Lady

Lady is a 10-year-old Malitpoo in San Diego, CA, who needs $1,500 for cancer treatment.

San Diego, CA

Lady was named after Lady from Lady in the tramp. I've had her since the day she was born and she would always whine at the door at night until she was inside on your bed. I instantly knew that name was perfect for her. She's extremely spoiled and even though she's not a puppy anymore she still acts like one and still whines and paws at the door until you let her cuddle up next to you. Lady is the boss of the house even though she is the youngest. She makes sure she gets pets from everyone at home, and loves to cuddle. Her favorite activities are car rides to Starbucks for puppacinos, long walks to the park, and going to the beach. Lady has always been in our lives and is the best dog and companion I could ever ask for. My family lives on a day to day salary working as house cleaners, and due to covid they have faced financial losses due to their clients canceling for health reasons. I am currently an unemployed college student and do not have enough savings to pay for her surgery. Lady has been diagnosed with a malignant mammary gland (cancer) and stage 4 periodontal disease. Her x-rays and blood work have come back normal so thankfully the cancer has not spread throughout her body. We hope to get her into surgery as soon as possible to get her tumor removed so that she can be cancer free! Lady will be seeing Dr. Arman at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital. Lady is a one of a kind dog, and has so much personality that I am convinced she's a human trapped inside a dogs body. Everybody that she meets absolutely loves her and she shows her affection and happiness by giving happy barks and squeals. When you give her a treat she spins around in circles and wants to give you high fives.

Belle

Belle is a 10-year-old Shih Tzu Mix in Tempe, AZ, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery.

Tempe, AZ

Belle came into my life after a traumatic relationship from a friend as a puppy. She was the 1 of the last of her litter but I knew she was the puppy for me. It was Belle & me for years until I met my now fiance, but sometimes I think they love each other more than me. Now my son is her best friend. He loves to cuddle on her bed with her. Belle loves being outside. As a puppy we would spend hours at the dog park, even if there was no one else to play with that day. When we're inside as long as Belle can keep on eye on everyone she is content. She snuggles right in the hall way in such a way that she can keep the best eye on the kids room and me in the living room. Belle needs this surgery so she can get back to her activeself. Belle means so much to me because of the emotional situation she helped me through. The surgery needs to happen next month & I am just not able to make the deadline without help. Belle has always been active & healthy with regular visits with her vet, Rick S. Wells, DVM, since I got her in 2010. He saved her life about 3 years ago in an emergency surgery for pyometra. Recently I noticed Belle limping, once again her vet made special time for her and quickly diagnosed that she has a torn ACL. Belle is most special because she has always brought a smile to her face. She is very quirky and has always done her own thing, even with obedience training. Even on my worst days she can always find some way to make me smile, whether is be bring me her favorite toy or forcing me to snuggle with her by poking her nose into my arm or leg until I have to give in.

Crowley

Crowley is a 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier in Round Rock, TX, who needs $2,000 for tick disease.

Round rock, TX

We have had sweet Crowley since he was 2 weeks old. We bottle fed him and woke up every few hours (like having a newborn) he has been the best addition to our family and a brother to our human daughter. He lights up our lives with his bright personality and his character. He is the most loving pup ever. Never mean, never barks, always wants cuddles. Crowley has a human sister and a mom and dad who love him dearly. He is friendly. Loves pets, and cuddles and never growls or barks.- even at other animals. He loves making new friends human and animal alike. He is gentle, compassionate and loves to sit with his mom. While she cooks in the kitchen or lay on the floor in his sisters room while she plays. This is an unexpected major expense. While we do have some funds to cover his needs this could be pricey and could drain us financially. We are prepared for emergencies but even unexpected costs and events make hard times Crowley unexpectedly fell ill after we came back from vacation. He started with vomiting and weakness then lost the ability to walk. (He is 8 months old) we took him into the emergency center and he is presenting with an aggressive form of tick disease. He is on constant pain meds as well as steroid and antibiotics to treat the illness. He is special because he is ours. He has truly stolen our hearts from the moment we met him. He is a part of us and not a moment goes by that he isn’t making us smile or laugh! He’s the sweetest and goodest boy ever and he truly lights up our lives. Without him we didn’t know what we were missing and with him, he makes us whole.

Scout Aldridge

Scout Aldridge is a 4-year-old German Shepard in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $4,000 for Vincristine, cyclophosphamide, doxorucibin.

