Hi, Goldie came to us on 9/6/24 from an online ad of somebody giving away a sweet golden retriever that needed a forever home. My daughter in law saw the ad, and knew I had been looking for the perfect pet for my children to help them. One lost her mother a few years ago and needed help coping with her trauma, and the other has ASD and ADHD. Goldie is sweeter than any human I ever met. 3 days after getting Goldie, we took her to the vet for a general checkup because she came with no information at all, and we found out that she has heartworms that need to be treated. Best Friends Veternarian is treating her. Goldie is the sweetest, most kind hearted dog ever. She loves anybody or any other four legged animal She comes in contact with. She does not bark at anything for anyone. She loves to cuddle, loves to be petted and loves the attention she gets from everybody. She sleeps with my children every night! She does not have to be put up in a crate When we are gone, she lays on the floor and waits on us. We did not really plan to get a pet so soon, Goldie Just fell in our lap. So this was a very unexpected expense that I do not have money saved up for. I am currently paying for my sons to knee surgery he had 6 weeks ago.

Charlie is a Shih Tzu and Bishon Frise mixed. I became Charlie's mommy on July 3rd, 2023. It was my 50th birthday and I knew I had to have him. He was 4 months old and a huge furball. He lives at home with his human sister, Kayla when she is not away at college. He also has a cat sister named Phoebe. He has brought so much joy to our lives and is my constant companion. This morning, Tuesday September 17th at 6:45 am, Charlie were doing our normal routine, of taking out the recycling and walking to the back yard to he can go potty. I turned my head for a split second, he was in the street and a car hit him. The car kept going. Charlie is currently in the hospital AminERge in Raritan. He has a head trauma, bruised lungs and his liver enzymes are elevated Charlie is everything to our family. He is our God sent gift and blessing.. Charlie and my daughter Kayla are so much alike. He is her in dog form:) Those two have such a special relationship. When she calls home from college, he perks up at her voice. Charlie is also my shadow. He basically goes every where with me and I feel like a part of me is broken. I have no one to blame but myself This was unexpected event. I just don't have it right now. I did not have monies put away for this which again is no one's fault but my own. My uncle, the man who raised me passed away and his services are this weekend in FL. Meet Millie!! She was picked up off the streets when she was roughly a year old. After not being claimed, we took her in to join our family of 4 humans, 4 dogs, 2 tortoises and 2 hamsters! Millie fit right in with everyone! She is now about 3 years old and is a sweet, energetic, goofy pup! She loves her humans and all of her furry sisters. Millie has entropion, which is where her upper eyelid rolls inward causing her hairs to rub against her eye and cause irritation. While the condition doesn’t stop Millie from being playful it has caused her more irritation as she gets older and if left untreated can cause ulcers, infections and even loss of vision. The surgery would pull the lid up and away from her eye so she is pain free! Millie loves to play with her sisters and any toy she can get her paws on. She absolutely loves car rides and hops and twirls and happily cries anytime she gets to go for a ride! Millie’s other favorite activity… being the keeper of the hamster ball! She will follow them around the whole house and even pinpoint us to their location! We are not ones to ask for help but this surgery will cost about $3,500 and it was most definitely unexpected. With having 4 other dogs that also require costly vet appointments and care and just unexpected life expenses this was just not an expense we were prepared for.

Shine

Shine is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Bedias, TX, who needs $2,000 for Wound Treatment and Infection.

Shine became a part of our family a little over 8 years ago as a puppy. We rescued her from people threatening to take her to the pound. As she started to grow we realized that our original thoughts about her breed mix where way off and she was going to be a much smaller dog than we thought, and she became known as Little Baby Shine since she would always be puppy size. Shine was unexpectedly attacked by dogs that have been together throughout their lives, without any type of warning. She suffered multiple puncture wounds. After a brutally long night Shine pulled through. Unfortunately, afterwards she developed an infection which was resistant to the antibiotics she was on. She is now on new meds and we are making great progress at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital Little Baby Shine has always been there for me. When I have a migraine she will cuddle up with me and put her head close to mine like she’s trying to take my pain.Losing my dad unexpectedly was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through and Shine would cuddle with me for hours not moving as I let out my emotions.Of course she saves me from eating my pizza crusts and the whole package of crackers too Our 1st estimate was $5k but after she made it through that night and the infection started to show then things quickly started to add up. Now her estimate is $20k but now that she’s fought through the hard part, how can I give up on her when she’s doing so much better?

