Luna
Luna is a 10 Year Old Mix-Breed in Lawndale, CA, Who Needs $7,000 for Spine Surgery.
Lawndale, CA
Luna came into my life February 2016, complete unexpected. I had promised my self I wouldn't adopt another pet, as I was still grieving the loss of a beloved companion two years prior. My hear wasn't ready to open again, and it certainly wasn't my intention to form anew deep bond. But Luna had a different plan. When I saw her I realized immediately that some connections are simply meant to be. Last week Luna began showing signs of acute pain, after an emergency Neurology consultation the devastating diagnosis is Ruptured Intervertebral Disc (IVDD) at the C2 and C3 cervical vertebrae. This emergency requires immediate, complex surgery to decompress her spinal cords and prevent permanent paralysis. The total cost for this life-saving procedure is $11,400 Luna is without a doubt, the sweetest girl-a compassionate presence. Luna's behavior around new fosters is one of gentle, quiet confidence. She seems instinctively aware that the dogs she meets are often scared or confused, she never pressures them, but instead offers a calm steady example teaching them by being near that our home is a safe place. I'm committed to doing everything possibly for Luna and have already used $4000 emergency fund toward the cost of her care, however we need help to cover the remaining cost. any contribution or share helps to fund Luna's surgery.

Remi
Remi is a 4 year old Poodle in Hanford, CA, who needs $2,000 for Herniated Disc Surgery.
Hanford, CA
I got Remi in Janurary of 2022. She is my best friend and doesn't leave my side. I would be lost without Remi. She lives with me and my parents in Central California. She is everything to me. My Remi that I love so much woke up yesterday morning not able to move her back legs. After visiting our local vet Lacey Animal Hospital it was determined she will need an MRI and spinal surgery. I found the Vetrinary Nuerology Center in Tustin CA that has great reviews but the surgery will cost between 9 and 13k. My heart is literally broken in pieces. I can't imagine losing my best friend. Remi is so special to me and my family because she is one of us. She goes everywhere with me. She goes on trips with us. She LOVES pup cups fro. Dutch bros. We spend every minute of the day together. She is part of me and I am part of her. I'm am 18 I just graduated high school this year and I am enrolled in Penn Foster. My dream is to have my own pet grooming business. I do not have the means to get Remi the surgery she needs. It would mean the world to me and Remi to have her healthy again. I can't lose her.

Indica
Indica is a 9 month old French Bulldog in Rialto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Neurology.
Rialto, CA
My dog’s name is Indica. She is a 9-month-old French Bulldog. My husband and I have had her since the day she was born—literally. We bottle-fed her from the very beginning and have raised her with constant love, care, and dedication. She’s not just our pet; she’s our baby. She has two older Frenchie brothers who adore her, although she definitely runs the show. Indica is up to date on all her vaccinations and has always been well taken care of. Recently, she began showing signs of a possible neurological issue that may require an MRI for a proper diagnosis. Unfortunately, we are in a very tight financial situation right now. We are doing everything we can to get her the medical care she needs and are reaching out in hopes to receive support. Despite being the smallest, she walks with sass and makes sure everyone knows she’s the boss. She’s as sweet and small as a cupcake—affectionate, full of personality, and always the first to greet us with a wag and a cuddle. My husband and I are currently facing a very difficult financial period. Despite working hard to make ends meet, unexpected expenses and the rising cost of living have left us with very little to spare—especially for emergency veterinary care. We’ve looked into payment plans

