We rescued Maisy and her sister Millie a year ago. We originally went to the shelter for Millie and we're told that there was another rescue from the same puppy mill. We took one look at those big brown eyes and said we will take both. The sweet dogs have changed our life and we are so grateful for both of them. Maisy became ill suddenly. Normally she is a very peepy puppy. She wakes up full of energy and life. This particular morning she was lethargic. We took her immediately to the vet who then sent us to an animal hospital after taking a blood test. Maisy has a rare autimmune disease where her body is destroying her blood cells. She has had one blood transfusion and needs another one. Maisy is the sweetest cockapoo. She is full of life and had brought so much joy to our family. In the past 2 yrs, I've lost my mom, my 16 yr old bichon mix dog, and my brother in law. Maisy and a Millie has helped us thru the dark days and given us lots of smiles and laughs. We are retired and on a fixed income. We have 2 children getting married in 2025. Currently our dog hospital bills are over $5k dollars and our Maisy needs another blood transfusion which cost over$2k. We are so close to getting her over the hump but are out of money.

I rescued Carter when he was six years old from a no kill shelter in Shelbyville, Kentucky. I am actually his third home his first home. They were older couple and could not handle his hyper. His second home. They were very abusive to him. He had trauma to the head and his eye when I picked him up from the shelter he has been in our family for, almost 10 years. He’s my baby. Carter is allergic to everything it seems LOL. He definitely has a food allergy. He takes a prescription allergy pill once a day. He’s been on that for seven years. A year and a half after I rescued him he blew his ACL on his left knee. We got that replaced then he blew the ACL on his right knee. Carter loves all animals. He does get stingy if other dogs play with his toys. He expects a toy every time I come home he puts his whole head in my purse and digs around until he finds his treat or his new toy. He has four totes full dog toys. He’s a very friendly he loves everybody. He just wants to be loved in return They cut my hours way back and my job in the mist of that my car gave out on me and we now have to move. We have two weeks. I don’t have the funds to get him seen at his vet and I’m scared the tumor is going to spread and it will be too late, to save him From the cancer

My sweet girl Dexter is a rescue, and I've had her since she was just a few weeks old. She recently turned 6 years old. Her name comes from a favorite TV show of the family, but she’s earned so many nicknames, the most common being “Mama” and “Girlfriend.” Though she’s the oldest of the three, with two brothers, she has more energy and love than any dog I’ve ever known. We are seeking donations and financial assistance to help cover the cost of surgery for Dexter at Affordable Pet Hospital for her severely torn ACL in her right leg. This injury has caused her to limp, drag, hop, and be in constant discomfort. I’ve reached out to rescues and organizations, but unfortunately, no success in securing the help we need. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Dexter’s favorite toys are plush animals filled with stuffing. Her top activity is playing frisbee—she is a natural at it! She loves the outdoors, whether it’s walking, running, or playing, and she’s especially fond of splashing around in the hose water, though she absolutely hates shower time. It’s nearly impossible to get her to slow down; she’s always so happy and energetic. Our finances are stretched thin, especially with caring for two other fur babies and managing bills. We’ve been setting aside whatever we can for Dexter’s surgery, but unfortunately, it’s not enough. This has been prolonging her pain and sadness, which breaks our hearts.

Kona is a 4-year-old golden retriever who has been a cherished part of our family since March 2020. From the moment we brought her home, she’s been a constant source of joy with her playful energy and loving personality. She’s grown into a happy, friendly dog who loves spending time with us and making new friends—both human and furry. My 4 year old golden retriever has a bone spur in her front elbow joint that is causing arthritis and inflammation throughout her joints. She has had an issue limping/being in pain for almost a year now. We spent our entire savings just to afford her CT scan which was almost $3,000. Now, the less invasive surgery option (the cheaper option) is still over $4,000. If we have to try to save this up, Kona has a fun, quirky personality that makes her stand out. She has a habit of carrying her favorite toy around the house like a prized possession and will often “talk” to us with little grumbles and barks when she wants attention or playtime. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious, and she brings so much joy and laughter to our family. Our family is facing a significant financial challenge as we prepare for our first daughter who arrives in February 2025. On top of the usual expenses of preparing for a baby, we recently spent $2,700 on a CT scan for Kona to diagnose her elbow which wiped our savings.

