Wallace appeared in our yard in 2011. We could never get close to him only about 15 ft he appeared to be fearl. My contacted the feral cat collation and trapped him in a live trap they examined him and told us to return him and release him in the same area but he stayed after making a connection with our other cat who didn't have much time left In about June of 2024 Wallace was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease inflammatory bowel disease and chronic pancreatitis. Last month May 2026 he had a dental cleaning done he may have to have the two bottom canines called but it has to be done by a specialist dentist otherwise it can break his jaw so we have to take him to a specialist Wallace is between 18 and 19 years old that is what the feral cat collation told us. Despite his serious chronic health issues he is very active he loves to explore and he greets us his characteristics are more like a dog he's very affectionate. Many years ago he had a skunk for a friend after our other cat died he is so full of life despite his health issues My husband is on social security and I work full time I make a little bit over minimum wage we live in a mobile home park and our income is just low. We have no other sources of income or credit cards are maxed out in our attempt to take care of Wallace the best we can.

A 10yr warrior, Jada survived Parvo days after adoption (replacing a beloved dog). She's a Mesa indoor dog, full of love and energy. She demands belly rubs from every visitor! She’s now facing a scary bleeding mass. We urgently need help for her vet care. A small, previously bump near her anus has recently grown rapidly and is now actively bleeding. This is a terrifying development, and we are urgently trying to get her into a diagnostic clinic to stop the bleeding and determine the cause. We have not yet secured a diagnosis, so we are currently reaching out to local emergency veterinary centers and low-cost organizations in the area. Jada is special—she brought joy after a tragic loss and beat Parvo as a pup. At 10, she is still full of loving energy. Her favorite behavior is greeting family and visitors by flipping onto her back for a quick belly rub. She is a deeply loyal family member who loves everyone. Vet bills are out of reach right now, and we urgently need funds for Jada's diagnostics. She is family and healed our hearts once before. Having her healthy would mean everything—bringing peace to our home and giving our sweet girl the happy senior years she deserves.

Hello! This is our little daughter Lola, who has been with us since February. She shares the house with her brothers Jasper and Blaze (our 2+3 year old cats). Lola loves playing with her brothers and being outdoors. To put it simple, Lola loves everyone! People, other dogs, cats, you name it. She never barks nor growls at anybody and wants to be around everyone she meets! Like I said, Lola loves her brothers, she follows them everywhere! Even to places where they shouldn't be (like on top of our dining room table). On 06/11, we were in the other room talking when we heard a crash followed by Lola's cries. Lola was on the ground with her paw broken and bent in several directions. We immediately transported her to Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center. Lola has always been so kind to everyone, never acting in any hostility towards others! She loves her brothers, and she loves being with people at social gatherings, always wanting to make new friends both big and small. Many of our friends and family have had the pleasure of witnessing the legendary "zoomies" where she will express her energy by racing around the yard. Since Lola's wrist was found to be completely broken at the bone after her tragic fall, they told us the only affordable option would be amputation! I could never take away her ability to run like she loves to do, so we paid into the surgery to save her leg. We need help!

Koby

I rehomed Koby as I searched for emotion support. I got him when he was 8 weeks old and since then he’s been my BFF. He gets a little wild when he plays so I started calling him Wildboy KJ. His favorite toy is rubber ducks. He kicks it under the couch then barks at me to get out for him and he does it about 20 times a day lol. Koby had cherry eye. I trusted the new vet to performed surgery. The surgery failed and since his eye has been worsen. After discussions the ophthalmologist, I found that the vet performed the procedure in error. His eye has a cyst and fluid filled covering his eye. It prevents him to see, causes pain, & recurring infections. The ophthalmologist says a revision is needed to correct the problem. Koby has been a family member for 5 years now. We don’t see a dog, he is one of the boys. He likes for them to tickle him, it’s the cutest ever. He is definitely my shadow. I started having recurrent strokes and lost my job. I became disabled, on a fixed income, and can’t afford extra expenses. I consider surrendering him but I need my boy more now than before. I cry every time I think about it, it’s just not fair.

