Meet Simba Simba is my 1-year-and-7-month-old male American Shorthair cat, and he means everything to our family. I adopted him as a kitten along with his sister because I couldn’t bear to separate them. They’ve grown up together, and Simba has always been a sweet, playful, and loving presence in our home. Why Simba Needs Help Simba is currently hospitalized after an emergency visit revealed that he ingested an unknown object. X-rays showed that the object has caused an impaction in his stomach, preventing normal bowel movement. This condition is serious and required immediate veterinary care. He is currently being treated at VEG Animal Hospital in Larkspur, California, where he is staying overnight for hospitalization, intravenous fluids, monitoring, and supportive care. The veterinary team is working to rehydrate him and closely monitor his condition in hopes that the obstruction will pass on its own. Urgency of Care At this time, the goal is to avoid surgery. However, if Simba does not have bowel movement and the obstruction does not resolve, surgery may become necessary to save his life. His care is urgent, and treatment costs are accumulating due to diagnostics, hospitalization, medications, and continuous monitoring. Zozo is a 10 month old Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael) in Ballston Lake, NY, who needs $10,000 for Radial and Ulnas Fracture Repair Surgery.

On Thursday overnight, my world turned upside down. Zozo, my 10-month-old Belgian Sheepdog and service dog in training, landed poorly while jumping and broke both bones in his front left leg. He’s just a baby — full of life, curiosity, and joy — and suddenly he’s facing an injury that could permanently change his future. Right now, Zozo is undergoing weekly sedated re-splints to stabilize his leg. His veterinary team believes he is a strong candidate for surgery, with an excellent chance at healing and living a full, active life — but the surgery must be done within the next 2 weeks to save his leg. The estimated cost of surgery and care is around $10,000, which is more than I can manage on my own. Zozo loves to work, learn, and move. He thrives on activity — running, training, exploring, and being by my side. He is happiest when he’s engaged with the world. Without this surgery, there is a real risk that his mobility will be permanently limited, affecting not just his ability to be active, but his quality of life for years to come. The thought of him being held back by pain or limitation at such a young age is heartbreaking. Zozo is more than a dog to me. He is my companion, my support, and a huge part of my heart and soul. I am doing everything I can to give him the care he deserves, and asking for help is not easy — but I can’t do this alone. Persephone came into my life when I was 16 years old and when she was just born. I've had her since she was born watched her grow up from a little bean and she watched me grow up as well. She has always been an amazing cat so well behaved and respectful and she loves her mommy. I noticed a lump on Persephone's arm pit about the size of a half dollar I'm so scared for her and for me. I barely have the money to afford me and her and I don't know what I'm going to do. Im asking for help so I can take her and make sure everything is okay. And I'm taking her to tazewell animal hospital. Persephone is my best friend and I'm hers, she's always with me if she can get to me. She's so kind and loving but also has a sassy attitude. Hi! i rescued ollie when he was just 1 month old, he is 4 now. he’s always been healthy & has never had issues. recently he has fallen very ill with gastrointestinal issues. ollie has been having extreme gastrointestinal issues like extreme vomitting. he can’t hold anything down. unfortunately i do not have enough funds to get him seen to see whats wrong. the past 3 months have been rough on my financially after losing my father. this was so unexpected & i am devastated. ollie is a special kind of cat. i’ve never seen a cat so sweet ever in my life. he loves cuddles, he loves to be picked up & carried around the house like a baby. he is not aggressive & he loves family most importantly & i love him. i need help to get my fur baby back to his happy self again! to have ollie back to the way he was would mean everything to me. seeing him in discomfort has my anxiety through the roof & it pains me knowing i don’t have the funds to get him the proper care he needs. i don’t want to fail him. i am not sure if he has an obstruction.

We got Elsie by way of a family friend in February of 2018; she was 8 weeks old. When we got her, we had two other dogs and two cats, it is now just her and my sister's 15-year-old cat. We live in a 2-bedroom, 2nd floor apartment. Elsie started to limp with her left hind leg in June, it became more frequent and more pronounced as summer progressed. She was assessed as having pulled a muscle and prescribed pain meds. After the pain meds ran out, it wasn't better. We took her to Vetco, they took x-rays, they concluded she needed surgery and referred us to specialty vet hospitals. We chose Premier Veterinary Group. Elsie will jump into your arms like she's still a puppy, lick your face and make you fall in love with her. She loves to play, especially with her friends. She is also very gentle with smaller animals and children. She is even gentle with my sister's very grumpy cat. She is spoiled, thanks to me and her admirers, and clever. She is an escape artist. She is protective of her family. We love her. I am a teacher's aide for CPS; I love my work. Unfortunately, Elsie's torn CCL requires a $7,300 surgery so she can have 80% -90% mobility again. There is also a needed MRI to fully assess a recent seizure. This will cost an additional $5,000.

