Willow

Willow is a 9 year old Poodle in Mont Clare, PA, who needs $25,000 for Stereotactic Radiation.

Mont Clare, PA

My baby girl's name is Willow, I call her Bug. She is 9.5 years young with a lot of life & energy left in her given the circumstances. I have had her since she was born, my very first dog when I was 6 is her bloodline. This girl means the absolute world to me, she is my heart & soul. I have recently bought my first little condo home (about 1.5years ago). So we have our own space now. Recently she had her first grand mal seizure, blood panel came back fine. A month later it turned into cluster seizures. The scariest moments of my life leaping across the bed, catching her half way to the floor. She has always been healthy, so I got an MRI at HVHS. She has a glioma tumor in her left piriform lobe. I am set for a consult w/ VRC. I believe this is the early stages. My happiest moments with her, is when she is in her happy place out in nature. She loves to squirrel & bunny watch, cooling down in the creek on a warm day, jumping & rolling around in the snow. Any time of the year, that is where she wants to be. She is constantly people & nature watching from our little deck or her pillow on the couch. She is always by your side if you are down, looking to help. Her episodes came on quick so, I paid out of pocket for her emergency visit. Three trips in one week to the vet (and meds) when it all started, her consult & MRI at the Neuro (more meds). All of this has drained my accounts & I'm doing things I have never done to help her.

Gunner

Gunner is a 10 month old English Mastiff in York Haven, PA, who needs $7,000 for Urethra Surgery.

York Haven, PA

Gunnar is only 10 months old, but he has already become an irreplaceable part of Kevin’s family. Since joining the family in June 2025, Gunnar immediately adjusted to the household, forming a special bond with the two youngest boys and the high-energy springer spaniel. He has brought so much joy and comfort, especially as the family continues to heal from the loss of their oldest son. On Thursday, 3/26/26, everything changed when Gunnar suddenly began bleeding from his urinary tract. The family rushed him to their vet, where he was diagnosed with a prolapsed urethra—a rare and serious injury. With few local vets experienced in treating this condition, Kevin and his family had to drive nearly two hours to an emergency clinic. He's a gentle giant!! He bonded with everyone in the family immediately and is like another son to Kevin and Devin. He is beyond loved in and a huge part of the family. Low income family with recent loss of a child and 3 other sons to feed. They don't want the boys, especially the younger two to lose their puppy after recently losing their oldest brother.

Stella

Stella is a 8 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Milford , PA, who needs $8,000 for Mandibulectomy.

Milford, PA

8 years ago we found Stella, scar over her nose at 6 months old, emancipated and petrified. My dog at the time was a social butterfly and and brought her out of her shell and into our family where she holds a very special place. If I have surgeries 15 Mass cell tumors have been removed. Now we are facing osteosarcoma, it deteriorated her lower bone so badly but did not spread to lungs or sinus yet Wallenpalpack vet, VRC, and Milford vet hospital is her cance team. Mass was removed in upper jaw, CTscans performed to show clean margins unfortunately found a mystery on her lower opposite side of jaw and w the non-refundable $3500 bone biopsy, the sample came back inconclusive, the bone in that part of her jaw is so friable now we need to remove partial jaw to prevent unavoidable fracture She learned to trust and love and play now she's thriving in all the best ways, the most happiest dog who loves every second of life and is a bonded pair with the pup that saved her from the first time they booped noses. I work work 6 to 7 days. I live alone and I'm barely surviving the cost of living inflation and rent. I have spent $5,000 so far in 2 months and the bone biopsy is non-refundable. $3500 for an inconclusive answer was a setback. Now to remove her partial that's about $8,000

Elkton, MD

Jam is our sweet family cat, and his journey with us began in the most unexpected way. I found him as a tiny kitten on Interstate 495, crawling across the highway, terrified and exhausted. Cars were straddling over him, and others were trying to go around, but when he ended up in front of my semi truck, I knew I had to help. I picked him up—he fit right in my hand—and brought him home VRC is the hospital were trying to take him too. Jam has had a very healthy life until up to this point where he has stopped eating which has led to his anemia. Jam is very close to me and my family and has always been a very high energy kitten loving to play with anything he can bat around on the floor like bottles caps. He also loves to cuddle at night and loves to sleep next to me. I only have a minimum wage job right now and really want to keep jam alive. This bill being in the thousands is very sudden and way out of my price range living on my own.

