Biscuit came into my life a week ago from being, what seems like, abandoned. He was found on the streets of Akron and ended up following my friend home. I took him in, he’s about 6 months to a year old! He was found injured and I didn’t want to leave him on the streets. He currently lives with me and I have claimed ownership of him! Biscuit needs surgery in the next few weeks on his tail. He was taken to 2 vets in the past few days and it’s an urgent matter. When he was found there was a large cut that has, in the past week, gotten worse. The very tip of his tail is unfortunately dead and he would need it amputated. Amputations cost upwards of 1k not including any medication or anesthesia needed for the procedure. Biscuit has been the SWEETEST thing anyone can ask for. Despite being injured he LOVES head kisses, being pet, and cuddling! He’s been eating so much he’s already getting so big! He’s very friendly and playful once he warms up to you initially! He’s a little vocal to tell you that he wants your attention and pets! Since he was a stray that I had taken in, I was not prepared for the financial hardships that would occur caring for an injured animal. I want him to be out of pain and not fear his wound would get infected. Biscuit deserves a happy loving home and I want to give him that!

Walter

Walter is a 1 year old Sphynx in MOUNTAIN HOME, ID, who needs $2,000 for Total Ear Canal Ablation. TECA.

Paula and I were gifted Walter. My partners mom gave him to us as a birthday present and they didn't know he had recurring left ear infections that are now requiring a surgery costing us $5300-$6400 we are not pulling much income and we need help paying the bills. Walter was a rescue and he was neglected by his original owner who never fixed his ear infection when he was a kitten. Anything helps Walter had an ear infection as a kitten and it never got taken care of the person who bought him from a breeder did not take care of him and kept him in a house with many untaken care of pets and even used human ear drops to try and treat it. This only made it worse and his condition is now requiring a TEKA which is a slightly risky procedure and West Vet has a 100 percent success rate. Walter is extremely friendly and curious he loves people. We have taken him to the park on a leash and he absolutely loves wandering around and meeting new people. Walter has also made our lives better with his enthusiasm and courage. He is prone to riding on your shoulders or your head. I am a seasonal worker for the forest service and Paula is working for a medical group but neither of us make more than a base wage and we are renting. Unfortunately this bill is going put us in a tight situation

Bella has been with us since 8 weeks old we got her from a family member we have bellas daughter who is 1 years old, we breeded bella and she had 4 puppies we stayed with luna and the rest of the puppies are with other family members bella is a brindle and luna is a merle Bella and luna both sleep in their own bed in my room at night and while im at work they sleep in their house bella and luna are inseparable, they love to play fetch, play out in the yard and sunbathe Bella loves balls, water bottles, toys that make sounds she is a well behave dog she loves everyone,very playful and loves kids bella is such a good girl We notice bella started to shake one night she wasn't being herself not eating not playing, staring at the wall, i figure something was hurting, or she hurt herself, we took her to the vet and we were told her white blood counts were low so they started her on antibiotic, but she wasn't getting well so we took her back to the vet because then we notice she was losing control of her back legs DR said her back disc were the problem & she would have to be crated for 6-12 weeks with meds if she didnt get well we would have to get her a MRI & surgery which are both very expensive & due to our income we cant afford either the Dr suggested acupuncture & Lazer therapy

