Gina

Gina is a 6 year old American Akita in Woburn, MA, who needs $2,000 for Eye Removal Due to Glaucoma.

Woburn, MA

My name is Olha, and my dog Gina is my closest and most beloved family member. We moved from Ukraine to the U.S. in September. Gina was born with small eyes and cataracts, but on March 1st, her condition worsened. Her eye turned red, and she couldn’t find comfort. We visited urgent care and eye specialists, but the only solution is eye removal. This has been heartbreaking for both of us. Finally, on a friend’s recommendation, we visited Angell Veterinary Hospital Boston where an ophthalmologist was able to diagnose the issue. Gina is suspected to have glaucoma in her left eye with a pressure of 66 and inflammation, while her other eye is fine. We’ve started medical treatment, but unfortunately, it hasn’t shown positive results yet. Gina has lived with poor vision her entire life, but she’s always been a true hero. She loves walking off-leash, feeling the freedom with every step. Gina adores other animals, especially cats, and is incredibly kind. For me, she’s a healer. In every stressful moment, she’s there, filling my life with light and joy. Her love and loyalty make every day special. As refugees from Ukraine, we don’t have enough funds for the $3,000 eye removal surgery Gina urgently needs to relieve her pain. I’ve already spent over $2,500 on tests and exams, but I can’t afford any more. We’re desperate for help to give her the care she deserves.

Nico

Nico is a 3 year old Shih Tzu in Spring valley , NY, who needs $2,000 for Pelvic and Hip Surgery.

Spring valley, NY

Nico was only three months old when we brought him home. I got him from a family member. And I don’t have the words how much the family love him. Nico’s presence filled the house with warmth and laughter. He quickly became “the baby” of the house, the one everyone doted on, the one who brought us together. His bright eyes and joyful bark turned our home into a happier place. Last Friday, Nico ran out of the house and was hit by a speeding car. We rushed him to an emergency hospital, where they confirmed he need a surgery in his right pelvis. That night, we took him to Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care. Surgeons planned to place an implant, but his pelvis was too swollen, and they saw injury in his right hip. Nico will need surgery once the swelling goes down. Nico is special because of his sweet, loving nature. Nico knows every person from home and knows how to got to get into each one of us. He’s so smart. He greets us with endless excitement, follows us everywhere, and loves curling up beside us. His playful personality brightens our home, and he always knows how to cheer us up. Nico isn’t just a pet, he’s family, our joy, and our comfort. Our family is struggling with Nico’s medical bills. I’m working and studying. My mom doesn’t work every day, so we’ve applied for credit cards to cover costs. Nico will need surgery soon, and we need help with his current and future debt. Any support means everything

Onyx

Onyx is a 2 year old Mix-Breed in Plympton, MA, who needs $2,000 for TTA Surgery.

Plympton, MA

We got Onyx as a rescue when he was just 3 months old. We also have another dog named Ruby that we adopted from the same shelter. Since we already had Ruby, we decided to name him after another gemstone and felt Onyx was fitting since he's mostly black. From his first day home we knew he was going to be super friendly. He believes everyone is his friend, or at least wants to be.:) Onyx was healthy until he started limping last November. Initially he was treated with sedatives, anti-inflammatory meds, and bed rest. After that he had X-rays in January. A referral to Cape Cod Vet Specialists revealed a fully torn ACL requiring TTA surgery with metal plates attached to his knee. The Dr. said damage began before symptoms, so insurance now considers it a pre-existing condition. Onyx is a loving, high-energy pup who loves to run and play. He’s cuddly and hates being alone, always wanting to sleep with someone, especially my 10-year-old step-daughter. He’s full of energy and is the silliest dog, playing with cats, our other dog, neighbors' dogs—anyone who’ll give him 5 seconds of attention! He is also very dopey, often caught liking windows for no apparent reason. I’m the sole income as my partner is out of work due to a broken shoulder. Onyx’s symptoms started after he was insured, but the vet found his ACL tear began earlier, so insurance won’t cover it. The surgery costs up to $6,900. We just want Onyx to be healthy and happy again

Romeo

Romeo is a 12 year old Shih Tzu in Throop, PA, who needs $700 for Amputation of Tail.

Throop, PA

Romeo was my best friend ( who had passed away) dog, born to 2 of her other dogs and was bon on Valentines Day. Romeo got his name from both the special Birthday as well as his love to give lots of kisses! I came into Romeo's life to rehome him and his sister 3 years ago, when my best friend passed away. He is very special and dear to my heart. About 2 years ago Romeo started biting at his tail and it would seem to itch and irritate him, we had him to several vets over the course of the past 2 years, however we were unable to find a cause or absolute solution. His condition grew worse and worse and is now at the point where he is in much pain and distress. The injury is much worse, more swollen, blistered and bleeding. Romeo was born on Vaentines Day, and he is a mixed breed of Shitz Tzu, German Shepherd, and Rottweiler. His daddy was pure shit tzu and his mommy was German Shepherd Mix lol. He came out looking just like a beagle, which are one of my top favorite dogs! What a coincidence! He loves to give kisses and will lick for hours, so we figured Romeo was the perfect name and fit for him! I am currently on social security disability and receive a very small monthly income of less than 1,000. My fiance resides with me and he too is out of work and only on a small income as well. We have limited amount of money and resources left and want to help Romeo urgently