Dolly is a rescue. She is part of our family — me and my daughter Olivia in Gulfport, MS. She is gentle and calm. She sleeps by Olivia’s door. She nudges me when I am anxious. She makes our home better. Lately she is tired. The heartworm diagnosis explained why. Dolly has heartworms. She was seen at Animal Care Clinic in Wiggins, MS by Dr. Warren Martin. Her treatments total estimated cost is $1,232.75. It includes injections, medicine, radiograph, doxycycline, prednisone, medical waste disposal, Proheart injection, heart worm therapy, etc. She needs care soon. Waiting is dangerous for her heart and lungs. She can get better with full treatment. Dolly is family. She comforts Olivia when she is upset. She leans on me when my PTSD flares. She is calm and gentle. She loves car rides. She gives love quietly and fully. Anyone who meets her feels her warmth. She has helped us more than most people. Getting her healthy again keeps our family whole. The treatment costs over $1,200. I cannot pay it. Asking for help is hard but Dolly’s health comes first. Every donation brings us closer. She needs treatment soon. Heartworm is serious. Getting Dolly healthy means everything. She deserves energy and tail wags.

Oscar came into our lives in 2020 as a foster. A friend of ours had kittens and couldn't find homes for them all. Instead of sending him to a shelter, I offered to foster him. It didn't take long for him to become a foster fail. He is the sweetest scaredy cat ever! A few months ago I noticed 3 small lumps on Oscar's rear leg. I didn't think anything of it, but then a month or so after, I noticed them getting bigger and joining into 1 bigger lump. After 2 failed attempts to aspirate them due to them being too hard, the vet decided the only option is to do a biopsy and then ultimately surgery to remove them. It may end up in an amputation, but I'm praying not. It is impossible to describe Oscar. He is so gentle with humans and will run and hide from people he's scared of. Him and Snuggle Bug (Elly's cat) have become so close in the last year. I'm not sure what each would do without the other, honestly. Oscar is my covid cat, my gentle giant, foster fail, and big baby boy. I have part of the money needed to get Oscar his biopsy. But with the holidays and other life issues (house and car issues), it's difficult to come up with the rest for the surgery. Knowing he could get the surgery and hopefully, a clean bill of health would be a relief.

This handsome baby was a victim of owner abuse and was dropped off in middle of summer with prolapse rectum and cryptorchid with no good or water. He was taken into animal shelter where I fell in love with him and adopted him. He has developed rectum prolapse and it’s a dare emergency to get him into surgery to actually fix the prolapse not just do a string intact that doesn’t hold which was what was performed at animal shelter. Lance is the biggest love bug. He never sees a stranger and loves so much even though he’s not had the easiest life thus far. Him being dropped and was abused in prior home to having lice or death medical emergency. This boy is full of life and hope I can get him the surgery he desperately needs so he can live out his life. He brings so much h joy to my darkest days. He lights up the room. I work as Airbnb cleaner and literally went from making 1000 a week to down to 500 a month. It would mean the world to have Lance back to normal and be able to live and not die which is what is going to happen if surgery isn’t performed.

Cooper was rescued from a heartbreaking situation in Hawaii, and brought to the mainland by a kind soul. When I met him he was scared & didn’t know how to handle the world. I knew it would be a financial hardship to adopt him, yet I knew that he needed a stable home with someone who could devote time to making him feel safe & train him, & I could provide that. He’s made so much progress! When Cooper came to live with me I noticed the tip of his canine tooth was broken. The vet at Animal Hospital of Factoria looked at it and let me know that they need to extract the tooth to keep it from abscessing and causing him pain and/or potentially worse issues Cooper is loving, goofy, smart, wants to please and show off his sassiness. Now that he’s feeling safe & confident, he’s progressing well in training as a service dog. He loves people & dogs, and has quickly warmed his way into the heart of friends and family as well as a ton of strangers. 400 characters is too few to express how special he is! I’m between jobs on a fixed income. Cooper has had such a rough beginning & is such an amazing dog! I just want him to have the healthy restart that he deserves!
