Havoc

Havoc is a 9-year-old Great Dane/Boxer Mix in Thornton, CO, who needs $1,794 for Help Havoc Remove his Perianal Mass.

Thornton, CO

I am writing on behalf of one of my best friends, Wesley. Wesley lost his mom last year, and has been cripplingly depressed and suicidal ever since. One of the reasons he is so depressed is that his beloved dog, Havoc, a 9 year old Great Dane/Boxer mix, has a large perianal mass extruding from his butt, and he can't afford the vet care to remove it. Wesley has had his two great dane/boxer mises since they were puppies. He bought them as a gift for his now 9 year old daughter. After Wesley's mom's unexpected death, Wesley was left caring for his mom's house, her pets, and his own pets with no other family support. He doesn't have any other family or friends besides myself to speak of, and he has been slowly wasting away from depression. Havoc is the sweetest boy. He loves to play, walk, and cuddle, just like any aging dog. He looks like he is in pain, as he constantly licks at his rear end, but otherwise, he is in good spirits and good health. Within the last 24 hours, he has started getting diarrhea, and he needs to get this mass removed ASAP. We think we can save his life by getting this sweet doggy some much needed vet care Havoc was diagnosed with a large perianal mass extruding from his butt, but the vet didn't think it looked cancerous. She said it appeared benign, but I couldn't afford the diagnostic testing to confirm it wasn't cancerous. The vet recommended removing the mass, and neutering Havoc at the same time, as he is un-neutered and one of this testicles is much larger than the other. Wesley has been paying the mortgage for his mothers house, which he can barely afford. He is barely surviving financially, and he doesn't have the money for Havoc's surgery. My low-income vet quoted us at between $1600-1750 for the mass removal and a neuter at the same time

Chloe

Chloe is a 9-year-old Coon Hound in Keeseville , NY, who needs $2,000 for Eye Surgery/Cataracts.

Keeseville, NY

Chloe came into our lives as a rescue dog. We got her to be a big sister to our other dog, Lula, because Chloe had a vivacious energy about her that to this day has allowed her and her sister to lead energetic and wonderful lives. Chloe is the most docile, loving, happy and sweet girl. She snuggles on the couch every night, and loves nothing more than do run outside and play with her sisters. Or at least she used to until her medical condition arose. Being a coonhound, Chloe used to love running out in the fields chasing butterflies, and anything else that moved. Although she never was able to catch anything fortunately. Her strong sense of smell has allowed her to be a pup that loves to explore. A few months ago we came home from vacation and noticed Chloe was losing weight. Normally she is approximately 85 lb and solid muscle. Over the next few weeks she wasn't eating and got all the way down to 60 lb. When we finally were able to get into the Vet we were told that she was severely diabetic. Within a couple weeks after Her diagnosis she went completely blind with the lenses in her eyes becoming totally opaque. Now when we go for walks I have to have her on a leash. She cannot run and play like she used to and she seemingly has lost her zest for life. This absolutely breaks my heart and I would give anything for her to have the ability to see you again so that she can play with her sister and live out the rest of her life being active, happy, and chasing butterflies again. The surgery to have her regain her sight his upwards of $6,000 which is just not feasible for my single income with having to take care of my daughter and all the bills that most everybody has nowadays. It would be wonderful if somehow this site were able to give Chloe back the gift of site. I am a divorced single father who is taking care of my older brother and my teenage daughter. I lost my job last year and I am currently working another job but I half the income that I was making. This is not a sob story. I am doing fine and I will make ends meet. But as for Chloe, they're simply no way I can get her the surgery to have her regain and thus allow her to live a healthy active life again.

Chloe

Chloe is a 8-month-old Pomeranian in Grandview , MO, who needs $1,800 for Trochlear Sulcoplasty for Luxating Patellas.

