Mr. Fang

Mr. Fang is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in kaunakakai, HI, who needs $1,300 for dental.

kaunakakai, HI • Rescue Kitties of Hawaii

Meet Mr. Fang, a sweet soul who has already been through so much. Earlier this year, he underwent a partial dental—but his large fangs had to be left behind. Since then, those remaining teeth have caused him constant pain, leading to inflammation, infection, and painful rot. For months, the question wasn’t if Mr. Fang needed help—but whether his body was strong enough to handle it. After careful monitoring and recent bloodwork, we finally received the news we’ve been hoping for: his kidney values have improved, and his veterinarian has cleared him as stable enough for the dental surgery he desperately needs. This procedure will change everything for Mr. Fang. It means relief from chronic pain, healing from infection, and the chance to eat, groom, and rest comfortably again. But dental surgeries come with significant costs, and we can’t do this without help. 💛 How You Can Help Your donation will go directly toward Mr. Fang’s dental surgery, medications, and recovery care. Every dollar helps take away his pain. Every dollar brings him closer to comfort. Every dollar gives Mr. Fang the healthy, peaceful life he deserves. Thank you for helping us give Mr. Fang his smile back—pain free. 🐾 6/4/26 Update Thank you to everyone who has supported Mr. Fang on his healing journey. Thanks to you, he was able to get his dental procedure and is on his way to living a happy and healthy adult life.

Little Einstein

Little Einstein is in Dire Need of Funding for FIP Treatment.

kaunakakai, HI • Rescue Kitties of Hawaii

Sweet Little Einstein was rescued on Molokaʻi a few months ago, dangerously ill with a fever of 106.8°F. With no vet on island, we fought to stabilize him around the clock and miraculously, he pulled through. He recently flew to our Oʻahu foster team for continued care, but suddenly spiked another high fever. Rushed to WWPH Emergency Vet Hospital, his bloodwork confirmed wet and ocular FIP. If you’ve never seen ocular FIP, the change in the eyes is heartbreaking. His pupils shifted drastically overnight. Einstein is now weak, lethargic, not eating, and has fluid buildup in his abdomen. His foster and vet team are doing everything possible to stabilize him and keep him comfortable, but he urgently needs the full 84-day FIP treatment and continued critical care. We already have two other FIP kittens in treatment, and the combined cost of meds and vet bills now exceeds $2,500. We cannot do this alone. Every donation brings him one step closer to recovery and a chance at the happy, healthy life he deserves. We are so grateful for your love and support of the most vulnerable kitties in Hawaii. Each donation helps us get kitties like Little Eistein healthy and into a loving home. We cannot continue to succeed at our mission without you.

Help Give Hope to Inkjet and Rescue Kitties of Hawaii

kaunakakai, HI • Rescue Kitties of Hawaii

Rescue Kitties of Hawaii works passionately on Molokai island every single day, rescuing cats and kittens in dire need of help and urgent medical care. Stray cats who are sick, injured, abused, poisoned, used as live bait in dog fighting, etc. rely on RKH as their only source of care, as there are absolutely no shelters on the island. Being on a small island with limited resources, the rescue's funds are continuously depleted, and the rescue cannot keep up with the overwhelming demand to save all the Hawaiian kitties. This is why their TNRM program- Trap, Neuter, Return and Manage, is vital to help manage the ongoing overpopulation on the island. This is the most humane way to control a stray cat population, letting cats that cannot adapt to indoor/ family life live their best life. Those that can adapt to indoor life, are adopted by loving families. Inkjet, for example, is a special case Rescue Kitties of Hawaii have been pouring their hearts into helping recently. The only survivor of his litter, Inkjet, was rescued in critical condition, a tiny fighter who refused to give up. He is completely deaf, struggles with painful mouth ulcers and chronic infections, and remains small for his age. He has overcome so much, but now he faces his biggest battle yet. He has a heart murmur that is worsening, and he has started coughing—a terrifying sign that something is very wrong. The possibilities are grim: congestive heart failure, asthma, or a severe lung infection. Any of these could be life-threatening without immediate intervention. He needs an echocardiogram and chest X-ray to diagnose what’s happening inside his little body. Inkjet is currently on the island of Molokai- a very small Hawaiian island that does not have any vets, or humane euthanasia options. This is why Inkjet must fly to his amazing doctors in Oahu, who are ready to help. Without this care, he could become critical, and his caretakers would have to watch him suffer with no resources to help. Your donation today will help cover Inkjet’s lifesaving treatment he desperately needs to keep fighting, as well as other cats, like Inkjet, who need our love and support. Please consider giving these cats a chance at a brighter future. Mahalo!

