Smudge is a 7 year old Anatolian Shepherd Dog in Bellingham , WA, who needs $2,000 for Possible Poisoning - Exam and Blood Work.

Smudge was gifted to us by a friend at 8wks old. He is an anatolian shepard. He is family my son's call him brother and bestfriend. He is my fur baby, he has a sister also Iris. She joined our family a year later. We are a well bonded unit. Smudge had become an ESD comforting us when in need. Never leaving our side until he is sure we felt better. We are currently displaced from our home. As mentioned we are displaced from our home for safety issues, Smudge and sister Iris still stay on property they are sheltered and we visit daily, as we escaped an abusive living situation, Smudge became suddenly ill, losing weight dangerously to the point he is very thin weak and lost so much fur his back side is bald. We do not yet know what the diagnosis is as there are no funds for vet help Smudge love to sit and have heart to hearts as he took on the emotional support roll on his own, he lives to snuggle and hug. Smudge loves to wash his face, haha steal a wash cloth at any chance he get, happily using it to clean his face! He is also very protective of every family member, on walks he would herd the kids through the trails a job he took seriously keeping kids on path if they stray. I'm a single mom going through divorce leaving a abusive situation. I was a stay at home mom with health issues of my own. My 2 boys and I are waiting on housing, financially pressed. We are on the mend and recovering but did not expect Smudge to fall ill, please help him.

Riley

Riley is a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in LISBON FALLS, ME, who needs $2,000 for TPLO on 1 Knee.

LISBON FALLS, ME

I got Riley as a puppy from a highschool friend. She lives with my husband & myself along with her 19 year old sister Molly a yourke pug and a 17 year old cat named pipsqueek. She has been the most loving dog ever! If I ask her "do you need a hug?" Shell respond by putting a paw on each of my shoulders and kisses my face. She is so mart and loveable. She loves the grandkids who are 4,6,8 & 12. Riley was so excited to see my daughter that she jumped off the poarch instead of using the stairs, tearing her ACL. We are absolutely heartbroken when we found out the surgery is going to cost 6300. We simply can not afford it on our own. I am in college full-time working on my bachelor's degree and my husband is disabled. This absolutely breaks out hearts. She absolutely loves people and especially family. She gives kisses for days. She is suspose to be my emotional support animal but I think I am hers as well. She is my shadow and she goes everywhere with me. She loves going on our adventure walks in the woods, visiting family, swimming and cuddling on the couch. We are on a fixed income, my husband is disabled and I am in college full-time working on a bachelor's degree. We live month to month right now untill I finish college and get a job. It would mean the world to me to get Riley the surgery she needs so she can have a full life

Daisy

Daisy is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Apple Valley, CA, who needs $2,000 for Vet Visit, Diagnosis and Treatment of Leg Injury.

Apple Valley, CA

Back in 2016 our garage was broken into and we had lots of stuff stolen. My parents filed a police report but there was nothing they could do. My parents decided to get a guard dog. They found daisy at a shelter and surprised me when I came home from my grandparents. We found out she did not have the personality of a guard dog and she turned out to be the sweetest dog that we could possibly have. During the day I always let my dog in because its usually very hot or cold outside and she gets lonely and starts whining I usually close my door so she can't get out but I forgot to this one time and she knows she's not supposed to be out in the hallway. When I was walking down the hallway daisy must have heard me because she tried to run back to my room but slipped and fell awkwardly on her arm. Daisy is my best friend the only activity she likes is wrestling sometimes but she mostly likes the pets from me. When I would go to school she would wait by the outside back door until I got home to let her in. She is a big baby for a guard dog as she's afraid of everything cars, vacuums, water. She's nice to all people and animals but she does try to get the lizards however. I am attending college right now in my second year and all my financial money is going towards my education.I can't afford the treatments that daisy needs. It would mean the world to get my dog prancing around again because she deserves it after what she's done for our family

Josie

Josie is a 3 year old White English Bulldog in Columbus, OH, who needs $2,000 for Surgical & Med Mngmt; Enucleation and Daily Meds.