Phoenix, AZ

Scout was up for adoption at the Maricopa County Animal Shelter. He was 40lbs at the time and when he came into the room he completely released his bladder onto the floor, showing me he was not walked enough. He came to me and licked me, he was so excited to see people. I took him home 3 days later. I fed him and loved him up to 77lbs!!❤️ Scout LOVES people. He licks them, comforts them. Barks at us when he wants something. We taught him to speak and now he yells at us, it's very funny. He loves to cuddle me on the bed and always has to be near me. He's my buddy. We've always been so connected, I feel as if he is my familiar. He always knows when I'm sad or upset and is right there to love on mama. My boyfriend and I are both mentally ill. I also have chronic pain. I receive disability payments, but due to unfortunate events I have been overdrafted for two months and at risk of losing my home. My boyfriend is struggling with his mental illness so badly he can't work. Scout was snoring very loudly for about a week. I then took him to the vet where he was diagnosed with lymphoma. I was told not to see an oncologist because it is expensive, but I wanted him to survive and thrive. So I took him to Arizona Veterinary Oncology where he currently receives treatment. His vet's name is Dr. Lynda Beaver. Scout loves me sooooo much. And I love him just as much. I've never felt so much love from a dog. Now I know why people love dogs so much! Scout loves to talk back to me, and he will refuse to go on a walk until I go! It's so cute. I have depression and sometimes I can't even get out of bed, but he forces me to be active. I'm very grateful.

Rogue

Rogue is a 1-year-old Mix in Lehighton, PA, who needs $1,200 for tail amputation.

Lehighton, PA

Rogue stared at my 13 year old through a glass window located in a pet shop inside the mall. My daughter fell in love with her and became her human mom. We’ve had her beautiful soul for 1 year and love her dearly. At the time of purchase we did not realize how much joy she would bring to our household. She loves to play with her cat sister who we also purchased at the same time as her. Rogue likes to hide under the bed, use her paws to try to open closed doors, and knock over her bowl full of water daily. She a very outgoing, high energy, and sweetheart. She’ll allow you to pet her on her own terms and purrs for affection. This is an unexpected costly procedure that is not budget friendly. 250$ cost at discharge and now 1200$ or so for the tail amputation and any other additional charges. She began chewing her tail on 2/21/21 at 11pm at night. At 1 am I noticed blood all over and she was very agitated. She chewed a piece of her tail off and we couldn’t stop the bleeding. She was rushed to the emergency clinic where she was discharged at 2:58 am. She’s on antibiotics, pain meds, has a cone on her head so she wouldn’t keep biting her tail. Tail amputation was the option given. She has a very unique personality and is the boss. She meows after she knocks down her water bowl for you to refill it for her. Rogue makes sure to play loudly while you try to sleep and she jumps on you throughout the night to wake you up. She’s a huge part of our daily lives and is so loved. Rogue brightens any dark room.

Prissy Missy

Prissy Missy is a 6-year-old Khao Manee in Phoenix, AZ, who needs $1,503 for Pyometra.

Phoenix, AZ

Prissy Missy was brought home to me by my guy he’d found a litter of kittens where he works and knew they needed to be cared for. I took them all in get them all warmed up kept all for a few weeks found home for all but one, Prissy Missy, She stayed with us! She has been mama’s girl ever since! I’d be lost with out her! Prissy Missy is QUEEN OF THE HOUSE! It is her way or no way. The others must give her baths when she wants them And if she’s in a mood she’ll chase all of them off the bed, letting them know she rules & it’s her time not theirs! She is quite the character! I would be lost without her, she is my baby! I haven’t worked for almost a year so I’m behind on everything, just started a part time job last week for 4 hours a day M-F 20 hours a week and did a good job so they moved me up to 6 hours per day M-F so I now get $30 hours a week. I can’t afford a whole lot. Prissy has always been a healthy kitty, the past few days she has been really quiet & seems to have a problem in her Vaginal area with a discharge. She’s been hiding out which she never does. Took her to the vet & she needs pyrometra surgery. She’s such a tiny little thing and healthy otherwise. I just don’t want to loose my baby. Prissy Missy totally rules the house! Her & my hubby play games with one another where she will get up & lay right on his chest with no worry in the world. Whether he can move or not is his problem, she is comfortable! He will tap on her when she is sitting near him & when she looks at home he acts all innocent then she’ll dart towards him like he’s her prowl!