Inkjet’s Fight for a Future: Help Us Give Him a Second Chance

kaunakakai, HI • Rescue Kitties of Hawaii

Inkjet’s life has never been easy. The only survivor of his litter, he was rescued in critical condition, a tiny fighter who refused to give up. He is completely deaf, struggles with painful mouth ulcers and chronic infections, and remains small for his age. Through the love and dedicated care of Rescue Kitties of Hawaii, he has overcome so much. But now, he faces his biggest battle yet. He has a heart murmur that is worsening, and he has started coughing—a terrifying sign that something is very wrong. The possibilities are grim: congestive heart failure, asthma, or a severe lung infection. Any of these could be life-threatening without immediate intervention. He needs an an echocardiogram and chest X-ray to diagnose what’s happening inside his little body. Without these tests, there is no way to know what’s causing his symptoms or how to save him. Inkjet is currently on the island of Molokai- a very small Hawaiian island that does not have any vets, animal control for cats, or humane euthanasia options. This is why Inkjet must fly to his amazing doctors in Oahu, who are ready to help. Without this care, he could become critical and his caretakers would have to watch him suffer with no resources to help. Please do not let this heartbreaking possibility become reality. Your donation today will help cover Inkjet’s lifesaving treatment he desperately needs to keep fighting. Inkjet has been a fighter from the very beginning, proving time and time again that he is meant to be here. But now, he needs our help to keep going. Update 03/31 His recent cardiology exam at Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital with an echocardiogram, chest XRays, and full bloodwork labs- confirmed that he has left ventricular hypertrophy, aortic insufficiency, suspected aortic stenosis, and an enlarged left atrium—a combination that puts him at high risk for congestive heart failure. His little heart is struggling, but with atenolol, regular vet visits, and careful monitoring of his heart and breathing rates, we will be doing everything possible to extend his time and give him the best quality of life. Thank you for helping us support Inky's ongoing care! Update 04/16 Inkjet had another appointment with a cardiologist who was able to do another echocardiogram which provided a bit more insight on his condition. He does have very serious heart disease, but not as severe as we thought and luckily, it was caught very early so his prognosis is hopeful. He is now on a new medicine to help prevent blood clots and a beta blocker that will hopefully give him a longer happier life! Thank you for all the ongoing support!

Itim

Itim is a 5-year-old Domestic Short Hair in Waipahu, HI, who needs $1,218 for Sedation, wound debridement.

Waipahu, HI

Itim is one of the 5 kittens from a stray black cat. I had to raise one of them from newborn since it was rejected by the mama cat. Itim, and his 2 other brothers grew up, got neutered, and never missed a meal. Itim and his brothers have been part of the 17 colony cats that I feed twice a day, in addition to my 8 indoor cats. Itim, despite being an outdoor cat, is very sweet, loving, and honestly more of a lap cat than my indoor cats. He loves pets and wet food! My husband also jokingly calls him Nautica because of the mark on his front paw. When it is raining, Itim tends to love under it and would ask you to wipe his fur after. Also, when I feed all cats, he wants the first taste of the food. On Feb 4th, at lunchtime, Itim did not come to eat. I checked the footage and saw that he was limping on February 3rd, around 7:30 pm. Around 5:30 PM on Feb 9th, I found him lying by their food bowls, with swollen paw! Took him to the pet hospital where he was sedated, and his wound was debrided. Dr. Said the wound is extensive and he needs another one this Sun, Feb 11. Taking care of pets is emotionally fulfilling, but honestly financially taxing. One of the cats that I feed had a urinary blockage 6 months ago & I had to pay over $3K, & another had injured paw which cost over $600. They are healthy now! I wish Itim would be the the same.

Camilla

Camilla is a 4-year-old Pomeranian in Kapolei , HI, who needs $2,000 for Femur Fracture Repair.

Kapolei, HI

Hello friends Camilla came into our lives August of 2019 right before the world Changed she helped me get threw Covid alone with my 3 children while my husband was deployed to Iraq. She is now 4 years old and we have relocated due to my husbands military career we are currently staying in a hotel waiting for housing to be available and will likely be here for 30-45 days. Camilla is very loyal, intuitive, incredibly smart and very peaceful dog she is currently in Service Dog training so this injury is a huge set back for her and our family. Camilla is the first thing each one of our family members look forward to seeing when we come home she is the glue to our Ohana (family). Camilla is very intelligent and intuitive she doesn’t like rowdiness or the kids arguing and will always vocalize her intolerance to it 😂 she is very good at communicating when she would like to come with us or if she would like to be picked up or a snack or to play! She is our sunshine and we are working hard to restore her light🤍 Camilla has a broken femur she fell off the hotel bed while everyone was sleeping and immediately broke her leg. We are working desperately to raise funds to help repair her fracture in a timely manner. We are a one income household of a family of 5. My daughter and I have acquired an incredible amount of debt due to our medical expenses, the home we finally moved out of had mold hidden our HVAC system Which has made our financial hardships even more of a challenge.

Bootsie

Bootsie is a 1-year-old Grey Tiger Cat in Ewa Beach, HI, who needs $1,000 for Unblocking Blocked Bladder, Hydration and Medication for Kidney Damage..

Ewa Beach, HI

We adopted Bootsie along with his friend Sunny as kittens, from the Hawaii Humane Society. He has become a big, chubby cat while his orange companion is more slender. After having them for a few months we installed a “catio” they can use to have the experience of being outside our beach house while still being enclosed. Bootsie is the more shy of our two cats but also the more loving one. He loves to “play fight” with Sunny and is amusingly agile for such a big cat. He is very well behaved, not always trying to get out of the house the way Sunny does! We have all become very fond of him. He likes to curl up on the back of the couch and watch tv with us. The special thing about Bootsie is the way he combines being a big, heavy cat with being very gentle and shy. One very amusing thing he does is, when he lies down on our wood floors and we pet his belly, he will kick on our feet with his hind legs causing him to slide along the floor. He also loves to lie flat on his back on the floor with his belly completely exposed, also very funny. Bootsie was acting lethargic and having trouble getting anything to come out in the litter box. He was also not wanting to be picked up and mewing plaintively. We realized something was seriously wrong and rushed him to the animal hospital, where he was diagnosed with a blocked bladder. He had to have surgery to unblock it and other treatments for his damaged kidneys. We had no idea veterinary fees were as high as they are, and the bill for several thousand dollars comes on top of some other recent unexpected bills for car repairs. My daughter especially loves this cat and will be devastated if he does not survive.
