Sweet Phoenix has a few medical needs. Will you help him?

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

One of the fosters for Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno first spotted this sweet boy living in a feral colony on her street. One day, Phoenix had a full tail and the next, one-third of it was suddenly gone. He also has a painful abscess in his mouth that needs medical attention. They knew they couldn't leave him to fend for himself, so the rescue agreed to take Phoenix into their care and give him the treatment he needed to heal. Despite everything he's been through, Phoenix is incredibly sweet. He deserves so much more than life in a feral colony. He deserves a safe home, a soft bed, and a family who will love him forever. Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno is asking for your help to cover Phoenix's veterinary care, medications, and recovery. Every donation helps them continue saying yes to animals like him who simply need someone willing to give them a chance. Please donate if you can. Every dollar, no matter the size, makes a huge difference.

Let’s Turn Things Around for Angel

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Angel is a sweet kitty who has gotten the short end of the stick over the last 11 years. Kitty Kisses of Reno Cat Rescue had rescued her from a hoarding situation in Hawaii not long ago. When we found her she was emaciated, covered in fleas, scarred from scratching and poor hygiene, and arthritic. She also had severe gingivitis and will need multiple tooth extractions. All of these were signs of sheer neglect. Just when we thought we had her full list of work she needed done, we took her back to the vet where we discovered she would also need a spay surgery and she has an advanced heart murmur. Before we can move forward with her spay and dental work, Angel will need an EKG to assess her heart. Her vet bills are already estimating at least a $2500 cost. Because most of this work came to us as a surprise, we need your help. Kitty Kisses will never turn down a cat who needs our help, but we were far too unprepared for the state she’s in. We value transparency and want to share the details of the cats that come into us. Angel has been failed before, and it’s now our responsibility to never fail her again. Every dollar helps us get closer to our goal. This sweet girl needs our help, please donate and share her story.

Lark

🚨Please help this critically ill kitty to stop urinating blood

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Lark has only ever known pain. She was rescued from a trailer park, sick with a cold, covered in fleas, underweight, and painfully terrified. She had clearly been surviving on far too little for far too long. Little did we know, the worst was yet to come. In foster care, Lark began receiving medications, nutritious food, and gentle love. For a while, it seemed like she was finally turning a corner. But then something terrifying happened—Lark suddenly began peeing blood. What should have been a moment of relief quickly turned into fear and urgency. Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno immediately rushed her for testing. Urine cultures, bloodwork, and ultrasounds were all performed—but shockingly, every test has come back negative. While that might sound like good news, it isn’t. Lark is still bleeding, and they still don’t have answers. Without a diagnosis, they can’t give her the targeted treatment she desperately needs. Now, Lark needs more extensive testing to uncover what’s wrong and stop her pain before it becomes life-threatening. These advanced diagnostics are costly, and after so many emergency cases, their medical funds are stretched dangerously thin. Lark has already survived neglect, illness, and fear. She shouldn’t have to suffer in silence now because we can’t afford to keep searching for answers. Please consider donating to help fund the next steps in Lark’s medical care. Every dollar brings us closer to answers, relief, and healing for this gentle girl. Thank you so much. 2/24/26 Update Lark is receiving the necessary medical attention she needs but still needs your support to fully heal. 4/16/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported Lark on her healing journey! She is doing great and is well on her way to recovery. She will hopefully find her forever home soon. Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno couldn't have done it without you.

Paw McCartney

From The Shadows Of A Hoarding Case To Emergency Surgery, Docile Survivor Now On A Long Road To Recovery

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Poor Paw McCartney has had it rough from the start. He was rescued from an animal hoarding case. He reeked of cigarette smoke & cat urine when we got him. His mom was so stressed out that she overgroomed & essentially ate his ears off. He recently tore out his claw playing and needs a toe amputation. He can't seem to catch a break! We want him to heal and be available to find a loving forever home! He deserves it He will need to have 1 toe amputated. He tore the tissue around his claw so deeply that bone was exposed and the tissue is dying off. He is being treated by the veterinarian team at VCA Loomis. Paw is truly the sweetest feline I have encountered in all my years in this field. He is docile, sweet, calm and loving. He loves to be held like a baby, purring and slow blinking. We are a very small non-profit helping where we can. We have had 2 emergencies pop up and have no funds to get these kitties the treatment they need and deserve to be healed, happy and healthy. Medical costs in cases like this are incredibly high, and we are determined to get Paw across the finish line so he can finally find the forever home he’s deserved since day one. No amount is too small. Every dollar goes directly to Paw’s surgery bill and post-op care. ❤️‍🩹 4/14/26 Update Thank you to everyone who supported sweet Paw McCartney on his healing journey! Thanks to you, he is well on his way to recovery and has received the best medical treatment and care. This boy deserves to live out a life full of health and love. Thank you!

Rosebud

Rosebud is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Reno, NV, who needs $2,000 for x-rays.