Kip was rescued from a puppy mill and I have had him since he was a baby. He is now 3 and has brought so much love and joy to my life and to my family’s lives. He loves to run, hike and swim. He is very active and so very smart. Kip is very affectionate with his family and loves to cuddle up when he is sleepy. Kip fills my heart with so much love. Kip tore his ACL and suspected meniscus injury when he was running outside roughly 8 weeks ago. Broomall Animal Hospital diagnosed him with a full tear and needed surgery. I contacted so many hospitals and the most competitive price I could find was with VRC in Malvern, PA. Imaging anesthesia, surgery and medication will cost $7000-$8000. Kip is an active little guy who loves to ride in the car, play with his family members, chase squirrels, hike, swim and play hide and seek with his sister Tilly. He is so smart and has incredible agility. As much as he is playful, he also loves to cuddle up and take a snooze next to his family members. I am a Senior in college. I am a nursing student @ The Conway School of Nursing. With my rigorous class schedule and clinical hours in the hospital, I am unable to provide surgery for Kip. My parents have helped with his vet visits and diagnosis but that is all they can do.

Nala is a 15 year old American Shorthair in Pottstown, PA, who needs $2,000 for Endoscopy with Polyp Removal.

Pottstown, PA

In 2010 I was in a very dark, hopeless place. Searching for comfort, I adopted a tiny kitten and named her Nala. Driving through a snowstorm to bring her home changed my life. Ever since, she’s been my constant companion, sensing when I’m hurting and offering quiet comfort. She’s saved me more times than I can count. This past October, Nala began showing signs of what we thought was an upper respiratory infection. We’ve tried antibiotics and steroids, which help briefly, but her congestion always comes back. My vet now believes it’s nasal polyps, which require advanced care. While Nala is still active and loving, she is clearly uncomfortable. Nala may be 15, but she still has so much life left to live. Even our vet says she doesn’t look or act like a senior cat. She is otherwise healthy and full of love. Nala isn’t a cat. She’s my purpose, my comfort, my family. We’re truly a bonded pair. I do not know who I am without her. CareCredit and ScratchPay are not available to me as I'm maxed on them for Nala's sister Kiki. I've struggled financially since 2020 when I was out of work for 3 months. I was also out of work at my new job this year for 6 weeks.

Teddy is a 1-year-old rescue who survived being duct-taped to a tree while his littermates died beside him. He was neglected, starving, and scared—but he fought to live. We gave him love, safety, and a second chance. Now he’s fighting again—this time against a rare, life-threatening infection. We’re doing everything to save him, but we need help. Teddy is being treated at VRC Hospital in Philadelphia for a severe bacterial skin and tissue infection that has led to sepsis. The veterinarians say they’ve never seen a case like this and don’t know how it started. He’s in critical condition and fighting for his life. Treatment is ongoing, but costs are overwhelming. Teddy is more than a pet—he’s family. He follows us everywhere, gives gentle kisses, and curls up beside us each night. He seems to sense when someone is hurting and always offers comfort. He also volunteers as a therapy dog for veterans at the VA hospital, bringing peace and joy to those who’ve served. Despite his traumatic past, Teddy is full of love, playful energy, and trust. I work in law enforcement and we’ve spent everything to save Teddy. He’s so close to recovery—but we’ve run out of funds. He’s not just family—he’s a therapy dog for veterans. Barkley is a 6 month old Poodle in Glenmoore, PA, who needs $2,000 for PDA Surgery.