Toes

Toes is a 11-year-old Domesticated Shorthair in Fort Wayne, IN, who needs $1,600 for a leg amputation.

Fort Wayne, IN

I got Toes as an early birthday gift way back in 2009 - My sister and I both got a kitten when my cousin's cat had a litter. Unfortunately, my sister's cat passed years ago, but Toes has stuck it out. She's been with me for 11 years now and is the love of my life, still as cuddly and loving as ever. As much as I want her to be an indoor cat (she is older and unfortunately moderately overweight, which I've just started to work on in preparation for her surgery) Toes loves the outdoors. Only for a couple hours at most, every other day or so. But she loves people and puts up with my grandma when she likes to 'play'- meaning she just tries to annoy the poor cat whenever I'm not around to stop her With the world situation as it is I haven't been able to get back to work in a long time, and my savings are depleted. My family has been in poverty my whole life almost and we could barely afford the exam cost, let alone this. I want my baby to have a long life by my side She went missing for an entire week, and when we got her back her leg was hurt. Her hip is badly dislocated and needs to be amputated, unless we can get enough to save it, but that cost is around double what the amputation costs. The vet wants to do the surgery as soon as possible to relieve her of her pain. My cat is very special to me for so many reasons! Not only did she never let me leave while she was kitting (before I had her spayed) but she has, on a few occasions, tried to save my life! Sure, burnt popcorn or an overheated pan isn't lifethreatening but it didn't stop her from trying to get me to follow her outside to safety!

Ruca

Ruca is a 3-year-old Mixed in Norman, OK, who needs $2,000 for Hyperbaric chamber therapy and cold laser therapy .

Norman, OK

It’s just me and Roo on our own and she is all I have. I’ve had her since she was 9 weeks old and she has brought so much joy in my life. She’s an only child so she gets spoiled rotten! Mom loves her more than anything in this world and would do anything for her. She is so friendly to everyone (pups included) and loves to play. She sleep with mom sometimes (mom would prefer her to sleep in the bed all the time) she’s very independent and gives so much love. She enjoys going to Mimi and papas house! She also loves to play with her doggy friends and loves thanksgiving and Christmas holidays( obviously for the food and presents) I’m young college student with about $15,000 in student loan debt and still don’t graduate until next semester. I work about 30 hours a week as a nanny but barely make ends meet. credit card already has $2500 that I will have to pay off. I also had to take a week off of work A couple weeks ago we had a mass removed on her foot. Luckily it was benign however the “recovery” has been a true nightmare. Her stitches and staples was cutting off her blood supply so she had major swelling(her paw doubled in size). We were recommended to the best(and very expensive) vet in okc. We have to do lots of therapies and still may have to amputate. She is such a goofy girl and always does things to make me laugh. She’s too smart for her own good and is a total foodie(however kinda picky-she doesn’t eat her fruits and veggies) she LOVES to go swimming, play with the water hose however she is not a huge fan of bath time. She only howls at tornado sirens.

Hailey

Hailey is a 10-year-old Chihuahua in Branford, CT, who needs $1,800 for Mammary Mass Removals and Dental.

Branford, CT • Murphy's Paw Rescue Inc.

Hailey is an itty bitty senior Chihuahua who was found stray. It's hard to imagine...but it's true! When she was picked up by animal control, off she went to the shelter. Hailey is a super lovable and grateful little foster girl. She will shower you with kisses (and despite her wretched breath)...she is impossible to resist! Don't worry...a full dental with extractions is also part of her upcoming surgery date! Food, kisses and snuggles are probably a tied when it comes to her favorite things in life! Hailey makes us laugh because among all the other dogs in her foster home...she is MUCH MUCH smaller! But she walks along side the biggest of dogs, isn't the least bit shy and will cuddle up with all the pit bulls in her foster home without a second thought of the size difference. She is no princess and is just grateful to be off the streets and safe. Hailey was pulled from the shelter by Murphy's Paw Rescue and was placed into a loving foster home. As we started the vetting process of exams, bloodwork, vaccines etc...a mammary mass was found as well as the fact that she has a low grade heart murmur. Also, her teeth are in dire need of cleaning and extractions which is important to her heart health. Hailey is safe in foster and has started the pre-surgical labs to prepare for her upcoming surgery on March 28th. In addition to bloodwork, mammary mass removals, dental and pathology is estimated to cost between $1,300-$1,800.
