Tiger

Tiger is a 8-year-old American Shorthair in Centerville, IA, who needs $1,200 for Tooth Extraction.

Centerville, IA

A couple of kids in our neighborhood found Tiger as a six-month old kitten, and brought him to us because they knew we had other rescue cats and would know how to take care of him. The kids had already named him and the name stuck, so we called him Tiger too. We raised him up from a kitten and though he's eight years old now, he's definitely still a kitten at heart! Tiger is eight years old now, but he's got a lot of good years left ahead of him! He's as sweet as can be, always waiting by the door to welcome you home and rub all over your legs! He loves to use people's arms as a pillow and take a nap there, especially his dad's! He always starts purring the second you pick him up, and he loves to be carried against your shoulder like a baby. Ice cubes are one of his favorite toys! Every time I go to open the fridge or the freezer, he's there between my legs waiting for me to drop an ice cube for him, and he loves to bat it around the kitchen until it melts. He's also a big fan of birdwatching, he'll sit in the window and chitter at them for hours! Tiger went in for a tooth cleaning with our family vet & they diagnosed him with stomatitis, a condition where the immune system attacks the teeth and gums. It causes painful inflammation in the mouth, & it's been making it really hard for Tiger to eat. Surgery will be 3/22, & he has a really good chance to make a full recovery & live a long, healthy life! Other than this sudden, unexpected diagnosis, Tiger has been healthy as a horse for the past eight years, and we can't wait for him to get back to his usual boisterous self! This is just a major expense that has caught us at a bad time, so any help would be appreciated!

Boomer

Boomer is a 5-year-old Labrador in Clinton, UT, who needs $2,000 for ACL Repair.

Clinton

This is our big boy, Boomer. We adopted him when he was just a few month old and he has been terrorizing us ever since. Boomer is 5 years old weighing a whopping 125 lbs. He’s a big boy full of energy and love. He is the absolute best family dog and our 1 year old has taken quite a liking to our “bubba”. Boomer is the most gentle giant you will meet. While he will whip you with his tail and step on your feet, and occasionally knocks the kids over, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. His personality matches his size. He is vocal and demanding. When he wants something he will let you know. He’s the sweetest, most obnoxious lug and we wouldn’t trade him for the world. Boomer is as prissy as they come. He requires only the finest of cuisine know to dog and the comfiest of couches to lay his head. As well as not one but two puppy cookies in the evening before bed. Oh, and don’t forget the butt and belly scratches. It you already knew that. He love being outside running a muck, the water, and camping. Back in October Boomer injured his knee causing a partial ACL tear. We took him to our veterinarian, where they told us that he would probably need surgery. We were just healing it up at home and it was going well until New Year’s Day when he got to wild outside and competed the injury. He’s needing plates in his knee as well as medication to help his newly discovered arthritis. The surgery on this one knee will end at about $6500 and his vet told us that he will need the other one does sooner or later as a result of the added stress. Unfortunately, we do not have $6500 set aside for the surgery and he needs it ASAP to alleviate his pain.

Louie

Louie is a 2-year-old Husky in Wilmington, OH, who needs $648 for Melarsomine.

Wilmington, OH

Louie was given to me as a gift and is my PTSD service dog. We have even been in the newspaper. Louie not only helps me but others around me that are upset and need comforting. Louie has a sister Jinx that loves him and misses being able to play with him. Louie is a wonderful companion to myself and his sister. Louie loves people and other dogs. He loves to watch birds and cats. He sleeps with me every night but since he has been on prednisone, he hasn't been resting well. Louie has been spending his time watching everything going on around him since he has been sick. It has been very challenging keeping Louie calm and on active restrictions Louie is the most calming and affectionet dog. He has helped greatly with my recovery as well as helping others that he comes in contact with. Louie is very vocal and loves to carry on conversations and often voices his opinion on everything. I hope that after his lengthy treatment he can get back to normal. Louie was diagnosed with heartworms 12/22/22, he is currently on Antibiotics and prednisone but will require the expensive shots to get rid of the heartworms. At present Louie doesn't feel the greatest he gets tired easy and out of breath. He is on activity restrictions and spends most of his time resting. I am currently unemployed and spent all my emergency funds on Louies vet care. I am actively trying to sell items and borrow money to get Louie healthy again. Louie is currently very picky with what he will eat since he has been sick and often will only eat chicken.