Glenmoore, PA

Barkley, our spirited 6-month-old miniature poodle, joined us in March 2025 after we rescued him from the Phoenix Animal Shelter. Named after Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles, he brings energy, affection, and resilience despite a grade 5/6 heart murmur. He quickly bonded with our 10-year-old rescue, Cairo, & follows our young kids everywhere, sharing in their daily adventures. Barkley is in need of emergency heart surgery. After a visit to his vet and cardiologist they deemed surgery his only chance at prolonged life. Hopefully after successful Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) surgery to close the valve he will be able to live a normal life span of a miniature poodle. Barkley may also need to be on heart medication long term. Barkley is a spark of energy. You would never know looking at him that his heart on the inside is hurting. He is so playful, smart - learning all kinds of tricks already, and such a sweet boy. Our older dog may seem to feel that Barkley can be a menace at times, their bond has grown to be inseparable in such a short amount of time together filled with cuddles and even sharing a seat at the window. Barkley's heart condition new was shocking to learn & comes along with a huge financial cost to our family unexpectedly. Seeing him unwell has been so hard, but the thought of him healthy again fills our hearts with hope—his recovery means our family feels whole again.

Pirate is a 14 year old American Shorthair in Dover, DE, who needs $2,000 for Right Total Ear Canal Ablation Plus CT.

He is my cat and my daughter's childhood cat. We adopted him when his previous foster could no longer care for him because their baby was allergic, and he was forced to live in their cold garage. People threw rocks at him when he was a stray kitten, and he lost his eye as a result. His life started off rocky; however, he has warmed up over the many years. Recently, we found out he has a tumor growing in his ear canal. It’s already taken away part of his hearing, and without surgery, the tumor will grow. It started out as an ear infection that we’ve been attempting to treat for months (dozens of vet appointments). Little did we know it was not an ear infection, but a tumor that slowly grew larger and larger unnoticed, We are looking at Blue Pearl. His life started off rocky; however, he has warmed up over the many years and is the sweetest little guy. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for him. He’s 14 years old and has been a best friend, a comfort, and a constant companion for me, my parents, and my brother for over a decade. My husband and I have no emergency fund, especially since we just put down our other cat (who was 21 years old).

Frederick

Buddy entered my life on Xmas of 2018... I drove 16 hrs to surprise my mom with a visit on Xmas. My mom had recently adopted him from the mental hospital she was working at. Buddy and I bonded quickly on that visit. A few months later, my mom drove to me with a surprise of her own... Buddy! She said he seemed lost when I left and knew he needed me. Her and Buddy now live happily with me in PA. Buddy started limping at the end of July '24. At first we thought it may be an injury or early arthritic onset. After meds and many x-rays and different treatments a mass was found. It was thought to be lung cancer. After a CT scan, they say it's in his rib bone. Either osteo- or chondrasarcoma. Dr. Coggeshall at VCR in Malvern wants to do rib removal surgery which offers Buddy 4-5 years survival. Buddy is by far the best dog I've ever had in every aspect. He is extremely loyal, loving, and tender. He has the best manners and loves every living being. I have never seen him be aggressive towards anyone or anything. He loves the snow and will lay in it for hours. He loves all toys and treats and is an absolute attention hound. He loves snuggling and meeting new people. He is one of a kind! There are many reasons why I can't afford surgery. Inflation has greatly affected cost of living. Also, buying a new car after my old one died. I also may have to move since my landlord is trying to sell my house. I don't have any options really. I already spent all savings.

Oliver loves spending time with family he’s a great emotional support dog! He enjoys his fur siblings and his human siblings. Oliver is terrified of fire and smoke. We think think is from something that happened prior to rescuing him but he had no back story when we rescued him. We are a low income family of 6. Biggy came into my life in 2010 when I adopted him from a local rescue in Philadelphia, PA. We instantly connected through many cuddles and lonely nights. You can find Biggy snuggled up on a pile of laundry or directly on my lap (my favorite) He will definitely let you know when he's hungry by patting his paw on my face or licking my hair! Biggy is special because he truly knows how to communicate with me. He knows his name, the word "hungry" and "food" with the lowest meow. He's the only cat that loves to be picked up and loved on - at least when I do it anyway! Upon a wellness visit, I mentioned Biggy's wheezing a bit. Bloodwork and X rays were performed, which the vet found some sort of "blockage" on his larynx. She immediately suggested I see a specialist for him to get scoped as they did not perform that procedure. She did tell me to prepare for the worst and mentioned cancer. Of course, I was a complete mess but determined for answers. The estimate I received is $2,769 - $4,115. VRC Malvern is the hospital where the procedure will be performed. They require a 75% deposit which is $3,086. I am covering what I can on this but there is some hardship here. Anything will help to keep Biggy healthy!

