Ellie is a 6 month old puppy who loves to play outside and relax in the sunshine. She is a mix breed and each day her personality takes on a new skill. We love watching her grow! Ellie ate something she shouldn't have and it created a blockage in her stomach. She needed emergency surgery to remove the item. She stayed overnight for observation and was able to come home the next day. Ellie is special to our family. She enjoys going on hikes and cuddling up to watch a movie. She spent many of her first few weeks with us at the baseball field, cheering on her human brothers! When we adopted Ellie we knew it was a big responsibility for our family, but we were not ready, financially or emotionally, for such a heavy situation. While at the vet with Ellie, I couldn’t bare the thought of telling my boys that we didn’t have the money to save her.

Meet Lilly. This sweet girl was found in Jamaica by a compassionate Good Samaritan who couldn't ignore an unthinkable sight. Lilly was lying outside, severely injured, with part of her leg completely torn off and lying beside her. It's hard to imagine the pain and fear she must have endured. Thanks to the person who stopped to help, Lilly is now at an emergency veterinary hospital receiving the care she desperately needs. Her injuries are so severe that amputation is her only option. While we are grateful she is finally safe and out of harm's way, the cost of emergency treatment and surgery is significant. Despite everything she has been through, Lilly is still here. Still fighting. Still deserving of a chance to heal and experience the love and comfort every dog should know. We are asking for donations to help cover Lilly's emergency veterinary care and amputation surgery. Every dollar will go directly toward giving her the medical treatment she needs and the opportunity to begin a new life free from pain. We adopted our dog Olive during the pandemic. She has been the light on our family even on the darkest days. We live in midcoast Maine where she has been included in as many family activities as possible. She is the sweetest dog that bring loves and joy to anyone she meets. We have spent over $13,000 already in our own funds but we are running out of resources to help her. Olive has been a healthy dog with no medical issues until last Sunday when she became suddenly ill out of the blue. She has a kidney and liver infection that caused her to be hospitalized for the last week, and is now fighting for her life. She has a kidney stone and and an inflamed gallbladder that is painful. She is responding to medications but we are running out of money. Olive is an unofficial therapy dog for our family. She brings join and peace when you need it most. Her favorite thing to do is to sit next to (leaning on you) or jump in your lap to let you that she is there and help you forget about what may be bothering you. She is very special to us, more than just a dog, she is family. We have spent over $13,000 to save her interest week, an expense we were not expecting, we have pet insurance but it will only CJ er $5000, and it will not cover her expenses that occurred before 9/20/25. My name is Coco Playful Paws. I’m 8 years old and love to go on long walks and golf cart rides with my owner. I was recused from my owners as a puppy. We live in FL and like to look at the birds around the ponds together. I live with my owners and my aunt. I like to play ball with them and keep the laughing. We like to go outside and visit with the neighbors and other dogs in the neighborhood. We do lots of visiting with our neighbors of a retirement community. I like to get all the smiles, pets and treats from my neighbors. They all still big for,e and I smile and wiggle back for them. Love my home and neighbors. I have beautiful ears but they have developed a horrible infection on my left ears. After months of trying to get the infection cleared my vet has said I must have a total ear surgery to get the infection out and close off the ear so it will not come back. Unfortunately it is an expensive surgery of $4000.00. We live on a fixed income and don’t have the funds in saving. We both still work part and full time in our late 60’s to provide for food and housing. We love our sweet dog and do not want to put to sleep but do not want him to live with the pain.

Kane was brought into our lives as a puppy and has been a momma's boy since day one. He has been through so much already; from skin conditions at an early age, to finding out he has soft tissue spindle cell sarcoma. He also suffers from a rare bone disease called CMO. Cranial Mandibular Osteopathy. I recently fell into a financial hardship right as we were about to start his treatment. Kane is the most fun loving, cuddly buddy ever. He HAS to sleep on a pillow while being covered with a blanket. He tends to hog the bed, but will put his paw on your back so you know he is there. He protects my son and is always around him when he is sick. He tends to let others know when he wants attention by jumping into their laps. Kane is beyond special to us. Not only has he endured so much pain already, but he is still a trooper and is putting forth his best effort when he isn't feeling well. His zoomies crack me up because he looks like a giant rabbit running. When you try to approach him whilst he is in zoomie mode, he will let you get about 6 inches from him before he takes off again. Kane's vet has been with us from the beginning of his journey and are doing everything they can to ensure we can afford his treatment. Kane currently has anxiety, as well as CMO. He was diagnosed with Cancer within the past few months. He's already had two surgeries to remove the growths but they keep coming back more aggressive each time. Chemo is next. Recently my husband, who was the money maker of the family, lost his job. He is facing some legal issues and won't be able to provide for his family anymore. Kane is my first Pitbull breed I've ever owned. He has made me rethink the stereotypes they have been given.