Photo of Murphy

Murphy

Murphy is a 6-year-old Irish Setter in Fairhope, AL, who needs $1,200 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Fairhope, AL

Murphy is the sweet goofball of the house! We are a family of 3 teenagers, mom, a dog brother and 3 cat brothers. He is a 7 year old neutered Irish Setter. He lives in Fairhope, AL. He was born in Mississippi and came to live with us at 16 weeks of age. His older brother, Fletcher, a flat coat retriever, is his best friend. Murphy is a sweet, funny, silly boy! He steals items to initiate games of chase - his favorite being a loaf of bread. He doesn't eat the bread, just brings it to me, stands still until I notice it, then takes off running! If he can't find a loaf of bread, he will bring a shoe, one of his toys, or a random item he knows he shouldn't have. He is always ready to run and play in the backyard! Murphy is incredibly vocal! If you know anything about Irish Setters, they love to sing songs! He serenades me every time I walk into the kitchen or near the back door. He sleeps in the wildest positions, often with all paws sticking straight into the air. Typical for Setters, he demands huge piles of pillows instead of a traditional dog bed, but a nice pile of clean laundry will suffice. Murphy saw his regular veterinarian when he began limping after Thanksgiving. His doctor suspected he had torn his CCL. We aren't sure how he did it, but suspect he hurt himself while running/playing in the backyard. His veterinarian will perform a TLPO procedure to help Murphy get back on 4 paws. I am a single mom to 3 teens, a high school science teacher, and an animal lover. This makes unexpected expenses difficult to afford. Many have said his leg will heal, but he will not put weight on it and cries in pain daily. I can't bear to see Murphy in pain any longer.

AR Johnny Cash

AR Johnny Cash is a 3-year-old ESH Cat in Princeton, WI, who needs $1,800 for BOAS Surgery.

Princeton, WI

Johnny came into my life from my daughter. She became homeless with her 3 children, out of an abusive relationship. He was 2 when I got him. He is an ESH cat. He originally came from a backyard breeder, sadly. My daughter did not know any better. She in Tennessee, I in Wisconsin. He has extremely bad breathing issues. His nose holes (nares) are nearly non existent. Needs palate surgery. He is 3yrs He is so loved!! He has the most gorgeous HUGE golden eyes!! I have 2 other kitty's that he loves to try to play with. But because of his tiny nose holes, the vet said I need to make sure he stays calm so he don't go into respiratory distress. My grandly love him so much, as he was their kitty! He always snuggles up with them when they come to visit! He LOVES baths!!! He has the most unique coloring! He's pure white, with a black tail only!! He has the most gorgeous BIG GOLD eyes!! And he really is a talker, but only at night, lol!! He's the first to be in the kitchen when it's dinner time! And he absolutely loves kitty tunnels! We have 3 in the house! He thinks he's hiding and that I cannot see him, lol! Johnny was born with extremely tiny nose holes that he can barely breath out of. He snorts, weezes, mouth breathes, and forces the air out. His sides heave in and out with each breath he takes. With his nose needing to be widened, he also needs surgery done on his palate. Needing a specialty vet for these procedures. With needing to stay at pet hospital for 24hr round the clock observation. I am needing help as I am disabled and only receive disability monthly. I almost died in a car accident 8yrs ago. Johnny will not live a good full life without this surgery. He means the world to me. He is my emotional therapy animal. He is not allowed run around and play becausehecan'tbreath