Koa Loa
Koa Loa is a 6 year old French Bulldog in Pasadena , CA, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Spinal Tap.
Pasadena, CA
I got Koa and his sister Kala together as puppies. We’ve been inseparable since — they’ve gone everywhere with me, even when they weren’t supposed to. Kala was diagnosed with meningitis at 1, and we fought hard to get her stable. Now at 6 years old, Koa is facing his own sudden health crisis. Three nights ago, Koa began having violent seizure episodes — six in under 12 hours. After two ER visits and follow-ups with his primary vet, he’s scheduled for an MRI and spinal tap at the Veterinary Neurology Center in Tustin. We’re trying to find out if it’s a brain tumor or something we can treat. Koa is my shadow — affectionate, stubborn, loyal. He’s helped me through losing my parents, financial struggles, and the hardest seasons of life. He’s goofy, loves his sister, and never leaves my side. The house is quiet without his presence. He’s more than a pet — he’s part of me. I’ve spent everything I had to stabilize Koa. After COVID, separation, and losing family, I’m doing this alone. The MRI and spinal tap cost up to $6,000, and I simply can’t cover that. I need help to give him the chance he deserves — to know what’s going on and how to treat

Louie
Louie is a 8-year-old Bombay Cat in Riverside, CA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnosis and Treatment of Paralysis.
Riverside, CA
Louie came into our lives by sheer chance. We had decided to consider adopting a cat, ideally black, from Petsmart. We scheduled an appointment and visited their options without really vibing with them. On our way out empty handed, someone came in with an orphaned kitten they found in hopes of surrendering. It was wet, shivering, and covered in fleas and ants. Petsmart said no, so we said yes. Up until recently, Louie was a cheap date. He sleeps too much just like most cats, but when he's awake, he wants to be involved. If not directly, then he's fine either by your side, or curiously watching from across the way. It's just the three of us here, but we love having company, so he'd typically saunter out and slowly approach company to say hello. He can read people amazingly well. He has a presence, if that makes sense. I know that sounds silly, but I'm not the first to think so. He can be rather regal, and suddenly switch gears to be whatever the mood calls for. He lifts my spirit and gives me a type of joy that adds more value to my life than any random consumerism based impulse buy I've ever made. He's one of a kind, and we make each other happy. I need to do all I can. Louie suddenly became paralyzed and lost all control of his hind legs and tail over the course of only three days. It went from a limp, to a frog jump, to dragging. His mobility has been severely compromised, and he can no longer use his litter box. He's become incontinent, and his bladder and bowels have to be expressed manually. The first vet said his time was up. The second said he has a chance We are under-employed and the industry is ethically bankrupt. We simply can't afford the tests he needs to get a handle on whether or not he has a chance. What would it mean to see him healthy again? Everything. Absolutely everything. He is loved beyond measure. We need help

Whiskey
Whiskey is a 3-year-old Terrier Mix in Compton, CA, who needs $2,000 for Hemilaminectomy.
Compton, CA
Whiskey came into our lives very suddenly. My cousin frequently fosters animals. Three years ago, she brought a box of kittens and two dogs - Whiskey being one of them. We ended up adopting Whiskey and our first cat, Tony. They grew attached at the hip. They learned our older dog's, Daisy's, pet peeves. Currently, he has 2 cats and another dog that love to annoy him. Whiskey loves to follow everyone around. He is at the door, wagging his tail, for literally everyone. He'd always fight with my brother and crawl on my mom. He always stood at a distance waiting for the love and attention to be directed at him. He was always the first one out the door when it was time for a walk - and always the last one inside. Whiskey is a small dog - one of the smallest dogs we have ever had. He, from all our pets, is the only one that needs assistance to get on the furniture (bed, couch, chairs etc). Because of this, he is a big whiner. He whines and whines until we see him in order to pick him up. He has a small step to get to certain areas but he is the most precious and lovable dog I've ever had. Whiskey recently suffered an injury to his spine. He was diagnosed with a dislocated disc. The VCA gave us two medical options 1) hemilaminectomy (spine surgery) 2) wheel chair and physical therapy. The most plausible option and the one we settled with was the wheel chair and physical therapy. We hope to one day have enough for the surgery. During COVID, my mom (the main income in the house) lost her job. We have had to fill in the gaps. We have been privileged enough to afford our cat ER visits. But, this expense has come very suddenly. We foresee more vet visits for Whiskey so any help would be appreciated.