Miss Cookie was rescued from a shelter with her 2 siblings at a young 6 weeks of age... She is super sweet and loving.. she was adopted as an 8 week old puppy..but returned shortly after her adopters learning that she had a heart issue... Miss Cookie gets along well in her foster home... she enjoys coming to adoption events as well.. She has a guardian at home... a shy Pyrenees took right to her.. she must have sensed that Cookie had a medical issue... Miss Cookie doesn't let her bad heart get her down... she plays with all the other dogs in her foster home... she is learning basic obedience and living her best life Miss Cookie has a heart mumur of a 4/5 out of 6 We have monitored it since 8 weeks of age and it has not gotten any better... She is in need of xrays and bloodwork.. then an Echocardigram to find out the underlying cause of the heart mumur... once a cardiologist determines the cause she will likely need surgery... She is being seen by Dr Taylor at 3 Oaks Wellness Center in Brooksville Fla Miss Ccokie deserves the best and as a rescue we strive to help every animal in our care. This can be very hard when we have so many animals needing our help. Unfortunately we have been unsuccessful in fundraising for her by ourselves.

Jangers is an 8-year-old beagle who has been the heart and soul of our family since we adopted him on August 21, 2018, just one day after his first birthday. I have worked for HSSJC since 2006, and all of our pets have come from the shelter. When my fiancé (now husband), Greg, mentioned wanting a beagle, I knew it wouldn’t be long before we found the perfect match, & Jangers was exactly that. Jangers was diagnosed in March 2026 with Oral Malignant Melanoma at Magrane Pet Medical Center. We were then referred to Dr. Christine Swanson, a veterinary oncologist, at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Jangers is currently undergoing immunotherapy vaccines but it is recommended he has an additional surgery and radiation therapy. Jangers is a gentle, affectionate dog who loves everyone he meets—children, seniors, other animals, and strangers alike. When he once slipped out, he calmly joined neighborhood kids for attention. He also serves as a community ambassador, visiting nursing homes, daycares, and outreach events, spreading comfort, joy, and compassion wherever he goes. Recent personal medical expenses plus ~$3,000 on CareCredit for Jangers’ care have created significant financial strain, making additional treatment costs difficult to manage. We are seeking help to provide Jangers care.

When I was pregnant with my 1st child I bought an American Bulldog for the first time for her to grow up with a best friend. His name was Koda and he was the best dog I ever had. Sadly he passed 10 years later and I was determined to get another to fill his paw prints. The weekend before Christmas 2025 I found Kenai who looks very similar and it was love at first sight. I cried I was so happy. The week we brought Kenai home he cried and whined more than I had heard a puppy do before. We thought missing his litter or growing pains. He got worse to where he was limping and swaying in back end, got xrays at allen veto find infection in spine, kept crying in pain took to Kstate with hip dysplasia, congenital abnormality and to bring back again to see if it gets worse. Its gotten way worse. Kenai is very special. He is the sweetest boy. I need him in our family longer than 3 months especially my youngest that is 2 is very attached to him. He gives him kisses all the time and calls him Bluey. Our other dog Duke has taken to him so well and loves him too. I can't imagine coming home and not seeing his happy face and wagging tail. He gives the best cuddles. Times are hard for everyone right now and it would mean the world to me to be able to save my baby. My kids are my top priority but I love my animals just like my kids. He didnt deserve to be born with this. I cant imagine telling my kids a different outcome:(

Hope Brave: She’s Safe. Now Let’s Make Her Comfortable

Last night, a local neighbor received calls and texts about a dog someone thought might be her missing foster, Lottie. She dropped everything, grabbed her microchip scanner, and headed to the address. When she walked in and saw her, she immediately knew it wasn’t Lottie. But her heart still sank. That senior girl was lying in a crate. She was shaking, exhausted, and in horrific condition. Two kind gentlemen found her wandering in the middle of the street in Wylie and picked her up so she wouldn’t get hit by a car. Thank God they did because this little senior has been through more than any dog should. Her skin is raw and scabby. Her ears are infected and painfully itchy. Her tiny body is covered in tumors under her belly likely from never being spayed. Tumors don’t happen overnight. No matter how this story unfolds, whether an owner comes forward or not, this dog has been neglected for a long time. And right now, the only thing that matters is what she needs. She’s safe with CAMO Rescue and receiving veterinary care to keep her comfortable. But she is going to need diagnostics, treatment, medications, and likely surgery. The men who saved her named her Hope Brave, and honestly, it fits. We believe she may be a Maltese. A little senior girl who deserved soft beds and regular grooming… not this cruel reality. And I also understand something else: sometimes owners are seniors too. Sometimes they can’t afford vet care. Sometimes situations spiral. But Hope Brave is the priority now. We can’t undo what she’s endured. We can make sure her future looks different. If you’d like to be part of her second chance, I’m raising funds to cover her medical care and give this sweet girl comfort, relief, and dignity. Let’s show her that the world can be kind. 3/19/26 Update CAMO did not get the news they wanted to hear; her cancerous tumors have spread. Despite the challenging news, they are committed to giving Hope Brave the best life possible for the time she has left. Our hearts are broken into pieces. We wish she had escaped from her owner sooner. Hope Brave has been given a couple of months to live. This highlights the importance of spaying and neutering animals to prevent similar situations like Hope Brave. CAMO is in desperate need of help with Hope Braves bills. Anything is greatly appreciated as the bills are piling up. Thank you! 3/31/26 Update: Hope Brave is getting the care she needs Hope Brave is struggling with her skin. We are still trying to fight her tumors to shrink them. She is still on supplements. Her skin is so itchy, and she is getting special bathes to relieve her discomfort. She has a good appetite and is getting some homemade food.
