Night Fury

Night Fury is a 7-year-old American Shorthair in Bremerton, WA, who needs $2,000 for Cystotomy.

Bremerton, WA

Fury and his brother were 6 weeks old when we got them in 2014. They happily live with me and my parents. Fury enjoys his days cuddling with his brother and the humans, basking in the sun, and playing in paper bags. He sometimes gets into trouble, but he is overall a good kitty who bring so much joy to the family. Fury and his brother, Storm Cutter are inseparable. They may have little "disagreements" day to day, but they always makeup and cuddle not to long after. Every night he cuddles up with me, his human mom, and purrs me to sleep. And when I come home from work he is always so happy to see me, and won't settle down until I sit and cuddle him. I'm 18 years old, working part time and I can't afford this surgery. I've only saved $1000, It's at least 4k, and he needs it soon. If he blocks again he may not survive, and I can't lose him like that. I don't want him to suffer because I couldn't save the funds in time. He's always had crystals in his urine, which have caused him to get a urinary blockage in 2017. He has been put on a diet to minimize them, but still those crystals have collected into stones that could potentially dislodge and block his urinary tract once again. His primary vet and hospital are Bekah Garrison at VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital. He's a very cuddly cat. He, for some reason, loves kisses on his forehead. If you scratch right above his tail on his back he uncontrollably licks whatever he can reach. He is also so affectionate. He "grooms" the bridge of my nose and I'll give him kisses in return. He also tucks his head into my arm when he lays on my lap.

Frankie

Frankie is a 7-year-old Maltese in Buda, TX, who needs $1,999 for Fibrosis.

Buda, TX

Frankie is pretty much my baby that I don’t have. He was a rescue that I took in 4-5 years ago. He is an inside dog but loves to take car rides and be outdoors. He’s is very smart and loving. Anyone who gets to meet Frankie knows what’s joy he is. He is always everyone’s favorite whether it be at the vet, pet store or just on a walk. Frankie lives at home with 2 other female dogs, Rosie and Noa. Out of the 3 he is the most loving. He loves food! Lets just say, he is everyone’s favorite. I’m not just saying that because he’s my pet, he truly is. He loves to sleep on his back next to me in my bed. He is very vocal when he wants something, or he will even give you a tap with his paw. This was a very sudden expense. I always do everything I can to make sure Frankie’s help is in great condition it these expenses are going to break me. I’m thankful to have a credit card, but it’s just a about maxed out. He will be on life long treatment. Frankie was recently diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA) but after a bone marrow and based off systems they believe he has fibrosis. In his condition he will be on medication for life, plus blood transfusions. He is currently being treated at the Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital, South Austin location. Frankie is the sweetest boy ever. Does not like to fight with other dogs, but he is very vocal when things need to be noticed. Smart is to say the least. He likes the camera and will do anything for a treat. I have a few videos on him on Tik Tok. He also loves going for walks and meeting new people.

Photo of Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu in Hamilton, ON, who needs $2,000 for aggressive treatment for immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA).

Hamilton

Teddy came home with me in Sept 2019 as a foster from a new local dog rescue. He had been rescued in July, but his fosters, vet visit, and grooming appointment didn't go well. Within a few days at home with me and my dog Harry, people asked "Is that...Teddy? He's a different dog!" He was calm, quiet and happy, thanks to fresh air and exercise. We kept his name, Teddy Bear. That's what he is! Teddy loves to hip-check Harry when walking together, or to start up playtime - especially on top of the covers at bedtime! Teddy loves fetch, going for walks, and stealing food out of grocery or lunch bags or off table tops. He is a good guard dog, with a loud "arrrrooof!" He cries during baths, and "ruffs" under his breath while dreaming. It would mean the world to get Teddy back to good health! I had been ill and out of work. Been back at work but underemployed, and used my last savings of emergency care for Teddy Jan 16 - 18. To lose him over the cost of urgent care he needs...just breaks my heart Suddenly, Teddy stopped eating, became weak and lethargic. Tests are consistent with AIHA, autoimmune hemolytic anemia. He may have eaten something toxic, like onion - he's only 15 lbs - it doesn't take much. He needs aggressive short term care to survive this acute stage, then a few months of treatment. He's young - only 4 - so his prognosis is good long term. Teddy loves his big brother Harry, and bounces up to a friendly 100 lb Red Bone Coonhound. When he's happy, Teddy wriggles on his back adorably! He arrived terrified of being handled or groomed, but will happily oblige in exchange for liver treats or all natural PB. Last summer, he stole cherry tomatoes right off the vines. I hardly got any!

