joy into my life and is so goofy. He has such a personality that everyone is entertained when they meet him. He loves sleeping on his back and taking up the entire bed. And filling his mouth with water, to then just open it and walk around the house creating a creek for mom to walk through.