I found Penelope in an apartment complex. She was so little. I remember she didn't want to leave and I told her she had a choice if she went with me I'd always have her back, and I sat her down and took off walking and she followed me. We been together since she was about 9 weeks old. She is now 21 weeks old. I call her kicks and Penelope. She was ran over 2days ago she is needing hip surgery and funding fir medication I'm not sure what hospital to even take her to however I took her to urgentvetin tulsa and they referred her to have surgery. She is so very smart and has so much to offer this world that's why I can't even image ger being put down she is so intelligent I've never seen a dog with so much knowledge she even was potty trained at 9 weeks when I found her she has only went potty inside 1 time that's becuae she couldn't get outside to take care of her business. It would mean the life of my puppy to receive some assistance in her surgery cost and aftercare I can't image life without her. I'm not able to pay. I filled for care credit it says no I tried scratch pay etc. Please we need help

I adopted Meeka when she was 9 weeks old. She is a husky and lab mix. She is 5 years old and has a lot of energy and loves to play. And is a big love bug that loves cuddles. Meeka goes to Midway Small animal clinic. And I also have another dog her name is Bailey and her and Meeka got into a dog fight the other day and Bailey bit Meeka a few areas and the one I’m worried about is on her head that’s an open puncture wound. She is my daughter and me and my fiancé and my son love her very much! She loves us very much and always follows us and loves to sleep with one of us. Every time we leave she waits at the window waiting for us to return. She is our baby! I am on disability and it’s been a real struggle and I don’t have the money to take my baby to the vet to get her wounds looked at and cleaned. It would mean the whole world to us if we get get the help to take our baby to our vet to get her checked out. I would be blessed!

Noorie is a rescue and I adopted her from a dog shelter when she was 3 years. She is a very nervous dog and is now attached to me so much so that she will not be with anyone else. Its been 4 years now and she has really come out of her shell and is more comfortable meeting new people. Noorie loves exploring the trails and was enjoying herself when she injured herself and is completely paralyzed in her hind legs and unable to walk. Unfortunately, this happened on Christmas morning so not a good start to the holidays. Her X-ray shows no broken bones which means it is a spinal injury. We already spent $2,240 to get a CT scan done which was expensive but showed she had a herniated Noorie is a rescue from Kentucky and when we came here I was told not to take her our in cold weather as she is not use to it. I laugh when I think of that now coz she loves the winter season especially snow here in Toronto. The colder the temperature (along with snow) the more she wants to stay out. Problem is I love my summers so its always a challenge to get her back in. This is a sudden major expense and i kick myself now for not buying pet insurance. I will definitely keep aside emergency fund for her in the future as this pre-existing illness will not be covered but I really hope to have her up and running soon.

Ginger was brought into our lives as the offspring of my emotional support animal and my dog Willow. She is pure dachshund since getting her. We live in a house with my boyfriend his three cats, her sister and her mom and her dad.. She was born with hip dysplasia and is partially blind and deaf. She is my son’s emotional support animal so it is of great importance that we get her checked out. we recently noticed that she was having diarrhea which included blood. We have altered her food situation numerous times to try and get her to gain weight, but nothing seems to work. She has recently started losing fur to the point. She has a bald spot. She sees Dr. Smith at Washington animal Hospital or it might be Animal Hospital Of Washington but we are desperate to get her in and get her seen. she is a special needs dog she has been since she was born. she means the world to my son and myself. losing her would devastate us she is the joy we alll need right now well it started when i lost my jon, then two days after Thanksgiving we became homeless. And August I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that has left me unable to work. And my son taking care of me.