Figaro

Figaro is a 2-year-old Tabby in Issaquah, WA, who needs $1,000 for Obstruction removal.

Issaquah, WA

I took my 3 year old daughter to the pet store 2 years ago to see if they had any kittens for adoption. Then we saw Figaro. He was rescued at 2 months from living on the streets in his own. He was so shy when we met him. The moment we pet him we fell in love and just knew he was going to be apart of our family. He is the fur brother of our 3 daughters. He is so loving and is so patient with them. Our oldest daughter deals with anxiety and he helps her cope when she is having issues. He plays a race game that my middle daughter made up to play with him. He LOVES eating, reminds us of Garfield. He is a huge part of our family. Due to Covid I have been out a job for months now. We have 3 daughters including a newborn. It would mean the world to us and our daughters if we could have some assistance in paying for the surgery to bring their brother home. We have baby bottles put away in an enclosed dryer. Figaro got into it and ate a bunch of hard pieces of the bottles and nipples He has been throwing up for 2 days. He is in surgery now to remove the object. He is at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Seattle WA. His Vet is Megan E. Davis Figaro is one lazy guy who is food OBSESSED. he has one Toy that we named CheChe that is his favorite. He used to play fetch with him when he was a kitten. Now as an adult he just throws him around the house and plays fetch himself. When I was pregnant he played on my belly and cuddled with the baby.

Photo of Link

Link

Link is a 6-year-old American Short Hair in Frazier park, CA, who needs $1,900 for four quadrant extraction /sulcal debridement.

Frazier park, CA

Link is the love child of a rescue and my cat. He was born April 21st, 2014 along with a twin brother and a sister. Link has been through hell. He’s been hit by a car, seen his father get mauled. Lost brothers and sisters and still has a smile and a kiss for everyone. His baby brother passed on 10/30 of this year of congestive heart failure at seven months old. Now he has a painful mouth ulcer. Link is his mom and baby brother Joeys best friend. He grew up with baby brother, who was born 5 months after he was born. When his dad died last year from a dog attack he took over the responsibilities of daddy kitty. He helps every foster who comes in learn the ropes. He cuddles with every one and gives what we call Link kisses. He is the best cat anyone could ask for ♥️ We are low income because we have two special needs children and I am disabled. We already paid a bill on 10/30 after our kitten had difficulty breathing and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was put to sleep. We need help with a second bill in the month. Link has been crying for the last two weeks and has been having trouble eating so we checked his mouth, besides notable stomatitis (that we treated with antibiotics from the vet in June) we noticed a medium sized ulcer on the side of his cheek that is causing him pain. We just had to put the kitten down on 10/30 and we can’t afford a second vet bill so we’re asking for help. Link gives the best love. Kisses, cuddles, he’s vocal and yells "mom!" often when he can’t find me. He’s super sweet and loves every animal. He used to be the neighborhood bunny protector and laid with and kept warm all the newborn bunnies next door years ago. He has the best heart in a cat I have ever met.

Photo of Kota Bean

Kota Bean

Kota Bean is a 5-year-old Border Collie/Lab Mix in Holly Springs, NC, who needs $1,035 for a Fractured Hip and Torn Ligament .