Kodi Bear came to live with us in June of 2015. We drove from Pennsylvania to Kentucky to pick him up after we found him on the internet. He was such a sweet little puppy and we fell in love with him the minute we saw him. Kodi Bear is our one and only fur baby. He is very spoiled and basically gets whatever he wants. Kodi Bear lives with his family and sleeps wherever he wants to. He has a bed downstairs as well as upstairs. He even has a bed on the deck. Kodi Bear also has so many toys and they are in every room of the house. He loves to go for walks. He is always there to greet us when we come home and is very boisterous when we try to leave the house. Kodi Bear loves his treats and loves his ice cream. When it is ice cream day, he knows it. I do not get any rest until I go out to Sprinkles and pick up the ice cream for him. When he wants his treats, he will walk over to you and place his paw on your hand or your foot. This signals that he wants something.Kodi Bear also loves to take one of his toys for a walk with him whenever he goes. Kodi Bear was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma after what the vet thought was a fatty tumor was removed. Biopsy showed hemango sarcoma. He immediately underwent chemotherapy and then had the tumor removed. The tumor was removed in entirety but he now needs radiation to make sure that the cancer is totally eradicated. The radiation is the best chance that the cancer will not return. Kodi Bear is our life and we are his. The amount of his treatment so far is approximately $19,000. The cost of radiation will be anywhere between $5,000 and $13,000. We did not have the money to pay the vet bills outright so we have been placing it on credit cards.

Wilmington, DE

Aurora has been with me since she was 3 months old. She lives with 2 small dogs and a mastiff. I got her from a breeder. Sadly the breeder did not screen her parents for health issues or potentially being a carrier of a genetic condition. Aurora is a very friendly dog. She loves everybody she meets. She loves to follow my son around. She cannot walk far because of her hip dysplasia. She likes to eat ice cubes and chew on nylabones. When she meets you she will give you her paw. If she runs she bunny hops due to her hips. She likes her fluffy coat to get brushed, it sooths her. She also likes to cuddle. She gets very excited for a treat and whines until you give her a piece of your apple. She reacts if you watching a video on your phone. She will start barking. Sometimes she will playfully nip you if you are not giving her any attention. Aurora likes to play with our mastiff, they are bestest buds. Aurora needs a total hip replacement because she has hip dysplasia. After one hip is replaced, there is a 6 week waiting period before the second hip can be done. This surgery has a very high success rate. She also has early onset arthritis. She is young and still had a lot of life in her. I cannot afford this surgery because it's $12,700 per hip. She needs hip replacements on both hips. This is a huge amount of money to be able to afford. I don't have any savings to pay for this. I plan to take out care credit for a portion of it.

Philadelphia, PA

Fraya is a 2-5 year old corgi-husky mix who was rescued from Texas last year. She was originally scheduled for euthanasia before being rescued from the local shelter. She's had quite the healthcare journey since, accruing 2 vets, 3 second opinions, 3 conditions, and (soon to be,) $8k + in medical and wellness bills. Despite these hurdles, Fraya is an absolute joy and the light of the household. Fraya is my sole roommate and family away from home (I am an East Coast transplant). She has joined me camping, hiking, beaching, and shopping, and has become my little shadow. I recently hosted a "Fray-a-Day" Holiday Soiree in which my friends and I raised $2k for last year's pre-surgical costs and diagnostics. Fraya is well-loved and recognized in the Philly community. Fraya has been described as the "ultimate personality" by everyone that knows her. She loves to say "hi" to everyone in her path, and has a series of quirks including: lounging on her back with feet in the air, engaging in grumpy morning awoos, stealing and hoarding the best ball at the dog park, and unintentionally scaring children for looking like a "very smol wolf." Fraya needs costly specialty orthopedic surgery and was denied by insurance due to her condition being labeled a pre-existing “birth defect”. In addition, she’s allergic to most everything in dog food and was denied coverage for prescription food due having a related infection she was being treated for pre-adoption. Her journey has been timely, expensive, and stressful. I am 100% financially independent and have sick/elderly parents across the country. I am chronically ill myself and pay an average of $3k/yr out of pocket for healthcare. Funding Fraya's surgery means more $ to see and help my family, board Fraya, and afford my own care.