Columbus, OH • Stop the Suffering

* Stop the Suffering * Josie is a 3-year-old English Bulldog with a heart of gold that's in a delicate condition. Josie is looking for someone to willing to invest in her well being so her life is healthy. Josie has a heart arrhythmia that is better, but needs regular meds. She also requires seizure meds. Adopters should anticipate covering $200.00 a month on average for her medications for the foreseeable future. Josie recently had a cardiology evaluation that show she is no longer a surgery risk so she is finally being spayed and will also undergo surgery on an ulcerated eye. Josie is otherwise healthy and a very well behaved girl who loves to roam around in the yard. She is potty trained and crate trained. Her care has primarily been managed at the Cheshire Animal Hospital. She walks well on and off leash. Josie does well with other dogs, loves car rides, humans, being petted. Josie's quirks: people with hats make her nervous, loud noises like a vacuum cleaner make her run to another room, and she loves to shred trash bags if you shake them around her. She is an absolute joy in her foster home! We are a non-profit rescue group. We rescued Josie from a family who could not afford her care. As stated, she has had several consults and procedures in our care. Her medication averages at least $200 per month.

Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in North Attleboro , MA, who needs $2,000 for ICU Stay with Catheter Procedure, Imaging, Etc.

North Attleboro, MA

My daughter got Pumpkin Pie for Christmas and they have been inseparable since. She has Autism and Hypoglycemia and my son has Autism. He never leaves their side. When my daughter is sick and having low blood sugar, he will lay at her head. During my son’s in home therapy sessions, he’s in playing right along with them. We love him so much and he is such a light in my our lives. Pumpkin Pie is always active and playing with the kids. I found him laying in his litter box which is something he does not do. He wasn’t acting himself. He didn’t want to move and his tail was between his legs. It was 10 pm, so I called Tufts Emergency Vet. They had us come right down. He was diagnosed with a urinary blockage. Pumpkin Pie is a special kitty. His pure love for us is truly a gift. He loves his tiny humans as much as they love him. My son has an indoor play slide. Pumpkin Pie will take turns with him going down the slide. He lays on his back head first and will push the railing with his back paws to go down. We swear he knows when my daughter's blood sugar is getting low even before her Dexcom alerts us. We know how tough the times are financially for most. Matt’s company was bought out and unfortunately his yearly bonus which helps cover a large portion of expenses was cut drastically. We have had to rebudget and we just canceled the pet insurance as it doubled in price.

Photo of Rusty

Rusty

Rusty is a 8-month-old Mixed in Webster, NY, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Angular Limb Deformity.

Webster, NY

Rusty is the newest member of our family. We rescued him in August of 2023. He is 8 months old. We first discovered Rusty from an email sent to us by a local rescue. Valerie fell in love with his picture and I reached out to inquire about him. At that time we were told he had been adopted. About a week later we got a call from the rescue saying he was available. We adopted him the next day. Rusty loves to play with his brother, Bentley, and sister, Marcy (both rescues). He loves to run and chase a ball but we have to try to avoid that activity right now. He is a super snuggler and enjoys a good nap - especially if he is cozied up with his fellow pet buddies and his people. He is full of puppy energy, curiosity, and love. Rusty's favorite playmates are Marcy and Bentley. He likes to tease them into chasing him. He also has a surprisingly big, low, bark - which surprised us the first time we heard it. He has even made friends with the cats Finny & Fluffy. Although Finny is not 100% sure of Rusty, from time to time he runs up to him and bumps noses. It's super cute. They are working out their own language. We recently noticed Rusty's left paw turning out strangely. His vet recommended taking him to Cornell Animal Hospital. It was determined that he has an abnormal bone growth that requires surgery in order to avoid possible amputation as he ages. Because of his young age the prognosis is very good for him as long as its taken care of quickly while his growth plates are still active. We are on a fixed Soc Sec income and adopted Rusty while Valerie was going through her 2nd fight with cancer. That depleted our savings. Rusty brought a ray of sunshine into our lives during a very difficult time. Helping him grow up health and strong means everything to us.
