Rosebud

Rosebud is a 9-year-old Collie mix in Livonia, NY, who needs $1,980 for urgent leg surgery.

Livonia, NY

Please help us to raise funds for Rosebud's 2nd ACL Surgery. She is very healthy otherwise. Rose, for short, is 9 years old and as of last Summer 2022 she has tore both ACL. The surgery is $4500. We were able to use our credit cards for the first one, but I'm working partime since my double masectomy also in September (what a month!) My son also lives with me, he is a fulltime student. I'm Rose's mom, Lori, I'm age 61 and she is my best friend. Anyone who meets this dog loves her. She is so well mannered and very active. She loves kids! This summer was sad as she would carry around her toys wondering why nobody would play with her. This injury has really impacted her quality of life. Her first ACL surgery has healed 100%! We are very hopeful to have the second surgery. As you see from the pictures, she is very family oriented. She is requested at picnics because she loves to play frisbee and is very active and friendly with all children. A water hose is her best play toy. She can catch frisbees, the higher the better. Which may be why this injury occurred, we will be setting rules around the playing after the surgery. My son and I are financially depleted after her first surgery. I have faith that Rose will get the 2nd surgery with donations from kind friends. This veterinary practice has very knowledgeable people and I trust that the second surgery will go as well as the first. I pray that we get the funds for this next surgery. Since my breast cancer surgery in September, we have been struggling financially. My family and friends have been helping with food, but this surgery will mean that the quality of Roses life will be normal.

Help Oscar With His Emergency Surgeries

Perryville, MO • Bichon Rescue Brigade

Oscar was found as a stray on the streets of Southern California, with no way of telling us what he had been through or how long he had been on his own. Thankfully, this sweet little dog was given a second chance by Bichon Rescue Brigade and placed in a loving foster home. At just 3 years old, Oscar should be enjoying his new life—playing, cuddling, and discovering what it feels like to finally be safe. Instead, he recently found himself fighting through a frightening medical emergency. Oscar Suddenly Couldn’t Urinate Oscar’s foster noticed that he was having difficulty urinating and knew something wasn’t right. He was rushed to the veterinarian, where doctors discovered that his bladder was filled with stones. Oscar needed emergency bladder surgery to remove the stones and relieve his pain. Everyone hoped the surgery would be the beginning of his recovery. Unfortunately, his ordeal wasn’t over. A Complication Led to a Second Emergency Surgery. Overnight, the surgical repair failed, creating another life-threatening situation. Oscar had to undergo a second emergency surgery the very next day. After enduring two surgeries in such a short period of time, Oscar remained hospitalized under close, 24-hour monitoring while his veterinary team watched carefully for additional complications and helped him begin to heal. Through everything—the pain, procedures, hospitalization, and uncertainty—Oscar has remained the same incredibly sweet and happy little dog. He loves everyone he meets and continues to show just how resilient he is. Please Help Oscar Recover Oscar survived life as a stray and finally found people determined to give him the future he deserves. Now, we want to make sure this unexpected medical crisis doesn’t stand in the way of that future. Two emergency surgeries, hospitalization, intensive monitoring, medications, and follow-up veterinary care have resulted in a significant medical bill for his rescue. We’re asking for your help to give Oscar the care he needs to fully recover. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps cover Oscar’s lifesaving veterinary treatment and brings him one step closer to putting this frightening chapter behind him.

Big Boy

This gentle giant did not deserve the abuse he endured. Please show him he is loved!

Murphy, TX • CAMO Rescue

Welcome Big Boy to Camo Rescue! The President of CAMO Rescue said this is the kind of stuff that keeps her awake at night. This dog came close to being euthanized because nobody else stepped up for him. Even though CAMO is beyond capacity, they quickly intervened. She couldn’t stand the thought of him having led such a terrible life only to be euthanized. He was reluctant to get up, hypersalivating, not eating, and showing labored breathing. His chest radiographs were taken and reviewed by the DVM, confirming that he needed to leave immediately. He is now at the ER being treated for a Upper Respiratory Infection with a fever of 105! He arrived covered in up to 10–12 inches of matted hair caked with urine and feces. He required a 150-minute procedure under general anesthesia with three staff members working continuously to shave him down to the skin with surgical-grade blades. He suffered from severe skin breakdown, white discoloration, and scarring around his neck from months to years of continuous tension, ulceration, and exposure to waste. His tail skin was raw, bleeding, and irritated, and both ears were heavily infected. His nails were long, curled, and nearly piercing his paw pads. The DVM noted this was the absolute worst case of hair matting they had ever seen. The staff at the vets office said he is so sweet. CAMO Rescue promises to their best by him, and they urgenly need your help to care for this sweet boy who did not deserve the abuse he endured. He is now safe and receiving the proper medical treatment, but it is coming at a cost. If you are able to give, even a small amount, it would make a huge difference. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Rosie

Rosie Is a 13-Year-Old Chihuahua in Ludington, MI, Who Needs $3,000 for Treatment and Extractions.

ludington, MI

I was driving down a road by my home and thought I saw a cat in the road as I slowed and swerved I realized it was a tiny dog I drove a bit and saw it just in middle of lane looking lost I knew it would get hit soon so I turned around and parked close she ran towards car but so scared and shaking I coaxed her in a a blanket i keep in car and took her home.. she was dirty and hungry As Stated above I just found her in road she is very old her eyes are cloudy white But her TEETH. that seems to be the worst I tried to look and 2 small teeth were dangling and fell out her breath is atrocious im sure there is infection I didnt want to turn her in to shelter as they surely woukd euthanize her. due to age and teeth condition I woukd like to use Fremont animal hospital in Mi since "ROSIE" came in our life we realize she has so much life left in her. we have 3 other elderly dogs we have adopted over the years and Rosie fits right in. she has adjusted and the other dogs have adapted, pmy husband has dementia and Rosie has given him a spark in his life so there must be a reason she crossed my path that day. She is tiny in size But big in heart I am on fixed income, I have 4 other elderly petsI I do the best by them and Rosie deserves the same I just cant afford what dental care would cost. As old as Rosie looks I believe with her dental situation fixed she can live out her life nicely and she deserves it.

Hera

Hera Is a 14-Year-Old Siamese in Hahira, GA, Who Needs $400 for Ear Issue Diagnosis, Ear Flush, Cleaning, and Treatment

Hahira, GA

Hera is my beautiful Siamese mix that happened into my life while I waited my for my puppy at the vet. She and her littermates had been dumped on the doorstep of my vet just that morning. She was just so sweet mewing at me from inside the big crate. She has always been the sweetest, calmest and most chill cat companion I’ve ever had. A couple months ago I noticed that Hera’s right ear was puffed up. At first I thought maybe an insect bite since she spends a lot of time on the screen porch but after further looking it turned out to be a hematoma. She had been scratching at her ear so bad that she removed skin and made herself bleed. She’s been living in the cone while I have tried to figure out how I can get her treatment. Before her hematoma/ear issues she used to always lay on my feet whenever I sat down to watch tv. Always purring, even now when I know she is miserable. She gets along with all her kitty siblings and is now the oldest of the group since the passing of her older sister and brother cats. She is just the sweetest and most calm cat there is and I just want her to feel better. I am a single mother to a special needs child living on a fixed income. I do work part-time when my child is in school but it is never enough to help me get Hera to my vet. It would mean so much to have her happy and healthy again. She’s been more antisocial since this.