I got Dallas when he was 3months old now Dallas is 9yrs old I brought him from a co-worker He's one of my kids i love him dearly I also have another fur baby name Marley and she 7rs old there very close the play together but lately he hasn't been himself and she cry due to him not felling well Dallas is a very loving pet Dallas has two growth on his left side neck that is the size of a baseball and on the right which I took him to the vet a year ago and it was much smaller the Doctor told me to leave it alone if it wasn't bothering him but it has grew very large and cause another problem on the right side as well Dallas is a Siberien Husky he loving he love to lay near you and be rub all day if he could Dallas does a lot of talking which is funny especially when yo tell him no or ask him did he do this he love to play with anything he can pull or tear up very funny to when i tell him no he start talking back I'm on a fix income and it would mean the world to me even to get him back to 90% of himself his vet bill is $2,819.00 to have both of them remove I'm having a difficult time coming up with the money for the surgery to have the removed

Our Trixie girl, we as a family always wanted to rescue a dog from a shelter and change their life to the best life a dog can have. We chose her because she looked so sad and all we wanted was to make her so happy. I believe we have done that for our girl. However, at a family BBQ at the end of June a firework went off and Trixie being so big and strong got away from me, ran and got hit by a car. We rushed our girl to VEG in whiteplains they told me there that the brachial nerve was most likely damaged in her front left leg, she did not walk for a week after this tragic event. We were pulling her around on a blanket and helping her along with a sling. Next the neurologist in Guardians in Brewster told us the same thing. We ultimately need to amputate her leg so she can flourish once again. Trixie is the sweetest biggest baby. She loves all dogs and children. Especially her two human brothers who adore her. She loves walkies, bones and cuddling. We couldn't ask for a better pup and we want nothing more then her to live her best life. And even though this is the last thing we would expect for our girl we will be beside her in her journey. This is Trixie's story. Trixie will need a complete amputation of the left front leg in order to regain her mobility to the best it can be. According to all the medical professional and my personal opinion she will do great and thrive on 3 legs. She is young and stong and needs this surgery.

I have had little missy since she was born on March 18 2022. Her mom was another cats first litter. I would feed them comb them and give them love as they deserved. So I basically rescued them in my sister's old neighborhood and when she moved out I brought them hm not knowing they both was pregnant. 2 wks later I had 11 kittens Missy being one of them. Little missy was fixed at 6 wks old by a snip program she had her shots and everything. She's always been healthy so no vet history. She started bloating a few months back don't know why then out of nowhere her breathing became a struggle and now she can barely move and meows in pain but overall she has been healthy and an indoor cat. I lost my oldest brother on 2020, my mom in 2021 I felt like everything I love is dying around me. My dad was depressed and his health went down hill however little missy brought back a smile and comforted him through the loss of his first born and his wife of 44 years and now another son in 2023 has passed away. I currently have a pending disability case I have been approved for full disability however the last hearing is in Sept 2024 and my dad's on disability but barely can make ends meet and little missy is hurting and I can't afford help.

The feline companion in question was acquired as a birthday present from a reputable animal shelter known as Wayside Waifs. He exhibits remarkable health and cohabits with his closest friend, my senior cat, who is five years of age and visually impaired in one eye. Nonetheless, he holds a significant position within our family unit. Unfortunately, on Wednesday night, our beloved pet got stuck in the baby gate. While attempting to assist him, I accidentally grabbed him incorrectly, resulting in a fracture of his left ulna bone in the shoulder. Regrettably, amputation was deemed the most suitable option by the veterinarian after considering three alternatives. He is a cuddly cat. He enjoys cuddling and watching TikTok or looking at Instagram with me. He likes to give me kisses on my nose to wake me up or jump on my face. He is the first kitten I have had in eight years after my first cat passed away from saddle thrombus. Having this little ball of joy makes me very happy. My eldest son has autism, and this cat is his best friend in the world. We are currently facing financial difficulties, and this situation has made it even more challenging for us. He was dumped in my old neighborhood back in 2016. He came right up to our porch just meowing and talking and wanting attention. He bonded with me right away. We figured he was dumped because he was already chipped and fixed, but the owners never contacted the chip company, so I kept him. He’s been my baby ever since. He needs to have at least one tooth pulled, maybe more, but they won’t know until they do the X-rays the day of the procedure. The left side of his face is paralyzed (don’t know how, he was like that when I found him) and so good gets trapped and has caused decay. The vet (Dr. Eric Weisgerber at Beechwold Veterinary Hospital) believes he his losing weight due to pain when he eats hard food. He is ornery and a pain in the butt sometimes, but he’s very loving. He always has to be around me, and talks as soon as he sees my car pull in the driveway. When he does feel like playing, he will play fetch just like a dog! He has to be up in our business and is super nosy, but he also is so loving and loves to cuddle. Right now I am unemployed, I lost my job 2 years ago because of my health issues. I’ve been trying for almost a year to find a new job and have had many interviews but nothing solid yet. My vet said he does need to have this done as soon as possible or it will get worse.
