When Maddie was a 12-week-old puppy, she went to live with Kiley S., who started training her to be a service dog for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Kiley shed tears when the time came to drop Maddie off with the organization to complete her training. Kiley thought it was goodbye forever, but four days later, she got an unexpected call. "They called me asking if I would adopt her; she had a heart condition," Kiley tells Waggle. Kiley instantly said, "yes." That phone call was life-changing for Maddie and Kiley -- who suffers from an autoimmune disorder. For the last ten years, Maddie has helped Kiley. "She picks up on emotions and health changes and takes actions to help me cope. She constantly gives love," Kiley says. But on Maddie's 10th birthday, her nose started bleeding profusely. Kiley raced her to the animal hospital. A CT scan revealed Maddie has a mass blocking part of her nasal cavity and throat. She needs radiation to shrink the tumor. Kiley is devastated because she can't afford the treatment. She has paid $15,000 to help Maddie so far. Kiley just got a new job after losing hers during COVID and used her savings to pay the bills while unemployed. Please help Maddie get the treatment she needs!

I have 5 children and every birthday every Christmas my kids would ask for a dog. My friend at work often heard me say i would love a dog for my kids but i cannot afford it. So she surprised me with the news that her dogs were having puppies and she would give my kids one of them. And we were so lucky because Ollie was the only puppy born. We are so blessed to have him. Ollie is a great addition to the family my kids are absolutely crazy and Ollie is a puppy and is full of energy and full of life so he blends very well. The kids love having a dog. They are constantly showing him off to their friends. He loves family and with Covid we don't see family very often but when he sees my mom my cousins my grandparents he goes crazy full of excitement. Ollie is special because he has so much love to give he's so innocent just like children. He is a companion, a friend. I feel so bad that he has to go through surgery and is in pain. He just loves his family so much. But honestly cannot live without him the kids would be devastated if something happened to him Ollie was playing with my four-year-old son and I believe my son might've accidentally dropped him and suffered a tibial fracture and the only option is surgery. I was cooking dinner and took an eye out for them for a second and heard him yell out in pain and I know that something happened. I have never seen him in pain or cry out in pain I've been out of work for over six weeks due to a pulmonary embolism and I'm slated to go back in January I have an assignment so this surgery right before Christmas is a lot of financial burden. Yes otherwise healthy dog and my other option was to amputate his legs

Dottie

Dottie is a rescue out of 11 kittens total. I kept Mama Kitty with me until she gave birth. All of the kittens have since been re homed and Dottie is one of three left as of right now. Dottie lives with 4 dogs and 6 other adult cats. Dottie is the runt of the bunch. We think she may have had feline Herpes Virus at birth and she had severe conjunctivitis that I treated religiously. Unfortunately, she sustained a severe scratch to the eye and suffered proptosis and complete globular rupture. Rowlett Veterinary at Lakeview saw her a week ago and prescribed eye ointment and amoxycillin for infection. Dottie needs an enucletion. Dottie was the runt and the smallest of her litter. She is super playful and sweet. She has been a blessing to care for and cuddle with. She loves to come up to my German Shepherd and rub up against him. Her purr sounds like a motor boat! I am on a fixed income and have 7 children. I love animals and have fostered for years. I would love Dottie to proceed with her surgery and live a happy, pain free life.

Gus came into our lives 5 years ago when he started hanging out on our porch. We found out shortly before we moved in 2022 that his people abandoned him. We decided to bring him with us when we moved to our new house. And he's been with us ever since. Gus had his name when he came to us. We took us to our vet on Monday 9/23 due to coughing & struggling to breathe. X-ray showed fluid around his lungs. We were referred to FETCH in Greenville for today but I changed plans due to his condition this morning. I took him to VEG where fluid was removed & transferred to SAVES. He now has a raging infection and a chest tube. Waiting for pathology results on white blood cells. We love Gus so much. He's our sassy Sour Patch Kid that loves lap time. And has the most beautiful blue eyes. He's never been sick before. I hate seeing him this way. It just makes me cry every time I see him. I want to make his pain and breathing issues better. His brother Linus misses him too. We were lucky enough to get pet insurance. But it looks like that's only going to cover a little more than half of what this may cost at the end. And honestly will pretty much wipe our savings out if it goes anywhere close to or over the high estimate.

Ham was a gift, I wasn't looking for a cat and was going to rehome him but he had such bad anxiety being in a new place he cried for 4 days no stop. As someone with anxiety and panic disorder I couldn't make him endure that again so we became easy others emotional support. He and my late dog Oliver were best of friends and ham and I have mourned our beloved Ollie together. He makes things better A few days ago I took ham to the vet for an allergic reaction to something, he had been scratching non stop and was given steroids, antibiotics and allergy treatment. The vet opted to give him the lowest dose of an injectable steroid. A day later he began having respiratory distress. Today we leaned he had undiagnosed heart disease and the steroids given are worsening the symptoms. Ham is a healer, he loves everyone, especially those who are hurting. A friend once said he takes all the negative away from those who need it. He was the peanut butter to my esa dog Oliver's jelly, they were the best of friends ( and Ollie was scared of cats ) he is the purest form of love I've ever known Ham received an injection of Depo-medrol exasturbating his undiagnosed heart disease. He will need a hospital with overnight staff to continue his oxygen treatment once his vets office closes and until he is fully stabilized to allow the medication to be effective ongoing