Grandview, MO

My sweet little Pomeranian Chloe came into my life from a local shelter Wayside Waifs on April 11, 2023 when she was 10 weeks old. She was released from a puppy mill along with her sister and mother. I also have a 11 year old rescue Pom and a 12 year old rescue cat. I lost my 16 year old Pomeranian I had from puppyhood last October the previous year and Chloe helps to fill that void. Chloe is such a sweet little girl. I would love to have her become a therapy dog to visit people in nursing homes and any facility to cheer people up because of her gentle nature. I also have a 11 year old Pomeranian named Koby that I rescued 4 years ago. Chloe loves people and gets very excited when seeing and greeting others! She can't go for walks like other dogs. I'm hoping someday she can. Chloe is a happy little girl despite her knees popping with every step she takes. She can't run like she did when she was 10 weeks old due to her stage 4 luxating patellas. She walks a few steps and has to rest. She would be running around like a puppy if she could. Sometimes she has to lie down when eating. Chloe loves people and people love her! Chloe was diagnosed with grade 1 luxating patellas at 8 weeks old at the shelter. Her condition has progressed to stage 4 with limping and sitting a lot do to her inability to walk properly now at 8 months old. Her vet is Dr. John Lyle at Crest Animal Hospital in Kansas City MO. I'm hoping that someday Chloe can become a therapy dog visiting retirement homes, nursing homes and children in need. Chloe's surgery will cost around $1800 for each knee. I don't have the money to pay for her surgery. It would be wonderful to see my little Chloe running and jumping around like other dogs. She doesn't deserve to be in pain. Any donation will help this sweet little girl.

Stitch

Stitch is a 3-year-old Domestic Short Hair Cat in Davenport , FL, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal.

Davenport, FL

February 1, 2020 Stitch and his brother, Leo, came into this world. 8 weeks later I welcomed them into my home in a small town in Florida called Davenport. A few weeks later, at barely 3 months old, Leo was diagnosed with FIP. He went through a series of tests and treatments but nothing worked. He passed away June 7 earlier this year. Meanwhile, Stitch began growing this mass on his neck rapidly. Stitch is the most laid back boy I’ve ever met! He has 2 older brothers, Lewie and Zane, an older sister, Octavia, and 2 younger sisters, Stella and Anaya. He loves playing with them and chasing his mouse, however the mass on his neck results in him having shortness of breath and causes him to quit playing his favorite games and having to just watch them from his tower. Stitch causes smiles to those who enter the room. He welcomes you with headbutts and rubs, offering you his belly for scratches unlike any of his siblings lol. Stitch is truly one of a kind and we’d do anything to have as much time with him as possible. Once the mass on Stitch’s neck began to noticeably increase we took him to Orchid Springs Animal Hospital where they did many test and took lots of fluid out of it and gave him antibiotics and steroids. Just a few months later it tripled in size becoming the size of a baseball causing breathing difficulties We took him back to the hospital where they determined the mass was solid and needs surgery After losing my job due to heart problems and not being able to save money, the surgery seems nearly impossible, let alone the cost of test beforehand. Saving Stitch would mean everything to us. We’d do anything to help him live a longer life and play again.

Kahlua

Kahlua is a 9-year-old Pitbull in Lancaster, MA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Lancaster, MA