I got her from a friend of a friend for $50 so she doesn’t end up ima shelter in 2010. I was 17 when I first got her and now I just recently turned 30 years old 2 days before she got sick on us. She’s is 13 years old and the best doggy sister to my two daughters. Currently we reside in cozy apt just my two daughters, Fiji, her fur sister Kleo the Kitty and I. Only us girls. Fiji is such a cuddler. She has slept with me since she came home back in 2010. She loves to sleep right beside me like she’s holding me at night. She loves soft squeaky toys and doing tricks for treats. She also love soft blankets. She likes a long walks at the park and to go vist her grandma’s house. Fiji is literally like a daughter to me. She is family. She’s the sweetest kindest smartest pet I’ve ever had in my life. She loves to do tricks for treats like rolling over or giving a paw. She also likes to dig through the pet cabinet to get treats without doing tricks. She gets sad when we have to leave her in the home alone. And very happy when we ask her if she wants to go for a walk. On December 28 I had to take it to the emergency because that week she wasn’t eating. She started being lethargic and her stomach was expanding and having trouble breathing. Emergency vet extracted fluid from her abdomen and chest since then she was on pain medication and prednisone until I can find a diagnosis which is lymphoma. She was diagnosed on 1/7/23. We just started her chemo 1/11/23. I’m a single mother that struggles to keep afloat in todays society. I was recently in an eviction situation. I try to give my family the best I can provide. Due to this situation I had to go into my saving and also max out my credit lines.

Fraya is a 4-year-old Corgsky in Philadelphia, PA, who needs $2,000 for Apoquel, Food and Allergy Panel, Hydrolyzed Prescription Diet, Radiographs Limb Study, Sedation, Rimadyl.

Philadelphia, PA

Fraya was adopted in April from a rescue that works between TX and NJ to find urgent homes for high kill risk dogs. She was found on the side of the road, and estimated to be around 2 when she was dropped at an overcrowded shelter in San Antonio. This shelter has a reputation of euthanizing 50+ dogs A DAY. 3 vets and $3,000+ later I learned Fraya was not the healthy young pup I was sold on. I applied for Fraya as soon as her post alert went off at 5:30am and rented a car to drive to North Jersey to retrieve her. She immediately showed to be an extroverted, sweet dog, hogging the spotlight away from the other rescues. My friends immediately took to her crowning her the queen of belly rubs. She loves people and would charm and walk off with a stranger if she had the chance. Fraya is a hilarious blend of independent, stubborn husky traits and goofball corgi traits. She loves to “argue” in the morning when I sleep in or take too long to get ready. She also stops to sniff everything and everyone, occasionally collapsing on the side walk to beg for rubs. Her toxic trait is stealing, hoarding and occasionally eating balls at the dog park while running away. Shortly after bringing Fraya home, she displayed signs of digestive issues and nasty ear, eye and bladder infections that required prompt care. I purchased insurance through my employer the week I adopted her thinking these simple issues would be easily fixed. 3 months and almost $3,000 in reimbursement rejections later, I was informed Fraya’s issues were not ever going to be covered. Fraya’s pre-adoption records were flagged insufficient due to her conditions - luxating patella’s aggravated by an extra bone (an orthopedic issue that will cause lameness untreated,) and allergies to not 1 but 5 major ingredients in dog food as “preexisting at birth”.

Maximus is a 22-month-old Presa Canario in Magnolia, DE, who needs $2,000 for Heat Stroke.