Dewey was rescued from under my house when he was about 5 weeks old. My kids were outside playing and heard him crying because his tail was stuck. Once I saw him I, I knew he was home. He is honestly like one of my kids. He keeps everyone entertained from the kids to my mom. He is most important to my 3rd oldest son. He is the one who found him. He has some emotional issues so for him Dewey is moreso an emotional support animal. Dewey is more than a pet. He is family. There is never a dull moment when he is around. And no matter what he always makes you smile on even on your darkest days. Dewey has a broken shoulder that cannot be fixed with a splint. He has to have surgery to either repair or amputate it. I would love to repair it but it would be almost $7000 because it has to be done by a board certified surgeon and I would never be able to afford that. Roughly four weeks ago me and my 4th son suffered injuries. He broke his hand and I broke my ankle. Taking off time for appointments for both of us has caused me to miss a lot of work that was unpaid and it put an extreme financial strain on my sole income.

My daughter and I rescued Reese when she was 6 months old. She captured our hearts immediately. She was not in a good situation, in fact we would later learn in the news how bad the situation was. I wanted to be sure she would be compatible with our 2 cats. We made arrangements to meet her in her environment. She was living in a cattery and we could see she loved cats and kittens! Reese is my heart dog! She is a beloved family member. She loves my daughter Kaiti who lived at home for Reese’s first years and has always been crazy about her boyfriend. She adores my grandsons. When she was younger and more rambunctious she had a gentle mode for the kids. She tucks them in at night. My mom visited recently, Reese tucked her in every night, once asleep she came downstairs. Reese is bonded and BFF with Gracie cat who is also a rescue. Gracie and Reese sleep together always. Gracie is Reese’s emotional support during thunder storms. Reese loves the mailman and the delivery drivers. She waits to greet them! She seeks out children so she can see them. She would like to kiss them. Reese would like to kiss everyone that sits on our sofa on the lips! Reese was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor & oral melanoma 11/22. She had 2 surgeries and completed the Oncept series of the oral melanoma vaccine. She is doing well. She has no metastatic disease. She had 30 post Oncept chest X-ray. Dr wants chest X-ray at 3 & 6 mo post Oncept. At 6 mo she needs an Oncept vaccine. These costs total $2,129.21 I am still paying off medical expenses from an issue with my autoimmune (Lupus SLE, RA, Sjogrens) that caused loss of work, and I just had COVID and complications of for 3.5 weeks this March which I incurred a $3500 bill from Mayo.

I found omally one night leaving a gas station. I could hear a terrible cry. Once I located him I spent a couple hours trying to get him but I ultimately didn’t want to scare him into traffic. I ended up catching him the following night. Ironically less than 24 hours after putting down another of my cats that developed cancer. I definitely want him to be cured. But I took him to the vet when he started vomiting,and they charged me 372 just to tell me if I want to know for sure what is going on it would cost 2706.41 when everything was said and done. And only if they didn’t see anything after the imaging that would require surgery.. I am watching this beautiful baby slowly shrink and I can’t help him. I’ve only had him a month, and I wasn’t going to keep him but with my other baby dying. It only took an hour before I changed my mind. He is a firework when he’s not sick. I’ve never had such a goofy kitten. I feel absolutely horrible that I can’t help him, he doesn’t deserve any of this. Over the last week his personality is gone, he’s losing lbs. and I am unable to make him feel better I am currently on ssdi. Having the issues with the cat I had to put down cost me close to 1300. Even with what I get per month I’ll be paying for that for the next couple years.. And that’s only because my sister was able to help me out

Help Skid Steer Grow Strong After Losing His Siblings

Skid Steer is the last surviving kitten from a tiny litter that has already endured far more than any baby should. Skid Steer and his siblings, Dump Truck and Pay Loader, lost their mother and were taken into the care of an amazing foster who bottle fed them around the clock. At such a young age, orphaned kittens are incredibly fragile, and even small changes in their health can quickly become serious. A few weeks ago, Dump Truck became lethargic and was rushed to the ER. He was initially treated for dangerously low blood sugar and responded well enough that his foster was preparing to bring him home. But before he could be discharged, Dump Truck became unresponsive and sadly passed away. Pay Loader was also struggling to eat and required close monitoring. Despite receiving round-the-clock care and the attention he needed, Pay Loader also passed away. Losing both kittens was heartbreaking for everyone who had been rooting for them. Their foster did everything possible to give them a chance, but these tiny babies were simply too fragile to overcome the challenges they faced. Now, all of that care and attention is focused on Skid Steer. Thankfully, Skid Steer has come a long way, but he still has some growing to do before he is ready for the next stage of his journey. Because kittens need other kittens their age to tumble, play, and learn how to properly socialize, Skid Steer will eventually be introduced to a new group of kitten housemates. First, though, he needs to gain more weight and continue growing stronger. For now, his foster is providing the specialized care, nutrition, and attention he needs to keep moving forward. Your donation will help cover Skid Steer’s veterinary care, medications, and foster care as he continues to grow and gain strength. Skid Steer has already lost his mother and both of his siblings. Now he is the one we're fighting for. He deserves the chance to grow up, find some kitten friends, and discover that life can be about more than simply surviving.
