Buster

Buster is a 4 Year Old Mix-Breed in Cold Spring, MN, Who Needs $1,500 for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Cold Spring, MN

He’s the man of the house with a baby sister Mirri always grooming him and loving him and a big sister Ellie who’s big sloppy dog licks still show love. He was a rescue cat and our sweet boy Warren had just passed. So my daughter and I went to the humane society and that day we adopted both Buster and Ellie. They brought our family together and really completed us. Now he’s stopped eating About a year ago he was peeing outside the litter box, after eliminating it being a behavior we brought him to the vet. Found out our boy had Diabetes. Had no idea it was possible, well the peeing started again. So I brought him in a month ago, had him checked out. $200 later that I couldn’t really spare, tests all come back good, glucose looks good, not worried about UTI, nothing concerning. Buster gets us through our ups and downs. He’s been there for my difficult teen when she was here and I probably owe him her life. Now he’s not eating much at all just nibbling. The vet put him on gabapentin, and ever since he started that he slowly lost his spark. Stopped that over a week ago. Symptoms are still the same and he won’t really move from one spot. I’m a single mother, I work in early childhood education. That’s a field where we put out so much more than comes in but I’d never change it. I provide most of my own supplies for my classroom, they are my kids too. I’m just trying.

Photo of Delta Dawn

Delta Dawn

Delta Dawn is a 10 Year Old German Shepherd Dog in Cary, NC, Who Needs $2,000 for 2x Growth Removal (small and large), Mass Biopsy.

Cary, NC

Delta was rescued from a neglectful home in April and has spent the last eight months wagging her way into our hearts. She adores her two guinea pig siblings, and even carries around her own guinea pig stuffy like it's her baby. She used to get the zoomies when I played "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, hence her name. She finally feels safe and loved, but now needs surgery that I cannot afford alone. Delta has been recently diagnosed with Hind Limb Edema and Pain with Bilateral Popliteal Lymphadenopathy, Chronic Allergic Dermatitis and Otitis Externa, Cutaneous Mass, and Hyporexia. She is currently taking Apoquel and Rimadyl on a daily basis to manage pain and swelling. Inflammation and pain are increasing still. She is a patient at GoodVets Apex (Raleigh). Delta loves her guinea pig brothers more than anything, and spends lots of time cuddling them and supervising their cages. She plays tug-of-war, but only so you can chase her around the house! She guards my bedroom every night, follows me to every room, and gives kisses whenever asked. She lives for car rides in the Subaru, a bag of Beggin' Strips, and any outdoor adventure with mom. I work two jobs to try and live comfortably already with my college debt. Delta's surgery would give her 4-5 more comfortable, pain-free years where she can walk well again.