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Sweet Rosebud was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Her mom was so stressed in that environment that she chewed off all of her kittens’ ears in desperation. (Thankfully, Mom and every cat from that home have since been rescued and spayed or neutered.) Recently, little Rosebud was rushed to urgent care after she began drooling, dry heaving, and refusing to eat. Tests revealed her red blood cell count is dangerously low. While she’s thankfully negative for parvo, FIV, and FeLV, she’s still very sick and fragile. They’ve started her on anti-nausea medication, antibiotics, and antiparasitics, but if she doesn’t improve soon, she’ll need X-rays—the next critical step in diagnosing what’s wrong. Unfortunately, Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno can’t afford that cost right now as their emergency funds are severely low. Rosebud has already endured so much pain and fear in her short life. 💔 Please help us give her the care she needs and the chance to finally feel safe, healthy, and loved. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference. 🐾💗

A Small Life, Deeply Loved: Help Us Cover Puma’s Care

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Puma Thurman was a sweet and curious young kitten, just beginning to explore the world around her. Playful and full of personality, she had already won the hearts of her foster family. But one night, everything changed. Without warning, Puma became extremely lethargic and unresponsive. Her foster rushed her to the emergency vet, fearing the worst. At the hospital, vets discovered that Puma’s glucose levels were dangerously low and her heartbeat was faint. She was in critical condition, and the medical team acted quickly to try to stabilize her. Despite their best efforts and around-the-clock care, Puma’s condition continued to decline. Her body was simply too small and too fragile to recover. Puma passed away at the emergency clinic, surrounded by compassion and care. Though her time was short, she was never alone, and she was deeply loved by those who fought for her. Her loss has left the team at Kitty Kisses Rescue heartbroken. The rescue is now asking for help to cover the cost of Puma’s emergency treatment. Every donation will go toward her medical bills and help Kitty Kisses continue to respond to urgent cases like hers. Thank you for helping us honor Puma and support future animals in need.

Injured but Brave: Help Pulsifer Get Well

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Pulsifer was just beginning to feel safe in his foster home when everything changed. He was rushed to the emergency vet with head trauma and two broken ribs, his tiny body suddenly in distress. It was a terrifying moment for such a young kitten, but Kitty Kisses Rescue acted quickly to make sure he received the urgent care he needed to survive and begin healing. At the ER, the veterinary team worked to stabilize Pulsifer and assess the full extent of his injuries. Head trauma can be unpredictable, especially in such a small kitten, so they moved carefully with pain management, monitoring, and supportive treatment. Despite the severity of his injuries, Pulsifer remained alert, and the team saw encouraging signs that he was willing to fight. Now in recovery, Pulsifer is resting under close supervision. He is still in a fragile state, but he is safe and receiving everything he needs to begin healing. The next few days will be important as his care team continues to monitor for swelling, breathing issues, or signs of neurological trouble. Kitty Kisses Rescue is now asking for help to cover the cost of Pulsifer’s emergency care and recovery. Your support will ensure he receives the continued treatment, comfort, and monitoring he needs. Please consider donating to help this sweet boy heal and grow strong.

Help Give Steel the Strength to Recover

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Steel is one of several kittens growing up in a warm and loving foster home through Kitty Kisses Rescue. For weeks, he had been playful and curious, just like his siblings, until he suddenly fell ill. Steel suddenly became extremely lethargic and developed severe diarrhea. His foster knew something was wrong and rushed him to the emergency vet. Thanks to the fast response from Kitty Kisses Rescue and the vet, Steel was able to receive care right away. At the emergency hospital, he was given fluids, medication, and close monitoring to stabilize him. While it was a scary and uncertain moment, the rescue team chose to give Steel every chance to pull through. Now, Steel is on the mend. He is slowly gaining strength and has started to put on weight. While he is still not back to full energy, each day brings small improvements. He continues to receive supportive care to help his body fully recover, and everybody is cheering him on! If you are able, please consider donating to help Steel continue healing and get back to the playful kitten he was meant to be.

From Hurt to Healing: Help Theodora Thrive Again

Reno, NV • Kitty Kisses Rescue of Reno

Theodora, lovingly called Teddi, has already endured more than any young cat should. She had been living outside under the care of a kind Good Samaritan when tragedy struck. One morning, he found her in terrible condition, degloved. This means the skin on part of her back leg had been torn away, exposing tissue beneath. It is a traumatic and extremely painful injury that requires urgent surgical care. Kitty Kisses Rescue had already closed intakes due to being at full capacity, but when the veterinary clinic called asking for help, they could not turn their backs. Even though the rescue is stretched thin, a new foster stepped up for Teddi without hesitation. What the rescue does not have are the funds. Taking on Teddi’s case will be costly, and they simply cannot cover it without support. Teddi is now safe in foster care, but she still needs life-saving treatment. Her pain is being managed, but surgery and advanced wound care are essential. Without it, she faces the risk of infection, decline, and continued suffering. This sweet, resilient girl has already fought so hard. Now it is time for her village to fight for her. Please consider donating today to help fund Teddi’s care. She, like all animals, deserves a chance at a bright future filled with love and safety. Let’s help her get just that.