My beautiful pitbull was acquired by me in 2014 off of Craigslist. This woman who sold her to me, had no idea what she was doing with a young pup and didn’t have the ability to properly care for a doggy. I believe I saved her life! She is the sweetest girl I’ve ever met and she has carried me through many years as my rock. I came up with the name, kahlua, due to her coffee color coat! My kahlua sleeps under the blankets in bed with me. She burrows into any blanket she can. Her hobbies are light swimming, hiking to beautiful places and looking at the view, barking with other dogs, getting pets from everyone in site & having momma make her special foods. She lives a good, loving & happy life and she has no idea the quality of life she brings to me daily! The love of my life!!!! She talks all day long in different noises. She will follow me anywhere I go with eyes on me at all times. She is a particular eater and only mama can give her what she loves. She snorts and snores with her eyes wide open in hopes of more TLC. She’s afraid of inanimate objects, loud noises and people with bad intentions. She is a warrior and will make anyone smile with her flips and pushy love. My kahlua tore her left back ACL in January and had surgery in February of this year. She recovered well and that leg is in tip top shape. Unfortunately she has now torn her second one in a year. Two TPLO surgeries in a Year is really difficult on the wallet and the mental health. We go to Townsend veterinary and we use Dr Easley. I am sure he will recover her once again once funds are in place. I am a chef and don’t make all that much money. This is almost $4300 and just not something I have on hand. Her happiness and longevity of life is all that matters to me. She is healthy otherwise and should live another 6-7+ years. Praying and hopeful for any and all help!

Reefy

Reefy is a 6-year-old Long Haired Domestic Cat in Plattsburgh, NY, who needs $1,100 for Extraction of Teeth.

Plattsburgh, NY

My son & his girlfriend adopted Reefy from the shelter in 2020 after he was abandoned to the shelter but it wasn’t a good fit with their dog. So instead of sending him Back to the shelter feeling abandoned again I took Reefy in. He lives currently with just myself in a two bedroom apartment. We lost his sibling Brooklyn who I had since 6 weeks to renal failure this past January. Reefy is very attached to me since Brooklyn passed. When I first night him into the home he adjusted well but always would be at the end of the bed. I feel he must have been with other cats that received more attention than him in his previous home. He played well with his sibling Brooklyn very well. When Brooklyn passed Reefy became used to being the center of attention. Reefy is such a character. He shows so much love and is an avid headbutter and loves to Play with hair. And he immediately will roll over four paws in the air when you ask him to see his belly and to have his belly brushed. Reefy was being fussy completely stopped Eating Saturday it seemed he was trying to pass a hairball. took him to the vet Mon.. they did X-rays & thought maybe was a hairball stuck. he was backed up with stool. Tues he was no better. they did X-rays that came out well except for inflammation. He was admitted and the vet concluded late yesterday it was his teeth and he needs 7-8 teeth pulled. I live in a fixed income and I have already exhausted my savings for First days visits and meds. I lost my Brooklyn in January and I live alone and I just can’t bear the thought of losing my Reefy should his teeth not be extracted to avoid infection to his blood stream.

Button is a 11-year-old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever Mix in Memphis, TN, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy.

Memphis

I found my boy when he was about 6 months old. We’ve been best buds since! 11 years together and he hasn’t slowed down yet, even with his diagnosis. I was in my very early twenties when we named him, so we were just throwing names out there to see what stuck. He responded to being called buttmunch in a very cute way, by tilting his head and becoming very excited and the rest is history. He is a mostly lazy boy at home until it is time to go outside or for a walk. He is still very full of energy and loves to play! He is a big snugglebud and 100% a lap dog. He is very respectful of our and our other pets space and is an all around good boy. Him and I share a special bond and have kind of grown up together, in a way. He’s a very silly boy that loves to roll around and kick the air with his back legs, and keeps himself mostly entertained and stays smiling. He has a silly habit of nibbling at my beard on my chin in a back and forth way like he’s eating corn, and he will not let me rest until he gets to do it at least once a day! He was diagnosed with lymphoma on 6/7/23 after discovering suspicious nodes. I was devastated, and was preparing to say goodbye to my sweet boy. He is 11 years old, but has no age related issues and looks and behaves as if he’s still 6 or 7. I spoke with Dr. Mitchener at Bluff City Vet Specialists. She was confident he could reach remission by chemo, and have more time and quality of life. Was furloughed from my job during COVID, which led to me filing bankruptcy, then ran it up again trying to fix my car which ended up a lost cause. His treatments cost much more than I can afford, but we’re handling them one at a time. His health is the most important to me.