Lucy Shouldn't Have Survived, Now We Have to Help Her Continue to Fight

Our sweet Lucy suffered a devastating crush injury in a tragic accident at our partner shelter in Bitola, Macedonia. The impact left her with severe internal bleeding and a shattered pelvis. For an entire week, she fought for her life in intensive care while veterinarians worked tirelessly to stop the bleeding and keep her alive. Against all odds, Lucy survived. But saving her life was only the first step. The specialized surgery she desperately needed was not available locally, leaving us with only one option: transfer her to Sofia, Bulgaria, for treatment. Thanks to a member of our Stray Dog Support community, we were able to pay the deposit on her surgery. Lucy was one step closer to getting a chance. Without their generosity, we would have faced the heartbreaking reality of euthanasia to prevent her from suffering. Thankfully, we are able to fight for Lucy. The team drove through the night on the five-hour journey from Bitola to Sofia because this was her only chance. Lucy underwent surgery to repair her shattered pelvis. Due to the complexity of her injuries and concerns about how much anesthesia her fragile body could tolerate, surgeons were only able to repair one side. She will need a second surgery in approximately one month. Despite everything she has endured, Lucy continues to amaze us. She is currently recovering in ICU, where she is being closely monitored. The wonderful news is that she is in good spirits and even eating well—a small but powerful sign of the fighter she truly is. We are so grateful to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported Lucy's journey so far. Because of you, she got this chance. However, we are still short of our fundraising goal. We urgently need help covering the costs of Lucy's surgeries, hospitalization, and the emergency transport that got her safely to Sofia. Every donation, no matter the amount, directly helps Lucy continue her recovery. Every share helps her story reach someone who may be able to help. Lucy has come too far to give up now. Penny’s life is a bit unknown. We took her in to foster her after seeing her on the NextDoor app. A lady who was a recent mother had taken her in from someone who was using her to breed her. She only had Penny for about three months, when she explained that she could not keep especially since she was not potty trained. Right now, my mother is taking care of her with another dog and cats. As far I can tell Penny has never been vaccinated, she has no rabies vaccine, not spayed and no microchip. I would prefer to take her to Williamsburg Animal Clinic as I take my pets regularly there, but we have no preference. We want to make sure she gets what she needs before finding her a good home. Penny is the sweetest, most gentlest dog I have ever met. Dogs have barked, lunged, jumped on top on her yet she does not snap back and does not bark back. She nibbles at you when she is super excited and wants your attention. She wiggles her whole body out of excitement. And she snores and it is the cutest thing. My family and I have our own pets that we are able to maintain, but to have her spayed and given all the vaccines she needs plus possible bloodwork is more than I can financially do.

Nino is a 4 month old French bulldog that was given to me and my 3 sons after ours was stolen out of backyard. He instantly became part of our family. Frenchies are know for being very rambunctious and curious and his curiosity got the best of him after jumping off our porch and breaking his leg. After being seen and X-rayed by a vet, they suggest surgery and gave us a 3,000$ estimate. Nino instantly became a fourth son to me. He is usually very active and due to the break he is barely able to even move, walk run or do much of anything. I was denied for care credit and the hospital requires full payment up front. I have about 600$ but desperately need help raising the rest of the money.

Sami lives with her 3 non fur sisters, mom and dad. Sami was the only one in her litter and we thankfully were able to adopt her! She was under 3 months old when she became our girl! She's a Maltese/ Yorkie. Sami came at a time of particular heartbreak for me, after suffering a miscarriage, I didn't realize how much I would come to love and need her. She is so loved and fills a special place. Sami has a cancerous tumor in her mouth. We have caught it early but the surgery to remove the cancer and vaccine to prevent further disease spreading is far too expensive for us. Sami doesn't know she is a doggy! She is a sister, the snuggler and cheese taster. She is emotionally aware of any heartache in our house and tends to her family with love and attention when we are in need. She uses her little paws like hands and will force herself into your arms- favorite place is on a blanket on my legs or curled up with her dad or sisters. She's the best nurse too for all! We didn't realize what a huge financial crisis it would be to have a dog I'll with cancer. None of the life saving treatments are inexpensive. I am personally seeking a job. Money is tight and we have not prepared for this type of situation.

I found her on June 1st in an empty field behind a gas station in a very low poverty area of North Birmingham Alabama on my commute home. She is currently residing with me and my 7 other pets. She is needing a back leg amputation due to a fractured femor that healed incorrectly which causes her to be in permanent limp mode. Dr Beers with Oak view animal Hospital has graciously given me a professional discount so the total is $500 It actually took me getting a wire kennel and turning it into a trap using a few leads and some canned food to lure her in because she was so scared of people.Seconds after she was caught she turned into a loving little pup that I think was just terrified and exhausted from living on the streets and fending for her self while being injured. She has the sweetest temper and loves everyone she meets! I have several pets of my own that have all been strays that I have found over the years and one that is 17 years old that recently needed dental work and a cancerous tumor which has depleted my extra funding for veterinary care.