Holly Springs, NC

Sam and I moved in together in August of 2016, my parents were moving to New Mexico where they were being stationed, which meant the family dogs were leaving too. We strongly believe that a house is not a home without a dog, so in preparing for our new home, we went to a Petsmart adoption center and rescued a scared little mutt that was shoved in a too small cage. We knew she had to be ours!! Kota Bean has a baby sister that she helped raise, her name is Juno. Kota is the mother in our household, she is kind and caring and always knows how you are feeling and knows just when to cuddle you! She sleeps with us every night and wakes us up almost every morning by kissing us in the face...we think it’s her own way of saying GOOD MORNING!! Kota Bean will need surgery or PT to ensure a quick recovery. We are both graduate students and we are new to the job market, so our current salaries do not support this emergent surgery and treatment. We cannot allow our dog to suffer and would appreciate any help. On Friday, 10/30/20, Bean and Juno were playing at the dog park together. Juno got the zoomies and slammed into Bean at full speed and Bean went flying. At first we thought it was a sprain, but when she started crying we took her right to the vet. Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital in Holly Springs diagnosed her with a fractured hip and a torn ligament. She had x-rays and MRIs done to confirm. Kota Bean is the only dog we’ve ever had that loves to cuddle. You can pick her up and carry her like a baby, cuddle her on the couch while you watch a scary movie or dress her up in cute costumes! When we walk her around the neighborhood she never fails to make someone smile because of her cute outfits.

Erebus

Erebus is a 4-year-old Boxer/Pit in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $374 for Cold Laser Therapy.

Fort Wayne, IN

I rescued Erebus around 3 years ago from Angola shelter, they said he was found as a stray. He was adopted by someone, but was brought back after only a week. They said they couldn't handle him. His name comes from a Greek God, representing the personification of darkness, born of chaos. He is my jokester, MY chaos! And I wouldn't have him any other way!! He is my cuddle buddy and my protector!!! Erebus enjoys jumping in my bed after I get up to sleep the day away, his favorite pass time. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood and chatting with the other dogs and ALL the kids!! He loves his little buddies, 3 rats, to play on the bed with him and sniff him. LoL and so fun for me to watch! He also loves his tennis ball, and chew bones, and of course THE TREATS!!! With Covid hitting I have lost ALL my over time at work, which allowed me to have a savings, but I have had to empty that savings account to pay my bills to survive. So now I do not have the extra funds to help my baby to get the surgery he desperately needs right now. Erebus has a condition with the tip of his tail, he wags it so much that he breaks it open. It bleeds constantly and is very painful for him. We have done everything possible to help him, but it has come down to docking his tail. Dr. Kyle Yarde at Animal Care Clinic in Auburn IN is going to take about 6 inches off the end. This will keep him from breaking it open, and allow him to be pain free. Erebus's best friend is our Gemma. We brought Gemma into our family 2 years ago Halloween. Erebus took to her instantly, Especially since we lost Akasha (his very FIRST best friend) I was scared for Erebus when Akasha passed, he wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink or do ANYTHING but lay there. You see Erebus has the habit of letting the Ladies eat first and then he will eat. Such a true gentleman.

Meryl

Meryl is a 7-year-old Siamese in Del Valle, TX, who needs $1,350 for Critical Care / Struvites.

Del Valle, TX

We got Merle several years ago when we rescued him from being out in the cold winter rain. He is a very characteristic cat and we love him so much. Currently we moved from the house that we were at for 14 years, and not being able to let him out where we live now has proven to be difficult because of this situation. Merle is a very vocal cat he lets you know when he's hungry, as you see in the video he was meowing know as I was taking him to the vet hey, this was several months ago when he got first diagnosed with struvites. We have three other cats living in the house and he is the only male and he acts like the king of the house I am a retired caregiver for my elderly mom and our family just had to move in July out of the house that we were in for 14 years but, we are now going to have to move at the end of October and cannot afford to get him the care he needs. Please help! Right now Merle is struggling because he is having difficulty again going to the bathroom because of the struvites that he's trying to pass however oh, we took him to the vet several months ago for the same problem which I'm still paying on we really would hope that we can go to systems to give him the care he needs because we're afraid that he will not make it if we don't As mentioned before Merle's very vocal. He definitely lets me know when he's hungry and it's usually about 6:30 in the morning when he comes around and wakes up if I get up and follows me crying out "mom" literally. When he stopped doing that a couple of days ago I knew something was wrong. We are very worried for him because we cannot afford to give him the care he needs without Waggles help