When we first laid eyes on this gorgeous kitten, our hearts sank. She reminded us of another kitten we once fought desperately to save—lost, sick, exhausted, and seemingly ready to give up. It was as if little Miss Trina had stopped fighting and was simply waiting for someone to find her. This tiny Siamese kitten, estimated to be just 5 to 6 weeks old, was discovered all alone outside. Nearby, an adult cat watched over her, and we believe it may have been her mother. We are actively trying to bring her to safety too, because nobody gets left behind here. Miss Trina was found in heartbreaking condition. Her eyes were completely swollen shut with infection and pus. Her tiny body was covered in ticks. She was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection and was so dehydrated and weak that she could barely move. She couldn't see, couldn't eat on her own, and had lost the energy that every kitten should have. Thankfully, a compassionate Good Samaritan found her just in time. Right now, Miss Trina is receiving intensive care. She is being syringe fed formula and HydroCare to keep her nourished, receiving fluids to combat dehydration, antibiotics to fight infection, and medicated eye treatments to give her the best chance of saving her sight. She spends most of her time curled up on a heating pad, resting and gathering strength for the long battle ahead. Every hour matters. While we have already seen small signs of improvement after just one night in rescue, Miss Trina still has a long road to recovery. Castaway Critters is committed to giving her every chance to survive and thrive, but the costs of emergency care, medications, supplies, quarantine protocols, and ongoing treatment add up quickly. Hi everyone, this is my cat Felix who I rescued about 2 months ago from my neighborhood. I first found her hanging out on my front yard fence and she looked so malnourished I quickly ran to the store got her some food and I fell in love with her she’s the sweetest thing ever she’s so affectionate and playful I’m here seeking urgent help for my kitten she’s been throwing up non stop, she’ll throw up after drinking or eating anything seems like she can’t keep anything down. She also is very lethargic not even much she does go to her litter frequently she also has diarrhea. She’s not interested in eating but she will drink water but then she’ll throw it up. My Felix favorite friends are my 2 dogs Toby and Roxy they love playing and running around the house as well as taking naps together. She’s super playful and loves to give affection and loves her snacks I’m a full time college student whose going through my own medical issues that have prevented me from working I take classes online and can’t really leave my house due to some mental disorders that I’m going through. My mom helps with the little she can she’s elderly.

I am pet lover. I have a turtle, cat and dog. I received Nova as a gift. Her markings remind me of a galaxy. She's fun and playful but has a mass under her eye. We have had 4 vet visits and the last visit said it would be over $1000.00 for surgery. We are a small family just my son and we are both really close to above Nova and concerned if nothing is done she can loose her eye. Nova likes to play with out cat King and his friend Monk. She's very agile and loves a good race. She loves to cuddle and keeps and eye on the home. She's the best at cheering me up after a long days. She's loves to eat, she can't get enough of bones and treats. She wants your attention and will make sure you see her she talks back and gets an attitude when she doesn't get her way. A true queen! Nova is has qualities that attracts the whole neighborhood. Her markings are unique blue merle. She's so gentle. She has a nature to want to snuggle all the time. She likes to get dressed and wear her sweaters. She's one of a kind, she gets so excited on our morning walks and struts the neighborhood. She was gift to get me walking after knee replacement surgery. She's helped me heal. Nova has a had a small mass since June under her eye. We went to the vet and we were told she has a clogged tear duct. Nothing serious, we did the course of antibiotics and help for a few weeks. On the 4th visit they said she needs anesthesia and exploratory surgery to remove the mass and it starts at $1000. She need to be spaded as well. This is a sudden unexpected expense. I have spent the money I put away on the other visits. It's becoming critical for her to have surgery. They said she could loose an eye if not. The abscess is moving her eye out of socket. We are great full for any donations to her vet.

Shane

We adopted Shane from the shelter for my brother's birthday and we named him Shane inspired by the film "Radio Flyer" about two brothers and their German Shepard. Shane is now suffering from a sever knee injury. We have tried conservative methods such as rest and medication, surgery for his torn ligament is being recommended since he's not getting better. The possibility of losing mobility in his back leg for lack of proper care in due time would be too devastating for words. He thinks hes a lap dog and he'll sit on you as if he is, if you are on the floor he'll make sure to land right on you. He destroys plushies and is very food-morivated, he loves bone broth on top of his kibble. We as a family don't make nearly enough to cover the medical expenses to save Shane's leg. To have support at a time like this would mean everything to us, we've done all we can with all we can and now its up to the community to help us save Shane.