Magnolia, DE

When Maximus was a puppy he was sold to a couple that just were not nice people. Max was severely abused and surrounding neighbors fought to save him. He was then adopted by another family and began his service dog training. This family treated him amazing, but he just wasn't the right fit for their specialized needs. We then adopted Maximus and completed his training. Our home doesn't function properly without Maximus around. He sleeps in bed with us and is the best snuggler. He is trained specifically for my husband but he truly just makes all of us feel better when he walks in any room. He loves to play tug o war, wrestle with his fur brother and watch movies with his human siblings. Maximus is more than special. He is our hero because in some of my husband's darkest and trying times Max has heen a light. Max is a service dog for my husband who is a combat veteran and 100% disabled. When his vest is on he knows it is time to work, when the vest comes off he knows he is free to run and play and boy does he know how to play My husband & I were out of town. Typically Max goes literally everywhere with us (as he is a service dog) but it just was not possible this time. We made the decision to put him at a daycare that he had been to before we adopted him. While there they only fed him 1/3 of his daily diet and forgot him outside leading to a heat stroke & other minor injuries. We are currently fighting for his life My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and "unemployable" I have been out of work until the kids return to school because with his struggles he cannot handle 5 kids on his own and childcare is too expensive. We currently only have his disability as income which covers minimal

Orion

Orion is a 9-month-old Boxer in Hummelstown , PA, who needs $1,500 for Total Hip Replacement Left Hip.

Hummelstown, PA

We adopted Orion from family who bred their dog. He did not come from a breeder. We met him when he was just 3 weeks old. This boy suckled my finger and I was in love. He's got the best heart. He loves his doggie brother and sister (Boston Terriers) and his kitty brother, Rex. He loves to sit by the campfire with us on beautiful weekends. His heart belongs to the sun and fresh air. Orion loves to snuggle everyone who walks through our door. His nubbin tail wags with love for everyone, but especially babies and toddlers. He loves our 18-month old nephew and always provides copious kisses! We haven't had a lot of the typical bad boxer puppy behavior. He's been such a joy to our lives that we often forget he hasn't been ours for years! Orion is my soulmate. Plain and simple. He makes my heart smile and came to me in a time when I needed to be loved unconditionally. He picked my heart out of it's dark place and helped me find my purpose. He made me believe I am worthy of love. Our quirky boy is 'mouthy'. He often 'talks' to us and sounds much like a Woookie when he's protesting or playing with his humans. About a month ago we noticed that Orion was li. Wanting to be extra cautious with our pup, we took him to the vet and, after radiography, learned that he has severe bilateral hip dysplasia. Our hearts sunk. He was 6 months old at time of diagnosis. We want our special boy to have a happy, healthy life. This is a very sudden major expense that we were not anticipating in the middle of our ever-inflating economy. We bought a house last November and are stil settled. This was a very unexpected expense.

We rescued Diego at approximately 8 weeks from a litter down south. I saw a picture of him and his litter mates and knew he had our 💙. We rescued him from a Delaware adoption event. Our family instantly fell in love with this gentle spirit. Four months prior to rescuing Diego we adopted a Yorkie mix who he has always let her be the boss. They are very close! Diego is the light in our daughters life! They are walking buddies, take long drives, she takes him to do the creek to jump in and cool off. This year she is commuting from college to be with him as much as possible. He even loves to lay on our deck with her and get some sun! Diego is the most beautiful creature with the sweetest soul and we love him more than I can put into words. Diego is the calm in the house with two other dogs and a cat. He is so chill but when we are out on walks can be very protective. When we get home from work or school all our pups are excited to see us but only Diego will talk to you to let you know just how happy he is to see you! Diego really is the best pup ever!! I found what I thought was a tick early last year and of course took him to our vet. Our vet examined him said it was nothing to worry about twice. I finally convinced him to operate Obviously it was not. I took Diego to VRC to the oncology team and they told me he would need another surgery our vet did not get clean margins. VRC operated and completely removed tumor with clean margins!!! After paying for Diego’s two surgeries and 3 hospital stays we have used all of our care credit and what savings we had. NO regrets we would do anything for him! We just have nothing left and he’s been through SO MUCH he DESERVES this chance! We NEED him here.🙏🏽