Beachwood, NJ

Bella came into my life as a little puppy. I rescued her from Camden. She was so beautiful. Bella currently lives with me in my apartment her situation now is she don’t feel good she’s vomiting and not holding food down. She won’t hold food down if she’s very lethargic I just want her to go back to the regular Bella. Bella, it’s just a regular clown. She loves people and smother them with kisses. She loves attention and just follows everyone everywhere. My family loves her she’s a big part of my family Bella in my family is considered my daughter. She’s my psychic wherever I am she is. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. She does this growling thing that is so cute because she’s talking to you. She goes on her back and shows her belly cause she wants to be rubbed. It does this at your thing she makes so many people smile in different ways between her, barking her talking to you or Zumiez, and how she comes to you with her red ball that she’s had since a puppy She had an operation two years ago for her uterus because she had pyometra now she don’t feel good she’s vomiting not holding anything down and she has a big mass under her breast. I can’t afford her veterinarian bills just to bring her to the vet. It’s too much for me. I have a job but I don’t make much. I have enough just to survive between threat and other bills I can’t afford any extra. this is very unexpected. She was fine days ago and now I don’t know what to do. I love her so much and I just wanna help her.

Odin Jones

Odin Jones is a 5-month-old Cane Corso in Derry, NH, who needs $2,000 for Emergency Surgery.

Derry, NH

Odin Jones was born on August 10 with 11 brothers and sisters in Hampstead NH. We brought him home in October and he immediately started exploring his new surroundings. Odin is our first dog and he definitely has taught us a lot about being responsible for a pet and taking care of such a beautiful creature. We’ve learned much and he has definitely become part of the family. Odin loves to greet everyone who comes into the house with a wagging tail and hugs with a lot of slobbery kisses. He has his own playroom where we have all of his toys and enough space for him to get tuckered out. His current favorite toy is a kong brand turkey that we purchased for him recently. Odin is a very lovable pup who is quick to learn and very food motivated. If you have a treat in your hand, you can be sure he will listen to your every command. Heel, sit, stay, lay down, paw, he’ll do it all. Now if you don’t have a treat, then he gets a little hard of hearing haha. He has a habit of running away with and chewing on various household items(like our Christmas ornaments) Odin unfortunately has a bit of a taste for socks and has completely ingested and passed about 5 socks through vomiting and pooping. We ended up taking him to an emergency veterinary hospital and they discovered a very large sock that he is unable to pass. They recommended emergency surgery and gave us an estimate that we just can’t afford. The estimate was $5,500 Financial burden has impacted us especially greatly during these last few months going into the holiday season. Our car broke down, one of us lost a job, and we had to move unexpectedly. Any help would be greatly appreciated to get this puppy back to living his life

Thumper

Thumper is a 14-year-old Terrier in Riverbank, CA, who needs $2,000 for Mass Removal.

Riverbank, CA

Thumper was abandoned at a few hours old. I saved her and bottle fed her. She is now fourteen. She was a healthy active dog until a month ago. She started off with a small bump on her belly. About two weeks ago it started growing rapidly. It is now the size of a egg. Thumper is so loved. She is my five year old daughters best friends and like a child to me and my husband. Thumper is slightly spoiled. She spends her days lounging around the house. She requires daily walks to the park and several hours of cuddle time each day. She sleeps with mommy at night and stays by her side all day. She has us all wrapped around her little paw. The last two weeks have been hard on her and all of us. Thumper loves swimming and the snow. She runs around the park and loves having her human sister chase her in the big field. She can swim for hours fetching sticks. Then she cuddles up as close as possible to my legs to go to sleep. She runs around all day with her two much. legged sister. They love each other so About a month ago thumper developed a small bump and within a few weeks it grew to approximately 3inches by 2inches. The vet states the tumor has its own blood supply and needs to be removed quickly. Thumper is fourteenth surgery is risky but it is the only option right now. She has been healthy all her life until now. I am disabled and can't afford her surgical bill alone. I'm looking into all options because I need my baby. Thumper is so important to all of us. We love her ❤️ She is family.
