Help Scorpio Anne Enjoy Her Golden Years Pain-Free

Wakefield, MA • Paws 4 A Cure

For 14 years, Scorpio Anne has filled her family's life with unconditional love, comfort, and unwavering loyalty. Affectionately known as "Big Mama," this gentle Pit Bull Terrier has been a devoted protector, loving companion, and the heart of her home ever since her mom welcomed her into the family years ago. Now, when Scorpio Anne needs her most, her mom is doing everything she can to help her through the fight of her life. Earlier this summer, Scorpio Anne's mom noticed blood coming from her paw. A closer examination revealed several masses, and thanks to the support of another nonprofit organization, she was able to have biopsies performed. The results brought both heartbreak and hope. Two of the masses are benign, but one is cancerous. Thankfully, her veterinarian believes Scorpio Anne has an excellent chance for a good recovery—but only if all three masses are removed as soon as possible. Until then, Scorpio Anne continues to live with painful, bleeding growths that require frequent bandage changes just to keep her comfortable. Watching her beloved best friend endure this every day has been incredibly difficult for her mom, who simply wants Scorpio Anne to spend her senior years surrounded by love instead of pain. The surgery to remove the masses is estimated to cost $3,068.99. Thanks to a generous $200 grant from Paws 4 A Cure, part of her care has already been covered, but her family still needs to raise $2,500 to move forward with surgery, medications, and post-operative care. Despite everything she's facing, Scorpio Anne's loving spirit continues to shine. She still has so much love to give, and her family is determined to give her every opportunity to heal and enjoy the happy, comfortable retirement she has earned. Your tax-deductible donation can help make that possible. Every dollar brings Scorpio Anne one step closer to lifesaving surgery and a future free from the pain and constant bleeding she's experiencing today. If you're unable to donate, sharing her fundraiser is another meaningful way to help. Every share expands her reach and brings hope that compassionate supporters will help her receive the care she urgently needs. Together, we can help Big Mama leave pain behind and enjoy many more cherished moments with the family who loves her beyond measure. Thank you for being part of Scorpio Anne's journey.

koda

koda is a 6 month old Mix-Breed in Sherman Oaks, CA, who needs $300 for Skin Creeping Test, Medicated Shampoo, and Ivermectin.

Sherman Oaks, CA

Koda came into my life right when I needed him most. My wife had just left me. She took my other dog and walked out. There was no warning. I was alone. I needed a dog. I need some companionship. The first link I clicked on. What's his? He was the runt. I came to take a look at him. As soon as he got in my arms, He fell asleep. I knew he was mine. I'm on disability and on very low income and my benefits actually stopped. I'm waiting for SSI to respond. With my wife leaving, she was helping me pay the rent. I don't know if I'll be able to afford it. I'm trying to get code of all the care he needs and I have been able to manage figuring it out. But now he has something. Thats making his hair fall out he keeps itching. I need help. He has saved my life. With everything that happened, if he wasn't in my life, I don't know where I'd be. He has distracted me in a great way. It has become my little partner, my little buddy, my little friend. And with all the drama, all the stuff, all the and hurt that I'm going through in my life. I give me being right here asking for help today and just being here all to him. Going through a divorce unexpectedly. I am on disability, on a fixed income. My benefits just ended, so I'm getting zero at the moment. I'm waiting for SSI to respond. And the person who helped me, my wife is gone completely.

Artemis

Artemis is a 3 year old Russian Blue in east ridge, TN, who needs $1,290 for Dental Exam and Tooth Extractions.

east ridge, TN

I am a pre-med student studying biology! I adopted Artemis as an emotional support animal to take with me to college and she has done an amazing job. She is sweet, cuddly, and very much a diva. She is a very curious girl, and extremely stubborn about what she wants. I love her to death, but as a college student, I don't have the money to support high cost vet bills. Artemis currently has gingivitis, which has been very slowly progressing into stomatitis. Despite giving her dental treats and brushing her teeth each night, she still has gum inflammation. The vet said it could progress into tooth resorption very easily if I am not careful. I want to take preventative measures to get her teeth checked and keep her healthy, pain free, and long-lived Artemis is extremely curious and HATES closed doors. Obviously, she knows she owns the house, so she wants to be able to see everything. She has managed to open closets, cabinets, and drawers all by herself, simply through sheer force of will. She has a reputation of being a toe biter; she loves to bite, chase, and wrestle people's feet. She also loves to cuddle in my arms at night. My father has been in and out of the emergency room the past month and his surgery is the day I write this (6/30/26). The hospital and emergency room visits have put a heavy financial strain on the family, especially since my mom is currently only able to work part time

Hubble

Hubble is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Ithaca, NY, who needs $3,000 for Heartworm Treatment.

Ithaca, NY

I chose to have Hubble travel from a high kill shelter in TX, two years ago to come to me in Upstate NY. Best two yrs of my life. Together 24/7 (exception of appointments and groceries);exploring nature, he is my world. He is my emotional support animal, but Im really his. He can’t stand to be separated from me,even if it’s with my partner of 13 yrs. Hubble saved my life. Please help me save his. I didn’t realize Hubble was not tested for heartworms. This is my first puppy. I had an antiquated vet (since changed) who didn’t have Hubble tested at appropriate age. My new vet suspects he’s had these since adoption. The antiquated vet refused to follow American Heart Worm Society gold standard for treatment. I had to find a vet that would follow protocol to ensure best outcome. $3000 estimate. I call Hubble my Tender-Heart. He’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. He was so easy to train, eager to please, just bursting with joy, life and love. His favorite game was ball until he has become too tired to play as the Heartworm progresses. It’s hard to see my boy, so full of life just a few months ago, go to napping all day and clearly uncomfortable. Hubble taught me how to be a better person. I’ve been on SSI since 2021. Since adopting Hubble, I ensure he has the best possible food, play, interaction, and vet care. I did not know I was not receiving the proper tests and preventative from my prior vet. My heart is breaking. I don’t know how to live without Hubble

Fiona

Help Save Fiona After Devastating Seizures

Millis, MA • The LuvPug Foundation

Fiona has already overcome more than any dog ever should. She was found homeless in a desolate area of St. Lucia, suffering from seizures with no access to the medical care she desperately needed. While trying to survive on the streets, children threw rocks at her, leaving a painful gash on her head. A kind woman took Fiona in to keep her safe, but during one of her seizures, the other dogs in the home attacked her. Knowing she could no longer protect Fiona, and that releasing her back onto the streets would almost certainly mean a slow, painful death, she reached out for help. That help came from The LuvPug Foundation, who gave Fiona the chance to travel to the United States for lifesaving care. Just two days after arriving, Fiona suffered devastating cluster seizures lasting more than two and a half hours. She was rushed to an emergency veterinary hospital, where she continued having seizures before being transferred to a neurologist. The swelling caused Fiona to lose her vision, but doctors are hopeful that with the right medications, her seizures can be controlled and her sight may return. Fiona has since been diagnosed with toxoplasmosis, an infection commonly contracted from raw meat or exposure to cat feces. For a puppy simply trying to survive on the streets, this diagnosis is sadly not surprising. Hungry puppies have been known to eat almost anything, even rocks, just to quiet the pain of an empty stomach. She is now receiving medication, is being closely monitored, and finally has a real chance to recover. She isn't out of the woods yet, but for the first time in her young life, Fiona has hope. Despite everything she has endured, she hasn't lost her sweet spirit. The veterinary staff caring for her have fallen in love with her, describing her as happy, affectionate, and always excited for food and treats. The emergency care, hospitalization, neurological consultations, medications, and ongoing treatment have created enormous medical bills that The LuvPug Foundation wasn't prepared for so soon after Fiona's arrival. Now they need our help. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help cover Fiona's medical care and give this brave little girl the chance to live the happy, healthy life she deserves. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing her story. Together, we can give Fiona the future she's fought so hard for. 7/12/26 Update We wanted to share a hopeful update on this sweet girl. Last week, she had her first non-emergency vet appointment, an important milestone after everything she's been through. She also had a stretch of over 2 weeks without experiencing a seizure, which was an encouraging step forward in her recovery. During her visit, her vet discovered that she tested positive for a tick borne disease. While this is unfortunately not uncommon in rescue dogs, it's one more medical challenge that needs to be addressed. She's already being treated for toxoplasmosis, which can contribute to seizures and potentially worsen the seizure activity she already experiences. For now, her veterinary team is taking things one step at a time to make sure she receives the best possible care while carefully managing these complex medical issues. Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared her story, and kept her in your thoughts. Your support is helping ensure she gets the ongoing treatment and monitoring she needs as she continues her journey toward recovery
